321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Usefulness of stablecoin on: May 10, 2020, 10:44:45 PM
it is still useful to save stable coins as it can help us when we need it on the best buying time.
It is good to have a stable coin that can be trusted but that is not the situation we have, almost all of the coins are shady at best and even recently millions of USDT are minted and you can only assume that they are holding the equivalent in banks. There are local exchanges that supports your currency and i am comfortable holding that than these shady coins.

323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 04, 2020, 09:59:46 PM
I have another idea. Why can't we have a test world cup, once every 10 years? We can have 12 teams, participating in an all-knockout tournament.
If we wait for the next ten years to revive test cricket with a world cup it will be done and dusted as they are trying to do something like world test championship and day night test to attract the crowd and viewership back in the format.

But 3 week world cup for a 5 day match Shocked. Even with a knockout match from the start how can you end the tournament in a month  Cheesy.
324  Local / India / Re: Blockchain for the Pandemic on: May 04, 2020, 08:22:43 PM
P.S : The above solution can also be used for distribution of masks and sanitizers and to keep a track record of people who have received them. The record of people can again be hashed and sent to the Blockchain.
The restrictions that are implemented and tracking of every patient and collecting data during this pandemic can be justified but what is the guarantee that it will not be forced upon later and if that happens it will be a blow to our privacy. The pandemic has given the opportunity for every government to track every movement and if there is a immutable record just think about the consequence regarding your privacy.

Immutable records are necessary to store official and government transaction and data and it must not be used that will affect our privacy.
325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 03, 2020, 11:04:31 PM
I checked Abu Dhabi T-10 cricket league's rules and it seems pretty neat, less than 2 hours and match wrapped for good.

- 10 overs for each team, each inning 45 mins.
- Power play for First 4 overs, only 2 players can stay outside 30 yard circle during power play. 1 bowler can bawl only 2 overs
- In case of interruption or rain, minimum 5 overs are required from each team to get the results.
If you are including cricket in Olympics, it is best to introduce T20 than any other format, i am not a fan of the T10 format as you are not able to see the skills of the batsman, just slogging will be the key selection criteria which will not help the game in the long run, Test match is a dying breed because majority of the players like the shorter format and if you introduce cricket to the Olympics then it should be T20.

But there can be exceptions. Look at the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). The total population of West Indies is only slightly higher than that in NZ, but they have managed a highly competitive and profitable franchise T20 league (thanks to the large fanbase in India and the US).
Historically people in the Caribbean loves cricket and the love of cricket made them a formidable side in world cricket during the 70s till the mid 90s and they had some world class players and it is because of the love of the game and they always had the stadiums packed and the success of the CPL can be attributed to several countries which is called Caribbean and they have the competitive spirit to take on a side as a fan and cricket is the only sport that combines all these countries together while they participate in other sports like Olympics and Football as individual countries, people in New Zealand loves Rugby and we have not seen huge crowds in cricket stadiums and hence it can be attributed to that.

I understand this all because right now I personally living some worst life but its not issue for these elite class politicians or bureaucratise because they never know how to handle this all they just ordered and create problems for lower class and working class but sadly we have to wait for some more time
Everyone is going through their worst dreams they never expected to go through, i am not struggling with food because i knew this would get worse after seeing the situation in Italy and Spain and i took care of my family but that is not the situation with lower middle class and people who get wages on a daily basis, some are staying in highly populated areas in the slums and if someone gets tested positive they are forced inside or they will fear for their life and start walking home. To get out of this situation we need to wait for a long time until there is a vaccine or enough testing kits.

The condition in maharastra gone worse and people are not reacting to take it serious.
Maharashtra is struggling to contain the virus, it is not because people are not taking it seriously but people live in densely populated places especially in the slums and practically there is no way you could keep social distancing.

Because now situation is very serious I am reading many peoples are living without food and they have no resources for this all just few hours ago have one sad news one family with small kids all done suicide as they have no food for few days officials completely fail to do any good solution for these daily wagers peoples.
These are really sad news, the suicide rates during this period will be alarmingly high, people dying to hunger is the worst thing to happen.
328  Local / India / Re: Alternatives to lockdown in India? on: May 02, 2020, 06:20:42 PM
Rahul Gandhi said PM not prepared for Lockdown and made these bad things.
Do you really need Rahul Gandhi's words to understand the lock down was implemented without prior notification. On March 24 by 8 PM he announced a complete lock down which will be implemented all over India in 4 hours and you will not be able to travel and the millions who traveled for different purposes are left stranded. Do you really claim it as a well planned decision  Roll Eyes.

Here is the catastrophic well planned decision for the middle and lower class people Undecided.

Nearly 600,000 workers migrated on foot during lockdown

Desperate migrant workers trapped in lockdown

I have seen news about people walking thousands of kilometers to reach home, which is insane and have heard the death of a kid during a migration like this.

There is no alternative to lock down but when you implement these in a populated country like India where people travel to different states to earn their living, you need to inform the entire country before implementing a complete lock down, why do you think these people were walking hundreds of kilometers by foot, simple reason, they were not having proper shelter nor job nor the food to survive and they were forced to migrate to their village.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 01, 2020, 09:05:13 PM
Remember that this is a country, which can't even start it's own franchise T20 league. They have a population of just around 4 million, and they don't have superstars such as Steve Smith, Virat Kohli, Joe Root and Quinton de Kock. It is amazing that they could achieve this much with a limited player pool, and even more limited budget.
You have the answer why they never started their own T20 franchise league, it is because of the low population they have compared to the other countries who started their own league and these leagues get their money if they have a huge fan following and they clearly know that they will not meet the expense if they launch one, population does not mean anything in sports, India with a billion population cannot pick a world class football team and we all know how many Olympic medals India wins when compare to how many Jamaica wins with a population less than 3 million.
330  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Corona Virus Update - India! on: May 01, 2020, 08:08:27 PM
This is good and timely decision by as now time is running out and peoples losing passion hunger is also creating some serious troubles for lower class peoples hopefully this relaxation give some positive to daily wager peoples and they will able to have some good stuff for supporting their families
It will be a great relaxation for the working class, when Modi announced the complete lock down without any prior notification about it, he never thought about anything else, have you read people walking thousands of kilometers to reach home because there is no work or money and who knows how many died taking these long journey, this relaxation will not restart the jobs for the working class nor they will allow to travel long distance.
331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Online Gambling Charity Fundraiser for Covid-19 Donation on: April 30, 2020, 10:47:00 PM
We would like to say Thank you from these online crypto gambling platforms.
FreeBitco.in and Crypto.Games for helping our COVID-19 victim and front liners.
It is always a great gesture and i have seen Stake giving away money for charity in the past and considering this as a global pandemic there will be always a conflict of interest on which country you will be sending the funds if the company management consist of different nationalities.

Gamble as usual and if you win, the site can still donate funds to covid because there are other players who lose.
Great catchphrase  Cheesy.
332  Local / India / Re: Lets have some fun! on: April 30, 2020, 10:02:57 PM
Almost 2 weeks and no one here for any fun just because of this today I am bumping this thread as I have two sad news from bollywood two really good actors gone from this world very quickly even both was diagnost Cancer for some long time but still feeling sad for them and their families.
It was sad to loose two prominent actors in the space of two days and i really liked Irrfan Khan because of his acting skills but we have the corona virus and that is a major concern as more people are dying and even people with other illness might not get the proper treatment they usually get and we have no idea when the situation will be normal again.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 29, 2020, 09:43:13 PM
Ludo, Chess.etc are not real sports. They don't involve any physical activity. You can call them as "games", but not as "sports". And that is the reason why they are not included in competitions such as the Olympics and Asian Games. There is a crazy demand to include Esports in the Olympics, but I hope that the International Olympic Committee will reject this demand.
Hope you are aware that chess is accepted as a sporting event by the Olympic committee and there were plans to include chess during the 2020 Olympics but it was not accepted but i wont be surprised if it is accepted by the Olympic committee in the future and even E sports might get a nod in the future.
334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think sport betting and gambling casinos are the first business to get up on: April 29, 2020, 08:35:09 PM
This Pandemic will last for 6 to 8 months more and it will definitely take a toll on the gambling casino business.
Do you think it's one of the businesses that will get up or recover their losses immediately after this pandemic is over
or it will take some time because people will have to take care of business first or go back to work first.
The gambling casinos and the hotel industry will suffer the most than other markets as no one will risk to go out even after the situation is under control and it will take some time to see everything going to normal, then the job losses during this time will have a rippling affect in the industry and with countries printing more money we can expect inflation and that will have a toll on the economy.

336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How corona virus affect on the Crypto world? on: April 28, 2020, 07:57:05 PM
The COVID-19 epidemic has absolutely no effect on cryptocurrencies. Initially, I thought that due to the worsening disease situation, the BTC price would dump sharply. But now the indicators show that BTC will pump very strongly in the near future.
You cannot come to a conclusion now, the halving is yet to happen and with the economic uncertainty you cannot predict what the future holds and whether we will see a huge pump is not clear as bitcoin market is yet to face a recession and the mystery of bitcoin as a store of value will be tested much sooner than we expected

I think one of the main reasons is that the  BTC halving event that mining time for 1 BTC will take a lot time than before.
Roll Eyes Can you explain what you meant here.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin be the ideal currency of the future? on: April 27, 2020, 04:09:39 PM
Indeed bitcoin is not perfect, there are still some deficiency of bitcoin. But it is still ideal as a substitute for fiat in the future. The problem
is that the government will never approve bitcoin as payment or replace fiat. Because the government cannot control bitcoin, then if bitcoin
cannot be controlled it certainly cannot get taxes from bitcoin. Conclusion bitcoin cannot be a global currency in the future, the most likely
bitcoin would be an alternative currency.
The scaling is the biggest issue to void it as a global currency as you cannot expect a million transaction to take place every hour and until we have a solution for that you cannot expect everyone to jump into the ship just because it is a new technology, the investors we have right now can be of two category.
  • one they like a decentralized currency
  • second who loves the volatility as a means of speculative market

Bitcoin is already an alternative to fiat and in the future we will see a global adoption hoping that we will have rapid development in the next ten years.
338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This guy gambles and wins a total amount of £400,000 and quits while ahead. on: April 26, 2020, 03:06:59 PM
If he has that gambling mindset, definitely, he can still fall for that thought that he can extend his luck and go chase for another windfall. I myself won big in a land based casino and in less than 24 hours I'm back again and hoping that I will get lucky. Not the best thing to do!!
Lightening only strikes once, if you get lucky and win big then the best solution is to get out when you can, there is nothing wrong in gambling with a limited budget but once you go in with the mentality to win big again and again then once you start loosing your adrenaline will carve you to chase down the loss and once that happen you end up loosing everything you won, if that guy can stay away then he is well and good if not he will end up loosing.
339  Economy / Economics / Re: Net worths if Bitcoin reaches $100,000 on: April 25, 2020, 05:28:23 PM
It is an educated guess that Satoshi holds 1 million coins, and many people think he actually holds far fewer than that. Still, if his coins never move, does it really matter how much he holds?
Apart from the educated guess of known wallets Satoshi might have carried on mining for several years and have accumulated a lot of coins which are not known to the general public and my guess is that he is not moving the known wallets because he mined enough coins for him to enjoy his retirement.

I dont think that this numbers could be possible in current world situation
If the price of bitcoin rises to those levels then why not. It is a realistic possibility it might rise to those levels in the next ten years considering that the price rose to $20k just as a speculative market and if there is a considerable development in bitcoin then we will see the rice touching those levels easily.
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you committed, or considered committing, illegal act to finance gambling? on: April 25, 2020, 03:40:30 PM
He's just a public victim here. Although, many wouldn't like to share their experience with us on this, because of their reputation, but will appreciate the sincere response from forum members in this regard.
He is not a victim, he gambled and lost that is his decision as no one compelled and the second act is thinking about recovering the funds by stealing, only a jackass will do these activities or he must be delusional to get away with illegal activities or crime, he knew the consequences and he made all his decisions and hence i would not call him a victim.

Have you ever carried out an illegal act just to finance your gambling? Remember this: many have stolen from their parents or from friends to finance their gambling, were you caught or not?  Share your experience with the us and equally advise when necessary.
If you are seriously thinking about stealing to fulfill your greed then it is time to get help or you will end up in jail and you do not need to understand astrophysics to understand this, just common sense in more than enough Tongue.
