101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of People Will Lose Crypto in Self Custody on: December 17, 2022, 02:23:38 PM
He make sense and we've been telling people that it's best to keep their crypto assets to a non custodial wallet, wherein they have the full control of their funds.

That doesn't make sense at all, how can he say that 99% of people will lose their crypto to non-custodial wallets, that's just too much. He is simply concerned that more people will become aware of the security of their assets and prefer to secure their assets in their own non-custodial wallets and that Binance will lose out on their potential customers. And is holding assets on Binance safer than non-custodial wallets? nothing guarantees that.

I agree that the number he gave is a bit exaggerated, but there is nothing to blame because he is the CEO of a centralized exchange, and he is just doing what he needs to do, if we sit in the position that we will do the same thing.

It can be said that risk exists everywhere, storing funds on a centralized exchange, we do not have full access to our assets. But if we leave them in a non-custodial wallet, if not stored carefully it also leads to loss.

Manchester United are rumoured to be making an effort to sign Gonçalo Ramos these days. There is still not clear statement from Manchester United side about bringing a striker in January though. But maybe they might be thinking of Ramos for next season. Besides Benfica might not be close to a deal in the middle of the season while he has been very useful for the team until now.
Especially his hat-trick in the World Cup was enough to get the attention of some big teams. Manchester United might want to act faster than the others. He is valued at only 24 million euros for now. Who knows maybe the Red Devils can have a deal with them at around 40-50 million euros the most. But this World Cup performance will surely make an addition to his value.
Gonçalo Ramos attracted the attention of many after this year's World Cup. His performance was really good and it's normal for big teams to be interested. But the Premier League is a difficult league and it is not easy to show the same performance here.
I have some doubts that he is a player who can really do well at Manchester United, Manchester may need a better striker Smiley
But it's true that it's still Manchester United's target, it's just that there hasn't been an official statement yet, the article is that Goncalo Ramos can replace Ronaldo's position, just as he played in Portugal in the world cup, so maybe it would be very suitable if Ten Haga could put him well there. it might happen but unfortunately Manchester United still has other options besides Goncalo Ramos who is in his sights.
Well, this is the same as Nunez when he was still at Benfica, his performance was very good but when he was in the Premier League it was difficult to find good performance again, I think Goncalo Ramos will have to be able to adjust again to his new league later.

Goncalo Ramos is a young player who has great potential. It seems that he is putting on a decent performance at the moment.
The problem with him is that despite his talent, I doubt he will be able to match that performance with Manchester United since he will be facing much bigger and better opponents.
It doesn't seem like there is any reality where he will be able to successfully replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

And, there is no indication that Manchester United are that concerned about bringing him in. In my opinion, he is not capable of filling the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo. Manchester United will have to bring in a better player who will be a reliable goal-scorer. As a first step, Manchester United will need to solve the problems between the authorities and the players in order to move forward.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 17, 2022, 03:49:40 AM
Neuer certainly will not playing and it is confirmed he will ended this season early but for Mane i think there is a chance to this player to recover considering first leg will be held on February so in the next 2 months maybe Mane will playing although there is no official statement regarding Mane current conditions but lets assume if these players cannot be played on the first leg against PSG and for Mane position it shouldn't be a big problem for Bayern because they have several players who can be replace his position on the team but looking for Neuer replacement is a bit hard for Bayern because so far Neuer always be playing for almost each matches in all competitions so lets see how Nagelsmann will overcomes this situation
Mane seems like he is gone just a month, adding some recovery issues and match shape etc etc, he will probably be ready 2 months later. I am not entirely sure if that's going to be certain, injuries and human body is not an exact science, some people recover from achilles in 6 months and start playing, some never recover and become terrible and retire, Mane doesn't have Achilles issue of course, but this example is known and if there are so many differences then we can't "exactly" know when Mane will be back, it's just a guess.

I think he will be ready to play in UCL, and doctors seems to think like that as well, but that is only if everything works well.

I have not seen any official statement from the Bayern Munich management and as a result, I am not sure whether Sadio Mané will be available for the match or not.

As his injury was quite bad, I am not sure if Bayern will be getting him for the match against PSG. But even if they don't get him they have really good alternatives for him.
Maybe they can play Thomas Müller as the striker and play Jamal Musiala right behind him and I guess Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry can fill the Winger positions.
Overall I am really excited about the thrilling match.
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 16, 2022, 08:46:06 PM
I respect all the opinions about Bayern Munich's goalkeeper preference from now on. When it comes to my opinion, I think Livakovic should be signed. Bono and him both have been very impressive of course but I still think Livakovic has more talent than Bono. His being younger is another plus for Livakovic. Besides it would be easier to convince Dinamo Zagreb than Sevilla. Livakovic's current market value is only 8.5 million euros. Of course this performance will make an increase in his value.

Still Bayern Munich can sign him by not spending an enormous amount of money. I think he would be definitely worth it because I don't think Ulreich is credible enough for the Champions League.

Livaković made a few mistakes in the match against Argentina in the World Cup. But I think we have to say the defense was also not really good from Croatia. He is 27 years old. I think that under Bayern Munich, he will be able to improve further and become better. Right now he can be a very good option for Bayern Munich. Because I do not think that they will need to spend too much to get this player.

But I have to say one thing. Whoever they bring in right now, they cannot expect results from the first day. They will have to give him time.

Another thing is, I believe that Livaković is probably the most reliable keeper among all we discussed. He should be the perfect choice among the others for Champions League as well.
105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 16, 2022, 08:30:40 PM
Napoli managed to play their best game with good teamwork, they managed to win 5 times in a row, with this victory they managed to maintain their position at the top of the Serie A League standings and no one managed to take this position away from Napoli. Until the end of this game it looks like Napoli will still be in first place.
As for continuing to stay in first position, I personally still can't say for sure at this point. Because it's possible that other teams will make better changes in the remainder of the season and make Napoli have to fight harder and Napoli may still lose if the other team improves better next year. That's why I still can't be sure if Napoli can continue to stay at the top of the standings until the end of the season, although that is also possible as long as Napoli's consistency in winning matches continues.

There is no doubt that Napoli has played really well this season. Till now they have shown really good performance. But the recent history of them not being able to do well continuously, especially towards the later part of the season, makes me doubt that if they will actually be able to do well after the World Cup.

They really should be able to. Because most of the players of their squad did not play in the World Cup. And that is a big positive for them. And they are also ahead in terms of points. I am also in the same dilemma as everyone else. Everyone is thinking that Napoli should be able to perform well. But they are not certain that Napoli will be able to actually do that.
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 16, 2022, 08:23:02 PM
I think there is about zero chance that Ronaldo will play at Real Madrid again, even if only for half of the season. Although it would be super ironic if he helped defeat Liverpool for example - it would be a shame for Liverpool to suffer from a player who sort of left the Premier League. In general, I think the fact that Ronaldo trains at the Real Madrid base is only a consequence of his good relations with the former clubs where he became a legend. Well, we continue to wait for information about where he will be.

I think we may forget about old Real which plan was just to collect as many starts as they were able to buy. We all know it did not end well.
That's one argument. Another - Real the most probably would spend their money on someone (much) younger who would stay with them for longer. What would CR7 bring them (except maybe extra $ from tshirts and postcards)?

And someone mentioned Zidane - I do not think Ronaldo has the same skills for management and/or training... maybe they may give him bunch of teenagers from team C and see what he will manage to accomplish.

I also agree. Cristiano Ronaldo is not going to impress the Real Madrid authority with his hard work and training as far as I am concerned. It really worries me sometimes that what if Cristiano Ronaldo does not get a team? It will be a shame to see a great player ending his career like this.

No, I really wonder if he should have accepted the offer from the Saudi Arabia team Al Nassr.

I don’t see Real Madrid bringing in Cristiano Ronaldo. Probably Chelsea, Bayern Munich and right now Arsenal might look into this because Arsenal also needs a striker. But why does Newcastle United not bring in Cristiano Ronaldo? That would be something to see.
107  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 16, 2022, 02:23:15 PM
If you are in twenties or early thirties and remain single, earn $3,000 after tax per month, you will probably save $1,000 if you, let's say, spend $500 to $800 on rental, a guest bedroom in a shared house/apartment, $500 on food, $50  on utilities, $150 on phone/internet bills, $400 on commuting costs or gas/maintainance if you have a used car, $200 on occasional entertainment or others. This $1,000 savings will allow you to invest or place a house down payment when time is ripe. Is this possible based on where you live ?

It sounds easy but most people will trap into the lifestyle inflation, so they will be spending what they earn to show others about life style while very few can remain and focus on long term returns over these worthless pride statements. You can save 1000 or even 2000.too which solely depends on how we decide to live no matter how much we earn.

I will agree with this, it will all depend on your lifestyle. If you are someone who has a plan for the future and has a long-term plan right from the start, you will know how to save even if your salary is low. However, if you are a liberal, carefree person or like to show off your style, even making $ 10k / month will never be enough for you. Consciousness and lifestyle will determine everything, no matter what environment you live in.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do in this case? on: December 16, 2022, 02:12:52 PM
FTX and Alameda invest in a lot of altcoin projects as well as different crypto companies, I don't remember exactly how much they invested but probably no less than 100. so I don't think that those 100 projects and companies will also die after they go bankrupt.
The existence and development of the project depend on many factors, and most importantly the project development team, if they are really passionate about their project, they will have enough ways to overcome difficulties.
What I want to tell you and your friends is, investing in altcoins at this point is very risky, selling and switching to bitcoin would be the wiser choice.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Best Crypto Exchange For Altcoins? on: December 16, 2022, 02:01:06 PM
The best way is to go to coinmarketcap and search for the altcoins you want to buy. You will find information about which exchange it is listed on as well as other essential information. But investing in altcoins or shitcoins is very risky, you should consider carefully and research yourself before investing, and don't listen to anyone's advice to invest.
And it should be emphasized that you just did the right thing; you did not put crypto assets on a centralized exchange.
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 15, 2022, 08:35:13 PM
I don't think either Ronaldo or Messi will get away from football completely after their retirements. These are legends who love football very much and we can understand this from their passion to play for longer years still. I think we would definitely see them both as managers or having some other roles at some big teams maybe.
These teams might even be Real Madrid and Barcelona which would be really great to see. It would be lovely to see these legends competing against each other again there.  Smiley
Both have definitely itched there names into the greatest of the game. I see Ronaldo easily becoming a manager, this has been proven from his on field motivational speeches but for Messi it will be a huge surprise, dude is too shy to take up that role but both have vast experience to share to up coming generations. Although there illustrious playing carrier does not guarantee them to be successful managers should they venture on day into it

I don’t know about Lionel Messi, but I can see Cristiano Ronaldo being a manager. These are the two players who have shared the “greatest of all time” tag for a very long time. They have shared a stage that probably no other footballers have. Both of them were and still are really skilled football players. It is hard to imagine that this time is coming to an end.

I know that just because they are really capable players doesn’t mean that they are qualified to be successful managers as well. But I agree with Velvet78, that it is really hard to imagine them staying away from football after their retirement as a player.
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Discussion Thread on: December 15, 2022, 08:29:09 PM
I really think Argentina is going to win this World Cup..... Messi already said it is his last World Cup, so he wants to be known as the GOAT .... and this is his final hoooorah to do it.
I would have wanted to see him against Ronaldo in the final, but that cannot happen anymore..... so I will settle for a Messi vs Mbappe   Grin
I see the odds favor France to win on most sites, but I feel we will see a draw after 90 minutes.  Tongue

Everyone's dream is to bring GOAT CR7 and LM10 together in the world cup final, but unfortunately CR7 has to go home early in the quarter finals and that hurts him a lot. Now talking about the ideal world cup final between Argentina and France, of course both of them have influential players in their team as you say Messi vs Mbappe, we know that stopping these two players requires a strong defense, otherwise there will be opportunities for goals to be created.
At least in the previous match both of them were heavily guarded by 4 to 5 opposing players and that made it difficult for them to move or feed players, but if that continues then there are other opportunities for other players who are free in the opposite position. Apart from all that, I hope that Argentina and France will be able to present an exciting match in the final and hope that at least a total of 4 goals will be scored by each of these countries.

It was obviously a dream for a lot of people to witness the two GOATS in the final. But sadly Portugal could not make it. It was really heartbreaking to see how Cristiano Ronaldo was crying on his exit from the World Cup. Lionel Messi is still there and still fighting.

Yes, we saw Lionel Messi being guarded by at least three players at all times in the match against Croatia. However, Messi was still creating good chances, and he continued dribbling away with the ball. He will have to do that against France as well. He will also need to make chances against France and he will also have to be ready to make some hero plays. And we all know that Lionel Messi is still very capable of doing that. Even the haters of Lionel Messi want him to win the World Cup this time. But it is going to be a challenging task to accomplish.
112  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing against 2024 on: December 15, 2022, 03:20:59 PM
Investment is certainly a good thing and makes our money grow even if good developments can profit hundreds of percent in a year, economic challenges in the future are increasingly stringent and difficult, millionaires prefer investment rather than doing business that is at risk and difficult to get ROI, but with investment Bitcoin then we have the opportunity to be a big profit in a short time.

Investing is certainly better than leaving money in the bank but investing is not always profitable, there are still risks that make us lose.

Bitcoin is not an investment that can get us rich quickly, this is a common misconception among many newbies, and it is this mindset that causes them to lose money. Bitcoin, like any other investment, can make a profit and also cause a loss. Investing in bitcoin requires a specific strategy as well as a long-term plan to gain profits.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDC is not safe on: December 15, 2022, 03:06:52 PM
Do you know that recently binance has stop the withdrawals of USDC? I know they have given a proper reason to it but again i dont feel comfortable with any of these stable coins. Previously i thought BUSD might be the better of these stable coins but the recent Binance fud change my mind.

What i hope that none of these stable coin collapses, as if it happens it will be very bad for the overall crypto market.
But they resumed the withdrawal after 8 hours, and the CEO of Binance mentioned the reason for that action they took, but if you feel panic and uncomfortable, you can divide your funds into other safe stablecoins. I have been reading negative news about USDT for days and today I see that people are posting FUD about USDC even though Changpeng Zhao tried to calm investors' fears via his Twitter account but to no avail. For me, I put the largest part of my capital in BUSD and put the other parts of my capital in USDT and USDC in anticipation of anything happening so that my loss is not huge, so be assured and divide your capital and do not put it all in one stablecoin, this is the perfect solution.

So far, withdrawals on Binance have been no problem, even though the withdrawal amount is estimated at around 6 billion, and everything is very smooth.
In my opinion, there is no need to hold various stablecoins because once they are centralized nothing is safe, and holding them on centralized exchanges is already unsafe.
Currently, converting from fiat to stablecoins is relatively easy, and if we do not need to use that money, it is safer to change to fiat than to hold stablecoins in fear.
114  Economy / Speculation / Re: US Inflation is 7.1%. Bitcoin price broke $18,000. What's next? on: December 14, 2022, 02:00:11 PM

Today, we have a very good new about US inflation is dropped to 7.1% , lowest since December 2021, while few months back we even heard the Inflation even surpassed 9%.
With that being said, Bitcoin also pumped to $18,000, so whats next?

So was the bottom at $15,500 and now we are going to start new leg of bitcoin bullish graph?

Feeling really sad for the people, who waited for Bitcoins to go down till 12k usd. They missed the best time to buy the Bitcoins, and now will cry all over the forum. As said earlier there is no perfect time to buy Bitcoins. If you are able to get Bitcoins in price less than 20k usd, then buy as many as you can. Those who become too greedy, they will now suffer. Nevertheless, if Bitcoin touches 20k usd by the end of this year, then definitely we will see something big from Bitcoins. Let’s hope for the best.

I also can't entirely agree with someone not using DCA and waiting for bitcoin to drop to $12k, but I'm afraid I also have to disagree with you that if bitcoin hits $20k, we won't stand any chance of falling back again. The bear market is still ongoing, and the bitcoin halving is more than 500 days away from us, so I still believe bitcoin can still fall further after this short-term bull run.
Falling CPI has pushed up the bitcoin price, and if the Fed lowers rates today, bitcoin could hit $20,000, but that's not enough to say that bull season has arrived.

116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin/Crypto Donations; The negative impact on it price on: December 12, 2022, 03:03:44 PM
Without bitcoin, I believe that the amount of donations that Ukraine receives is very small, it will not even reach the Ukraine government if you use fiat currency.
Without bitcoin, many people in other countries would be unable to donate to them, you also know that transferring money across borders in fiat is complicated and time consuming. While bitcoin can solve this problem, why stop using bitcoin in this case? Using bitcoin to donate, or do charity not only does not reduce the value of bitcoin, but also proves that bitcoin is superior to all.
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investors to Get Richer When Fed Pivots, Prints Trillions of Dollars on: December 12, 2022, 02:49:39 PM
How can gold and silver will make you rich? it's used to protect your wealth, not make you become wealthy. When you hold silver or gold for 3 years and the price is increase for 20%, don't think you're make money, you also need to look on the inflation rate. If fiat value decrease for 20%, this mean it's what should be!

While Bitcoin it's different, if you have bought Bitcoin at $3K on 2018 and then sold it for $69K on 2021, you're already get 21x of your initial profit, easy money!

If you be sure about bitcoin, I suggest you sell all your assets and invest all your assets in bitcoin, you will become a billionaire thanks to bitcoin. And as Don Pedro Dinero said, it's easy to get rich by buying bitcoin for $69k and selling it for $17k. LOL.
Bitcoin is an investment that can bring high returns, but it is not a god that can make anyone who invests in it rich. Everyone will have a different investment concept, there is nothing wrong with investing in bitcoin and nothing wrong with someone investing in gold.
I don't know if you've become a billionaire by investing in bitcoin, but I do know that billionaires these days, all invest in gold.
118  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Gas ban - A problem for Europe or suicide for Russia? on: December 12, 2022, 02:33:44 PM

I have read several analysts' predictions and most believe that Russia will win the oil price ceiling war and that European sanctions will backfire.
Like any war, this energy war result is also not possible to predict. There are battles in this war that West wins and some battles that East wins while the war is not yet over.
Considering that so far the oil producing countries are working together and reduce production and keep the price up, the chances of Eastern Bloc winning is higher.

P.S. The recent disruptions in China which is one of the biggest buyers of oil has helped the price dump recently. We've to wait and see how their comeback and their big buys (specially after the recent visit to Saudi Arabia) is going to affect the market.

The main reason for the recent drop in oil prices is that China's demand is slowing down with the zero covid policy. And I agree with what you said, once China reopens the economy will cause demand to pick up again, and OPEC's policy of reducing oil production will definitely make the oil market rise again.

During President Xi Jinping's recent visit, he also proposed to pay in yuan instead of USD, it would be more interesting if Saudi Arabia accepted this offer.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 12, 2022, 12:25:42 PM
The Australian Open will start soon. It will be a while until 2023, but Djokovic will still be very keen to achieve a good result here. He was not allowed to participate in the last edition. I don't know what exactly has changed in the rules. Alcaraz is the number 1 in the world, but I don't see him as the top favorite for the title in Melbourne. Djokovic is placed 5th, but in his situation that does not say much. It is remarkable that Medvedev has dropped quite a few places in the world rankings, he can now be found in 7th place in the current rankings.
Based on the track record of Djokovic, anyone will easily say him to be the champion. This will gradually change, as more young players are making themselves better with time. The position keeps varying, but the gameplay improvement is the factor that decide the outcome of the match. A good list of players can be picked now, Alcaraz, Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Fritz, Zverev, Berrettini etc. When matches played between these players we can have the odds closer but we can't easily predict the outcome of the match.

You are right @safari88 and I think that even though Alcaraz is number one right now, he might not be able to win the next Australian Open. And she simply has been a little too inconsistent in recent times despite being the number one player in tennis. I really wish that Novak Djokovic could play in the last edition. Due to the fact that he has not been able to play in the last edition of the Australian Open, he will be very much determined to prove that he is a serious contender to win the Australian Open this time around.

Yes, I have said that Alcaraz is not the hottest player entering the next Australian Open. But at the same time, we will have to remember why he is number one right now. He might not be the favorite to win the Australian Open, but he is also not very far away from that conversation as well.
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: December 11, 2022, 03:53:24 PM
As a result of this injury Gabriel Jesus, according to the latest news, will be absent long enough from football to recover. Gabriel Jesus had knee surgery in London and it went well. Arsenal does need a replacement for Gabriel Jesus, and several replacement players who are likely to replace Gabriel Jesus in the next transfer window are likely to be recruited by Arteta, such as Victor Osimhen from Napoli, Jonathan David da Lille, Ivan Toney from Brentford, Tammy Baraham from Rome and Armando Broja of Chelsea. Most likely the 5 players will replace Gabriel Jesus.
This is very unfortunate news, but it's what we talked about earlier that the World Cup could bring unpleasant surprises for coaches. Gabriel Jesus' injury is a big problem for Arteta as he has already become an indispensable player for Arsenal. You understand how difficult it is to find a replacement for a player in the middle of the season, and not every club will let go of their leaders, Spalletti understands that he needs Osimhen, since Napoli are also fighting for the championship in Serie A.

Arsenal are really in a bind. They really need to find a replacement for Gabriel Jesus. But I don’t know if they will be able to do that successfully.

I have heard that Arsenal are looking for Mykhailo Mudryk. He will probably be able to play as a replacement for Gabriel Jesus. But the problem is he will cost a lot of money to Arsenal. And I am not sure that Arsenal will be able to afford him right now.

Arsenal also have their sights set on Victor Osimhen. But to be honest, a lot of high-profile clubs have their eyes set on him. And Arsenal will already face financial problems if they sign Mykhaylo Mudryk so let’s not talk about Victor Osimhen because he’s going to cost a lot more. So, I think it is now to be a really big problem for Arsenal to stay at the top of the table.
