Any what CGminer is your Minera running?
It is running CGminer 4.8 and i compiled it with --enable-icarus

Hmm :/ Got another power brick to test with? That's a reasonably strong bet.

No i have just the one it comes with Sad Any other options?

Not really, need additional parts to test what you have. Else you can RMA.

Good job, trolls.

Quote
In this and next month, we are busying deliver the preorders. Avalon4 moudle will continually have small upgrade in early 2015, 0.3w/GHs on the wall and 0.3$/GHs with margin is a short-term goal.

So if your target is $0.3/gh at 0.3 w/gh, why are you charging $0.7/gh for 0.7w/gh?

Seems this isn't really an attempt to sell to home miners, but an attempt to rip off a few.

He said in Q1 2015, new chips. And its $0.5/gh.

Hey guys got mine now running for 24/7. I'm using a Raspberry Pi and as OS Minera. It keeps the mining process running and is monitoring the antminer. After all i still get only 20-40 GH/s !  Sad Any ideas on how to get it to the advertised 63GH/s. It is directly connected with the pi, i'm using the power source from antminer and i added an cooler to the bottom.

What parameters are you running? Screenshot?

Using this parameters:
Code:
sudo cgminer -o eu-stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -u x -p x --api-listen --api-network

Do you need more information?

And what CGminer is your Minera running?

Hey guys can anyone post the CE certificate for  s4. Thanks

Where are you seeing a CE mark?
At least in the S4 product description:
Quote
* Certificate Compliance: FCC/CE

Without CE mark they would not have been allowed to be imported into Europe (although I do not have a S4 to check this right now)

CE also = China Export. All the CE marks on S3 and S4 are China Export.

://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CE_marking

I can link to wikipedia to?

Coming up on 24 hours since I sent a email to AM and just like the other countless times I have sent them emails there has been no reply.

For all of you praising AM, this is the third time compensation has been promised. The deal looks great and they have managed to make many of you think they are a great company standing behind their products and taking care of their customers but there is no follow through. Just a bunch of empty promises.

Do you exactly expect them to file and respond to 1000 emails in a day? Its just PB being bombarded with emails, give him a chance to work through them. I received a response late last night.
3508  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: December 12, 2014, 01:06:16 PM
Is it possible to overclock the C1?

If the frequency changes, does the voltage also need to be changed?

Yes and yes. You will officially lose your warranty if you overclock, but you may be able to get a reasonable overclock. Efficiency will go out the window and you'll need sizeable PSU headroom though.
3509  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: December 12, 2014, 01:05:17 PM
Received my C1 yesterday with watercooling kit.  Set it up today.  No problems initially, pump not leaking (could all these leaking pumps be due to overfilling?  The instructional video seems to show the pump being filled to the very top, but when the liquid heats up it expands, if it's completely filled where is it going to expand to?  Might be something to consider to fill it less full, so the air in it can compress when it heats up.  I've completely filled mine so I'm thinking about removing some fluid).  Did have 2 of the radiator fans connected to one header as others have pointed out.  My fan/pump power cables are connected to a PCI 6-pin power adapter that instructions state to connect to one of the open ones on the C1 which is new to me.
Anyway after doing some initial setting it was hashing, but went to log in to change something and was unable to.  Get the Antminer C1 screen but no request to login and all blank.  Tried the 10 second on the rest button and power recycle but same results.  Looks like the SD card image might have become corrupted as happened with many others.

EDIT:
I was able to get it working with HDD Raw Copy Tool reflashed to the SD card with the image BitMain linked me to in an e-mail, but it was the old firmware so when I upgraded the firmware I got the same blank AntMiner screen.  So I'm reflashing the SD card to get it working and hoping for a link to the image file with the new firmware included.

I fill them right up to the very top and then screw on the brass screw cap just enough so if any pressure builds it can release from there. And no evaporation issues. This has worked best for me.

The ideal is you leave it capless until you get up to steady state running, then close the cap.
3510  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: December 12, 2014, 01:03:54 PM
To those of you who are having problems logging into the web interface on C1, try clearing the web browser's cache first. If you had accessed another Antminer (s3, s4, etc...), your browser's cache interferes with access to C1. Delete your browser's cache, then restart your browser or your computer and try the ip address again.

Or don't use Internet Exploder.  It's renowned for cache issues.

Fixed

Ok....I got the following emails from Bitmain...

   Hi,
Please change the pool difficulty settings to a higher value to try, more than 2048.

   Best Regards

   BITMAIN

   2014-12-11 19:05 GMT+08:00 Bitmain Tech <info@bitmaintech.com>:
   Hi,
After you change the pool, have you restarted the miner?
Please try with more pools, the issue is strange and I've also forwarded it to engineers to check.
please try to do more test with different pools.
   Thanks.

I responded as follows:

    Sir,

    I have tried the following:

    1.   Three different pools (antpool, bitminter, btcguild)
    2.   I have adjusted the difficulty on two of the pools (btcguild, bitminter)
    3.   I have restarted using the menu after changing the pools
    4.   I have unplugged the miner after changing the pools

Please find below an excerpt from a forum board discussion I have been having with your representative “Dogie”

    (deleted for brevity)

I have tried his suggestions as well with no solution.  He suggested that the controller needs to be replaced.  If that is the case how is this done and how quickly.  I am sure you understand the importance that
time has on mining.  This miner has been down for 2 days now and I’m losing BTC.

    Please advise.  Thank you.

Soooo....that's where I am at the moment...

Can you send me a ticket number please? Or PM me your email.
3512  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Closed] Legendaries review party of Spondoolies-Tech's SP20 on: December 12, 2014, 01:00:26 PM
I don't need to do a temp test from the window, I can SEE it lol:

You live in a graveyard?   Huh
Those miners can be loud... careful they don't raise the dead.

*Careful they don't mask the sound of the dead being raised.
I'll be overclocking it with two CX750's as long as it's not too noisy. Judging from the snowfall out there, the holiday season should be perfect for some mining to heat up everything. Smiley

My old friend, I am sorry in advance Tongue A minor underclock and you should be okay to lower the 80% fan down.

Cry Not even if I point it at the frigid air outside? It's been some time since I mined after the days of FPGA's and GPU's, so I'm not too sure what to expect here.

Its a 30W fan at 100%, compared to your usual fan of ~2W. This is big boy mining now Tongue

Ok so Bitmain has stopped single sales of S4's , only pallets of 16 left. And the current coupons expire on the 15th.  Maybe they are going to start sales of the S5 on Monday? 1Th  $375-400 750PSU needed is my guess. Any takers?

Single B2 sales of S4 available on Bitmain site again. Could they be dumping remaining S4 stock for S5 release since FC announced their new chip today?

Still likely 50 days away from chips in hand and longer for miners. Its a bit premature to post that stage of chip testing, unless he went on the chip orders without seeing test results which is really unlikely.

my guess is the S5 will be just a lot more chips jammed into the S3 size, such that they run around 600Gh/400W, at basically the same price as the S3+ right now. Its unlikely they will have a next-gen chip for some time, probably similar timeframe (jan/feb) as both spondoolies and asicminer

Unicorns all round! Nothing has been announced about S5 chips, ST has said nothing about next gen past "it'll be good" a month or so ago and ASICMiner is still likely months and months out.

So im setting up a farm with (20) S3+ B11 with a 24 port 10/100/1000 router. I have set them all on individual static ip. My question is: I mine altcoins mostly. Its REALLY time consuming to go in 20 times over and change the pool. Is there any way to change the pool ONCE, and affect them all? Also my firmware is back from August on all of them. Should I upgrade them all to antMiner_S320141126.bin? I heard the latest firmware slows speed to double digits. If this is not the best/fastest/stable one, which firmware is? Is there a modded unofficial firmware? I do alot of multipools too.

Vegas

Leave the latest firmware for now. There is a software program (see the other subforum) which will allow you to control your S3s from one place.

AVALON is here to stay I get it... All that matters these days are prices, and that it is not a pre order. There is simply no reason to buy from Avalon when other companies sell gear for cheaper.

As quoted by their own spokesman there is no point to buying this product.

"I know there are a number of instock products on the market with better $/GHs on pricing."

You going to actually quote me or you just going to make stuff up?
3518  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner BE300S Samples Arrived, <0.2W/G Achieved at Board Level on: December 12, 2014, 09:34:26 AM
I think something small like Rock Miner did was pretty cool (the 100GH unit). Maybe make a pod like Bitmain...something that does not require a computer PSU to run.
The problem is that there may not be widely available high efficiency power bricks.

Competing with 70% efficiency bricks agains professional miners with 92% efficiency PSUs is hard.

look into, i think Delta's, laptop/desktop external PSUs, they hit the 87-90% but they are a higher voltage DC.
There is also nothing wrong with using a PCIe power adaptor off a desktop internal PSU

There is if the aim is a starter device. To us the idea of paperclip jumping an ATX PSU is second nature, to newbies it's daunting.

I should say that I don't own any of the machines I mentioned. From from what I read the old Prisma's have been recalled yes, but the new ones that they are selling have significant changes and work fine

As to products being near end of life, why does that matter they are available now.  I could have added several more to the list I was merely illustrating that everything else is cheaper and the avalon has no advantages that make it worth more.

If avalon had a long standing history of delivering excellent machines at good prices with first class support then maybe you could argue that would be worth a little extra (as happens with spondoolies).  Sadly the old avalon was rubbish and cost lots of people money, and the new avalon haven't delivered anything worth buying by normal consumers as it's arrived later than all it's competitors and always been more expensive.

I was clarifying what ngzhang was trying to put across, which is CC isn't going to play the 'lets lose money on every sale' game when competitors are only temporarily offering deals that good. CC is in it for the long haul, not the short sprint to clear stock.

Prisma is being retired / recalled, I wouldn't include that. SP20s and S4s may be EOL'ed in the near future [speculation and speculation].
