342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: February 28, 2024, 10:15:42 AM
with a dear friend, who has this addiction, I criticize him instead. even a lot.
or rather I always show my support! helping him when possible but I try to criticize the reality of the game addiction by making some examples so he can see how much money and time he loses in this activity.

It is not true that compulsive gambling cannot be stopped, but I believe that each person must find the "key" to stopping this mechanism on their own.
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are not to gamble. on: February 28, 2024, 09:51:21 AM
this is the right spirit.
Gambling must be fun and never undertaken as an activity to earn like a work... of course without a "professional" way of acting.
in general I would add to your list: don't bet if you don't enjoy it/have fun.
344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: February 27, 2024, 02:48:30 PM
very disappointing match by Italian Tennis player L. Musetti.
He is slightly losing position on ATP rank and it's not the first time he has a dismal performance.
For the third time in a row he has lost in the first match of a tournament!

Meanwhile it seems in a very good shape another Italian, Mr. Arnaldi, he achieved a nice win against T. Fritz that was not the easiest player to defeat.
345  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏈Learn How To Arbitrage and make thousands a month🏈 on: February 25, 2024, 10:14:40 PM
my experience is that you need a lot of cash and you can even risk that the account is banned (accordingly ToS and AAMS - italian administration - rules).
it's interesting these kinds of bets but requires to much cash in advance and I don't know how these can works in "long time".

348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: February 24, 2024, 09:31:25 PM
I believe this depends on several cultural factors.
In my country, women who bet in a sportbook or in a gambling house are really rare. I have never seen a women place a bet in a "live corner" ...Those who do it just for "fun" maybe with friend and sporadically.

Different however with people who buy "scratch cards". instead it becomes a discussion of "gender equality" there is practically the same interest between men and women.
349  Other / Meta / Re: Italian main topic on bitcoin - why we have so much OFF TOPIC? on: February 24, 2024, 09:18:53 PM
It's something curious that in a bitcoin forum in a thread related to bitcoin you have to read all posts that are not related to bitcoin and "this is fine" it's pretty normal. Even the merit source is sharing merit to people that are posting non-sense or off topic. Roll Eyes
Ok the message is pretty clear. Our moderator is not online since a while... that's ok.

@philipma1957 in this topic you can find pages and pages regarding NASDAQ, NIKKEI, Real estates investments, laws made in california, long economic and unwanted analysys and more and more.
Sometimes someone is sharing something related bitcoin but is immediately shut down. that's ok. it's a mistake talk about bitcoin and the only topic still active in our subforum is full of trolls and... that's fine, just stop writing or move to other places Smiley

@Rifakip I hope that this doesn't happens even with the whole forum according your statement "majoriy of members don't agree with your view of the situation"... Roll Eyes

Have a nice weekend guys and enjoy bitcoin!
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A lot of gambling sites are scams ! on: February 24, 2024, 09:04:02 PM
It's absolutely true! but here it's up to you to understand whether a site is reliable or not.
For example, I check how "famous" is a gambling site.
Another important check is related to verify if there is a topic on the forum (even in scam accusation to try to understand the problems they might have). Being licensed can be a helpful but not the main factor on my view. I avoid making any deposits if I am not sure of the conditions (see the ToS). Last but not least if they have a "too good to be true" gambling offer, I am just avoiding it...
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Outcomes of insighting gambling for a source of income. on: February 24, 2024, 11:00:10 AM
If it were so easy to win at gambling that you could make a living, there wouldn't be so many bookmakers and all the bettors would be very rich.  Cool
It's clear that sooner or later you get "burned" by gambling and end up losing Sad

I also agree with the comment that with $1000 at least in a country western it is really difficult to launch a profitable (legal) business...
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What game will you choose for one shot big bet? on: February 24, 2024, 10:34:06 AM
in a betting game you should never look for "lucky shot" but operate systematically step by step.
I wouldn't look for the big score but instead I would try to "cut my losses" perhaps by withdrawing or perhaps playing results that I consider much easier.
Guessing a 10x happens in 10% of cases... I would not waste this chance....
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: February 23, 2024, 11:08:52 AM
this is one of the few questions where the answer is obvious. and it's a topic I always repeat when we talk about gambling.
you can certainly win, but in the long run, the more you play (compulsively) the loss of money and lack of fun is practically certain.
just look at how many gambling companies are created and how many profits they achieve every year
354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A famous influencer lost more than $4000 in just 2 minutes. (2) on: February 23, 2024, 10:46:53 AM
at least this guy broadcast a real event and not the classic fake win.
certainly these videos are terrible for those with gambling problems because they encourage compulsive gambling (gambling several monthly salaries is not normal) making such an activity seem almost fun.
In my country (Italy) there are some "gambling influencer" but they are just comic since it's clear they are wasting ton of moneys or are forced to provide fake data of their bets...
355  Local / Off-Topic (Italiano) / Re: Mie prime foto astronomiche on: February 23, 2024, 09:11:18 AM
wow complimenti! sono davvero delle bellissime foto!
356  Other / Meta / Re: Italian main topic on bitcoin - why we have so much OFF TOPIC? on: February 22, 2024, 09:49:24 PM
Well, some replies are clearly and completely off topic and I have just reported.
This is the main topic of our board with 1301 pages! We are in a bitcoin forum, the main forum on this argument.
It's absurd that people interested in bitcoin must move in another topic....
meanwhile it seems there is "systematic" interest to derail the discussion and read wall of text NOT RELATED to bitcoin... if you talk about bitcoin, some one will "reply" to your post talking about "real estates" Grin LOL...  I am tired of this since it's clear that these kind of users have no interest at all in bitcoin.

@Xal0lex I didn't remember if you were global mod, but can you have please a look of post reported?
More over if other MODS are reading, can you please take a look on this?
Thank you, I hope you understand whats' the point here.

edit:
1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. [1][e]
These posts have no value. These are replies that are not talking about the thread (completely unconnected) and are not interesting since these are not related to the main argument of the thread.

2. No off-topic posts.
These posts are clearly off topic. If we are talking about "what's next in bitcoin" and some one explain how it works real estate... it's impossible have a discussion with anybody and there is a clear intention to derail continuously the thread. (I don't understand why there is such interest to write off topics in this thread...)

3. No trolling.
This is a clear trolling approach. Same users have agreed to discuss about the topic of thread but less than 24 hours they are starting again talking about non-sense in this thread.... it's becoming "frustrating" to follow a bitcoin thread, in a bitcoin forum... where it's somewhat impossible talking about bitcoin....

edit2
1. Free speech - you can say anything as long as it is relevant
Well these posts are not relevant since are replies unconnected with main thread argument and even are far away from messages quoted.

3. No pointless or uninteresting threads.
This thread is becoming more and more pointless and uninteresting. If you can find anything not related to bitcoin, why we have a forum and a thread related to the topic bitcoin?
357  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: BITCOIN PUMP! on: February 22, 2024, 09:40:06 PM
Grazie agli Ordinals, Bitcoin accoglie l'emulatore del Nintendo 64
https://it.cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-ordinals-nintendo-64-emulator

No per favore!
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling for fun and not a way of making money on: February 22, 2024, 09:29:28 PM
I think it becomes a matter of logic. Razor Occam...
If it were so easy to make money with gambling, why are there so many sites that offer gambling-related activities that are actually really profitable?
many users forget that gambling is really a mathematical and statistical discussion.
Much worse! many users don't know that some providers are so profitable that they don't list on the stock market... really, are there anyone who thinks they can beat this market?  Grin it make me laughs Smiley

gambling is just for fun.
ok you can win and sometimes make money, but you have to have fun. if this is missing, change your hobby.
359  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: BITCOIN PUMP! on: February 22, 2024, 06:40:56 PM

Lo so. E' una visione un po estremistica dell'argomento, ma tutta una serie di avvenimenti fanno intendere che determinati strumenti saranno essenziali nel prossimo futuro e bitcoin è uno di questi.

...
Odds today on ROLLBIT are Sinner 1.23 v 4.30 de Minaur. Is the Australian that much
of an outsider? I dont think so TBH.
...
This is brilliant for Jannik to be reaching #3 in the rankings, ok Medvedev is taking a break but
we all know Jannik deserves that position.
De Minaur is the player that normally Sinner has for the double. Italian guy know very well him and as I have reported De Minaur has never been able to won a single set against him! this is not a minor aspect in my opinion.  Yes finals are differents but Sinner was in a great shape.

Meanwhile Alcaraz isn't the same player that we have seen up to know. I am really curious to see his performance in Indian Wells.... hoping that he will solve his physical issuess.
