Seems Giga received an incomplete list from Nefario, but it is a start To all Gigaminers:
Late yesterday I received an asset holder list from GLBSE. Per the email received, the list may grow some more so it may not be the final list.
This is good news as it means step one is near completion. I will be working with counsel later today and possibly into next week to finalize the next steps and to clarify what has to be done and why.
Best regards, gigavps

Hey, dishwara, there is a monstrous difference between the one who successfully prepared sophisticated concept, mechanism and protocol of Bitcoin, and the one who has difficulties even with payouts to users (doing it slowly and with mistakes), not to mention of the assets data.
They both vanished, never to be heard of again

Please ask Nefario to open GLBSE again.
I definately want some shares in this venture!

I think some people are misunderstanding the deciding block. It's not any specific block so it can't happen before the raffle is over, the deciding block is the first block after 0:00 UTC the day after the final ticket is sold. Just sold 112 tickets. Getting close !!! According to BFL (if we may believe them) they will be able to catchup quickly on their backlog, so even ordered today the winner might not get their ASIC much later than the ppl that pre-ordered in July

Doing my part: bought 8 more tickets !

Just a few days now until the claim process is over:
It might be a good idea to send confirmation e-mail to claimants a few days before the deadline. What if the e-mail was lost somewhere in the pipes? I wouldn't want to lose my shares because of a typo I made. +100

What has happened to The Grand Plan of Sending Flowers?
When it comes to Bitcoin justice, keyboard warriors cannot even successfully retaliate with a bouquet of daisies. Could be no florist wants to send dead flowers... perhaps a horse's head instead ?

I dont know the situation in GB but i think $40,000 yearly are $3333.33 monthly and at least in my country its more than the average salary. Way more than normal people earn monthly. And you have to keep in mind that the shareholders of glbse only would say yes to this salary when they afterwards still get a good share from their shares for glbse. I mean they wouldnt say yes to it when they only get small money later because of the high salary. If thats true then nefario would earn even more because he owned 60% of the shares of glbse. So i dont think that he suffered because of too less income. Heres some link to income in GB: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Income_in_the_United_KingdomThey claim that the bottom fifth households in GB earned £15,000 before tax each year. Thats $24,000 before taxes. He had way more only from his ceo-salary. I can tell you from experience that £2.000 ($3.333) before taxes does not go far in London....

Since we did not get a confirmation of the email address we submitted to GLBSE as part of the shut down process it is not inconceivable that people made a mistake entering their email address and hence can not be contacted by Nefario for any double payments they might have received.... or by any Asset Issuer for that matter. I guess it was too much to ask to have a second field with a confirmation of the email we wanted to use....

nefario still is not complying with requests for shareholder information and, independently, he may or may not be facing prison time for violating financial laws in the UK. Everyone wants his head on a stick, next to pirate's and zhoutong's.
Everyone wants his head on stick because he is not complying with requests for shareholder information... Absurd that he holds that info hostage because his script paid out more than it should. One has got nothing to do with the other ! One screw-up should NOT lead to another one !!!

How does this help? It looks like a pass through to the mpex deal... It is !
|
|
|
Not only that, but he doesn't even seem to have any clue *how* to release the share info. And he has totally failed to do so in the past. And he isn't communicating. So unless something forces him to do the right thing, there's a very good chance he won't.
It is really not that difficult: Send the Asset Issuers a list with email addresses of their investors (the ones that gave Nefario permission to share that info) + number of shares that are being held by those 'addresses' A weekends work...

This has probably been discussed before:
I put money in a PPT (BitcoinMax), so not directly with pirate aka Trendon S.
Is the SEC only interested in talking to people that have directly invested with pirate or also people that have invested with PPT operators?
It seems to me the bulk of the investors have gone through ppt's (at least the bulk of the money). And I cant be sure my ppt operator actually transfered the btc to pirate or ran their own hyip, using the pirate name as some sort of 'seal of recommendation'
So any info I can give the sec is circumstancial at best....

Buying ASICMINER shares for 0.065 btc per share. the shares must be deposited at friedcat.
How exactly would that work under present circumstances? At present this can't be done Having said that I am paying 0.09 per share :-)
