321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: FURY vs WHYTE - CONFIRMED on: February 25, 2022, 11:41:49 PM
Hearn claims Whyte was always going to sign the contract but he was playing mind games with Fury. I think Fury does not care about the mind games, he just wants to get Whyte in the ring so he can defeat him.
Mind games wont work much against Tyson Fury, but he was getting nervous that Dillian Whyte will not accept the fight and if that is the case he needs to find another dance partner to fight for his fans in his native country . Fact is Hearn failed to negotiate a better deal for Whyte Cheesy and after this one he will be fighting Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua and he might possible retire for good as an undefeated boxer.

It has been confirmed earlier today, Wembley Stadium is the place where the fight will take place on 23rd April 2022. Finally  Grin
If they can sell out Wembley Stadium then they are going to make a lot of money with the live gate.

I think this IPL would be a litmus test in his career, Pandya was already released by Mumbai Indians, even Gujarat Titans have taken a pretty big bet making Pandya their captain. But if he can play really well for this team then there is a good chance that he might be given a couple of chances owing to his experience.
If Hardik Pandya can play the entire tournament without any injury then it would be a good start for his recovery and possibly a return to play for India, he can hit the ball a long way and that is his strength. I have not seen him having an incredible spell of bowling but with the bat i have seen him clearing the boundary with ease and if he can do that consistently without any injury then we could see him play again, if not this is the of his short career.

Mohammed Siraj has a test bowling average of close to 30, and his ODI and T20I bowling average is even worse. It is an open secret that he got in to the team purely due to the "RCB quota". This automatically puts other talented pacers like T Natarajan at a disadvantage. Virat Kohli has become a synonym for nepotism and favoritism and players like Siraj and Saini are prime examples for that. That said, I don't expect Rohit Sharma to be any better either. But at least Rohit is a bit better in terms of team selection.
Mohammed Siraj came into the Test line up when all the bowlers were injured in Australia and he made an impact in that series and whenever i saw him bowl he was having an impact in the game picking crucial wickets, his average might not look great but all of his wickets in Test were crucial ones, not sure about his impact on the shorter format but in Test he is a good bowler.

The second Test between South Africa and New Zealand is going on and South Africa had a decent start and new comer Sarel Erwee scored a century but none of the other batsman were able to convert their start into a big innings and they need someone to hold one side and play a long innings to save them in this match.

The problem is that there is already enough hatred between Pakistan and India and I have to say that I don't think Any of the Pakistani and Indian politicians like each other or  I think they don't even like anything about the other country. And it is just exploiting the weakness of regular people which is saying something about their religion or anything else to make them angry against each other. And the media of both countries does a really good job of making sure that people keep hating on each other.
The funny thing is that both are same people who speaks the same language and yet they hate each other, i believe it is political and there is not much hate between normal citizens in both countries. The media and the politicians always want conflict so that they can sell those hatred and win elections  Cheesy.

I really don't think that there would have been many problems playing Pakistan players in the IPL but the main reason is hatred. and as long as Modi is the prime minister of India at thinking this hatred will be going on.
So what is his position as a leader, looks like he is a joke with all the memes and compilations i have seen about his brilliance about war tactics and radar technology  Cheesy.
325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin, You'll Thank Me Later - Mexican Billionaire Says on: February 24, 2022, 11:11:39 PM
In the face of the current crisis that is happening between Russia 🇷🇺 and Ukraine 🇺🇦  Billionaire Salinas is positive in Bitcoin future and has advised investors to buy bitcoin.
During the times of uncertainty i expected the price of Bitcoin to rally but the opposite happened, may be because investors who encountered loss in other financial markets booked their profit in the cryptocurrency market to mange those losses, either way the market came down drastically after the news of an invasion started to appear in the public and i was also planning to sell off everything but then i thought about waiting for a while because even in my mind assets like Bitcoin should rally in times of uncertainty.
326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia cut off from Swift is fantastic opportunity for bitcoin on: February 24, 2022, 11:03:10 PM
I'm reading many articles explaining that Russia shall be cut off from the SWIFT global interbank payments system, as a sanction in response to its invasion of Ukraine. That means it would be impossible to make bank transfers between Russia and most other countries.
The war is unfortunate and for Russia if they are stuck with sanctions then they will overcome those sanctions with cryptocurrency. Cutting off SWIFT is a major move but if they are overcoming these restrictions then there is no point in these sanctions  Grin. Will see how these things will unfold as this will have a major impact economically on a global scale.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whats your opinion ? on: February 24, 2022, 10:13:46 PM
Looks like you jumped into the project once the price started rallying, its all time high is $52 and you jumped into the coin at $31, not sure when you jumped in the coin, when the price was going down or during the rally stage. If you invested during the initial stages then you would have made the profit, right now it is impossible to predict because all the coins are going down and only time will tell when the next rally would be.

On the other hand, the player who is impressing me the most is Venkatesh Iyer with his 2 wickets, I don't think Hardik Pandya is anymore an obvious choice for number 7 in the side at least until he brings back full force in his bowling.
I do not remember Hardik Pandya playing for India in a very long time, he is always struggling with his fitness and there is no way he will be playing an entire series as an all rounder until he proves his fitness in domestic tournament. Is he playing for domestic teams or is he only playing in the IPL.

I missed the match between India and Sri Lanka and i was waiting to place a bet after the start of the match but i missed them completely and India won the match easily.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: February 24, 2022, 12:02:22 AM
At present, I am not very satisfied with the performance of Test cricket in India. Because they play very well at home but can't perform very well abroad.

Consideration needs to be given to Indian players performing outside the country. I think there are a lot of young talented players in India right now, they have ample opportunity to replace the national team players. So we who are fans of India, we have to expect good performance from them. Of course, now they are moving slowly in this regard which is a good thing.
It's very strange for me as you are not satisfied with Indian test cricket performance just after losing one series against South Africa even they won back to back two series in Australia, and recently they are winning a series against England.
People tend to forget the performance from India as they were dominating Australia in Australia with a second string team and then followed that up with a win over England in England and in the first Test against South Africa they won and then lost the next two matches and the series, but overall they are a much different team than they used to and i do not see any real competition if they play their best players in any condition.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 23, 2022, 11:51:52 PM
I know this is not MMA news but seems EAGLE FC is eying a GSB vs Khabib grappling match. That seems interesting. As for Green vs Makachev, this isn't the best decision Makachev and his team could have made. Yeah, on paper Makachev get's a fairly easy win, but, what if he doesn't? It's still MMA and anything can happen so what if he doesn't? Then he falls so deep back into the division it will make the Kola Superdeep Borehole look like a mole hole.
There is no way Khabib is going to fight in his promotion nor he will come back to fight. Khabib is the only fighter i have seen till now who makes a decision and then stick to that decision. I a sure Dana White offered him millions to take another fight but he was not interested and was even open to GSP fight in the UFC but Khabib did not change his mind and i doubt he will ever fight in MMA.

~
Who is GSB? Did you mean to type GSP? Yes this will certainly help Eagle FC in marketing and promotion of the organization and also help them increase their fans. However, if Khabib wants to grow his business much more quickly he should offer Conor to be a shareholder in his company as payment to be a fighter for Eagle FC hehehe. This is will be a master level business move by Khabib if Conor agrees.
Khabib is having some rich friends and if he is in trouble or needs money, he will be able to raise money from his Arab friends. I doubt Khabib will ever offer any partnership to Conor McGregor.

Whyte was attacked by Fury in the internet saying that he is an absolute idiot after he signed the contract because Whyte was kind of out on the line for asking more than what he is entitled (20%) but we can't blame him for trying to ask more than what he is offered because who knows, right? Maybe Fury's camp would be kind enough to give another 5%. Aside from that, having a 20% is a big deal and it is the biggest payout Whyte have got in his career.
The reason is Eddie Hearn the promoter was able to attract only one bidder for the fight while the promoter of Tyson Fury, Frank Warren got a bid for $41 million and Tyson Fury will be getting the majority of the purse, If Eddie Hearn was able to attract a much bigger bid then he would be getting a much bigger purse and still this is the biggest paycheck Whyte will be earning.

Not being favorable to ICC but I think introducing or popularising any sport around the world is difficult in the 21st Century. See after all every sport is all about money and viewership. If ICC has to introduce cricket in any country it has to ensure the people there watch cricket which is a real difficult task. You see cricket is a different sport and not that easy to understand, one would love to watch it only if one understands it which is possible if you have played the sport yourself or people around you play it.
That is a fact, it is difficult to introduce a new sport in a busy world like today and people do not have the patience to learn a new sport. I started following the sport to place a bet and then this forum is the only space where i talk about Cricket as none of friends knows about the game. If the sport is included in the Olympics then we have a chance to see some interest from the government to introduce the game so that they can win a medal, other than that, ICC can only spend money and they will not get the desired results like some speculate.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: February 20, 2022, 11:51:23 PM
I could never see Derrick Lewis losing from Tai Tuivasa after watching first few rounds of co-main event, but it happened with those Tai elbows and maybe Lewis was to reckless in some moments.
Not the best main event with Adesanya winning against Whittaker but you can't have every fight a spectacle with KO win.
I never saw that coming from Tai Tuivasa to be frank even though he is in a winning streak but Derrick Lewis is big step up in competition, i knew the fight will not go the distance and luckily i placed a bet on that rather than going for the moneyline. Derrick Lewis showcased his wrestling skills and i am not sure whether he was injured coming into the fight but one clean shot and he was down in the mat while Tai Tuivasa took some solid punches from Derrick Lewis and was able to come back from that.

Did anyone catch the 1st round knockout in the main event for Jamahal Hill.
He made Johnny Walker look like a straight board on his feet just before falling over for the win.
Didn't see that happening so fast from Walker's last few fights I thought he had more fight in him to withstand Hill's blows to atleast the 3rd round.
Johnny Walker needs to change his camps and find his old magic where he was fighting 5 times in 2018 and now he needs to take a break as he is loosing against top opponents. I remember him challenging Jon Jones and he would have eaten him alive and now he needs to regroup and find his motivation rather than getting hammered in the fight.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto asset prices weaken on: February 20, 2022, 11:35:08 PM
the market is indeed down quite a lot at the moment after a high rise in 2021 and a lot of coins reaching new ATH I think this decline is a natural thing maybe at this time a lot of people are experiencing losses because at the end of 2021 news about crypto is trending and a lot of new people want to get a profit in crypto but if you haven't sold your asset you haven't said a loss, my advice is stay patient and hold on to your asset because I'm sure there will be another increase.
The market will rally again but it will take a longer time and depending on the project, if they are not able to produce the results then those projects will eventually die and majority of the coins touched their all time high valuation and anyone who jumped into the market after seeing those rallies will be experiencing a huge loss as majority of the coins went down drastically. If you trust the project hold onto them till the next rally, if not move on to the next one.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About USDT on: February 20, 2022, 10:59:35 PM
You need to do some research on USDT, in this world once you managed to stain your name it will forever be a stamp, Tether team have onced faced the law due to their conning act in the past that's why some don't believe in this stable coin, secondly it's a centralised stable coin, for some that's enough not to trust.
They strained the name without being transparent and yet even now they are not able to clear everything and be transparent. The law will catch up with them if they are not able to provide the audit report since they are minting dollars whenever they feel like and yet they are not able to provide the transparency in collateral they use. Earlier they used to claim that it is pegged to 1:1 in USD but later it is proved that it is not the case.

Surely cricket is completely different from soccer, and we have not market like soccer but still I will blame ICC for this all because they completely fail even now they have very good chance with short formats that they can spread this and have very good results but sadly due to internal issues they are not working about this even now we are losing teams from these 10 teams as well.
How can we blame ICC because they are not getting popular among nations that are not even taking the sport seriously. If you need to attract the best talents, you need to have the incentives to play the game, if not good athletes will find a sport that will give the financial freedom. With T20 leagues getting popular we might see talents from countries that are not popular with the game and for the game to get more attention it should be included in the Olympics, if so we can see a major change.

But, there's a crisis between Russia and Ukraine that most people are predicting that there would be a pump if the war continue. As far as I'm concerned, war is not the answer to all of the problem that's why it needs to be done by debating or discussion.

And $50k is just a picture right now although, it did pump last year though the price seem to be so quick to dump.
The media is hyping about the war but i doubt we will see a full blown war as Russia knows the damage that they could encounter as the US is looking for an opportunity to begin a war and thereby carry out their business interest with Ukraine. If a real war breaks out then the other financial market will go down and you should expect the cryptocurrency market will go down as well as majority will book their profit.
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a safe haven for criminals on: February 20, 2022, 10:00:22 PM

This reminds me that criminals prefer fiat money to digital money, when Pablo Escobar's time handled a lot of money and the way they counted millions of dollars was by weighing them, just like weighing 1Kg of beef , well, the dollars and that was the way for them to count quickly because it was a lot of money that counting it normally was something almost endless, it took a long time, and like that in physical form, well it was palpable, sure, maybe that's why the great crimes have been done with fiat money than digital money.
I have heard about stories of Pablo Escobar and how he used to deal with his money and how he used to burn dollars to get warmth and there are many stories along these lines, even now all the illegal deals are done with fiat currency, either in digital or otherwise but you cannot track them. Even criminals use any form of currency but the problem is all the transactions in Bitcoin can be tracked and hence doing any illegal activity is like having a money trail.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 20, 2022, 09:28:33 PM
I would blame the loss more on Pollard, Holder & Chase. This is the lower order that West Indies trusts and expects them to take away the game. But no one really gave strength to Pooran in the death overs. The game-changing moment was obviously the wicket of Pooran for India. He was playing with a slow strike rate so had to improve it but really fell in the very first time when he tried to do it. Even though India knew in their mind that these series are going to be a clean sweep for them but it would be so easy no one really thought of it.
I expected a much better performance from West Indies in T20 but they disappointed with their pathetic performance, India was not having their best bowlers and they were experimenting the team with young players and yet West Indies could not make any impact in the series.

Next is the Sri Lanka tour and I am sure even that also is not being seen as a great challenge by BCCI, they have rested some big players for the series.
India have the team strength to defeat any team and they have the luxury to rotate the team members every series and yet they are performing well.
340  Economy / Speculation / Re: ukraine battlefield bear market on: February 20, 2022, 08:21:36 PM
People are afraid that an armed conflict will create sanctions and stop foreign trade. That can result in companies losing money, Ukrainians migrating West, business centers relocating, and more.
Losses in foreign trade, broken foreign relations, possibly real damages to infrastructure, all this will result in losses for companies and businessmen who have money invested in Eastern Europe.
For this reason you see the stock market falling and many investors have also money in crypto so they sell these currencies to cover their losses on other markets.
You got a point, investors who are invested in other markets might cover their losses booking their profit in Bitcoin, i am not sure about the war, there are conflicting stories in the air, the US media is talking about war being imminent and in Europe things are not in the same page as even the German MP came out with the tactics played by the US in escalating the situation. Either way we are facing a huge crisis economically.
