I mean technically speaking all teams have "bought" players, how many teams won UCL by raising youth players from their own system? It just that some teams have more players that played together, and some teams have less. City for example won it this year and looking at them they had players who have been there for only 2-3 seasons so far on their starting team as well, even just their rookie year like Haaland for example, so it is not a must.

It doesn't guarantee that players been together for many years neither, sometimes it helps, but that doesn't mean you will win. At the end of the day what matters is talent of the players and how much they fit the system of the manager who has to be talented as well. If you have that, you have a good chance to win.
PSG is a big team currently the best in Ligue 1 for years and are financially capable of getting any top players but what they need is a good coach like Pep Guardiola that would build a very strong squad and instill a winning mentality and probably lead them to victory in the Champions league which they're desperately in need of, as for players they brought in good players to replace the departed ones and so far they've been impressive in the Champions league  and has to maintain that form to be able to succeed in the tournament.

Mbappe is the most reliable player for the team and is very important for them due to his goal scoring ability and they'll need him to be in form so as to help them try achieve the Champions league this season, but I feel Mbappe might seize to be a player of PSG by next season.
3422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 22, 2023, 08:42:39 PM

Of course, Napoli shouldn't underestimate Bologna because this team has quite good defense. They could make a difficulty for Juventus, Juventus only got a draw result against Bologna at home. But we must remember that AC Milan defeated Bologna, it was away match for AC Milan. So, Bologna actually isn't a very tough team, they are small team only. If Napoli can play with their best, I have no doubt that Napoli can win the match and get 3 points. Moreover, if Osimhen can show his motivation to be the candidate of Serie A top scorer. I believe Osimhen will play aggressively because he needs some goals to compete for the top scorer this season.

Let's be realistic,Bologna are no match for Napoli, and they're the underdogs and would be bullied by Napoli in the match, Napoli are the defending champions and have to start winning matches to meet up with Inter who are currently the league if not they'll keep going down to a point where it would be too late to meet up winning the trophy, Inter and Juventus are not relenting they're fighting very hard to win the league so Napoli needs to be tough if they want to retain their trophy.

Victor Osimhen needs to bring out his best in the match and lead his team to victory, he's performanimg well but finding it difficult to get goals, I believe he'll try as much as possible to end the goal draught against Bologna, they're not a very strong team so it should be easy for Napoli to beat them, else fans would begin to complain about Rudi Garci.

Tottenham Hotspur lost Harry Kane in the summer transfer window; the club is looking to regain their footing and Angelos Postecoglou is the best guy to get the club back on track. Spurs' performance is not going to change this season; instead, they will work even harder to achieve positive results. They made good market additions, such as adding prominent player, James Maddison, and other players, who have contributed to the club's enormously positive performance. After all, Heung-min Son is currently Tottenham Hotspur's most valuable exceptional player.

Suprisenly Tottenham are not really affected by the lose of Harry Kane and I think the new coach Ange Postecoglou is really doing well for the team and has put then back to winning ways I hope they continue with their good performance to stand a chance of playing in a major competitions next season, Son is really enjoying the position of the captain of team and his performance is very brilliant because it's help to lead his team to victory in several matches this season.

They'll be facing Arsenal in their next match and this is a big test for Ange Postecoglou and i know they'll try their best to secure a victory, Arsenal are the favourites to win but Tottenham shouldn't be underestimated because their performance this season have been so outstanding and they could take Arsenal by suprise on  Sunday.
3424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: September 22, 2023, 08:19:25 PM
At least, if PSG does not have a good performance this season then of course, the title race will become more interesting. Because yes, although at this moment Moncao is still at the top of the Ligue 1 standings. But I'm sure, over time of course the competition will be more visible, because I'm sure Moncao will also not be able to continue to get a win in every match. Therefore, although at this moment Monaco is still at the top in the standings, but of course there is still no definite guarantee for Moncao to be able to win the title again as happened in the 2016/2017 season. Because basically, the league is still long and it will certainly be difficult for Monaco to maintain its position at the top of the Ligue 1 standings throughout this season.
Yeah, that's for sure. There is no guarantee Monaco can continue to win in every match, also so far there have been several matches that have ended in draw results. Currently Monaco is playing their match at home against Nice, I am not too sure Monaco can secure full points because Nice this season their performance has also improved. The first half will soon be over, so far both team can't scored maybe first hal ended with 0-0 results but Nice looks better although they are playing away, there is possibility that match they will end with a draw.
Monaco are doing good so far this season and they were the most favourites to win the match, but its still on with a barren draw the winner of the match would determine who top he league for a while and Monaco are so careful not to concede a goals, both teams are very good this season and i knee the match was going to be this tough, however Monaco are still a very strong contenders of the league and might give PSG this season.

Both teams are very impressive in the match but Nice have created more chances to goal so far, but the home team Monaco are dominating in the match, but there's a tendency that the match might end with a draw cause none wants to concede defeat, they're both careful and are giving there best to win the match.
3425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: September 22, 2023, 07:52:56 PM

On Madrid's side, this match will not be easy. like they overthrew their opponents, whose level was below Atletico. I am sure that as usual, Don Carlo will use the same system as the previous matches.  Well, even though Madrid are always the favorites, this match will be the toughest match for them as long as they have played their 5 matches in La Liga. Just look, even the bookies don't favor either of these two teams.
BTW, I won't speculate at this time, because this match will be held in the next 2 days.
Realmadrid are the favourites to win the match based on their current performance so far, but it's not going to come easy because Atletico Madrid is a tough side as well, and they're going to fight back and make the match very tough for a Realmadrid to beat them easily definitely they'll be the defending side and probably park the box so Madrid won't get a clear chance to score.

This is a first test for Realmadrid to know to show their strength against another big side, they got the strength, the winning mentality and more better players that would help them easily beat Atletico Madrid and I think they'll win the match just that Atletico won't allow Madrid beat them very easily, this is going to be the toughest match of the week.

3426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 22, 2023, 07:41:30 PM

I will not blame him for conceding 4 goals, but he is to be blamed for the first goal that went in. At this level of football no keeper should be letting that past them. But it is important to notes that higher pressure is on keepers and their mistakes are always costly. A midfielder can misplace a pass or miss a control and it gets overlooked immediately, same with a striker who can fail to make a run or miss a sitter and it is not such a big deal. But any error by a keeper costs the team 9 times out of 10.

Onana still has lots of matches to prove his doubters wrong and he is one of the best keepers with the ball at his feet, he just is not in a team that plays out of the back.

- Jay -
Yeah the first goal was a very big mistake by Onana he could had caught it easily or pushed it away for a corner but he carelessly allowed it slide past him, but I think the defenders also have their own side of the blame as well for letting the Bayern Munich attacker get past them easily, Dalot wasn't very strong enough in the match and allowed Gnabry to bully him then created an chance that lead to a goal.

Eric Ten Hag has a lot of work to do to get the best out of his players, right now he's short on options and have to manage the players he's got, Onana is not that very bad like people think he might not be as better as degea In shot stopping but he's good and is not yet very confident enough due to a lack of defence to help him but with time i feel he'll pick up, it's a good thing he realised his mistake after the match and accepted the blames of them losing the match.
3427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 22, 2023, 07:25:27 PM
Currently Milan look much better than Napoli to tell the truth. Their performance against Newcastle was so lovely to watch. They couldn't manage to win because of being on their unlucky day. But their game was much more impressive than Napoli's recent performances. I really don't know what is wrong with Napoli at the moment. They actually started well by good results. But since the day they lost to Lazio they are struggling to win matches. Osimhen is also not as good as at the beginning of the season.

Is this really about Rudi Garcia or maybe something else? No matter what it is they had better focus on their game more. They need to beat Bologna next time to collect themselves.
You're right, last season Inter where more focused on competing for the Champions League title and they almost achieved it but got beaten by Manchester City in the final, I believe they've channelled that same energy to the league this season and with their performance you'll know they're very serious in winning the league, they even beat Milan 5-1 to tell how strong they're this season, to me they're the strongest and most likely to win the league.

Napoli so far are having a slow start this season they're not really playing according to the fans expectations and have given Inter enough chance to gap them in the table, when Rudi Garcia came in I wasn't really convinced he was the rightful person to lead Napoli to victory again, i think I was right after all because they're not playing like title defenders, well the league is still fresh, let's see if he'll be able to clear the doubts about him.
3428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 22, 2023, 06:31:45 PM

We can never say Harry Kane is a good palyer because of the scoring of four goals in the Bundesliga. Kane is a player who knows how to finish the balls perfectly. Also, he has good ball-carrying skills and you just saw that in the previous game from this palyer in Bayern Munich. Also, Kane wanted to join Bayern Munich himself and this can give him an extra motivation.
Regardless of that one good reason for Kane to score these goals is the other players and playmaker is Bayern Munich.
Of course Harry Kane is a very good player and he's proved himself in the Premier league and scored lots of goal at Tottenham, if not for the fact that he's switched to be Bundesliga he would had broken the highest goal record of Allan Shearer who's currently the record holder and I believe he'll do same at Bayern Munich, it might not be possible to break the goal record in Bayern but i believe he'll get a good number of goals before he leaves Germany.

Bayern Munich were desperately in need of a good finisher to replace Lewandowski and that's why they got Kane because they can't rely on chupo moting  alone and so far Kane has been very impressive for the team and has already score four goals I expect him to score up to twenty or more goals this season for Bayern Munich
3429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 22, 2023, 06:10:36 PM

For one reason, Arsenal may have some tough time in the current season, considering the kind of clubs that are on their lineup for the early games in this season, if luck is not on Arsenal side, they have a very tough starting point in this season compared to last season when Asernal have alot of positive results in they early games which positioned them for a better competition for the remaining period of the season.
Unlike the current position with Asernal were no significant success have been registered so far compared to last season where Asernal was on the 1st position on the table for several weeks.
The competition is becoming  tough for Arsenal and they'll be having a very tough match tomorrow against Tottenham who are performing very brilliant this season and i think they'll need luck to win the match against Tottenham and i feet it's goimg to be a draw match because both teams are good currently and would be so careful to concede a goal, but i think Arsenal are the favourites to win the game.

However I'm not going to underestimate Tottenham because they've been so brilliant this season and taking the league by storm, and beating the clubs they come across, I think there new coach is a blessing to the team cause he's changed their style of play and instill a winning mentality into his players, anyways if Arsenal survive Tottenham beating Brentford and Bournemouth won't be an issue for them.
3430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 22, 2023, 12:31:18 PM

If not that last season the performance of arsenal players reduced it would  have been so difficult for Manchester City to win the league.  If arsenal can manage their energy to perform good till the end of the season Manchester City chances of winning the league this season will be slim. But still Manchester City still remains the favorites to win the league because they have always have sufficient energy to perform excellent till the end of the league. For now are can't be predicted what they will be upto as the season goes on.
I have this feeling that Manchester City might not win the league this season, they're the best performing team in the EPL currently but the season is still fresh and i won't conclude yet because i know they'll still face injury crisis like other teams ánd probably drop some points, giving chance for other teams to top the league, we know how Debruyne's injury affected their performance before Pep quickly restrategised to get them going, now imagine when 3 to four key players get injured.

However let's not forget Liverpool and Tottenham are also in form as well and they've started well too so i won't write them off because they're strong contenders and would challenge Mancity when they begin to drop form due to injury crisis, Arsenal last season were very brilliant if only they could step up a bit and perform similar to their performances in the beginning of last season.
3431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: September 22, 2023, 12:15:32 PM

well, thats what I mean is that the journey to the EPL match is still very long and Ten Hag still has a lot of opportunities to improve Man United performance in the future and yes, maybe you are right if Ten Hag has the expertise or has the task of improving or improving the quality of Man United performance but to become champion in the EPL is very difficult and only luck can change MU fate.

btw, this weekend match is a bit interesting and seems convincing to bet on the Man City vs Nottingham match. In the early stages of this season, Man City can always secure 3 points to beat their opponents, even though they are playing away from home, Guardiola always has the right plan and betting on Man City will be very profitable, even though the odds are small, there are other options to get bigger odds. lets predict together.

For now the Manchester United manager has to work with the options he has and try as much as possible to secure some points before it's to late to qualify for the top 6 because because if they fail to do so they might end up finishing 10 or so and as for becoming the Champions this season it would take a miracle for that to come through they might only be able to secure a spot in the top 4, anyway Manchester United are the favorites in their next match and i expect them to win Burnley.

Nottingham Forest is not a match for Manchester City and they could easily beat Forest even with few of their key players, im not underestimating Forest but im just saying based on City's performance recently, they haven't lost any match since the league started and they're currently on of the most inform team in the world there i think City would win with 2 or 3 more goals.

Sunday 24th September
Bologna 17:00 Napoli

I think Napoli is the game for me this weekend; its been a quiet week for Victor Osinhem who struggled in front of goal against Genoa and Braga in the last 2 games for Napoli; but still managed to have a good performance. Will he break the 2 games goal draught this weekend? i am looking forward to seeing that happen!!

With Napoli having a struggling start to the season alonsgide Bologna; the game is a statement tie which Napoli has to win. What do you predict?
Victor Osimhen was in a good form during the international break and even scored a hat-trick for his country, but i don't know why he's struggling to score now he's back, he needs to work hard and recover his form cause he's one of the players fans would be looking out for and the teams success depends on his good performance as well, it hope be breaks the goal draught and score a brace against Bologna on sunday.

I expect them to win the match cause they're playing against a weaker side, therefore are the favorites to win, as the defending champions of the league matches against smaller teams shouldn't be tough for them and if they fail to win on sunday it means that Rudi Garcia is not the suitable manager for the club and they better get a suitable manager that would match Spalletti's standard before it's too late, but anyways i trust Napoli to win Bologna on sunday.

The mismatch between Sancho and Ten Hag is even more complicated to explain because the egos of Sancho and Ten Hag also seem to be very large but indeed this is not too strange for Ten Hag because last season he was also like that and even continued to argue with Ronaldo.
I think Sancho is a talented young player it's just that he doesn't really fit into the scheme applied by Manchester United especially dissatisfaction with Ten Hag is also another problem that makes his performance quite different when at Dortmund and at Manchester United. this is the same as Pogba and several other players who were previously also considered not contributing greatly.

When Manchester United try to sell Sancho and bring Kudus I think this is a little difficult but it can still be done when there is a suitable price.
West Ham brought Kudus from Ajax this season on a long contract and at 45 million when Manchester United want Kudus to Old Trafford there is certainly a bigger price they have to prepare.
I think to settle the situation either of them involved have to leave and it’s definitely going to be Sancho because he's not bigger than the club nor coach and owe his coach some respect, therefore if he can't lower his ego and apologise to the manager then he's shouldn't be regarded as a Manchester United player, because disrespect for the manager is a disrespect to the club.
Jadon Sancho was a very good player at Dortmund no doubt but since he came into United, he hasn't contributed as much as expected for the team, hence the statement from the coach moreover theirs no way any coach would future a player when they're not performing well in the training, well let's wait till Jan to know the fate of Sancho, but i don't think it would be easy to bring in Kudus based on the fact that he just got signed by Westham this summer with a lengthy contract in his deal.
3434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 22, 2023, 10:12:46 AM

What Xabi Alonso has done at his new club is quite encouraging, at least that is what the club owner feels because his presence has provided good things and is enough to elevate Leverkusen to become an even better team, and what they have shown this season is quite surprising to many football fans because they have started very impressive season, Leverkusen just needs to be consistent with their current game, and hope that nothing bad happens such as player injuries which sometimes happen out of control, and when the transfer season opens again, hope they will further strengthen their team by buying the players needed to strengthen them because playing in the European league certainly requires good player rotation, but they are lucky enough to be the strongest team in the group so the opportunity to play in the knockout phase is wide open. However, breaking Bayern Munich's dominance is still quite difficult, but we will find out at the end of the season.
Five wins and 1 draw in 6 games so far is a very good record so far and i hope their performance remains consistent, because I'll really love Xabi Alonso to succeed at Leverkusen and turn into one of the finest coach in this era, however he's been very impressive and i know the fans would be very suprised at how he's transformed the club into on of the strongest in the league and even challenged Bayern Munich to maintain their position at  the top.

Xabi Alonso was also a good player and leader so i think that's why he'll likely be one of the most successful coach in the near future, he a serial winner that knows how to bring out the best in his players, Victor Boniface has got sux goals with an assist while Forian Wirtz has three goals and four assists, in six matches and the team has scored 25 goals and conceded only 5 under Alonso.
3435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: September 22, 2023, 09:30:57 AM

I think the coach actually thought that this was not a good result brought by him. I think he set up a standard for himself. And he was unable to deliver up to the standards. So he thought probably someone else might be able to do a better job compared to what he is doing right now. Right now the situation is not very good, to be honest. With the change of manager, it will definitely be hard for players to cope with the new tactics of new manager.

Will the new manager be able to bring good results? Only time will tell. But whatever the new coach does, he will have to bring better results compared to what the last coach was bringing.

I think he made the right choice because the team lost the Champions league play off under his control and he was not confident of himself to be successful at the club this season so instead of allowing them to suffer this season or him facing the embarrassement of being  sacked due to a poor performances he foresaw, he decided to resign for someone else to take over, and currently the team is managed by Pancho Abardonado, as an interim manager.

But come to think of it Marcelino's performance wasn't really bad cause they're currently unbeaten and are on the 3rd position in the table with 9 points just 2 points behind the current leaders Monaco, they're even above the league giants PSG so i wonder why he's decide to resign, well let's see what the interim manager brings to the team, if he'll be able to impress the board and secure a permanent job.

Friday's gossip:

Bayern Munich will compete with Real Madrid to sign Chelsea captain and England full-back Reece James next year. (Fichajes - in Spanish)
It looks like the competition is heating up for Chelsea's talented right-back.  Real Madrid seems really keen on him as their top choice to boost their defense in the upcoming transfer window. But Bayern Munich isn't backing down either and wants to bring the England international on board. It's going to be an interesting battle for sure!

Fulham manager Marco Silva admits he "cannot control" where Portugal midfielder Joao Palhinha's future lies, amid reports that Bayern Munich will pursue a deal for the 28-year-old in January. (Standard)

It would be quite tough to get the  Chelsea right back out of the EPL since he's their captain and plays an important role for the club, and since the competition for the player is by two big teams i don't think it's going to be cheap it Chelsea decides to cash in on him of course we know how the price inflates when it comes to English players, they could end getting him for a €100 plus well Reece James is a good player and one of the best In his position and would love to have an experience in a better team that would benefit his career more, so I think he'll pick Madrid over Bayern Munich.

Joao Palhinha extending his contract at Fulham will make Bayern to step up their offer if they're really interested in signing him by Jan, the player was a bit close to moving to Germany before the transfer deadline but a deal couldn’t happen due to some circumstances however if Bayern Munich are still interested in him they might have to pay higher than the initial fee now the player has extended his contract at Fulham.
3437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: September 22, 2023, 08:27:36 AM

yesterday match was a very fierce competition and very interesting in the second half because Romarinho was very good in his performance, replying to the goal to equalize only 8 minutes after Saadane scored. but unfortunately the match became a little boring in the second half, there was nothing interesting in the match because the two teams, Ittihad and Al Fateh, were like the same, only defending the back line and also had several opportunities to score additional scores but always failed.

Ittihad was able to take over first place in the SPL standings and it was all Al Hilal fault for not being able to secure victory even though the match was not against a strong team, even a team from the bottom of the standings and Neymar also did not perform optimally in yesterday match. I think Al Hilal final results yesterday made many bettors lose.
I love how the Saudi pro league is becoming tough and interesting, I friend of mine was said they're wasting their time by offering players huge salary to lure them into the league and that they'll end up like the Chinese league, but I told him last season to wait and see how the league is going to be transformed, especially with the introduction of Cristiano Ronaldo into the league, currently the league is gaining more popularity and attract  more players to join and not too long from now they'll be rated among one of the most interesting leagues.

The match was a very though one and Al-Ittihad are trying so well to maintain their position in the league as well as defending their title,I think it would be quite tough because they have a very serious competitor behind that's hoping they'll drop a point so as to take over Al-Ittihad's spot in the table.
3438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 22, 2023, 08:02:33 AM

I have the same theory about Manchester United and I think they will have better performance in the next games.
Because time after time the injured players will get recovered and they can use these players also Sacho's case will be solved and they will have better results in the Premier League.
When Ten Hag started the season I was expecting to see better performance than last season because this time gave the list of players and built the team but everything changed in a bad way for them.
The team would bounce back when all injured players are back then we'll begin to see the best of them again, Erik Ten Hag is not a bad coach, he's one of the best they've had so far and he's proven it last season, the team is facing difficult times and it's affecting everyone especially the manager, and trust me no manager would love to be in Ten Hag's situation, he faces different problems every week and left with little options.

However I expect the fans to be calm and trust the process because it's not easy for any manager to survive in their second tenure under the glaziers and that's become a tradition for the club after Sir Fergusons era, but one thing I'm sure of is that the team would bounce back and fans would begin to praise the manager once again, anyways I expect them to win against Burnley this week it shouldn't be a tough match for United.
3439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 21, 2023, 10:44:03 PM

Arsenal is sure making the premier league very competitive for Manchester city and although I can root for Manchester city to likely win the league this season, one thing is that the league never really ends until the last match. So upsets are expected to happen.
Arsenal could win. Chelsea could even awake from slumber to churn out fire in all their league matches and the truth is that no one really knows how the outcome of matches till the end of season will turn out to be.
If you notice Manchester City are the team in Epl with the best performance so far, and it seems like other top teams have given up the league for them, other clubs needs to stand up to City and not let them set a record that could take more than decades to be broken,  I think Pep Guardiola deserves more accolades because he's become an unstoppable genius in the Premier league and his team very scary to play against.

Arsenal last season where at the top around this time but they've failed to keep similar record this season anyways they're still very strong contenders this season  and have managed to secure the top four stop currently with just two points below the trophy defenders, City however Tottenham and liverpool have been so impressive so far and both have silmilar points with Arsenal on the table
3440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: September 21, 2023, 10:08:10 PM
In some examples of players, it is actually very easy for them to get a new club in Europe. But yes, back to the main issue, the salary given is less.

It's true that it's a fact that's hard to deny, money is the biggest motivation for former European star players to move there. Calculating retirement funds and trying new challenges for the remainder of his professional career, I think there is no problem with that. Basically, the move is equally profitable from a business perspective, the large expenses for providing players salaries will be covered by the income that will be obtained by the club that recruits them. I think clubs in Europe also apply the same policy in recruiting players, but prioritize young players because the league there is already competitive.

A solid foundation is not built in a hurry therefore I think it's too early to compare the Saudi pro league to the European league, because the European league has been there for decades even before Arabians pick Interest in developing their football  but the SPL on the other hand is on a gradual process and with the help of top European players that switched over to the league has improved it to a better standard.

The thing's majority of these  European players are there to make money while getting more playing time as well as a retirement plan for older players which is very beneficial for both club and players especially if he was top class during his prime like Cr7, Neymar,  Mane, etc. An d if you noticed most clubs that recruited more European players are the ones performing better than others.
