I see what is happening now, this is playing itself out over on Reddit. What the insiders want is someone who will not rock the boat and just go along with the flow. The Bitcoin Foundation now wants to have "chapters" instead of forming independent groups that collaborate. They have created a new meaningless buzz word (don't all politicians do that) called "Organized Decentralization." http://elizabethtploshay.com/organized-decentralization/Folks, people like Theymos are taking you for a ride. It is like the donations to this forum which total over $600K. Theymos has been given advice time and time again about how to secure this web site against attacks and hacks. He never takes the advice and refuses to take even basic steps to run this site properly. He also gives elevated status to people running obviously illegal services. He is apparently holding on the $600K in case he needs some kind of legal defense. i have to agree with this as well. theymos lets his global moderators run wild deleting posts of anyone challenging their moderating decisions. this has been a great disappointment to me, censorship. right now, i am the victim of a moderator who is unilaterally deleting my posts and enforcing a once per day posting on my subscription thread based solely on a complaint/recommendation of a competitor, no discussion from me allowed. i was banned from posting on the forum for 2 days just b/c of bumping my thread more than once last week after not having bumped at all for several days from travelling. imo, this is just retribution from a moderator who i've had personal disagreements with in the past. power corrupts even at this level of a forum. this post will probably get deleted and i might end up "disappearing" once again. Don't I know this idea from somewhere? Hmm coinchat rings a bell. I doubt TF had patent over 'pay mbtc to chat' idea  Actually, the first people to invent that were CoinAd (AFAIK) with their 25% chance in their chat room. I then cloned that and made an IRC bot to do that, but nobody liked it :S Months later, here comes TF with CoinChat, which starts out fun but then I get banned  And then I create WhiskChat, which turns out to be miles better than CoinChat, but no users use it. |

Not true Whiskers, not true. Coinpr0n was setup because CoinVisitor was down, this because of the finicial problems Kev was having. Coinpr0n did not take BitVisitor down. It didn't even exists then + the members liked Kev. Meh, that's just from what I heard, not gonna debate that further. |

I hope that you can go on with this project...
But I have a question, would not be better to make an irc bot (a network of bots) that do the same things of coinchat/WhiskChat? (cheking messages length, spamming ads an so on..)
Every irc channel admin will want one!
Nice that you ask that - I once actually made a bot to give out free mBTC, but the IRC channel #bitcoin rejected it, saying it would encourage spam. :\ |

Not much, maintain the bots, added fishingbot if you havent heard of. Giving out masstip from time to time.... Thats all i guess, I have academic to take care of.

An error has occurred: Moderators are not superhuman. Thanks for the suggestions! 1/ I know... It was planned but I started to lack time before I had the chance to do it. 2/ That's great. That makes me think that would be cool to make "auto load next page", like with google image. For threads or whatever. I'll look at both when I have some time. 3/ Ok, why not. If nobody's against I'll change that in the next update.

(also, it's VERY tempting to hit that -1 button on your perfect score  ) Did I mention that the first one to put me a -1 will be banned? So it's a dictatorship is it! (create alt account, neg him on the alt ) EDIT: 50% looks horrible - it doesn't even have a % sign! Make it at least bold, maybe green I made that because I wanted to make the null score discrete (as MANY people have null a score) But yeah, when the 0 comes from multiple votes and not because of no votes at all I should make it prettier (not sure whether I'm clear...) Not green though, blue I think Yuck! Blue looks horrible! Also, it's confusing to have a black 0 and then a red +0%. |
