Proper new site is nearly finished and twitter has been very active -> now over 600 followers! Expect site to be polished and up early next week. Found an exciting use for CARB and pleased to report I really believe this could be the next big thing.

Zebedee23 is correct about the need for a mac wallet. Although if we find someone who can check over the code surely that person could compile the wallet too. it's a 5 minute job to anyone with the knowhow. When we release the new site i really feel someone will do it for free, so if we dont have one by the end of next week then we should look to paying for one.

Having taken part in many of the basic scrypt copies from launch, specifically the ones exploiting the "total number of coins ever" to gain exposure at coinmarketcap, despite not adding any value technologically speaking, it occurred that there was a need for a speculative coin that would not have to come back down because of being absurdly over-supplied.

If/when this coin takes off it will not have to come back down, and this is directly because of the rapid halving.

384 billion coins was rather aggressive; that didn't stop that particular coin peaking at 39 satoshis before coming all the way back. The same mathematics places this A LOT higher than 39 satoshis. Might be worth getting hold of some just in case, no?

At this point you can get 1% of the TOTAL COINS EVER on Cryptorush for 1.6 BTC. I can't help but think that this will not be the case for very long. It is very risky indeed, BUT so was bitcoin, litecoin etc... That's more than the whole premine!

What happens to this coin is what is going to make it important. Once the circulation has dropped the tx fees will be such that the network will be taken care of and by that time anyone who gets in now should be very happy to pay them.

As far as plans go, a medium for value creation, wealth redistribution and value transfer has been made. I for one will be spending my time ensuring the network is as healthy as it is humanly possible for me to make it, given the restrictions I have to operate within.

If it works we have the king of disruptive currency; if it doesn't, I am happy to say I have tried. If you would like to help in any way I would be very grateful for any support you can give. We could really benefit from having a Mac wallet compiled, as well as promoting this thread above that of the original, so people accessing info via google get up to date information about where the community is, and what this is becoming.

There is still a very large proportion of the network mining on the hashrapid pool. If this remains the case then it will be difficult for the coin to grow in value rapidly. If you are mining there PLEASE DIVERSIFY to other pools. When the network is stable with each pool having significantly less than half the network hashrate I expect to see the value go up 10 times at least - and that is rather more important than an increased liklihood of a block bonus!

If you have any questions about why this is so important please ask. I hope anyone reading this and mining on the largest pool sees sense. There are several other proven and reputable pools listed at the top of this thread. I have tried to contact the hashrapid admin but to no avail. We need to take action on this urgently

There are two pools on the network doing 8MH/s carbon.basshash.com and carbon.scryptominers.com both of these are FINDING BLOCKS and reporting good efficiency. Either of these with another 6-8MH will have the SAME EFFICIENCY

There is NO REASON to join the largest pool - all you do is make the coin less attractive to investors. I have messaged who I believe is the pool admin for hashrapid asking him to restrict registrations but AS A NETWORK we really need to step up here, come on people!

It's a good idea to have loads of pools for when there is a real mining rush on. As a community we really do need to address the fact that the majority of miners are using hashrapid, this is not good for the network at all and actually a bit irresponsible. Anyone know who the hashrapid admin is?

Totally agree with Steve there. The way I see it is we haven't done anything to the coin, there has been no hostile takeover we have just formed new nodes for the community in his absence.

It could go either of two ways, either the dev's 0.9% bounty as stated on the previous thread remains unspent, and when he comes back online he can ask me to whom it is due for the blockchain, new website, twitter etc and then we can get working on making it great together or, in a darker situation, he has offloaded the premine after the first launch, somewhere below the peak of 6 satoshis, and snuck away into the night. In the unhappy case of the latter, we will not be hearing from him again and we can all look forward to the day when we can laugh at him for selling out at a fraction of the value. Initially we failed to fly because of the lack of blockchain, and now we have one of those, carbonchain.net , which you can support by mining at carbon.basshash.com - the point being this is very probably the most undervalued coin out there!

I remain hopeful that the dev gets back in touch but either way it does not matter - if he has dumped then we are in a rare situation where if you want access to the "premine" you can go to an exchange and buy it. This is rather better than the various "pay for" launches!
