I don't understand friedcat's thoughts on this.  He would sell more of them with a properly programmed controller. I may have went for 5 of them maybe 10 of them.
These would be an easy sell on ebay at 650 usd.   10 for 7.9 btc =  about 380 usd each.   I could sell 7 for 600 after fees and pay off the 10 leaving me 3 for free.

Believe it or not they are already up there from 697 to 829. Ahh capitalism.

I know but I really have a good ebay rep pretty much perfect.  1300 feedback 100% and 11 years on the site.

I don't want to sell gear with a controller that is basically manual.  I saw the listings and I know how my good ebay rep helps sales for me.  If I listed these at 675 with "ebay's best buy-it-now price"  they would sell fast.  Then people would want to return them as soon as the pool crashes and they find out no switching.  I am also not sure if ghash had come back up if it would have started back again.

So I will baby sit these in house for a few months  then sell them on ebay with clear disclosure and a low price since diff will be high in oct-nov.  Or maybe a controller fix is issued 2 pools with auto switching.

I agree with you, I hope that FC releases some new firmware to address all the issues that have been posted, if they did this would be a nice little miner.

I spoke to s0br this evening. Main focus was on rectifying any outstanding issues. Hoping to relay more information as I have it.

Thanks, as I have said before a lot of potential here if he can get everything sorted out. I will check back for your updates.

sjc I think most here had the same feeling of potential and still wish for this pool to succeed. It just seems the wheels are falling off the bus this last week as something's are very disturbing and starts to make a person question every aspect of what we were being told.

I agree with you and pulled my hash a while back going back reading the last few days it does seem as the problems are getting worse not better. I am not going to speculate or make any acquisitions I just simply won't bring my hash back till s0br himself addresses the issue and gives some explanations as what has been going on.

Decided to pop by and see if any of the issues had gotten solved as my pool is on a reallllly long round, and seriously death threats from a admin --- really?Huh Good luck ya'll apparently need it.

He's not an admin for the record.

My bad but relieved, I will ask you as you are one of the more level headed folks here. What is the status of the site are payouts - working now, s0br back yet?

Hi Everyone, I just got my KNC Neptune rig, what is the best pool to mine?

You found it, right here.
348  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: September 02, 2014, 09:40:10 PM
Ok... I just see the "Estimated reward for current round" going up and Down like i never seen before.. Ill give a week and see how mutch more slush makes with btcguild and ghash on the other side.. Ghash makes about 0.03 a Day on 1 th

I bet if you give it a couple of weeks you won't even think about the other two. We have really good days and days like today but when you average out a month or so it is usually always higher than it would have been anywhere else.
Take in consideration the excitement of those really good days where we knock out 8+ blocks and it is hard to beat.
349  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread [Round2, Price Down to <1btc per TH/s] on: September 02, 2014, 07:06:55 PM
If you're mining somewhere with no issues, what reason is there to switch? Slush recoded their backend specifically so people could mine there on these Tubes.

Though... what's up with that error rate?

Mine does that as well. Gotta be a glitch in the controller. With 3 boards working, 2 are showing 100% HWE. Pool shows all 3 running at 700 GH/s, controller says 675 GH/s.

Mine too since day 1. someone posted earlier a glitch in reporting.
350  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ANN: BITMAIN announces Cloud Hash Platform-HASHNEST.COM on: September 02, 2014, 12:38:58 AM
How long is the initial purchase for, if I purchase 1 TH is that for a week, month forever? Not stated on site.
351  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread [Round2, Price Down to <1btc per TH/s] on: September 02, 2014, 12:20:37 AM
Just a reminder, Slush's pool works no proxy and is a very stable pool (where I mine).
352  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] ASICMiner Tube Group Buy #2 on: September 02, 2014, 12:17:44 AM
Does anyone know if the Ethernet controller that ships with these has any sort of API output?  I monitor all my hardware with a web based frontend and would like to

monitor these too.  I have checked port 4028 and the "system" port and found no such output. Huh

Didn't see any sort of api on the controller itself, but if you run them through a bfgminer proxy you can enable the api in the bfgminer config.

That is what I have been doing.  But using Bfgminer as a proxy locks up the controller. Tongue  No web interface/nothing but a blinking light until power cycled!  If I mine

directly to Ghash.io (only pool that works ATM) It works great but no api.

Slush's Pool works no proxy, and does so very well.
353  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] ASICMiner Tube Group Buy #2 on: September 01, 2014, 02:33:54 AM
I wonder if it would be possible to adapt an S1 controller board to run the tube boards.  That would be nice.
well it is a different company so who knows.

At Canary  friedcat is offering coupons. So what is 1 unit price after the coupon. Since I purchased 1 unit from you I should be able to get a .05 btc coupon

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735728.msg8608924#msg8608924

So if I want one do I send you 0.99 btc?  plus a label?

Even with the restricted controller I do like this gear. A second unit allows me a second controller I am hopeful someone will figure a way to program a better gui into a controller.
Correct

Canary,
I did get an answer from FC in regards replacement which I will forward to you via PM. Thanks.
354  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread [Round2, Price Down to <1btc per TH/s] on: September 01, 2014, 02:23:19 AM
Coupon rule:

For each device purchased, you get a 0.05 btc coupon. The price of each new purchased device can only be reduced by one coupon. Coupon works not only for round 2 sales, but also all future devices that are priced at more than 0.05 btc each.

FC I have been trying to get a hold of you, I bought 2 from Canary and one has a board that only hashes 157 of the expected 205 and is showing a bad chain (---) can you help me RMA. Would like to pu a couple more but want to get this RMA issue handled first. Canary said to go through you. Thanks.
355  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: August 31, 2014, 06:11:44 PM
Woohoo.

Got 2 Antminer S1s online now both clocked and a stable 200GH/s each also got my Antminer U2 USB clocked in at 2.1Gh/s stable.

Bringing in some nice profit.     I've always loved slushs pool.  Fee thing sucks but hey,  you gotta spend money to make money.

One thing with slushs pool that I dont feel I get anywhere else is the fact that, with slushs pool, I've never once felt let down with my rewards.
Because you make up for it in the end.

We have had some slow days, some fast days, some bad days.   But when the time comes around.   You WILL make your money back, no matter what.   Patience my young padawans.    Patience is key.

Nice mining with you all Cheesy

I agree it really does average out and often on the higher side. I might have strayed a few times to compare against new pools offering glitz, glamor, and the promise of high rewards but after a few days I would always end up back here. With that said Slush is one of the most stable and trustworthy pools around and I call this pool my mining home.

Well luckily I am not in a rush yet...someone I have traded with is giving me the controller I need.  I will let you know if I hear back from Canary and what he says.

Thanks

So far RMA do we go to Canary or AM?

Good question, hope you have better luck than I am having.

PM Canary. He got back to me after a couple of days. Dude has been crazy busy and is probably taking a few days off, it is the weekend and a holiday tomorrow.

We exchanged emails and he pointed me to phasebird or FC and neither have responded.

I may not mine here anymore but this thread is hands down the best reading on the forum. More conspiracy theories here than Area 51, only thing missing is the black helicopters.
Good Luck and Happy Mining.

Anyone have any idea what the new L1 product is going to be on Bitmain's site?
