3301  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: negative trust on: March 10, 2020, 03:41:01 PM
I came across some threads where I found this text on the top.

Quote
Warning: One or more bitcointalk.org users have reported that they believe that the creator of this topic displays some red flags which make them high-risk. (Check their trust page to see the detailed trust ratings.) While the bitcointalk.org administration does not verify such claims, you should proceed with extreme caution.

These warning banners will disappear when you have 7 days of login time. You should familiarize yourself with the trust system before then.

my query has two parts

1. If someone gives you a negative trust, can you fight back like proving yourself correct and removing the negative trust from your profile.
2. what advantage you get if you give someone a negative trust?

If you give some a negative feedback be sure it is reasonable or you will be reported as abusing it and worse scenario is if you are giving a bad feedback to a DT1 you will harm yourself more than you harm the one that you give feedback, don't fight back feedback if he cannot prove the allegation and if he is not part of the DT group.

1 - Can these users who are part of these countries continue publishing?
1. Yes

Yes they can but I don't think they will a motivation to post anymore, seeing that they cannot earn anymore, while their co poster are earning 1000 sats per post, and you saw that you have a better posts than these posters who are getting 1000 sats per posts, they are better off, or they can make a request to be included again.
3303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PSA : Remember to always back up your Private key / Seed! on: March 10, 2020, 12:01:13 PM
I know it's cliche, but I wanted to post this for newer people. If you don't control the keys to your wallet, then they aren't really your coin (i.e on exchanges). When you make a new wallet that you intend to keep funds in, please make sure to always backup your wallet seed. It's very important because if something happens (such as a hard drive failure), you will be able to recover your wallet and funds.

This is so basic and if you missed this you lose everything, every coin that comes along any wallet or trading sites that you are going to sign up with, all they will tell you is to back up your seed and your private, if you don't have your back up key or seed, you don't own your wallet, as simple as that.
3304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 20000 pieces of Bitcoin wreck the market sounds annoying on: March 10, 2020, 08:32:16 AM
It sounds very bad to hear that 12000 pieces of Bitcoin can wreak havoc of Bitcoin value, I wonder what will happen if a whale decide to sell 100k of Bitcoin someday, Bitcoin max supply is 21million right? If 12000 can bring this damage then Bitcoin is just like every other coins

I don't know what damage that will be done, but whales will buy it, if whales dump then it's whales and those who wants to be whales will buy all these dumps, Bitcoin is a long term profitability a short term dump will have no long term effect, so just buy while they dump and make a profit in the future.
3305  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: As we all Know... Yobit is a Scam!!! £38287 stolen from yobit on: March 10, 2020, 03:22:21 AM
Not only do they steal your BTC straight from your account and then refuse to even reply to support tickets..

They also offer incentives like there 700 Yoda to get people to there exchange then lock away there airdrop.. only to then steal the BTC and LTC you had on there exchange.

dominikherzog the Admin that shares support tickets in there chat box to try and embarrass there customers.

Be very aware of this exchange as it is a scam..

over 1000 coins listed and yet only around 12 wallets work, every other wallet is in maintenance.

Only people that seem to use yobit now is scammers with there shit coin..

be very careful using this exchange.

i have £38287 missing..

It's better to create a more sustainable accusation like screenshot of your deposit and conversation of your ticket, that way your accusations will look valid and people can make it a good reference, anyone can drop an accusations but it needs a more solid back up to sustain it.
3306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a Days there is no charm to work in Bounties? on: March 10, 2020, 01:35:52 AM
Is now a Days there is no charm to work in Bounties?
Because many Bounties do not Pay rewards to Bounty Hunters. Bounty Hunters work hard but did not get any Reward. What will be the Solution of This Problem.

There are two solutions that I can think of, ask that the stake be escrow or do not participate at all if you are afraid that you will not get your stakes when the distribution time comes, this has been the big issue now, bounty hunters not getting their share when they deserve it, why punish the people that market your product.
3307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of good marketing on: March 10, 2020, 01:11:20 AM
Alot of projects in this crypto space lacks good marketing. Gone are the days where people use top personality to market their project for people to invest.

It turned up that these personalities will not help the cost of the project, because investors do not look on who are promoting but what the project can bring to the table, because investors are tired of personality based project, they want a good platform that the community will use and deserves.
3308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not blame it on Corona outbreak on: March 10, 2020, 12:53:24 AM
Alot of blogs and articles are referencing the facts that the present dip in prices is related to corona virus outbreak. But I do not believe so
I believe It's not just the virus, all these things were going to happen,
the virus just lit the match and acted as a catalyst
There are articles coming out and it's true that the PLUSTOKEN scammers are the one dumping Bitcoin on exchanges, they are using mixer so the authorities cannot trace them, but there is a concern that Corona Virus it will have an impact, positively or negatively in the market, let's see after the Plus Token issue is over.
3309  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk Future on: March 09, 2020, 05:57:27 PM
I do not know any place in world where anyone can live for as low as 70$ per month ?

Minimum wage in Nigeria is somewhere around that level.

And as you say there would've been people hammering multiple accounts. I can imagine whole rooms full of them. Text spinning is a wonderful way for the family to bond together.

As far as I know, multi accounts are not allowed on Cryptotalk ..  Roll Eyes
Anyway, everyone can use VPN, bypass ban on countries or set up more accounts. I think that if blocking countries will reduce spam, this will only be a temporary effect. Now, even the Opera browser has a free VPN service. And you don't have to be Einstein to come up with such an idea.
Desais one of the administrator admitted that he also uses VPN when login to his account on Cryptotalk, and they are not banning people from using VPN what they will not accept is when they tried to login in multi access IP AND device, so those bans are worthless as they can use VPN, they should add more moderators, instead of banning.
3310  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't auto Save your login details on: March 09, 2020, 02:18:39 PM
Check if the public computer has a defreeze option most of the public computer now has defreeze install on every computer to prevebt malicious files from being dowloaded in their computer, if there is then your login info will be cleared or erased when you log off in the computer.
3311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coronavirus ain't helping on: March 09, 2020, 03:51:39 AM
We all have a new hope for crypto this year and no one saw coronavirus outbreak coming, if this isn't contained anytime soon all dreams might be nothing but dreams this year, Coronavirus ain't helping at all

Two weeks after you posted this and it really becomes apparent Bitcoin is going down huge almost touching the $7 k level and it's a little bit scary, we have our hopes high as halving is nearing I'm sure many of us here are glued on the news and on the market, I hope the buy support will be stronger again and lift the price again.
3312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to get lucky ;) on: March 09, 2020, 03:26:51 AM
This article shows four ways to get lucky:

1. Maximize Your Chances to Be Lucky

2. Listen to Your Instincts

3. Expect to Be Lucky

4. Look on the Bright Side

Can these steps make you lucky?!!To win the lottery you must get lucky first of all.
Do you have a way to make you lucky most of the time?

All of this is good but luck is something that just happens, you can have all of these but you will still not guaranty to be lucky in gambling, until now there is no one formula in gambling and people develop skills and methods than to wait for the luck to happen but at least good for the mind to have these three.
3313  Other / Meta / Re: Is satoshi that satoshi? on: March 08, 2020, 11:56:20 PM
You can check it here
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitcointalk

All points to Satoshi Nakamoto as the creator of this forum, it is decentralized and unmoderated to some extend and it will remain that way because the one that created this loves decentralization.
3314  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful of shitcoins on trading platforms. on: March 08, 2020, 10:15:55 PM

My 0.001 btc became less than 0.00001 immediately i converted it. This pained me so much.

Shit coins are shit coins and we should be careful when dealing with them. They are very risky and can turn your huge money to nothing in minutes to days.
If allowed to tell you about this coin, I can be specific and the you the coin name.

In the first place why these shitcoins when there are coins with good potential in the market why not choose those in the top 50 what have you seen in these shitcoins, they are ignored by traders for lack of market and liquidity, it's a lesson learn not to experiment on these shitcoins.
3315  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a Serious and Experienced (If Possible) Bounty Campaign Manager on: March 08, 2020, 09:52:03 PM
Nice to see that after 2 years of commenting on ANN thread now you're trying to create a project.

Anyway, see the Services section. If you can pay with Bitcoin there are dozens of managers available for you. Make sure to have at least $200/week budget for them.

Thank you joni!

Does this mean also did you miss me? somehow? Smiley)

The service section offers you a lot of section do check them all out anyway once you launched your announcement thread bounty managers will be in a hurry to pm you to send you their offer, provided that you have a good and legit project, no bounty manager will promote projects that looks dubious.
3316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥 [ANN] COINTOBANKS: Minings, Holding & Investment Platform ✅✅ on: March 08, 2020, 05:12:46 PM
The coin is forked and uses DASH technology.
Inheriting all the features of DASH, during the implementation of the project, we continue to develop LTP's technology into separate crypto, technology, and documents that will update as soon as possible

In the first place if you are going to update the document you should not publish your whitepaper unless you come up with a new one, people here are very particular on whitepaper they always check to see something new, owning something that you own is not good for the project reputation.
3317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum going back to under 200$? on: March 08, 2020, 04:53:23 PM
Everything is possible in crypto. I think Ethereum going back to under $200. Ethereum increase very slowly and decrease very fastly. It's just my opinion.

It's also my opinion but I'm still very bullish on the performance of Ethereum, right now the market is red, I don't know after I woke up tomorrow, what will be the scenario but I still think things are going great and there's nothing to worry about we are moving on the halving it's matter of time, that could be the end of this red mark.
3318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters and Investors, Who values Cryptocurrencies More? on: March 08, 2020, 03:24:43 PM
Most projects that were dumped on the market were investors that dumped early on hunters who has no choice than to market aggressively to re-ignite a gradually falling project.  Most projects that experinced this sudden dump by investors includes. Serve, Foxtrading, Agrocoin and many more.

The crypto project owners should trust more on their bounty hunters than the investors when it comes to listing on exchanges and trading not in investors because the investors care much about their funds and not the development of these projects.

This is the truth that developers should accept, investors just want to make profit and there is always dumps that is going to happen when investors wants to dump the coin after they realized profit or they see that they cannot make break even, it's the job of the developer to proceed with the platform and the project, other investors will see this and buy back the coin.
3319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We apologize for the plagiarized white paper on: March 08, 2020, 03:02:00 PM
This is to inform member of this esteemed forum that we did not know about the plagiarized white paper but it was due to the freelancer that handle the job, please accept our sincere apology.

I don not know the project you are talking about if you want to say sorry it should be to your investors and supporters, you let them down by showing them plagiarized whitepaper which is a big no no if you are going to launch a crowdfunding, you should double or even triple check there are many tools to check if it is plagiarized.
3320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solution for bounty payments on: March 08, 2020, 09:44:29 AM
Good idea but it will be very hard to implement, every developers want to have ethereum and Bitcoin  and tradeable coins in the market, actually they do not want their coin they want to dispose it and keep these tradeable coins in their pocket, so if the project becomes obsolete they have coins with value.
