Cryptocurrencies are not illegal, but their use in ponzi and other illegal stuff is definitely banned.

You can see the similar case that Rupee is not banned but people doing illegal stuff with it is banned.

Also, more importantly when will the tokens be live on the exchanges ?
Many months have already passed and I see no communication from their side. Their blog has been dead since october and their bitcointalk account was last active in october.

Why do you think that there is lack of good campaigns ? There are many campaigns running but most of them are full for the new participants.
There are a lot of users in search of new campaigns, and mostly the spots gets filled in a day, recent example : InsurePal campaign.
Many campaigns offer nice payouts, even when the bitcoin price is increasing rapidly.

Those campaigns are already full at the moment, they usually declare in OP or in the post tile, but people don't pay attention to it and just continue to spam the thread and post their applications.

I took part in Gilgam.es bounty, although the bounty hunters got their rewards in ggs tokes, they were worth nothing because the developers didn't get their tokens on reputable exchange, and without any demand the tokes became worthless. I have ~5K ggs lying and they have no value.

The bitcoin transaction fees are rising because the network is getting congested.
Also, the bitcoin price is rising meaning that for the same txn fees in bitcoin which you paid now costs more than 15 usd.
Many wallet have the feature to adjust the fees. In electrum you can set it to minimum but you may have to wait for long to get it confirmed.

Its getting really annoying lately. This threads get bumped to the top the most.
Currently there are 12 txn accelerator services thread on the first page of services section ! 3 of them even has the exact copy-pasted title.
bitminers.pro was spamming the board recently by creating new topics frequently about his duplicate site of confirmtx.
Many users are willing to pay >10$ to those people whereas they could have done the same before as txn fees !
Btw, electrum has the option to increase the txn fees if the current one takes long, don't know if any other wallet has it yet.

Online wallets like blockchain.info and coinbase usually generate new addresses in order to maintain privacy.

Did you have the recovery phrase before this incident or after all this happened ?
If you didn't backup it originally and are trying now, I guess the new recovery phrase is the one that contains your new address only ! That's why when you are trying to import it into another wallet, only the new address is added which has zero balance.

If you had backup of wallet before this incident, then you can certainly recover those ETH.

From my past experience, while creating new address they never remove the older one, you may check the addresses tab for all available addresses...

It has been 1 week and this campaign has turned out to be scam ?
The user BitlogicTrading has not been online since 8 December. There is no official announcement that this campaign is over, so it is there duty to send the rewards to there participants.
Their signature campaign also ended abruptly in the middle. I would not trust their services.

From my personal experience, I have only used MyEtherWallet(MEW)(https://www.myetherwallet.com) and had no problem whatsoever. Just you need to pay attention to the website url you visit, because there have been many phishing clones of the website to take away your coins. It is better to bookmark the website.
Other more secure methods are to use hardware wallets like ledger or trezor.

Are you sure that these airdrops asked for your PRIVATE Keys ?? I don't think any airdrops require users their private keys and there is no chances of them hacking your MEW. Some airdrops asks users to sign a message, some need their email, etc. but they only require their ethereum public address.

I must say that many airdrop coins are shitcoins, but few recent coins that I gained from their airdrops are (I rarely join airdrops) :
POSToken, Bitcoin Cash and ByteBall. I have Bitcoin Gold lying, but there are no trusted wallets currently to transfer them to an exchange.

Having more exchanges is good for the bitcoin community. It provides users the choice to chose the best amongst them, thereby increasing competition which ultimately leads to upgradation of exchanges to stay in the race.
Having different exchanges ensures that security breach in any one of them does not shakes up the price of bitcoin as was the case with mt. gox.

There are many services that offer virtual as well as physical debit cards. These cards can be used in any online store or actual stores where visa/mastercard is accepted.
As you need to pay for examination fees, you can just order a virtual card and pay online. The card would be loaded up with cryptocurrency, usually bitcoin, at the current btc/usd rate. I had used spectrocoin virtual card in the past, but they seem to lower the limits for unverified accounts.

If the campaign has open slots then you would see that the campaign manager quoting the accepted users on that campaign. You can also search your username in the campaign's spreadsheet to see if you are accepted.
If the campaign is old, then it may be FULL and CFNP - Closed For New Participants, and there is no need to wait for them to reply.
