When the time comes we should use EK's voting mechanism that we used to decide about XEL-supply.
So far i like Dumple's design. If he wins i am happy to send him 0.5BTC.

I think These logos are enough we can pass the next step
discussion should go to slack or another thread and succeed into a per XEL-voting when the time has come. I agree with you I opened a thread, so we can outsource the discussion from here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1853522.0

Im Vergleich zu den heutigen Blockchains mag das ja viel sein, aber ob 36000 Transaktionen pro Stunde reichen um Millionen oder gar Millarden von Geräten zu vernetzen nochmal lesen

The only people this will affect are donators. Many are not visiting this thread and cannot cast their votes. If investors want to further contribute funds, that is their choice. Those who haven't invested should have no say in this.
Edit: Also they devs still have the 700 BTC. They are just temporarily inaccessible in Lannister's absence.
You're missing part of the story. EK and other developers (sorry for not mentioning them all) are working for free, they DO NOT have access to the 700 BTC It is not temporarily Developers have been working for months free. We can not wait for Lannister to appear. The crypto world continues without us. Anyway, this can have an easy solution, a vote among the donors that continue to go to this thread, the only one with updated information. I do not understand that resistance to donate a percentage of the XEL obtained from the deal. EK always says that it wants the community to participate and build ELASTIC, therefore, it will be the community that decides how to form the foundation. Forcing any donator to spend a % of their holdings would be a breach of contract and therefore a scam, even if decided by voting per XEL. If you vote you force others to donate. That's a NO GO. You folks should calm down. Funding is not the biggest concern. Finding people that are worth funding will be much more difficult.

I think a separate thread for a logo contest would be good. I'm willing to donate some if a foundation is created to reward devs/art/project management.
Creating a foundation is a great idea, but separate thread ? We have so many separate threads and most are practically dead . We already had a logo contest and a logo. I'm not a fan either, but to restart this whole thing now – come on. Dumple is right; when it comes to logos or design questions in general, the "wisdom of the mass" doesn't seem to work. Everybody has an opinion, but nobody has a clue. Probably because it's a question of taste more than anything else. The logo he has done is really nice. The last logo contest we had was basically just some posts saying "I like this, i like that." In this early stage we can play around with stuff like that quite easily, later it will hurt our reception if we change it every few days. I agree that it might be a minor detail compared to the development stuff like SN and such, but i think it should be addressed as the old logo is not very good imo. But the discussion should go into another thread or slack or whatever. Also we have that beautiful voting-mechanism that EK built and i think we should use it more often. So we need a thread with proposals and then (after some weeks) a vote per XEL.

So historically the Jews were always the good guys fighting against fascist tyranny. Just look at Israel today, they are surrounded by enemies, and they are bravely fighting against them. The Jews have always played the victim card, and they have sided with those who try to destroy the European civilization. Look at the current immigrant crisis. The Jews are among the most vocal supporters of importing Muslim immigrants from the Middle East. LOL, you are aware of that in Germany new Anti-Semitism is for most parts just a phenomenon of young muslim immigrants? In Berlin have been several incidents of violence from young Muslims against jewish Rabbis and jewish Kids. Why would anyone want to have more of that? Makes zero sense.

Green is nice but it is more related to : Environment, Organic food, American dollar. Orange is the color of : Bitcoin, technology, warmth Yeah, but everyone is fed up with Bitcoin. Bitcoin is associated with infights, technical issues, regulation and general bad PR.

Golem about to enter the Top10.
In my opinion, Golem is truly destined to be on the top 10 without a doubt. Jepp. But they don't even have a working app... There was an attempt by Apple several years ago to create a network for what Golem now calls Brass Golem (distributed 3D-rendering), but that task was so technically challenging, that Apple finally gave it up. Do you believe that Golem team can do this? Interesting, didnt know about that Apple thing. When was that? Had they distributed Blockchains at their disposal? You know the Blockchain-invention changed quite a bit when it comes to decentralized tasks. Regarding the Top10. I don't think that Lisk, Waves or Maidsafe deserve to be Top10. So i am completely fine with Golem entering Top10 and kicking Maidsafe out of Top10. It was called Xgrid: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XgridIt was proprietary, no blockchain. But blockchain is not needed for distributed computing anyway, Golem uses it as a ledger for GNT tokens, as a part of payment system. Interesting. When it come to valuation of such a project, it's a combination of two factors: a.) likelihood of success and b.) Valuation in terms of (eventually groundbreaking success).

I like the logo but somehow I don't like it with blue, too many projects like that. Maybe some fluorescent green? good idea. What do you think of color " Orange" , like the BTC itself . Anything but a boring blue/gray/black/gold/silver. I think elastic needs to have a fresh playful color Here are some other color options. I'm not going to keep posting endless color revisions. I'll provide the vector file. Then the colors can be easily adjusted to anything. The community can decide the color scheme of the logo and site, and then update it later. I like the purple - it stands out! purple is the color of sexual frustration. i like green, green is growth and hope. seems like we will have to use our voting-mechanism to decide.

Core should hardfork to another Algo and activate Segwit at the same time. Who the hell needs Sha256-Asic farms. Any PoW algo is fine. The sooner the better. The Sha256 Bitcoin would soon be irrelevant, and the new fork will take the name Bitcoin.
Bitmain CEO Jihan Wu and other miners are foes. They aren't even able to load up a 5 min. video of themselves on youtube and state why they mine BU. There is something shady going on and it should be ended with full force.
Its not as easy as that, mining cartel has stated they have 100 million dollars set aside to destroy the Core fork even if they adapt another algo. And they have all the right to do so. If you invest in mining equipment it's obv your choice what to do with it. That's called free capitalism.

Golem with now a market cap of over $70 million and keeps going higher all based on speculations ( not an actually working coin). Imagine Elastic with its Supernodes and great working condition will beat $200 million market cap at no time. ( just an observation)
People are so high for XEL expectations? Haha, nope, not me. If Golem hits $100 million we will most likely hit $30-40 million. There is more to it than just functionality when it come to valuation of cryptos. But hey, $40 million would be nuts.
