323  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Campanhas de assinaturas que aceitam posts locais on: May 15, 2017, 07:33:08 PM

all that happens today is the end of the comment period.

Then what is the deadline for a decision?

Will there be an statement or something today?
325  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-05-15]Hackers who infected 200,000 machines have only made $50,000 worth on: May 15, 2017, 06:44:35 PM
The WannaCry ransomware hackers have received around $50,000 worth of bitcoin so far.
The amount the hackers will demand is expected to double from $300 to $600 on Monday.

http://www.cnbc.com/2017/05/15/wannacry-ransomware-hackers-have-only-made-50000-worth-of-bitcoin.html

42.000$ to be exact,at the time of publishing of this article:
https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/bitcoin-accounts-are-under-surveillance-6lb3kglsz
backup your sensitive data like spreadshits, txt files, word documents, photos etc.
a 60$ USB 1 tb hard drive can save you a lot of headache and coins

For coins a hard wallet or a paper wallet is a must. Papers with random numbers are easy to hide around no one would search.

Hard drives can have hardware failures too, so even them are not totally safe, specially when there are physical solutions, like paper wallets
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As much as I like BTC... on: May 15, 2017, 06:39:31 PM
Of course there are technical problems too, faster confirmations would probably lower the security and maybe make things less stable with big adoption, bigger blocks would make harder to maintain a full node.

It is hard to find a solution that would be good for everyone
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s surge fuels fears of asset bubble on: May 15, 2017, 03:06:31 PM
Please post the source of the article, or people might think you are a copying bot or something(also I think I've seen it in the press section)

https://www.ft.com/content/ce3ef54e-371b-11e7-bce4-9023f8c0fd2e

Just more FUD caused by media's lack of information. Even the regularization of BTC in Japan was put in a negative perspective. Better ignore them and do your own judgement, or visit only specialized and trusted sites.

It's always interesting to see the mainstream press showing ignorance about niches that you're a part of.  Makes you wonder if the things you've read about other niches are wrong as well.

When the media is not telling lies because the are the pets of the global elite, they are because of their incompetence, they somehow think they understand things that they don't and are sloppy about their sources of information, so they spread false and inaccurate information.

There is 0 reason why the big media should be trusted in any way
328  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum only gave me half my money on: May 15, 2017, 02:34:53 PM
Maybe the problem is they use different rates of conversion to USD, and the price has fallen a bit recently too.

Check the numbers in BTC, USD means nothing
329  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Problem on recovery old wallet (Blockchain) on: May 15, 2017, 02:28:14 PM
I want to ask if there's a balance on your old blockchain wallet as what you mentioned but if there's none, you can make a new wallet instead of recovering it just a suggestion.
For sure, There's some balance funded on my wallets *That's why I'm looking for solution*

I recovered mine that I used to use 2-3 years ago with the help of recovery by email. I successfully recovered but unfortunately the address that I used to use under that wallet identifier was no longer there.

You can do the same but I won't guarantee that you will recover the desired address you are trying to recover now.
Hey, Thankyou for your sharing.

For now I still keep phrase, id identifier and also paswords. When I'm trying to login, notice showing should to be cheking email for confirmation on this device. And the big problem I do not remember the email I used when signing up  Cry

Verify all your emails and see which one received the confirmation email?
If you can't find then you probably doesn't have access to it anymore
330  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: [AJUDA] Não confirmada à 3 dias. on: May 15, 2017, 01:07:14 AM

Tente acelerar a transação: https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

With the Transaction Accelerator for delayed transactions, you can submit any TXID that includes a minimum fee of 0.0001BTC/KB.

331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major burglary on: May 15, 2017, 12:36:24 AM
According to dictionary, burglary is entry into a building illegally with intent to commit a crime, especially theft.
"a two-year sentence for burglary".

I thought some thief entered his house with the sole purpose of stealing Bitcoins, what would be menacing if they found him through a malware.

This was "just" a hacking, even if a big one.
332  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What they are earning? on: May 15, 2017, 12:30:24 AM
There are services all around the globe for stuff like views, visualizations and likes for most of the social media sites.

They are no worse than the rest of the world, at least in this aspect
333  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Seasteading on: May 15, 2017, 12:26:33 AM
How would you be protected from pirates and such? Most countries can't protect their citizen on land and can't effectvally watch all waterflow.

Also a certain nation in Asia(North Korea) has reports of abducting people from boats in sea, they may attack you and the outside world would never know what happened.

And I don't think the nations and people fleeing to live outside their jurisdiction, I think even the "host" nation would be a threat
334  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Find out if you can get steam games cheaper in different regions on: May 14, 2017, 11:03:09 PM
Or you could a VPN and change your location for the steam to whatever place is the cheapest, then pay with Bitcoins, with no need of a middleman
335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: May 14, 2017, 10:56:38 PM
Sevilla, Celta Vigo, Malaga, those are the next and remain opponent for Real Madrid in the La Liga. If they go on and draw for one point for the upcoming game against Sevilla, but they beat Celta Vigo and Malaga after that, they can still winning the title, the most important thing today is do not lose. I mean just at least draw against Sevilla, don't seem like a mountain to climb, after all they didn't lose to Sevilla at home since 9 years ago, all straight forward winning from Real Madrid.

Guess they managed to sail through successfully. I think the winner of the la liga this season will be determined at the end off he lady games because Barcelona are also firmly challenging and awaiting for a Madrid slip. It's definitely going down to the wire.

Real Madrid have two more games, Barcelona only one

Next games:

Celta Vigo - Real Madrid(no way Real Madrid would lose, Ceta is in a 5 game losing streak)
Malaga - Real Madrid(trickier, but they should get at least a draw, that will be enough, Real Madrid doesn't lose to Malaga since 2012)
336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 14, 2017, 10:48:51 PM
Roma and Juventus both are the very strong giant top team. Anything can happen in this match. hopefully Juventus will win this match.

Juventus already won the title, so it is time for them to fix some games and get some money. I wouldn't bet in favor of them in this season.

It is not unbased FUD, there are sevral instances of comproved corruption in Italian games, even involving Juventus
337  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Bitcoin registra novo topo histórico a R$ 6000 on: May 14, 2017, 09:57:35 PM

338  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best short-term investment you have ever made? on: May 14, 2017, 09:52:00 PM
Litecoin, in the rally to $20+
Bitcoin, last 3 months have been lucrative enough

Also gambling, but it is not an investment and resulted in Bitcoins
339  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy, hold or sell? on: May 14, 2017, 09:42:42 PM
Hold.

People are on hold(no pun intended) about the ETF SEC tomorrow, fearing that the rejection would crash the price at least for some short time.

Once they see that nothing will happen they will buy again. Also the ransomware FUD is past now
340  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 14, 2017, 09:40:29 PM
Price is waiting the new ETF SEC be decided so it can continue it normal trajectory, hopefully towards the moon.

Also no need to tell what the result in price will be if, against all odds, the SEC gets approved.

It is time to hodl, because we are between the return of a bull market and the space ride outside the solar system
