3561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Naoya Inoue vs Michael Dasmarinas June 19 on: May 15, 2021, 09:20:39 PM
There is still no given date when this fight will land but this is a sure fight not to be missed,

The thread starter has updated the title to June 19, and you may have missed his early post as well, a few post above.

@bisdak40 - you are right, Bob Arum will not simply put Inoue against Casimero, high risk that he might lose one of his cash cow in Top Rank. They are slowly building him up, just like what they did to Manny Pacquiao's career.

Oh sorry, I haven't noticed the title that the fight is going to be on June 19 well that's going smooth and I think that it's going to be a bloody fight in my opinion, even though Naoya didn't have enough record fight than Dasmarinas the fighters that he put down is really something to look for, and Kudos for Nonito Donaire for giving a Decision outcome and hanging on until the end,

I really wish to see the Inoue Naoya VS John Riel Casimero fight aswell but that has to wait and Naoya should not underestimate Dasmarinas because after watching the highlights of Dasmarinas he can sure put a fight against Naoya no doubt about it.

The Inoue vs Casimero is put to shelve for now.

And I agree that Inoue shouldn't underestiamate Dasmarinas, he is also a champion and defended the belt multiple times so he is no pushover here. I've also seen highlights of Dasmarinas, he is pretty solid with some defense. And se has some serious pop with that left so I don't think that this fight will go to the scorecard, we will see some serious knock out in this fight.

Every opponent of Inoue will be underestimated especially that they are not champions, the guy is really good and on the list of pound-for-pound fighters in the world. It will be a big upset if Dasmarinas will win in this fight and I really like the support of the Filipinos here as they still believe that Dasmarinas would win against the monster.

The fight is nearing, I hope Dasmarinas is fully condition in this fight as this would be the toughest match of his life.
3562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 15, 2021, 09:11:53 PM
It's going to be a longgggg playoff run for the Lakers if they will play in the play-in tournament.

But that would be so interesting because we will be seeing a tough journey for the Lakers just to get in the playoffs, and if they will win a back-to-back championship, this would be a good recognition again for them again. I just really hope Lebron is 100% when he comes back as the Lakers really need him to activate his beast mode. I have no doubt they will win in the play-in tournament but I think it's not easy for them to win in the WCF now.
3563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You won today, but then you will lose often on: May 15, 2021, 04:18:39 PM
Gambling is a Killer, mean this will kill what ever you desire .

You can count in fingers those who can make their target win and the majority? Losses almost all their funds.

experience will teach you everything , but only if you can adjust from everything you gain and lose.
the most important thing so you can profit from gambling is to be able to control yourself.  when you win big try to stop playing and continue tomorrow.  many gamblers who lost are those who are greedy and don't want to stop playing until the capital is completely depleted.

Trust me, if you have good self-control then you don't think gambling is a killer.
If we don't control ourselves from addiction, it is clearly be going to that way. But I don't let myself be like that and as long as we are still in control of our minds, it is too far from happening. It should be in limitation and we have to consider and think this every time we gamble.

And the other thing is that we don't have to chase our losses because this is a common reason why we make ourselves out of control.
3564  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: reasons for bad trading on: May 15, 2021, 03:40:06 PM
Everyone should understand that trading is very difficult if you don't understand this. Just looking into what OP had said, these things are a sort of barrier and hindrances that a trader must have to win. Nobody could help us with this but just our own.

Because no matter how many strategies you have but these all make no sense if you have a problem within yourself. What we do will it depend on our mindset and if we have a positive one, the chances are big. But most of the time it becomes more challenging as we are also influenced by our emotions.
3565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: May 15, 2021, 03:11:45 PM
I do gamble, I bet on sports but not signature earnings, part of another income source is allocated for that lol. These goes to my shitcoin portfolio, I exchange them on pancakeswap into various baby coins and hodl.
It is good if you have another source of income to be used for playing gambling. But you still need to aware of the limitations of using the money to gamble because we never know when we win and lose. If you can do that, you will not have to worry about losing too big money as you can know when you should quit gambling before you run out of your money. But at this moment, I think it is better if you can stop gambling for a while because I see that some coins in the pancakeswap can increase so you can expect to make a profit from that coins.
The temptation is too high when you have a lot of money to gamble that sometimes we forgot about our limitations. It is very unfortunate turning that way. I have an experience before that I spend my budget for my school's obligation due to gambling addiction. And I was thinking it now, to figure out what certainly be the effect when you can't control your addiction, you can find it how could ruin your life. It is a terrible thing to see and that I realize is very important to control ourselves and stay on the limit. Gambling shouldn't have to take seriously because that could lead to addiction.

3566  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another Halving, Another ATH on: May 15, 2021, 02:32:13 PM
Well, I just realized that some bitcoin halvings, always have a boost for each increase. like, in 2016, the bitcoin halving happened, but the rise in bitcoin price also coincided with the popularity of ICOs, and it pushed bitcoin and altcoins to reach the new ATH. whereas this year, the new ATH was supported by halving as well as Tesla and made bitcoin and many altcoins reach the new ATH. however, if the halving occurs again in the future, and there is great support from investors, then ATH could just be achieved. however, it all depends on the conditions.
Halving has a positive impact on the market and prices turn Bullish and it usually happens almost a year after halving. That is why many investors come to crypto during halving as they are thinking about easy profit next to this. I don't mind who is supporting with the pump but I was sure the market skyrocketed after that, and mostly it happens that prices cross high on the previous ATH. Might we are thinking of the same scenario this coming halving and many were preparing for that.
3567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Altseason ? on: May 15, 2021, 09:16:00 AM
I think we are already reaching the ATH for both Bitcoin and altcoins, so much hopes that dumps couldn't be the next trend but sadly, some altcoins are already there. And even Bitcoin is dropping back below $50k.

Many are still waiting for the upcoming altcoin season, but we should also consider the situation that the altcoin season is already over. This will only be visible after a while, then it will be clearly visible that the coins have already reached their high and now their price is constantly decreasing.
Meme coins are tend to dump early but those legit seems to stand still and continue to move high. I'm still keeping some of my altcoins while selling those coins that I see it was on the decline. I mean, I was anticipating the bullish ends.

3568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla no longer accepts Bitcoin payments on: May 15, 2021, 07:20:18 AM
I think Elon is manipulating the market. He rely on his popularity and influence to adjust the market to bring him profits. Tesla announces Bitcoin acceptance and soon put the information to stop accepting payment by Bitcoin. He is trying to bring the market down to gather many bitcoin as possible.
And he might believes himself that everyone will follow him but that is not the thing I saw. Many people are still standing away from Elon and ignore him. He never do good in crypto, he just only makes people to suffer losses.
And now that Tesla confirm of not accepting Bitcoin as payment, people and investors might laughing at him. At to figure it out that Elon Musk is just a joke in crypto. It soon to happen that nobody would like to hear his announcement and even to read his tweets.
3569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which crypto should I invest? on: May 14, 2021, 11:25:44 PM
But there is cryptocurency ''safemoon''

So is the safest investment to get rich?
don't bet your funds on hype altcoins, safest investment only in Bitcoin.  imo the crypto market is in setback, meme coins are becoming the prima donna.  greedy investors hunt for coins like this only want to be rich in 1 night.  The "dog" coin and the "safe" coin are the champions of shitcoin this year.
I hope that OP has to realize the risk that he wants to face after chasing x10, x100 profit from a new project like what he had mentioned. Putting eggs into a single basket could be very risky, unless if he is investing in Bitcoin.
What he gonna do now is to listen to what is the majority have said, but of course, it was his decision. Many had fallen to wrong decisions because they are too blind not to see what is right and what is wrong.
3570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has the world become greedier since BTC? on: May 14, 2021, 11:10:37 PM
For me everything has been changed because of how fast things are on the internet,
People became greedier, lazier , and of course smarter I think we have been overwhelmed by how easy things has been because of the technology and it is the result of it all.
Wait, you forgot that many had suffered losses because of being greedy. They'll think that they can make an instant return in here, they got rushing, jumping on the boat that they never know is likely they are helping themselves to lose their money. But, we have to accept these changes, it is a part of technology upgrade and people would find themselves comfortable with this change.
3571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Elon musk launches his own coin? on: May 14, 2021, 10:48:46 PM
The name and personality of Elon musk has been trending lately, for good and bad reasons. Some blame him for the recent down in price of btc with his recent tweet, some suspect that he has a plan to manipulate the market to the favour of doge coin which he has recently been a strong advocate for.

What if Elon musk takes this opportunity of popularity and influence to start and launch his own coin to the market?

Do you think an altcoin created by Elon musk will do well in the market?
He can do that if he wants, maybe Teslacoin or EMCoin...but the question if the community will buy that idea since the people now are quite doubtful of what he does this time. Because what I can say about EM is that he is just making fun of crypto, I'd never see his sincerity in adopting crypto in fact he announces that Tesla never accepts Bitcoin nor he says that it will accept other cryptos. Maybe we are right speculating that he will create his own coin in the future exclusively for Tesla only.
3572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: May 14, 2021, 01:25:22 PM
But on my end I prepare some balance since I want to bet on certain teams which currently have a great advantage to wim since they have strong roosters.
Good luck mate, hopefully, we will have a profitable season. I enjoyed watching PBA more than watching NBA, I love to support what's our and ever since I was a kid I'm already a fan of PBA but I just don't have the opportunity to bet that time, now, it's very easy to bet so I won't waste this opportunity.
There's no other popular sports league in the Philippines, so we have no choice but to like the PBA. Maybe I'm not as old as you. lol.. but I've been loving the PBA, I love it, even more, when I learn how to bet on it, and good thing that we have a thread here where we can see daily updates even PBA season has not commenced yet.

By the way, here's the result of the poll so far.

Quote
What team will win the PBA 2021 All Filipino Conference?
1. Barangay Ginebra - 4
2. SMB -1
3573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: May 14, 2021, 12:49:40 PM

Rigo only lost once in his career, if Casimero has the same power as Loma, then probably we can expect a KO or TKO in the later rounds. Also, if Casimero would win by KO, he will be compared to LOMA because they are the only fighters who beat Rigo, and this will result in a big recognition again which makes Casimero more popular.

That is correct, he lost against LOMA and that's okay because LOMA was a good fighter and he was the favorite that time.

here are the betting odds for that fight. https://www.oddsshark.com/boxing/vasyl-lomachenko-vs-guillermo-rigondeaux-betting-odds

Quote
Vasyl Lomachenko -325
Guillermo Rigondeaux +250

Maybe we will see the same in this fight being Casimero as the favorite.

I guess this is too much, Rigondeaux will be the underdog, that's for sure but Casimero will not get -325 as he is not as popular as Lomachenko. Let's just wait for the betting odds, the earlier we bet the better as we might see the best odds for Casimero if you guys are backing him to win.
3574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I swap my BTC to altcoins and hold for better benefits? on: May 13, 2021, 11:36:11 PM
I am surprised you only invest in a single coin. Most people invest in some crypto coins because it can optimize the chance to earn bigger profits. Bitcoin is good for investment, but trying to get more profits from altcoins deserves to try, buddy! Also, it is an altcoin season, why don't join it. Wink

It got some reasons, many were doing that but we are already in the peak season and I feel worried if the market will dump and altcoins will fall badly. Maybe if this has been made earlier before it reaches the peak price, I believe that was more profiting but for now, it is a big risk to be taken. That seems to be a suicidal action to be made.
I hope people doing this will even succeed but I don't suggest selling all of our Bitcoin, it seems to be safe if you just save half of it while the others are for altcoins.
3575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MemeCoins becoming the new Shitcoins on: May 13, 2021, 11:04:26 PM
Well, it wasn't to wonder why it goes like that, they'll going to pump and later on, they'll be going to sleep forever. Because without Bullrun, I don't know if there is someone who has seen them.

As the crypto market growing and keep spreading, many people would like to create meme coins for fun and looks like many innocent investors had fallen into that. Maybe we have to add this category for MEMECoins/projects like how ICO/IEO, Defi, NFT made so we are confident that they can't get a victim anymore.
3576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: May 13, 2021, 02:02:49 PM
There will be no pint of continuing with bitcoin gambling when bitcoin values in million dollars and transaction fees are in hundreds of dollars.

The same argument was used a few years ago when Bitcoin reached a value of $ 20 k for the first time, and maybe even before that. Nevertheless, many people still use bitcoin for gambling.

The real issue is not really the price of bitcoin but the transaction fee. Well, sometimes the transaction fee is really high but most of the time it's reasonable, that's why maybe most of the casinos or no casinos have implemented the LN system yet.

Quote
And who's to say casinos won't implement LN payments or other sidechain transactions in the future?

50/50 chances, because they have a new alternative to solve the high fees, and that is adding altcoins as a payment method.
3577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 13, 2021, 01:26:38 PM
If the Lakers and Blazers ended up with identical records, Blazers will get the 6 spot, because they got the tie break on the strength of their winning against the Lakers:

Head to Head this season:

May 8 - 106-101 Portland wins
Feb 27 - 93-102 Lakers wins
Dec 28 - 115-107 Portland wins

I think Portland also owns the tie break against the Mavs.

So, this is how they are going to break the tie? Thanks for this, i thought it's the quotient system.

Though the Blazers have the tougher opponents on their last two games but i think they are really inspired playing ball and i think they can get one win on these last two games.
It should be an interesting last 2 games for the Blazers, I will keep an eye on them and I will bet on them to win. For sure they are the underdog on against these two giants, so that would given us some great odds to bet.

Portland is 2.70 at the moment, what do you think of this odds?
3578  Economy / Speculation / Re: What make people panic sell? on: May 12, 2021, 11:08:10 PM
Worries and temptations...

They are worried about what if the market will dump and miss the opportunity.
They are somewhat tempted by the price and sell while the market is still hot.

Not totally it defines panic selling but it is just the people, investors and holders wanted to take such an opportunity at once it comes into their life. Nobody sees the future and so they'll be taking that chance before it will go.
3579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA, why no pump yet on: May 12, 2021, 10:43:46 PM

source: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/iota/

I felt so bad with IOTA and it is very surprising how it turns like this despite that most of the old coins are pumping but this coin left behind.
How it becomes very unfortunate? I think there is a problem with the developer or this project might have already abandoned.

But anyway, I don't see this coin worth for investment, may the others as well. So, it finds no reason why it has to pump if no one else sees it or the project developers themself don't care about this anymore. This is their responsibility actually, not us. Nothing will happen if they don't take action and make use of the situation to help it pump.
3580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 12, 2021, 01:39:58 PM

Six games for tomorrow but i have my eyes locked on the Blazers vs Jazz game. Must win for the Blazers to avoid getting drag into the number 7 spot. Would the Jazz give this game to them?  Grin

Yeah, it will be an interesting game, Blazers on a needed win, I don't think that the Jazz will give them the game. So I would say Dame will not let this one, yeah +3.5 @1.88.

This is the most interesting game tomorrow, I'm riding with the Blazers as well, not only the +3.5 but the Moneyline odds as well.

2.10 odds for the Blazers, not bad right? Actually, you can get 2.21 using price odds.   Grin
