3381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: October 27, 2015, 10:16:47 AM
I'm holding a portion of Bitcoin as a long term investment. However, I spend a huge portion of it. I believe that the thing that can help Bitcoin grow is the transaction volume. With a higher transaction volume, merchants would be interested in trying to accept it.

Benefits of dumping coins lol.

Yes Im agree with you. Much better if those merchants will directly accepts bitcoin so the volume is really noticeable than converting btc's to fiat then spend. If that will happen many merchants will try to know deeply about what bitcoin is and if it really a big help if they accept it.

Dumping coins? Shouldn't bitcoin would benefit fto the other way around? You must've been referring to the regulations of bitcoin by users. The more bitcoin regulates around everyone elses wallet, the more it'll be noticed and then some future interested investors might wanna buy their own coins.

3383  Other / Off-topic / Cheap VOIP that can call in UK? on: October 27, 2015, 08:19:43 AM
Hey everyone! Does anyone in here any cheap voip plan that can call on UK?

I need to call someone in there. Also it's a premium number. Does anyone know? Thanks!
3384  Other / Meta / Re: Reporting accuracy on: October 27, 2015, 07:55:12 AM
You can't.

... and you will never get to 100% again. The best you can now achieve is 99%. The values are rounded down, thus the 1 single bad report (lets assume it stays that way) will always keep you from reaching 100% again.

I guess you will have to accept that you are not perfect. Wink

Oh wow.. I haven't thought about that.. I was hoping to reach 100% also.. Now I have no chance. Sad
3385  Economy / Reputation / Re: Selling accounts? on: October 27, 2015, 07:52:11 AM
I recently purchased an account but it has an untrusted negative rep...

It is for the previous owner selling another account. I see alot of people selling accounts, but they aren't -repped.

Was this guy just trolling?

What do you mean from previous owner? Which one has the untrusted feedback?
Well people give red tag for accounts for sale or bought so it's best not to let anyone know that you bought that account.
It's untrusted anyway. It'll not affect the account.
3386  Other / Meta / Re: Reporting accuracy on: October 27, 2015, 07:49:18 AM
There's no detailed stats but I think you can eventually get your accuracy to 100% again. I was down to 95% a while ago and now I'm at 98%. Grin
3387  Economy / Auctions / Re: Sale of SatoshiQuiz.com on: October 27, 2015, 06:38:36 AM
We think the concept is quite interesting.
We would like to bit with 5BTC.

Just clarify.
What kind of ad-sense program are you using to make a revenue?
(I saw some is Adroll)
Also, in which country are you registering its account?

 Thank you very much.

Just to be clear, I think a newbie account needs to provide a proof that s/he has a coin for the bid s/he post in an auction. It's to prevent unnecessary price increase. The bid was 1BTC and you jump up to 5 btc. It's ODD.
3388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Choose the most used type of wallet on: October 27, 2015, 05:45:53 AM
I know tons of people outside this forum that only use web wallets. It's more convinient for daily transaction. Not everyone also has a PC to have a software wallet.
3389  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaigns - the truth on: October 27, 2015, 05:23:23 AM
It depends on the members in here but yes it works. It's like a commercial in a television where appearance of the product/service affects the way people will correspond to it.
3390  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC halving effect started @ October 2015 on: October 27, 2015, 05:21:00 AM
I don't think halving is the main reason why the price is rising up to now. Although it may have an effect, well there are other factors. Also it's still a long way until the halving is done. I know a lot of people is preparing for it so the demand is higher at this moment. I guess that's the main reason. People are expecting that the price will gradually rise after it happened but then no one really knows. It's all speculations
3391  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does your heart sink when the price rises? on: October 27, 2015, 05:15:27 AM
Well at some point I regret selking my coins immediately whenever I see the price is continuously rising  It's not selfish bro. Just buy the bitcoins you want to have or earn it then just hold, as everyone else would say. Then wait for the price to rise more.
3392  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain wallet Main password? on: October 26, 2015, 11:51:46 PM
The blockchain wallet app on my phone says it can't verify the pin I use because the server is down and asks me for the Main password. I don't remember a Main password. Did I have one for sure? Can I ask for a new one or something?

It must be the password that you use when you login in a web client. Also I don't think you will be able to use blockchain for now due to the maintenance. If you have the private keys of your address then gou can use another client for it.

regards!

EDIT: Seems that blockchain id already fixed. Cheesy
3393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Bitcoins not showing up in wallet on: October 26, 2015, 11:49:06 PM
Can you post the txn here? I had the same problem before when I was waiting my coins to get confirmed. It won't show on my wallet. Have you checked the confirmation yet?  It took me 24hours or more to get my coins and I did some push on the miners to be able for them to notice my txn.
3394  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info Services Down on: October 26, 2015, 11:31:28 PM
Hopefully it stays down. A brand that takes over an aspect of bitcoin is a problem, especially when that brand is using outdated and vulnerable technology.

Well I think that is why they are undermaintenance by now, they are upgrading their technology.

BTW guys, anybody knows until when is this maintenace will take?
3395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie needs training.. on: October 26, 2015, 04:13:08 PM
Mining is when you are obtaining bitcoin from solving blocks using a bitcoin mining machine, gou pay for the machines, the electricity and all, you get profit from it, so eventually it's an investment to make. While in faucets, you obtain bitcoin from the bitcoins of the other users. You will only spend your time in here and ofcourse internet and electricity. This is unfortunately unprofitable because you will only get small amounts of coins from this.
3396  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MMM Global Republic of BTC - Sergei Mavrodi ponzi scheme! Stay away on: October 26, 2015, 04:08:25 PM
At this internet age, it's amazing how people won't do even basic due diligence on the people behind the venture they are investing in Huh

That's why they go for poor neighborhoods with lots of desperate uneducated people, same tactic used by Herbalife etc.
This is like stealing from children, a special place in hell is reserved for these monsters.

I'm somehow hurt by the bolded part cuz thats really what happening right now and you're referring on our country Philippines (  not only on PH but also in some part of Asia specifically on south east Asia.) Well that's the sad truth however I'm also getting annoyed with these idiots on our country still praising MMM , they even adore sergey mavrodi whenever it releases a new video for them speaking shit and sweet lies.
You sound like you are observing them silently from a distance through their FB page but yes they treat Mavrodi like a god and defend this scheme like they it's not going to collapse. You can even see them post their new cars, motorcycle and gadgets purchased from the earnings they get from MMM. I know it's bad to be happy when you see someone who suffers from an unfortunate event in life, but I want to see this MMM scheme collapse as soon as possible and I want to post on their FB page and say "see what I told you"

You are right. It's not a bad thing to wish for such ponzi scheme to collapse earlier to prevent other more users to be involved in it. Plus, it will eventually colapse so the sooner the better it will be for everyone else, those the members of it and those the people that they are trying to bait to joim their scheme.
3397  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] Are we going to the moon again? on: October 26, 2015, 03:24:28 PM
I'm rooting for $300 and if ever it surpasses that then I think it will not be that high. I myself think of selling at that price so I think the others are thinking of that.
