341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 04, 2024, 09:59:31 PM
It is 1-0, against Barca in Estadio de Gran Canaria. Las Palmas had an early goal in the first 12th minutes of the game to take the lead and since then Barca have being finding it difficult to equalize the goal. Barca defense is porous and Xavi needs to do something about this. Palmas is a weak club and they are not as strong as Barca, so I believe that Barca will have a welcome back in the second half. Barca needs to win this match because they are on the 5th position with 10points behind Real Madrid and Girona. This is a very bad season for Barca as they are struggling with their matches, unlike like them. Munir El Haddad was the player that was able to find the back of the net within 12 minutes.
If my memory serves me right, Munir El Haddad was once a Barcelona player? He was dubbed as one of the next brilliant footballers with comparisons to Lionel Messi until life happened  Grin

Anyway, Barcelona's defense is really terrible lately, and their attack isn't also helping that much in scoring enough goals to win games. Ferran Torres has equalized for Barcelona a few minutes back. Let's see if they will take all the 3 points home
342  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Philippine traders need help! We want an exchange with p2p feature like Binance. on: January 04, 2024, 09:54:33 PM
Mandatory KYC was introduced on Binance a long time ago, so they know very easily which users are from the Philippines. A VPN will certainly not help here, you only risk the possible freezing of funds. If it is illegal for them to offer services in that region, they certainly will not go against the law.
Not if they are still allowing Philippines users on their platform

Once, they block Philippines traders. Their accounts will go on withdrawal mode only, just like what they did with users they identified from the US.

Bypassing the ban using VPNs makes them easily able to close your account and then you cannot complain to anyone, you will be the weaker party.
Most of the time, I access Binance while forgetting to turn off my VPN. The only blocks I get are just restricted trading for some few minutes or hours, with a notification telling me to turn off the VPN for better trading experience.
343  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Crypto Debit Cards on: January 04, 2024, 09:38:59 PM
It smells all scam. So, after some observation from members. Instead of responding to the thread, they just deleted parts of the website that were contradictory like this page (https://adsplus.partners/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/20231119_Terms_of_Service_MBM_2.pdf) and also deleted OP and pretended like nothing happened. They are probably aiming for victims outside this forum

Quoting the archived version of OP for future reference

344  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Philippine traders need help! We want an exchange with p2p feature like Binance. on: January 03, 2024, 03:19:38 PM
There was not message coming from Binance regarding their position on this. About using VPN to bypass the block, it has also been discuss in our local community here but it was discourage as it might result to compromise of account, you know, from Philippine IP then suddenly you change to other countries IP.
Of course VPN usage is discouraged in some scenarios but imagine your Government decides to block Binance as a site. In order to access it, you would still have to use a good VPN service.

But are they using VPN to bypass the block? If they are using and nothing bad happened to their account, then I see this as a good signal to try and consider it as one of the best solution.
As far as I know. I saw some Nigerian users complaining that the Government went as far a blocking bank accounts of users who were engaged in crypto trading or if the source of funds was from crypto

Wow. I didn't know there are lots of services that have p2p features asa well. Although I'm familiar with some but I haven't been using them for a while since all my transactions now are on Binance. Thanks for this, I'll gonna check it.
Start checking them out and using them early enough to avoid difficulties in case using Binance becomes difficult.
345  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Philippine traders need help! We want an exchange with p2p feature like Binance. on: January 03, 2024, 02:00:24 PM
What is Binance's positions regarding this? Have they issued a notice to Philippines users that they will stop them from using the platform? If not, then there is no need to worry. The trading will continue only that you will need to bypass the block by using VPNs.

As far as I recall, Nigeria Government banned crypto and tried so hard to make sure its citizens don't engage in crypto trading but instead Binance encouraged them to carry out p2p trading  Grin

There are also alternatives like localcoinswap, Agoradesk, HodlHodl. Centralized exchange like Bybit, Huobi, Okx, Kucoin offer a service similar to that of Binance. Just check them out.

It seems to be an autoban for being PossiblyCompromised.
I thought that would wipe the signature by default.
Maybe the kind of ban is similar to what Harizen got?
The account got compromised and started spreading malware, the user was banned, but his signature stayed on as currently seen on his profile.
348  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 31, 2023, 10:03:51 PM
It's still 2023 in my country, who has already witnessed 2024 in their country. I believe you shouldn't be seeing any mixer post from your end now. Grin
Forum time, my friend. The forum hasn't witnessed a new year yet  Cheesy
349  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov sold his account on: December 31, 2023, 09:51:40 PM
A bit OT but, has it ever been really discussed why the forum itself does not show banned users and why?
I know I have brought it up in the past, that knowing why would probably not be a bad thing, but was there ever any internal discussions as why not to show it?

-Dave
Probably the same reason the forum won't display negative feedback in certain discussion boards and to Guest users

Maybe they want users to have an unbiased feel when reading through useful content that was previously posted by an account that has since been banned. When reading some content, as soon as one sees that the poster was banned, there's away one's perception does not remain the same. Similar thing happens when one see the negative feedback.
350  Economy / Gambling / Re: Finding a Bug on: December 31, 2023, 09:26:21 PM
In my opinion it's a substantial bug but again I'm not qualified or educated enough on it. But if I can exploit it then others would have fun. Very reputable casino with a large reach. I've contacted support and waiting. No bounty page on their site but for sure reputable so I hope they would compensate given the bug.
I do hope they hear you out or at least pay you handsomely for the bug. Some brands are so mean when it comes to paying out bug bounties yet if the person inside decided to exploit the bug, they could cause some reasonable loses to the service.

I saw a scenario where a service refused to listen to someone who had discovered a bug, claiming they had no bug bounty. Some months later, a bad act discovered the bug and exploited it. The service suffered huge losses as a result.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 31, 2023, 08:56:48 PM
Arsenal getting exposed right, left, and center. With the low scoring forwards they have, I don't think they will be able to compete for the title vs. City. Forget about the defense, they are clearly lacking a-25-goals-a-season center forward

Liverpool also have a disadvantage with Salah going to the AFCON. If City don't come out by the end of January at the top of the table, I will be very surprised.
352  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov sold his account on: December 30, 2023, 09:59:23 PM
Probably at his own request:
This account will be blocked soon.
Perfect way to make a fresh start, I guess  Grin

Ratimov's reputation already being soiled, a start over is the only likely option. He will just create a new profile, hunt for merits like he did before. The good thing is that he already has some good experience. A few thousands of merits shouldn't be hard in some months, and just try to stay out of radar.

With the kind of ego he had. I don't think he is gone for now.
353  Economy / Exchanges / Re: OKX to delist privacy coins on: December 30, 2023, 09:25:34 PM
@JeromeTash. If they will remain defiant, they will have their domains seized.
Why are they taking too long to seize Localmonero, Bisq, exch.cx then? Because they don't even give a damn about KYC/AML, and they also seem to have been operating for too long undisturbed  Grin

In fact, if monero is an "outlawed" cryptocurrency due to it privacy feature, why are they not first going after monero itself? For example, sanctioning it and seizing their domain (https://www.getmonero.org/)?
354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ViaBTC offers no more free TX acceleration? on: December 30, 2023, 09:15:44 PM
Did you read hosseinimr93's explanation above? It's not a visual bug; they have a limitation as explained by hosseinimr93. They don't want to fill the whole block with a very low fee while they can get far better fee from the block mined.
I know what I am talking about because the very next hour even before viaBTC mined any block, the 19 free transactions that were even no existent disappeared  Roll Eyes
I kept following and refreshing the page every few minutes at that time when this happened

Of course, I read every explanation before adding in mine.
355  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ViaBTC offers no more free TX acceleration? on: December 29, 2023, 10:04:35 PM
Or maybe viaBTC is pushing for their paid and premium services right now?
No They are not

Just look for any block mined by ViaBTC and count the number of transactions below the recommended fee rate if you have some time. You will notice they are slightly over 100
Here is their latest mined block, slightly over an hour ago - https://mempool.space/block/00000000000000000002beabfdd166d33179b9c526d876488e0e6199632b54bd
356  Economy / Exchanges / Re: OKX to delist privacy coins on: December 29, 2023, 09:53:03 PM
Not surprised. A missed opportunity to short them though.

But the funny thing is that those coins still trade on most exchanges that are under fire like Binance, so It would be interesting to see how the other exchanges follow suit. IMO, not all exchanges will do the same. Some will remain defiant.
357  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bit.store card on: December 29, 2023, 09:41:14 PM
It's the same bit.store junk from China Cheesy
Don't expect to have any serious support from them if anything goes wrong with your deposits, and it will go wrong at some point.
They literally have one person with fake name and fake profile image as ''support team''.
Just wondering how they managed to forge a partnership with alchemay pay and Binance  Grin

What a waste. They would get enough customers if they cared about support.
Speaking of services from Binance marketplace. This user also got another crypto card service from there, and the service wasn't that great. It took a while to resolve.
358  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ViaBTC offers no more free TX acceleration? on: December 29, 2023, 09:21:41 PM
I haven't been able to use their free service since the day where the transaction fee increase a lot.
Someone is probably abusing their free service by using a bot, since their captcha challenge is so easy.

Well, there are other free tx accelerator I used but I am not sure if it really works or not.
I hope you are not referring to transaction rebroadcasting services masquerading as transactions accelerators. They are so many of them. The only working free transaction accelerator that I know at the moment is probably ViaBTC.

360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 28, 2023, 09:58:24 PM
This is exactly what West Ham are doing, with possession of the ball for the entire 25% they lead 2-0, I doubt that Arsenal will be able to win back to a draw, but so far 75 minutes and with such pressure they can probably do it, the main thing is to score one goal, and there on the psychological pressure will be able to score a second one

Such teams that remain compact in the back after scoring early are usually hard to penetrate. Arsenal will have to do something extraordinary, maybe pull off a foul in the oppositions box because the forwards don't seem to find enough spaces right now

The way I see it, they are going to drop points tonight and Liverpool will remain at the top for now.
