321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $ETHD- Ethereum Dark on: September 25, 2017, 08:19:34 PM
Next big coin, really good promising project.

What makes it the next big coin lol ? I can see just a coin using ethereum's name and nothing else.
No roadmap, no use, trying hard to pump it but failing as far as I can see.

It's just another coin from which the devs are trying hard to make it somehow alive but they can't.
How can they not ? Well basically right now is the uptrend for all altcoins as you can see on https://coinmarketcap.com/.

But ETHD remains on the losing side ((-4.66%)) which basically means NO ONE IS INTERESTED AT ALL AND MAKING MORE AND MORE THREADS ABOUT WON'T MAKE US LOVE IT. Cheesy

We've got plenty of useless coins in the market already and yet here's another one.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining now is it too late? on: September 25, 2017, 07:39:31 PM
Well I can't start right off the bat say that if had started five months it would have been much better. Profits from mining are getting lower and lower. Mining profits is controlled by the difficulty of the network. More diff.= less profits. And as more and more people start mining the diff. goes up.

In the past few months, mining got so much hype and everyone bought gpu cards and started their own mining rigs which pretty much explains why all cards are either sold out or are for insane prices.

I started two months ago and I can say that it's not bad considering that my electricity is not expensive. I pay about $0.045/kwh.

Electricity in my country is $0.1/kWh.
That's a lot. If I were you I'd actually not get into before doing the maths and calculating how many months needed to ROI (keeping in mind that your calculations can be useless if diff. goes up for example.)

It's really your and only your decision. Think about it and since you're trading as well compare it with the profits of trading and do the better.

Good Luck.
323  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull trap? Or price going back to 4k for real? on: September 25, 2017, 07:30:40 PM
I think we've reach a stale situation where everyone buys where it's below $4k. Which basically means that the price will go up.
But at the same time once it crosses $4100 you'll see the price dropping again as everyone who invested in $3500 range will cash out.

I can't really tell now if China has any effect on bitcoin price as what happened there made the price drop but it recovered alone without them.

They're still selling bitcoins and are selling it for less than $3400 when the price at the moment on preev is $3916.

Hopefully $4000 becomes the new base price. But still as always no once can say what's gonna happen tomorrow.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO in Japan on: September 22, 2017, 04:54:21 AM
Japan's approach to bitcoin is clearly quite different. They've already almost legalized crypto so they won't just ban ICOs suddenly as what happened in China.

I'm sure they won't let them run openly as they want as well. Since Japanese like to innovate and are always interested in finding the best solutions, I guess they'd apply certain regulations on any ICO that's going to run and if an ICO doesn't follow it'd be shut down.

Do you expect Japan's ICO?
(For example ALIS or comsa)
Do you participate? Huh

Yeah of course why not ? Man we've invested in tons of ICOs, this won't be bad at all (considering that it will be under some laws.)
325  Other / Meta / Re: Rank with less activity than needed ? on: September 22, 2017, 04:46:51 AM
Anyway I read that it can drop if posts are trashed or deleted ? Just trying to understand how things work. Cheesy
Activity can drop, yes. If a post that is necessary for potential activity within a given period is deleted (either voluntarily or not) then the user's activity declines respectively. If you consider the following: I have 28 activity, comprised of 1 post in my first activity period and 27 in my second... If the single individual post is deleted then my potential activity is reduced by 14, making the total 14 as well.

Well thanks for the useful info then. We've learnt a new thing today Cheesy
I'm locking this thread up as I got what I needed.
326  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Best Sites to Earn Bitcoins 2017 on: September 22, 2017, 04:44:27 AM
Forget about these websites. They are not worth your time. Try doing something else that pays better.
Maybe if you can design , offer to do designs and get paid in bitcoins.

Just do anything other spending hours and hours just to get a dollar. If you compare, it's way lower than the min wage of mcdonalds lol. In general stay away from ptc sites, referral sites and similar ones. Two years ago I wasted so much time on them. I regretted it later of course. I could have learned a sport or went to the gym lol.

I heard that there's a website for freelancers that pays in btc. That would be nice as well.
327  Other / Meta / Re: Rank with less activity than needed ? on: September 22, 2017, 04:37:02 AM
Hero Member, Newbies and Legendary members do not lose their rank if activity dips below the threshold. This has been talked about before and if you decide to investigate, a simple search in Meta will allow you to find the threads of notability.
I've been on this forum for about two years and have never heard of an activity dip. And this reply made me believe so as well.

Ah, so activity cannot decrease. Good to know.

Anyway I read that it can drop if posts are trashed or deleted ? Just trying to understand how things work. Cheesy
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this the next big slide? on: September 22, 2017, 04:32:08 AM
You cannot be sure about anything. The past few months have witnessed some WILD price changes up and down. You can't really even guess what's gonna happen next.
But at least we stay optimistic that the price will go up again. If it doesn't then I'll just wait and hodl till the time comes again.

It's not really that difficult to leave the coins in the wallet for some time, is it ? I've been around since 2015 at dump times when 1 btc was for about $270.

Yup you guessed it the price is another story today. Sadly those days I had zero experience and sold whatever I had in BTC when it started going up a little bit. Conclusion is you'll get to the price you want, maybe not today, not tomorrow but you will.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to btc after the last coin has been mine on: September 22, 2017, 04:24:12 AM
Well at that time there won't be any other rewards except for the transaction fees.
It's expected that all 21 millions coins would have been mined by 2030. That's not far. At that point will mining stay profitable ? Nobody knows.

Maybe the whole world will join bitcoins at that point that the number of transactions is so high and makes continuing to mine worth it. But it might also not be so fair.

If you take into consideration, full nodes that run now aren't rewarded in any possible way. Although they're seriously important to the bitcoin network. Before we start thinking about 2030 I guess some rewarding system should be implemented for those 6000 nodes that keep our bitcoin alive.
330  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is there no newbie campaign? on: September 22, 2017, 04:11:56 AM
Well why would companies and new projects want newbies to market them ?
They usually look for users who have been awhile around the forums and know quite enough info so that they can take part in discussions usefully.

Newbies should take the time to read and learn more about crypto before thinking about joining a signature campaign. Plus creating a new account is so easy. So everyone would have a lot of spammy new acounts to use to get money. That's useless and doesn't fulfills what campaigns want.

A lot of money is paid in advertising so they should get some high quality posts that make sense and not just some people scrambling up some lines here and there to make the pennies.
331  Other / Meta / Rank with less activity than needed ? on: September 22, 2017, 04:05:20 AM
Hi.

Quick question.
I came across a member called  aTriz who has an activity of 476 which is exactly like me.
But he happens to have the rank of a hero member while I'm senior.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=135920
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=480991

According to my info, hero is at 480. I'll be hero in a few days but this is just something that caught my attention Huh

332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you picky with ICOs? on: September 21, 2017, 08:28:42 PM
It's not just we are being picky. It's just using simple logic. To put your money into something you have to make sure it's worth it.

I guess you won't be really too happy to wake up in the morning to find out that you lost the money you invested. Before stepping near any ICO do what every ico participant is supposed to do. Read about the project, read the white paper, check the team members.

After doing all that just think about it as a whole. Does it serve a new thing ? A new idea that is surely gonna be used (needed) ? If you come to a "YES" then go ahead.
Of course you don't want to hand over your money/savings/whatever to some people who hide their identity and ask for money.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [Ok Cash] Is it the end ? on: September 21, 2017, 07:27:46 PM
Well if you just take a look at the whole chart (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/okcash/) you'll clearly see that this is expected.
The coin got pumped at the beginning of the month and continued to rise for some time. It reached the highest ever on 19 September.

Well if you deal with new coins a lot you'd probably know that they are just there for pumps and dumps. Once the coin gets pumped and keeps increasing that's the time you need to keep an eye open.
Because soon enough the price will go down which would indicate that it's the end of the pump and you should sell immediately.

Good Luck with another coin. Cheesy
334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: North Korea and the bitcoin earning on: September 21, 2017, 12:48:33 PM
Well sources please ? And by that I want registered legal worldwide sources. Saying that there are "reports" doesn't mean that anything of this is true or false. People every now and then come up with anything and spread it around the internet.

Anyway, if this came out to be true I wouldn't be impressed. Since it's the only economical thing free of regulations, he surely should give it some importance.

How it affects crypto to average people ? Well I don't think it would be worse to people who already believe that it's used only in illegal stuff (since a year or 2 back that's what all you could about btc in the media). Telling them NK uses it won't matter to this type of people.

But others who're interested in it but haven't joined yet might actually fall back.

giving the fact that other governments could use this to enforce regulation on the matter?

Well governments aren't waiting for any specific thing to ban or enforce any kind of regulations on crypto. If they want to ban it they'll come up with the perfect reasons to the public. Just saying that it is a danger to "national security" is enough for them. Who knows maybe govs are investing in btc too.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Pirate Bay's website steals your CPU Power to mine Monero on: September 21, 2017, 12:39:01 PM
Cheesy True.   Would rather see them do that than show adds or popups.
Well no ! At least tell the visitors what they're doing and let them have the option to like toogle it on and off.
Exploiting and using people's cpus isn't acceptable under any measures.

Can someone explain how this goes ? How is a website able to use someone's cpu that easy ? How can they use the browser to get more cpu usage ? It just doesn't get through my mind.

AND if they were able to do it, I'm sure hundreds if not thousands of websites will be able too in the coming days. There must be a solution to this. I'd really love to get a technical reply to how they did it.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Help with supenova pool on: September 21, 2017, 12:13:59 AM
Did you check all the folders in your email such as spam folder and everything else ? Maybe the email is there.

EDIT: I found their twitter and a lot of people contacted them about it. They gave them this link and said it would unlock the account.

https://unlock.suprnova.cc/

If that doesn't work try tweeting to them.

Here's the profile of ocminer, the owner of the suprnova.cc pools:

337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A missile to help Bitcoin get back. on: September 20, 2017, 11:56:04 PM
Wait what ? Is what I just read right now real ? Like this was processed and typed in by a "human being" ?
I can't imagine how your post makes it seem you're too happy that this is happening. You know such stuff can cause wars and innocent people die in wars ?

Don't be that greedy ! Wishing for a war which might turn into a world war with nuclear weapons INCLUDED just for the sake of the price of bitcoins to go up for you to make a few cents. Do you even know if you'd be still alive at such conditions ?

I guess if this misile helps then I guess we will need to thank the leader in the North. I am postive, this shall help Bitcoins rise to power a lot.

Edit : I am not wishing for a war, all i said if this news could help stop the slide, war no, never. Hope it clarifies.

Well these two sentences can't go together hand in hand mate. And no we would never thank that guy for making other people scared. The fact that they can get bombed is ridiculous and isn't a matter of laugh.
338  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Steam $20 Gift Card Code on: September 20, 2017, 11:48:51 PM
I'm selling a Steam $20 Gift Card Code for $20 in Bitcoin. You can get it here: https://giftcodevalve.000webhostapp.com/ (I'm sorry the website is really slow(At least for me), I'm using a crappy free hosting service)
After you buy it, I'll send the code to you via email.

Not gonna happen. This is simply and plainly trying to scam people. Why would anyone buy these steam gift cards from you Huh
Steam already accepts bitcoins so what's the use ?

Plus no one is gonna use your "crappy" website. If you are legit and you want to sell. Get an escrow from this list and you can seriously sell. Other than that you're kidding and thinking that you're a genius and can trick anyone to this.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin on: September 20, 2017, 12:36:41 AM
I don't like Dogecoin much, cause the price is so low from other coins. But i got to see price of Dogecoin high in the months before, but Dogecoin is still low than other coins especially of coins such as Dash, Litecoin, Ethereum.

Are you guys serious right now? LOL.
Dogecoin was started as a joke. It was just a meme coin. If you take a simple small look at coinmarketcap you'll clearly see that it has 111 billion coins already Cheesy

What do you expect ? Do you think that such coin with unlimited supply would ever get to high prices ?
I don't even know why this coin gets pumped every few months. It should be literally dead by now but it's not.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does Floyd Mayweather Matter? on: September 20, 2017, 12:30:24 AM
Well that centra project hasn't even caught my attention yet to see what it's all about.
But just seeing that the invested money is being used in the wrong way makes me stay more away from it and even think about it.

Can you guys imagine how much money (in millions of course) were paid to write that tweet of mayweather's account ?
That's just ridiculous. As if this whole crypto community on bitcointalk isn't enough for the devs and they want even more money out of it.
Do anybody else other than me feel that this is gonna end so badly ?
