3421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you invest if it would also help those in need? on: May 01, 2021, 02:02:30 PM

Please let us know your honest feedback,

EDIT: Your feedbacks are extremely important therefore we're evaluating to decrease the transaction fee to 7%:

- 4% to the Charity Wallet
- 3% redistributed to the holders

Thanks

I think it's a good that you are taking input from the community. The new transaction fee sounds better, and giving a higher percentage to the Charity is a great too. India needs a lot of help right now. The pandemic will have huge negative impacts for whole country and economy. The corona numbers are going through the roof with no end insight. The international community should also step in and help out India, if we can do our part with a new project it is very honourable.
3422  Other / Archival / Re: Can everyone in the world find a job? on: May 01, 2021, 01:35:15 PM
Can everyone in the world find a job irl? If not, then what is the benefit of governments, banks, and economists in general?

I think everybody could find a job, but the better question is - Would everybody want to do the job they could get? Imagine you spend 5 years at university just so you can get a job as an assistant, would you take it? The tasks for the government, banks and economists is to so that country works a whole. I am not sure if we would ever achieve a 100% employment. As long as there are programs in place that will cover our expenses while we are unemployed, it makes it hard to justify working in jobs we don't want to do.
3423  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did you went insane because of lock down? what did you do to cope? on: May 01, 2021, 01:22:59 PM

Like me,  especially when you have a physician, a doctor in your family, and that doctor only believes you just can't go out with your friends which is not true for me because on my side I want them to understand me to know that what Iam experiencing is no joke.

My question is for you who may have experienced this.

1. What did you do to cope while you were in lockdown? if you are a student or working outside, employed please specify.

2. Or what did you or your family did every on lockdown? is there a family time game time?

For me it is very hard during the lockdown, it is going on for 6 months - everything is closed and it's just sad. Working from home and having no way to do things like before is so hard, I miss just going to a restaurant or cafe and meet some friends. One way for me to cope with this pandemic was to have regular Skype Calls with Friends and Family, we started to just call and drink a few beers in front of the camera. Game nights would be nice too, but we didn't try it yet.
3424  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: simple technique of selling high and buying low. on: May 01, 2021, 01:06:25 PM
profit taking will involve a trader to buy low and sell high. it sounds simple but it isnt. if not properly mastered you might miss a time to sell and a time to buy back and intervals to do this buying and selling. share your skills and techniques that can be used to achieve this.

I think this is what everybody tries to do, buy low, sell high, but the timing is very difficult in todays markets. Determining what is the best moment to buy or sell can be very very frustrating. That is probably also why so many people are looking for Technical Analysis and Chart Analysis. Personally I like to look at the moving average over the last 10 - 60 days and try to determine a bottom like that if there is change between them then it means there is either a big upwards or downward trend happening. Unfortunately this analysis is always backward looking, so I will never get the perfect spot to buy or sell, always a few days behind.
3425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You won today, but then you will lose often on: May 01, 2021, 12:52:42 PM
If you have been playing(gambling) for a long time and you happen to get a day to win some games I think anyone would want to push their luck to try chase those loses you had some time back Tongue to turn them into profits.

But like everyone says, the house always wins which is why losing is always guaranteed because greed follows winners and emotions follow loses who go all in to wipe out their account.

I think saying "The Casino always wins" is just there to make us feel better after losing. Because it is not true, there are plenty of people who won in the casinos and managed to take their profit and stop gambling. It all comes down to how good we control ourself and how good we have our emotions in check. Once we are in the green and won a few games then we start to feel that everything will be going into our favour. We keep focusing too much on the winnings and forget about the risks involved. I think one good way to try and focus more on a gambling is to work with limits for our weekly money we use for gambling.
3426  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto vs Stocks on: May 01, 2021, 12:39:56 PM

Which asset types do you think are better: crypto or stocks? Is crypto getting closer to becoming regulated just like stocks? What do you think will happen if institutional investors come into play? Will stocks transition themselves to the Blockchain? Or is it still too early to tell? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

I think there a some quite big differences between stocks and cryptos. For example, with stocks you tend to get dividends, so for HODL investors it is nice if you have a decent dividend return on your portfolio. While with cryptos we don't usually earn money during HODL, only when we sell the coins. Also institutional investors are already heavily invested into bitcoins, without their large wallets I wouldn't expect Bitcoin to be around 60,000 USD. So the more investors we see in the future, the higher price should be.
3427  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you can't be rich by owning crypto on: April 30, 2021, 04:12:01 PM
If you're talking about, why don't we get rich holding crypto? the answer I will give is how rich do you want to be because everyone has their own level of wealth. If you describe wealth as something you can buy without thinking about it. For me it is wrong because everyone has their own rich principles.

I agree with you, if rich means for you owning a house and a nice car than both of these things can be bought with crypto currencies. We can get a Tesla for one bitcoin, and there are people who sell their house for bitcoins. It all depends on how we define rich. If rich means owning a big company than this might be more difficult to achieve with crypto currencies.
3428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos: Internal notifications, message inbox vs Email. on: April 30, 2021, 04:04:18 PM
I noticed the same, rarely getting emails from the casinos. Most bonus information I receive directly at the casino,or in some update news. On top of that I noticed that in discord it is much easier to find out about upcoming freebies. It's a bit tricky for us gamblers to stay on top of all these news, but I can also understand the casinos. They want to reward gamblers who are active on their site.
3429  Economy / Economics / Re: Government policies help to grow the price of bitcoin on: April 30, 2021, 03:53:40 PM
Crypto currency round the world has come to stay, to foster growth in business and build trust among its users but most world leaders are head bent on tackling bitcoin by making difficult policies to affect its stability, but little do they know that this policies of theirs make bitcoin to become more influential among other crypto ,making it scarce and the most sought after crypto currency thereby making the few people that have it to hod and inflate the price to which ever amount they wish to sale on peer to peer bases...what do you think

I think that after the recent rally in the bitcoin market many governments realised how big the market really is. There is no way to fight it anymore, better to regulate and tax it. So most countries want to get a piece of the crypto pie. Which is a good thing. For us investors it is good to have more certainty about laws. With the correct framework we are protected more and can plan better for the future

3431  Economy / Economics / Re: Raising the stock market after Covid-19 on: April 30, 2021, 01:19:46 PM
A lot of people are already catching wind of this upheaval and are already investing their money back on potentially valuable stocks, some even as early as December last year. We can say that the COVID pandemic did a number on the stock market that it took a couple of months for recovery to even begin, but the important thing about this is the fact that we are recovering, so for the people out there, buy some stocks and bonds, diversify your assets and help the current economy grow while the cryptocurrency industry is biding its time.

I agree with you, diversifying our assets into stocks and bonds is a good idea. We can lower our overall risk profile from our portfolio through diversification. If we start buying stocks right now we should also think about some real estate funds. If the economy is picking up again it is likely that the property boom will continue. With real estate funds we might not have the upside like with stocks or cryptos, but the dividends are very high due to the rent payments.
3432  Other / Off-topic / Re: I wish you never end up like me. Turn 2fa on please! on: April 30, 2021, 01:00:46 PM
Sorry to read such a sad story. With your 10 BTC profit you could have easily bought a house to live in now. Just relying on an password is not enough in today's world. We need to take more steps to protect our self. I have been target of a scam myself in the past. First my email account was hacked, than the password to my gaming programs was changed and then I had no access at all anymore. It took me a long time to get everything back. And if I couldn't have been able to proof past purchases with my credit card, I would have never gotten in back.

3434  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I can never get my price :( on: April 29, 2021, 07:21:48 PM
Ok so I am fairly new to trading but all I'm trying to do is buy certain Crypto at certain prices. The trouble that I am having is basically the volatility of Bitcoin! One moment I'll put the Bitcoin equivalent of $2.00 USD as a Limit order on an exchange and go to bed then wake up the next morning to find it was bough at that Bitcoin price but not equivalent to $2.00 but more like $2.50 or $3.00 or sometimes $1.00. Am I doing something wrong or does everyone just deal with the inaccuracy of Bitcoin?

Working with limit orders is a good idea in my opinion. First of all I would look at the average trading prices over the last few days and then put an limit accordingly. If you find that your order is not getting filled the next day I wouldn't panic, just leave it for a few days and see if it is getting filled later. The thing with crypto currencies is that the average is much higher here, so we need to be prepared for a higher spread between bid and ask price too. The prices tend to move in cycles, so eventually the price should come down again to your initial bid.
3435  Other / Off-topic / Re: Living alone on Paradise Island on: April 29, 2021, 07:05:16 PM

I have some question for all of you Huh
1. Do you want live alone on island?
2. What will you bring with you to that island?
3. What is the positive / negative live alone on island?
4. How long you want living alone on Island?

1. Probably not, the lockdown during the pandemic is already painful enough
2. A lighter, matches, a knife, maybe an air matress
3. The worst thing of being alone on island is having nobody to talk too
4. I would get sad after two weeks probably
3436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being unpredictable on: April 29, 2021, 06:56:28 PM
Anyone there knows techniques or trick to avoid being easy to read?
Sometimes in the game of poker theory is not enough, but from experience losing and making changes (practice) can have good results in the future.

You are right, playing poker must have tricks and techniques to see the opponent's card, it is very difficult to explain here, without directly involving in the game.

Sometimes google provides a little description of the practice of doing poker betting tricks and techniques, for that this way: 9 Basic Poker Strategy Tips for Beginners, can add a little knowledge in determining the direction of the game of poker, at least to be better than before.

The most important thing about poker is that we shouldn't change our strategy because we lost one hand, or in one night. It can take a few hundred hands for our strategy to fully show itself. Keeping track of our winnings is very important, a past hand analysis should also be done whenever possible. To remain unpredictable the best idea is to play a large range of hand similar. If we play AK the same way we plat 910 suited than it will be very hard for our opponents to put us on an exact hand.
3437  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing only for the rich? Think again on: April 29, 2021, 06:23:30 PM
To begin with, investing is not just for the wealthy; everyone can do it if they have the funds and are willing to buy crypto and hodl it. Actually, we can still diversify our capital, even if it's just a few hundred dollars; we can still make a profit, but it won't be as big. Consider what happens if you put all of your money into one coin and it makes a lot of money, even if it's just a small amount.

Actually, if you've invested in a right and future coin, even if it's just 20 dollars, you can hit some x100 secret gems in defi.

I agree, investing can be done by anybody and in any sizes. The rich people might have better opportunities and more help when investing but this doesn't guarantee success. If we do our own research and save on a monthly basis we can build up a portfolio over time. Like you said, putting 20 dollar in a crypto project is a good start. If we put the same amount in stocks, and maybe 10 USD just in bond fund, than we could grow a decent portfolio over time. The most important thing about portfolio management is to have reasonable expectations about the returns we can achieve. Getting 10% return per year would already be a good goal for the start in my opinion.
3438  Other / Off-topic / Re: Buying a Dog on: April 29, 2021, 05:55:57 PM
I am planning to buy a pet dog. What is the best breed to buy? My friends told me that it is best for me to have a Labrador or Pitbull coz I am big. Any other suggestions?

Dogs are great, I prefer them over cats any day. From the two breds I would prefer a Labrador. In my family we always had dogs. Usually we go to a dog shelter and look for a young dog. It is kind of sad in which conditions they are living there. It is good to give a home to those poor dogs. If you treat them with love, they will love you back unconditionally.
3439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I Predict $20,000 for dogecoin in 5years time on: April 29, 2021, 05:54:06 PM
Dogecoin has been different kinds of low level names in the past and in the present but the altccoin seem to have woken up to prominence and maybe it could keep sustaining the move as some altccoins like bnb, xrp, Ada, ethereum have done. Despite the name calling, the growth of dogecoin has really gone pass many so called promising coins and it is now at the 7th spot in crypto ranking.

Therefore, maybe dogecoin can get to $20,000 and above in 5 years time  Grin Grin just like this user predicted the price of bitcoin in the beginning

That is a pretty bold prediction. I don't think that Doge Coin is going to rise so high. Such kind of returns would be insane to be honest. There are no real alt coins trading at such high levels. And then if we want to sell for 20.000 USD we would need some buyers of course. Would be nice if we make a Tip Game for the Doge Coin price in 1 or 2 years.
3440  Economy / Economics / Re: How a digital EURO may look like on: April 29, 2021, 02:15:09 PM
If they don't make their digital currencies anonymous I fail to see how people are going to like it. Maybe I am just too old but it doesn't seem like such a good deal. Traditional fiat currency can already be transfered within seconds,on top of that we can use payment services like PayPal to shop online. And für investing I would assume that investors are still going to prefer independent crypto currencies that are not controlled by central banks. To me it doesn't really matter if its the yuan euro or dollar. Bitcoin and ETH are going to be the future.
