341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.8 (Windows/Linux) on: August 17, 2017, 07:19:00 AM

I've checked Win10 + RX480, it seems it works, I see voltage changes in WattMan if I restart it. ADL does not report any errors.

Just to be clear:

Claymore 9.8, running on Win10 + AMD Blockchain drivers can overclock and underclock all parameters for the RX480?

my 480 refs and various 470 are doing fine.

Why You're setting voltages through config-file beside Your claim that You have already set them in BIOS? You know that You are making confusion, is it with intention?

You can do both.
EG: configure some base line in BIOS and do fine tuning later via config file.
The result only matters, is not it?  Whatever works for you...

I'm talking about confusion between readers of the post. Obviously voltage setting through Claymore miner is not working with beta mining drivers, Ursul0 is posting screenshot claiming that it works for him. Truth is that he had voltages set in GPU BIOS...

No, this predates far further back then that. Neither SP, nor Wolf0, nor Claymore, nor you suggested it first. It came about from a brainstorming session in this thread. Couple of us were BSing around with the idea of extra overhead available in Nvidia hardware due to its inefficiencies with memory hard algos.

That is about as far back as I care to dig. I definitely made posts on this in Genoil's thread on the Ethereum forums before that above snippet and it was discussed even further back in this thread predating Ethereum (specifically pertaining to NeoS and Monero). You can dig away.

At the time of mentioned conversation, Claymore dual miner already existed.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: August 16, 2017, 12:58:49 PM
Yes, because he made something new and special, not only tricks and someone elses work usage Smiley
I think if you could you would already release 2.5%Devfee miner faster then Claymores. Wink

Dual mining is nothing new. If you know some history, I made a DualMiner before Claymore based on Genoils work. I also suggestested the dual approach right after the launch of ethereum. Back when the coin was trading below $1.

Claymore have the money and resources to hire a team of experienced developers. His work on the NVIDIA dual miner is not optimal. More can be done.

I don't remember Your DualMiner. But I remember that I revealed possibility of dual mining ETH and SIA:

It did ROI in a day for me.  I don't think people with smaller setup should go for it.   Buying the mods is just bumping ROI a day later.  Math is really simple.  If your setup made $200 on the first 24 hours.  It took 16 hours to pay to payoff the mod.

Your simple math is wrong. You did ROI of donation in 48h. You would be making 130$/day without donation. Take note: Timing is everything, so You're earnings are much more depending on WHEN You mine and WHEN You sell than on with what You mine.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.5 (Windows/Linux) on: July 27, 2017, 06:55:27 PM
Hey guys,
I have a problem which I'm troubleshooting for days, and still not solved.
I got R9 280X MSI 3GB, 12GB of RAM, i3 4160, ASUS H81M-E, PSU ThermalTake 400W

On this setup my last gpu 7870 2GB worked perfectly on NiceHash mining ZCash on Claymore's miner, when I set up 280X, there are problems income..
First problem was GPU #0 returned incorrect data! on Windows 10 WITHOUT OC, everything stock. I also tryed many drivers, 15.12, then lastest, everything the same..
Now I got another HDD and installed Windows 7 64bit(Basic theme, not aero), got NiceHash setted up, Claymore's ZCash miner, 15.12 driver for win7, and still the same. Then with lastest driver, same situation. Here I saw another problem, monitor goes off for 1 second and it says "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered".
Can anyone help me, what to do ? I tryed to underclock core and memory, It worked for about 6 hours without error and then it came again, I can't let it run for 24/7 without assistance. Also lower clocks get me about -20.000 sols than stock.
Can anyone at least give me recommendation for batch file for my GPU in this case ?

You're too optimistic in regard of PSU. Check what wattage it is capable of for 12V line and if there are more 12V lines You should balance power for R9280X. It is power hungry card in comparison to undervolted 7870.

Yeah, I'm in. Do You mind using sp_ for escrow?
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: July 25, 2017, 09:53:17 AM
Hi Just a few questions on the AntMiner L3+.

I have recently got my two L3+ miners and have set them up. How many days would you recommend leaving them on before giving them a break? & How do you solo mine with them?

Thanks!

I have apartment by the lake, so You can send them on (at least) two weeks vacation there. I think You should do that during high season (now), so can rest and prepare for high difficulty mining.  Roll Eyes
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASrock H110 Pro BTC+ 13 GPU Board on: July 23, 2017, 08:03:41 AM

If You mine BURST with external drives than You would have use of this USB 3.0 board. Definitely not for GPUs.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: July 22, 2017, 06:32:30 AM
I just checked and it would take a difficulty of 4,500,000 for 1 antminer L3+ to make 0$ profits Smiley

Sure, if You got it as a birthday present.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the world's most profitable ASIC miner? on: July 20, 2017, 09:02:26 AM
Most profitable and one can touch with finger is Bitmain L3+. Other are promising, but still not in the field.

353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 560 4gb bios' available on: July 19, 2017, 08:11:06 AM
Warning:
OP author has multiple accounts and found as a scammer as soon as he tried to sell Nvidia BIOS/Hacks.
His AMD BIOSs obviously are with GPU HW errors, so You will not get claimed hashrates at the pool.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 560 4GB Ethereum on: July 07, 2017, 01:51:52 PM
Hi all!

I a newbie on this mining topics.
I bought 6pcs of Sapphire RX 560 4GB. With my friends we built up the rig.
We used Asus H270F motherboard we used 2pc of psu.

The windows find the 6 cards but after I start claymore one GPU hashing only 2.095 mh/s the others reach 12 or above. We tested the risers the cards the cables, we switching the parts everything! But the problem is always the same.

Have you got any idea what's wrong?

Can you tell me how can dual mining? If I use this in dual, the ETH hashrate will go down? How %?

Thank you!

Search for 4MH/s problem (560 is half mining speed of mainstream 4x0/5x0 cards therefore Your's 2MH/s). Connecting HDMI screen to low hash card should solve the problem. Connecting through TeamViewer and disable/enable graphics cards in Device Manager also is doing the job.

Is it possible to have all the rigs in the same lan, wining toward one same wallet so that i can have my "solo pool" and make sure i get some blocks?
Yes.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: July 06, 2017, 08:38:11 AM
It was 2.3MH/s combined with one 7790 and one 7870. I was mining from 1-st of April till end of June and made 300SPR. Stopped as soon as difficulty rise 3 times. Sold SPRs at current price.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: July 06, 2017, 07:43:29 AM

I tried sp-mod #10 fix 3, and get 5.5MHASH @ 1400 on the gigabyte g1 gaming gtx 970. so around 40% increase on the old cards as well..

It's very easy to wave with percentages when there is no pool to check those numbers. SPR was profitable couple days before SP's "campaign" for private SPR miner. I was happy mining SPR one - two months before using 7790 and 7870. Difficulty raised for 2-3 times so solo mining for small miners is high risk to earn close to nothing. Or even worse to lose this 0.05BTC for 40% higher numbers showing in miner...
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First Asic for SIA - Obelisk SC1 on: July 06, 2017, 07:02:21 AM
But the interesting thing is that if they sell 2000 units, instead of their original 10,000, then (I BELIEVE) these Obelisks would be 5 times more profitable than originally projected... at least before a second batch comes online. If I'm way off on this, please feel free to set me straight.

As "more profitable" as more "vapourizing" ASIC is.  Roll Eyes
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First Asic for SIA - Obelisk SC1 on: June 29, 2017, 02:13:24 PM

I'm happy to say I pre-ordered mine this afternoon. While it's true I could have converted everything over to eth, waited a day, then placed my order a day later, and made a nice profit before buying the same machine... I gotta remind myself not to think that way

Congrats, You just evaporated $2500. As I said, all numbers/dates were too unrealistic round. Just hope I'm wrong...
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: June 27, 2017, 11:58:43 AM
Ex:

You bought $1000 worth of ethereum on poloniex right after launch. Today the value is $500 000. If you move the $500 000 to your Fiat bankaccount, you need to pay tax of the profit.
If you keep the profit it USDT you delay the taxation, and you don't need to worry about the price fluctation of the cryptocoins.

...and one sunny day exchange hackers make You totally out of worries...
