What the point to do merged mining? It's profanity of the idea.
Come again?

I'm gonna blow my nerd cred on this but, isn't ASCII encoding in binary generally at 8 bits per character?
Generally, yes, but there are other encodings, inluding 7-bit encoding.

Not sure I would want to sell my used guns in such a manner ...
Invalid premise.  Buy guns, don't sell them. Tongue

Yeah it was all academic.  I have never been able to part with a firearm once I bought it.
I suspected that might be the case.

330  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earn an UNLIMITED number of free bitcoins. on: December 22, 2011, 02:30:53 PM
FreeBitcoins.org The only site where you can earn an UNLIMITED number of free bitcoins.

This is, of course, impossible.  The number of bitcoins is very limited.
Good call.

at Freebitcoins bitcoin is unlimited.  Cool
By definition they are not free, since you have to do some work to earn them.  By definition they *cannot* be unlimited, since the very supply of bitcoins is limited.

No. No. That symbolizes nothing. Sorry, try again.
Maybe I was up to late last night...

Very nice etotheipi.  BTW, I'm assuming this is the project you wanted the logo design for a while back in that other thread?
336  Economy / Services / Re: [Open contest] Bitcoin flag design on: December 22, 2011, 07:31:29 AM
Here's a design I came up with:

I actually put some thought into the bars in the circle....  they can be seen as a "B", a "T", and a "C".  They also represent a person with outstretched arms.  They also represent North and South America on the globe (circle).

Thank you for the offer btc_artist. However, perhaps I was hoping for an "up front offer" that could be paid at the end of the week.  something simple.

Having said that, I will not discount your offer just yet.
Actually, now that I think about it, you probably don't need my offer anyway.  You can just use your namecoin deposit address at one of the exchanges, and the namecoins you mine will automatically go to your exchange account.  Just make sure your deposit address is permanent.  420.

Namecoin address: N772FAiP1pwmr7NJhh2SG18DesuFUDjhnB

Send the Namecoins there. I will sell them for BTC approx. once a week and will split the BTC with you 50/50.
