362  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best antivirus? on: August 29, 2014, 06:37:12 PM
I use ESET Endpoint, and free version of malwarebytes. They may not be the best, they saved me several times.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lego Bitcoin Project - Sign up and support so the set becomes real! It's free! on: August 29, 2014, 04:28:37 PM
Interesting concept  Cheesy

But no kid would want to buy this set if it goes to market. This will either be a complete flop or it's going to be a collector's item.
364  Other / Off-topic / Re: See the hidden image? on: August 29, 2014, 04:16:22 PM
Oh I see it now... You have to sort of cross your eye and squint a little bit. Quite clever actually. Thanks for the tip.
365  Economy / Speculation / Re: Scientist predicts world stock market collapse in 3 months on: August 29, 2014, 04:13:10 PM
The article did not say much about why he thinks this triple top is inevitable, will watch the video later. I am more interested in his argument than whether it will come true.

What are we supposed to see from these random patterns?
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hal Finney passed away Thursday morning on: August 29, 2014, 10:35:44 AM
I do not know who he is until I googled him. Didn't know Satoshi had a beta test partner during development. Rest in peace Hal.
368  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Bitcoin Wallet? on: August 29, 2014, 10:32:58 AM
For small change, I use blockchain.info wallet service and electrum. Electrum do not download the blockchain and is secure enough for most people
369  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining revenue x5 after switching to a different mining pool, possible? on: August 29, 2014, 05:36:14 AM
Very clever Tripple Pool promo Cash... So, do you have your own mini pool there or you are part of the team?

I think you are right. Post sounded like an ad more than a genuine question. Different pools have different returns, but usually not by this much.
370  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Robots to teach in Abu Dhabi school on: August 28, 2014, 08:09:05 PM
Teaching is not only about showing how to do things, it is also about assessing the child's strength, weaknesses, understanding and change teaching methods accordingly. How could a robot do that? A robot teacher is just like watching a video.
371  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lets get one thing straight: there will NOT be a run-up anytime soon on: August 28, 2014, 07:07:44 PM
What do you mean by "soon"? A few weeks? Or a few months? I expect some good news by the end of the year that will help bitcoin regain the $700 level.
372  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining isn't so effective in the past 24h? on: August 28, 2014, 07:03:01 PM
Btcguild hasn't been very lucky. Only managed to mine one or two blocks per hour. I assume other pools has been luckier.
373  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we love the rich and hate the poor on: August 28, 2014, 11:40:33 AM
That is why governments pass laws to benefit the rich, so they make more money and bribes the government with taxes. It is the same with any other country.
374  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How much coin are you making from signature ad campaigns? on: August 28, 2014, 10:21:15 AM
Most members make 0.05 to 0.1 btc per month. Some members on pay per post campaign could make a lot more. I suspect those who bought accounts could earn more than 0.2 per month.
375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long are we going to pretend? on: August 28, 2014, 10:15:44 AM
In my mind, it will always be an experiment since there will always be parts that will need improving. Market cap and adoption is a measurement of how successful this experiment is.
376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people price things in fiat but want BTC - choose one or the other on: August 28, 2014, 08:58:32 AM
Most people don't have a sense of value when things are priced in bitcoin. In order to show a shop is cheaper, they need to quote in fiat so consumers can compare prices without conversion.
377  Other / Off-topic / Re: Wich phone os you like? on: August 28, 2014, 08:51:54 AM
I like android because of its openness. Apple needs to catch-up. Have not used a windows phone yet, no real incentive to try it.
378  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-08-25] Companies see bitcoin’s potential in PH on: August 27, 2014, 11:40:47 AM
I agree that bitcoin could play an important role in Philippines. I know a lot of seamen are Filipino and they send money back home all the time using western union. Think of the all the fees they could safe.
379  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the USA pay their debts, if ever? on: August 27, 2014, 11:30:20 AM
The government do not need to pay off the debt, they just need to issue new debt to cover the old debt. It would be a huge achievement if they can lower it, nevermind paying it back.
380  Other / Off-topic / Re: No good topics today. on: August 27, 2014, 08:14:04 AM
There is not much happening, so not so many hot topics to discuss. You could always dig up some from last week and give them a fresh new viewpoint.  Grin
