321  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [130'000 GH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees, Stratum, MergedMining, Private Servers on: August 21, 2013, 04:54:48 PM
Sadness, I hate the low block rounds Sad
322  Other / Off-topic / Quasi secure mail. on: August 21, 2013, 04:44:28 PM
Obviously best is PGP between parties.

Are there any known providers that aren't on prism list? I don't need any crazy space size, just simple email with text and maybe an image every blue moon. Recommendations? I'd even pay BTC for such a private mail service.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Pools up - Quick confirmations on: August 21, 2013, 04:34:05 PM
Do you guys think the exchange price will rise after the halving, or eventually thereafter? I kind of like this coin for many reasons.

What's that exchange that trades it, again though?
While the supply may be halved, there will still be a shit load of coins. I think if interest in the coin continues the price will go up just due to the perception of scarcity. But who knows, I'm just some guy on the internet. Wink

That's how I feel already. The other day I could mine 3 mil a day. Now I can mine probably 1.5 mil max, when diff isn't in the 3s. Combined with block halving = cheap Zeta disappearing.
324  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Vinyl Sticker: Starve the Banks - Bitcoin 10 for $3.90 in BTC on: August 21, 2013, 03:44:46 PM
Why not as a bumper sticker?

If I can get a small group of purchasers together (50 total) I can get it done!  Bumper stickers would be around $1.49 each

If I bought all 50, how much would it cost me? A discount?

Also, PM me at your leisure.
325  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB} USB Block Eruptors (Or trade old GPU) on: August 21, 2013, 03:35:16 PM
How many do you want?

As little as one, but no more than 10 or 20. Unless the deal was really good. Honestly the better the deal the more I want, but it does have limitations. Just want to replace old GPU farm (5850s). I'd trade.

But I don't want to pay 50 USD per eruptor.. just not happening.
326  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB} USB Block Eruptors on: August 21, 2013, 03:21:44 PM
I would join the group buy, but I want to pay fiat.

If you'd be willing to take my PayPal and then fund the groupbuy in my name in BTc that'd be fine too. Or just sell me some eruptors for PayPal would be preferred. Or cash in mail, or bank deposit, whatever. Escrow if necessary but my reputation is sterling.

Perhaps final bump - sitting at 60 BTC of interest. PM me!

Need reboost card. Trade for BTC or LTC. PM or post here, PM is often better.
330  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 79-82 GHash Avalon batch 2 on: August 21, 2013, 03:25:45 AM
Still available, interest topping 50 BTC so far.
331  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-E.COM DOWN??? on: August 20, 2013, 08:04:19 PM
LTC, Y U NO SHOOT TO MOON?

But...but....GOX! They said I'd be a zillionaire!

Honestly, I have to wonder about btc-e's liquidity...0.5ltc for LTC withdrawal is a huge fucking deterrent to storing your money wisely off-exchange. It ensures that a bunch of small players are always locked in to patch over any errors or overextensions on their part.

That said, gox can choke on a big herpe-covered dick. Meanwhile, I will utilize whatever other service works even if it requires gambling on some slightly shady operations where my funds may go poof.

Has been lowered to .1 LTC.
332  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 79-82 GHash Avalon batch 2 - SOLD on: August 20, 2013, 03:37:19 AM
Taking offers over PM, thanks! Runs extended periods of time with no problems, fantastic shape.

EDIT:

SOLD.
333  Other / Off-topic / Re: Question about LG phone/ Boost mobile/ etc. on: August 20, 2013, 03:07:27 AM
But could you point me to some rooting resources since I can't seem to derive the model number of this phone...

You don't need to "root" the phone, you need to "unlock" it from the carrier. Sorry, I don't have any more information than that. Check for model numbers behind the battery.

The phone was lost months and months ago and replaced. It was a hand me down and I'm wondering, does that cause an issue since it was "lost" (not stolen".
334  Other / Off-topic / Re: Question about LG phone/ Boost mobile/ etc. on: August 20, 2013, 12:45:20 AM
First determine if it is CDMA or GSM.

The internet is telling me CDMA.

Then check if it is unlocked or, if not, if it is possible for you to unlock it.

Then find another CDMA, assuming the internet is correct, carrier and enjoy.

I did notice on startup (it was dead during previous posting), that it shows a Boost logo. But could you point me to some rooting resources since I can't seem to derive the model number of this phone...
335  Other / Off-topic / Question about LG phone/ Boost mobile/ etc. 1 LTC Reward on: August 20, 2013, 12:01:56 AM
Have an old LG phone that was used with Boost. There are no Boost logos on these phones like the old ones. This is a relatively recent phone, decent LG with a screen a bit bigger than the old Droid X.

My question - can I activate this with other prepaid carriers, like Virgin mobile? Or because it was initially bought for Boost (or as a phone compatible with boost?) it can only be Boost?

Thanks, appreciated.

337  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: do you think bitcoins will die out? on: August 19, 2013, 09:36:40 AM
that's interesting ive been wondering that for a while now, you seem like you know quite a bit about bitcoins so I have another question, when a block is fully mined [releasing 25 coins] does that mean that the other people have to start on a totally different block, that is if three pools are working on a block and pool #1 solves block does that set pool 2 and 3 back?

"Chance" based on hashrate. Pool 1 finds block first, then that is the block. It's a done deal. Next block "approximately" 10 minutes away. Existing pools with existing hashrate have the same chance to find block 2 as they did block 1, but pool 1 found block 1. No one was "set back", they're still hashing away and on average will break a certain amount of blocks per x time.

"This exchanger is listed at Liberty Reserve main page as recommended exchanger and is one of the biggest and well known companies in this business"

http://web.archive.org/web/20130530014800/https://wm-center.com/

WTF was wm-center?
Never heard of it before, and it was connected to Liberty Reserve, so really no news here.

So WM traded with LR and that means its not news? That's how prosecutions work. They take down one then reach to all of the associated entities one by one. It was an independent company shut down by DHS. Just because you would prefer it not be true doesn't make it any less of a fact.

Thinking he meant that it isn't "shocking", due to relation to LR. Unless I'm mistaken.

But I'm surprised by the lack of concern some show in this thread. It is about power over money, or monetary systems. Any of you thinking it has anything to do with you being safe from Pablo's bro is a joke. The real money launderers are in the papers every day and boasting about it, but somehow the world keeps turning as if black were white.
340  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: LibertyBit Suspends Operations on: August 19, 2013, 07:34:22 AM
It's really unfortunate that a bunch of criminals caused this exchange's operations to be halted. Now Canadians have to deal with the excessive fees of cavirtex.

I thought you were talking about Government criminals.

Sounds like DDOS or hacks?
