341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][INCUBIT LABS] Crypto Startup Incubator - Moulding Ideas into reality on: January 12, 2021, 01:06:47 AM
For our incubator projects:
INB holders will have the opportunity to invest in seed/ private rounds, we won't distribute the token instead we will give INB holders a fixed yield which is reserved from the presale or public sale of the project after taking out incubit labs fee, liquidity for exchange and marketing expenses.

For Presale Pooling-
After we decide to incubate a project, we will send google form to INB holders which will contain all the details of the investing requirements, token vesting period, address to send the pooling amount etc, it can be a first come first serve basis(easy);or after checking INB balance.

This is a very nice idea. But could explain the benefits that investors will receive?
If the project that you support is successful, will investors be paid a dividend, or how will the co-financed startup return the money invested?

It's a bit complicated .. I'll read about it.

But my point is, your goal is to sponsor startups. How will it be determined in what amount, for what period the money will be transferred to the startup, and how will the startup return it? Will INB holders have an impact on it? Will INB holders have profits from the possible success of this startup?

343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty on: January 11, 2021, 03:27:00 PM
The most important thing is to research the project. Find out as much as possible about it. The more information we have about the project, the lower the risk that it is a scam.
For beginners, researching the project is not an easy matter, so it is best to check if high ranked members join the campaign - it usually means that they have researched the project and the probability that it is a legit bounty is much higher.
Of course, it is very important for bounty to be launched by an experienced manager, because he is the first to research the project and is responsible to make only good and profitable for bounty hunters campaigns. Newbie managers usually care only to earn money and don't think if bounty hunters get payment or not, so they are able to promote even scamers.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Another scam bounty campain Yearn.Global on: January 11, 2021, 12:58:07 PM

The project bounty manager should have at least checked the background of the campaign first. Isn't downpayment for the bounty manager possible? That should make the scam project move away from the bounty manager.
I guess even the manager was getting fooled by the scammers. It's not only it and I have seen that so many times the defi bounties ended as scam project and I wanna say that if the total scam bounties created by the defi projects are much greater compared with the ico bounty.
The defi platform was coming from forking the existing platform and that makes the scammer can clone the defi site anytime.

The bull run of Bitcoin price is not the best time for small projects, as all investors only look at BTC. This makes them unlikely to raise funds and provide liquidity. Let's hope that the cryptocurrency market will calm down and small projects will be able to develop, not collapse.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 📋 List of Bounty Campaign 2021 at Bitcointalk.org 📋 on: January 11, 2021, 11:00:07 AM
I got curious was it still profitable to participate in bounty campaigns on the forum I stopped for a long time now since I joined on many campaigns that paid worthless tokens and some of them didn't pay their participants.

Try not to avoid bounties which tokens are traded already. Then your only problem will be projects that refuse to distribute.

Just plain numbers:

Participated in DIA Data signature and social media campaigns - earned around 1.2k USD for 4 weeks.
Participated in FreeTon signature campaign - earned around 700 USD for 5 weeks.
Participated in Interfinex signature bounty - got around 160 USD for 3 weeks.

These are 2020 Q3-4 bounties, the results I remember. Participated here and on neighbor forum. Of course there were bunch of social media bounties with 10-30 USD rewards.

Unfortunately, I wasn't very active in signature campaigns last year. But your results say that it is not too bad and there are projects on the market that give a decent income.
I think it is mainly due to the bull run of Bitcoin price, I hope this situation last as long as possible.

Starta (STA) Token Buyback #5 | Technical Details

Dear Starta Token Backers,

We are happy to announce STA Token Buyback #5

The Celsius project CEL tokens were successfully liquidated.
5.60785050 BTC buyback amount.
0.56078505 BTC Reserve Fund.
5.04706545 BTC directed on current Buyback #5.

Since the assets behind the STA token are startups and the number and volumes of exits cannot be calculated in advance, and Cross Coin must ensure equal redemption opportunities for all token holders, a decision was made to organize a Reserve Fund.
Starting from the current # 5 Buyback, 10-20% of the proceeds, depending on the volume, will be deposited in the Reserve Fund in the form of BTC. The number of the Reserve Fund wallet will be published and available for control to holders of the STA token.
After all assets have been sold and all buybacks have been completed, the final buyback will be announced, on which the entire Reserve Fund will be spent. Thus, all holders of the remaining STA tokens will be able to take advantage of the opportunity to sell their STA tokens.

We would like to draw your attention to the basic parameters of the program, Buyback #5.
Platform:
https://waves.exchange
Program duration:
3:00 pm GMT January 11, 2021 to 10:00 pm GMT January 15, 2021
The total amount of funds allocated:
5.04706545 BTC

Placement of the trading orders within the term of the buyback program is not conditioned by the terms, periodicity, volumes, or prices.

STA tokens will be utilized.

The results of the program will be disclosed.

Sincerely,
Cross Coin team

We've all seen the price !!! It's not possible to sell everything for less than half the price?!? How that happened?

Can I negotiate with the team to withdraw my STA token?

By purchasing STA token, you agreed to the risks and conditions proposed by the project. Forget that now someone will change their mind.
It's a free market. You can sell your tokens on Waves exchange at any time at the price proposed by buyers.

Sorry for dumb question, how I can exchange my Starta coins?
I was participated in Starta ICO 3 years ago and hold my STA coins on waveswallet.io.

The only place where you can exchange STA is

https://waves.exchange/trading/spot/STA_WAVES
https://waves.exchange/trading/spot/STA_BTC

But now price is really low..

This is a space for the Bounty campaign, not to discuss the complaints you experience.

Move to the appropriate section to the Altcoin discussion: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0

You will find all the answers and problems you need to know.

Press the button below.
Jump to the appropriate section, (Altcoin discussion).
but isn't bounty section supposed to cover bounties?

I also think it is perfectly logical that this topic should remain here.

Dear Starta Token Backers,

We are happy to announce STA Token Buyback #4

The Celsius project CEL tokens were successfully liquidated.
7.1534 BTC are directed to buy back STA tokens.

We would like to draw your attention to the basic parameters of the program, Buyback #4.
Platform:
https://waves.exchange
Program duration:

STA tokens will be utilized.

Sincerely,
Cross Coin team.

Thank you, i hope you think about the supporters from the first minute and make the buyback over the ICO price. THX

And where are this tokens are trading now? On Waves Dex exchange only? Because i don't see token on Coingesko anymore. As far as I remember they have plegged price to usd on ICO 1$. At what price are they going buy back tokens now?

This has been explained many times. During Buyback, the tokens are redeemed at the market price. In this case, at the price of the only exchange where Starta is listed, i.e. Wavex.exchange.
Last few days omeone is selling very large amounts of tokens at a very low price, so the price cannot go up. It is currently below $ 0.40.
It is possible that some investor is complete idiot and has no idea what is going on, or the Starta team is lowering the price to buy from weak hands as cheaply as possible. It's hard to check if it's manipulation or an idiot investor.

Great info! The project is finally moving forward! At this point, when the price hits the bottom, it is a great rescue for improving the situation.

I don't see information whether the buyback will be on both pairs (Waves/STA and BTC/STA), or maybe only on one - if so, only on BTC/STA?
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC for bounty hunters on: November 04, 2020, 02:59:47 PM
In that case, the easiest solution is to be prepared for the fact that at the end of each bounty campaign to which we join, we will have to pass KYC verification. I know it's not fair, but I think it's the best way to avoid disappointment.
We can also ask the bounty manager and dev team very carefully before joining campaign. If they avoid responding, then we may suspect that they will attempt to make such change in rules at the time of distribution and they will request verification. Then we just leave such campaign.
Possibly this is the temporary solution, giving KYC details is not fair though but when you know what those rewards are worth to take then its time to compromise the privacy over the money.

KYC verification completely contradicts the basic principle of cryptocurrencies, i.e. anonymity. So I do not support it either. However, I do understand project developers who do not want to "feed" cheaters who apply with multiple accounts.
Alternatively, in those campaigns where KYC verification is necessary, there should be higher rates.
Bounties can increase the rewards with single click because they are not paying a real cryptos ( because it doesn't have any value yet). Higher rewards may lure people but still it is not going to change the fate of bounty campaign cheats either hunters should move to bitcoin campaigns or they have to choose their project more cautiously.

Because responsibility and "fears" are on both sides. Developers are worried that if a large number of scammers join the campaign, it will be ineffective and will give away a large amount of tokens for nothing, and bounty hunters are worried that if the project is a scam, their personal data will be sold and used for online crimes.
In my opinion, there are two options:
1. The developer will hire a professional manager to eliminate the scamers and then no KYC will be required.
2. Bounty hunters will do very thorough project research and only do KYC verification if they themselves decide that project is credible and legit.
Everyone should decide individually what suits him best.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC PUMP, But Every other Coin Dumping!! on: November 04, 2020, 01:41:34 PM
Its normal and the best thing to do when btc bumps seek for the best altcoins and buy them while they are down cause once the price of bitcoin become stable,  altcoins will be the next to rise up.
^ If you look at the experience that has often happened, often when the Bitcoin price has stopped moving up, Altcoin is late moving up.

currently, Bitcoin price is holding in the range of $ 13k - $ 13.9, surely in the near future when Bitcoin passes $ 14k then other Altcoins will move up too.

I wouldn't be so sure. In my opinion, it all depends on how quickly the Bitcoin price starts to rise. If it is a slow and steady growth, it is possible that altcoin prices will also follow the price of Bitcoin. However, if the BTC price starts to rise very quickly, I am sure that the alt prices will be dumped again and then we will have the opportunity to make shopping again Wink

Don't you know that most of the bounties asks the participants to complete KYC at the time of token distribution, which are supposed to be happen at the time of joining itself as per your suggestion?

KYC is against the idea of cryptos so crypto community should never appreciate that.

And this. To me, it is a straight scam when you change the terms of the bounty and after all the hard work they ask you to fill the KYC; many people would've never joined this campaign if they knew since the beginning that KYC was going to be mandatory.

And as far as I know there are many projects (airdrops mainly) that ask you to fill the KYC and then misuse your data. Sorry but no, thanks. I hope more and more members in this forum raise awareness on that.
Bounty hunters are not in a position to demand something from the project team, so nothing is going to be changed if few people starts thread like this and I feel every bounty hunter need to realize that their hard work being stolen with the stupid smart rules of the bounty team.

I have seen so many bounty people make multiple accounts and cheat bounty campaign, is it not possible for forum or bounty managers to make kyc compulsory for bounty guys?
Those who have done kyc will get instant approval

Not a bad idea honestly but what about those who are buying KYC off the web? there will always be cheaters in this space but its left for bounty managers to do the fishing, there are some tough bounty managers on this forum that are very strict on their campaigns, they are professionals when it comes to fishing out scammers

That's right, but the problem is bigger. The point is that some developers, mostly those who want to scam investors and bounty hunters, need spam. So they want as many participants as possible regardless of their quality. That's why they employ the cheapest managers who are basically just to create a thread, forms, accept everyone and basically that's it, because later bounty hunters will get nothing, because the developer will disappear with collected money.
Often, the developer also has own manager who usually doesn't know what to do or how to do it.
Good managers who know how to do this are mostly expensive and don't accept token payments only BTC/ETH, and scammers obviously don't want to pay in that way.

Unfortunately, the fact that there are hundreds of farmers on the forum is mainly the fault of bounty managers (not all of them ofcourse, but most). They allowed it because they didn't check users at all, which made them understand that they could do whatever they wanted.
KYC is a solution, but in my opinion this form of verification will not be accepted. For one very important reason - cryptocurrencies are a symbol of freedom, decentralization, and anonymity, and KYC completely disagrees with this principle.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC PUMP, But Every other Coin Dumping!! on: November 02, 2020, 07:48:45 PM
Even experts will never give you the answer to the question why Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies do not go up or down (in the same direction) all the time. Bitcoin, as the best crypto of all the times, and probably, the king of the crypto market forever, will be steadily growing in future.

Here, on this forum I see something completely different.. Reading the speculation section, it may seem that most Bitcointalk users are price predictions specialists. Smiley
Of course nobody can predict the price, but what actually happens is that when Bitcoin's price starts to rise very quickly, altcoins go down. This is probably because investors simply move capital from alts to BTC.
