361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You must have a source on: January 31, 2024, 12:59:28 PM
It will get extremely hard if you don't have a source of income, because holding for long term requires some well funded bank account and also some inner patience, the most important is source of income because if there is enough to spend there won't be any need in selling your Bitcoin.

It's rare to see someone starting without nothing and successfully end up holding through all the bear market, it's not very common, even those that have good jobs still end up getting tired of holding their Bitcoin because the expected time they have in mind, thinking that Bitcoin will pump isn't happening, so they quit.

The first thing I advice crypto investors wannabes, if they need lots of fund for investment, using DCA strategy and it will be a lot easier if they have something paying them, nothing else than skills or job, a bitcoin investor who can't hold for long is a failed investor.
362  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Rate at which p2p merchant are frauding people are high - always be vigillant on: January 30, 2024, 03:26:58 PM
I guess you are using Binance exchange Peer to Peer? That place is full of scammers now, the only tip that I can drop you is the reviews, don't do deals with anyone that has bad reviews, some intentionally do bad to some numbers of people and do very good to a larger number of people to have a nice looking profile stats.

The thing is the Binance exchange have smart customer services, if not, many of these scammers would have stolen a lot of funds from people, just like how paxful used to behave, Binance team will always ask you both to provide evidence and if one failed the person will be banned.

Next time, do trade with people that has zero negative reviews, I have came across those scammers few times and I followed this strategy and since then I don't have any problem anymore.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gamblers do retired betting gambles on: January 30, 2024, 01:57:33 PM
Gamblers don't ever quit, even if they make all the money in the world they will still always come back, its like a disease that refuse to let go from their skin, and this is the only problem I have with gambling, to quit is a a tug of war unless you are not into gambling before, and you have experience of people that lost everything in gambling.

Their past bad experience can make you a responsible gambler and you will know how to take risks in gambling, those telling you that the higher amount you risk the better are not helping you, either you are winning or not you must keep using what you can afford to lose.

I would rather miss my luck in gambling when I quit that let my whole life be build for gambling only, the biggest problems in gambling are on those who want the best results in gambling, I would rather have some result from business and running a company.
364  Other / Off-topic / Re: You can not win if you do not risk on: January 30, 2024, 11:25:01 AM
You can't be a gambler if you are not risking money, the moment you send money to any online casino makes you a gambler, and most gamblers have one thing in common, they want to at least double or triple their money, some even want to make the millions.

It's not safe to start as a fresher and start winning, you will think it's this easy to win in gambling and that's where you will start taking the addiction steps, it's better for freshers to lose money on their first games than to win money.

The reality of becoming a gambler will be revealed to them in that first experience period, and before I forget, gamblers are to risk small money to stay in good check, you can't gamble without risking nothing, but do it in a shape manner.

365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the definition of a Gambler? Do you consider yourself as a Gambler? on: January 30, 2024, 10:33:46 AM
TBH gambling is like trying to cheat to me, I am a gambler too but here is my own way of thinking about gambling, you risk small amount of money to get massive amount, this is gambling and it makes it even impossible to win, the odds is definitely not going to be in your favour, can you listen to yourselves? It's like trying to do nothing to get money, like it or hate it, you are a greedy fella if you lose everything to gambling.

It's just a fact about gambling, this is why I always don't care much about gambling, because it's too unrealistic, and that's why I risk two figures in dollars on gambling, I've never use up to $90 in gambling at once even when I always make more than this amount every month.

I am not saying you should quit gambling, I am simply advising people to lower their expectations in gambling, money is very hard to make and it's only easy if you have qualified skills, but we all want to make money the easiest ways, it's not fair enough if we look this from a different angle.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What strategies do you adopt that can help to make millions in sport betting on: January 29, 2024, 05:12:05 PM
I don't chase money when gambling but I will go with single matches anytime because it's less risky this way compare to many matches at once, many people used to complain that if they bet on a single match the amount they could win will be very small, I will never understand why so many gamblers cares only about how much they can make but not care about how much they can lose.

Sports gambling is very good and entertaining, it's easier to make new friends with sports gambling or just have some fun without taking any risks, if you are good in analysis it will even help you more, because you can't do any analysis on other gambling games like Dice or Roulette.

Still, it's wiser to always have a gambling budget, either sports or casino games you are still going to lose money, don't be too greedy when gambling, the lesser money you risk on gambling on your days the more you will have left to risk on another day.
367  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much Did you like this forum on: January 29, 2024, 04:05:43 PM
I used to not care about this forum before because I couldn't understand why it existed but after I needed to learn some things and I was able to find answers using this forum I get calmed, I started to give in some minutes to at least read, and I found it fascinating, I was like so this was all I have been missing all along?

I do like the forum, its now a part of me, since crypto is mainly the reason why I come online almost all the time I don't want to continue my crypto journey without keeping my bitcointalk account flourishing, there is always a lot more to learn and I believe I don't know anything much about crypto still.

Only newbies who don't have any reason for signing up on this forum or spammers maybe who have other aims will have some hate for this forum, I believe that every users have some love for the forum, it's full of every information about crypto that anyone crypto.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: January 29, 2024, 01:46:22 PM
Gamble for fun, financial benefits can arise while taking your time to have some fun in gambling, but don't gamble mainly to make financial gains from gambling, since to win is very hard in gambling its better to just do it for fun.

There are many life changing skills in the world today, learn one and make use of it, don't rely completely on gambling only, because it's obvious that gambling isn't real and it never was because it's completely based on luck, something that has no date for visiting, it only come around when you are not expecting it.

In gambling be careful what you seek for, hoping to make something happen in gambling is not a reality, it doesn't make it impossible but you don't want to bet everything on this, the chances id losing everything is very big, take it with a grain of salt, gamble only when you can afford it.
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is addiction bad only when it is a problem? on: January 29, 2024, 12:19:16 PM
Better you start seeing addiction as a problem unless you won't even know that you are in deep shit already, and it might be too late before someone close to you tell you about it, thinking that all addiction is not bad makes you vulnerable.

Some addictions affect people around you, including your loved ones and some kills you from the inside, no one will that you are going through a lot, I don't think that there is any addiction that we can generally call a good thing, whatever you are doing always make sure you are right between, not too much and not too slack, this is best than picking a side.

I am a gambler and I boldly say that I am not addicted, I don't want to because it's not even making any sense to me, it's like saying I am not working and I am making money, as if it's this easy to make money, even if you can make money this way you should be aware that something is wrong.

striving is adventure like that must happen in someone's life, this is who this world is created, we humans have to strive and if you are brave enough you will turn your challenges to adventure, like something that's expected to happen, when something is too easy its unclean, and might be full of deceit, you need to be careful of the easy ways.
370  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] Trezor users are receiving fake emails with phishing links. on: January 28, 2024, 05:11:28 PM
Ledger was also a target some months ago, even Metamask too, this isn't something new in crypto space and it's because of the stupidity of people that's why they fall for this scams, my hardware wallet company can't message me using email in taking any actions, our deal was done since the day I purchased the hardware wallet, it's fully open source and non-custodial so it's a forever goodbye to any customer services after buying the hardware wallet.

Even if the email is coming from the official hardware wallet company you should not click on any link or give up your recovery seed, because they might be targeted and got their email account compromised, millions will probably lose their asset if this happen but it can never be me.

Stop reacting to everything you come across online, even a co worker in a company can decide to go bad and steal from customers, in the case of hardware wallets, you must not share anything with the customers services too, understand what you are paying money for, don't just buy and use like an idiot.
371  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: January 28, 2024, 04:07:58 PM
Like I used to say, it's better to have a source of income and waste it all on gambling believing that you will make another than not having anything and lose all you have presently in gambling, this is why some gamblers turned criminal all in the name of debt and other money problem.

Before you start planning a strategy to use in gambling, have a source of income first, it will give you a more relaxing feeling, and if you apply risking what you can afford to lose it's even better, and this is the best gambling strategy right now.

Many people are struggling but they choose the wrong thing as the first step....

The first thing to do is find a source of income.

Then start saving some money aside for responsibilities purposes, after doing this you should then start keeping some changes aside for gambling, it should not be the first priority, it should be the last.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Older men vs Younger boys in gambling, Which enjoys Gambling for fun the more? on: January 28, 2024, 11:31:13 AM
Saying older men is more suited for this question because with past experience you can always be better at what you do, a old gambler is not just starting at a older age, it's been a long time coming for them, so they must have some good and bad experience, if you ask them for advice they will be able to give you the most accurate what gambling really is.

Younger gamblers don't have a lot of experience, they will make so much mistakes with decisions they made, it's very important to always do research on anything before trying them out, although some young people have know many things in gambling and they choose to be wise about it.

Either young or old, most gamblers are gambling to make money, not for fun, those who want fun out of gambling don't gamble every day, they don't crave for the gambling feeling, they only do it when there is a chance to do so, such people will be able to risk only what they can afford to lose.

Not craving for money in gamble is the way to beat addiction and massive losses, gambling is not a money making machine or skills, do it wisely.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 28, 2024, 10:42:45 AM
It's very possible, someone whom grownup from the same place as mine end up stealing in the community until he was caught, he claimed he have so much debt he needs to pay back, because the money he used to gamble was meant for something else.

There is another that lost everything and when coming back home some guys started using him to laugh because they knew how addicted he is with gambling, but he got so angry that he stabbed one with a broken bottle and the stabbed guy lost his life.

There is another one that involved siblings, the guy lost all money in gambling and he turned into a beast on his siblings, causing them harm and inflicting his angers on the little kids around him until he went too far using boiling water to hurt one, that was when everyone in the house took matter into their hands.

It's very possible to become addicted to gambling and also losing who you are in the process, that's why it's important to gain knowledge first in everything we plan to do, even the most easiest looking solution may not be really how you viewed it, but looking for extra information can safe you from heart breaks.
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaurd yourself this year against crypto scams on: January 26, 2024, 08:59:16 AM
Many people are probably going to hate this idea but the best way to guide yourself against crypto scam is to have more money in Bitcoin, like maybe 80% in BTC and use the rest 20% on other projects, because alternative projects are more risky than Bitcoin.

If the 20% failed Bitcoin won't fail you, this is a certain compare to altcoins, all you need to do is good research to make sure that you aren't making some scammers rich, mind you, scammers will always come up with better plans to scam people, be careful of greed and your ambition to make big money, if it's too good to be true its probably a scam.

You should be fine if you are not too greedy, go for the best and stop looking for huge money to make, it's better to the expose to small risks and make some money than be exposed to big risk projects and if loss comes with will come big.
375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: While placing bet what comes your mind on: January 25, 2024, 04:55:10 PM
Nothing is telling you to increase your wager than that of your very own mind and sometimes it can be misleading too, I don't want to listen to any voice in my head, I don't need to, only those who expect so much from gambling will want to win by all means, you shouldn't probably be gambling if your mind is saying you should take more risks, why can't your same mind tell you to lower your risk?

Whenever you want to gamble, always recite if possible that " gambling is by luck" maybe this will make you remember that it's all about luck and nothing else, when you think about the positive side you should think about the negative side too.

I have gotten passed the person that will let his mind fool him in gambling, it's possible that I get fooled in something else but not in gambling, you don't know what's awaiting you next, you should be risking money that wont cause you any pain, every profits is good profits, if you win it's great but what will happen if you lose? Think more about this as a gambler.
376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a social or casual good guesser make better gambling prediction carrier? on: January 25, 2024, 10:21:47 AM
Don't stress yourself, there is nothing anyone can say that will make me change my mind about luck in gambling, I still stand strong with my fact that gambling is straight out luck, there is nothing that can change this, mind you why not try it out first before discussing it?

If guessing really works or can work in gambling you should try it out and drop your experience on this forum, people will probably believe you more, guessing about people is different to gambling, you can see those people, and its a fact that people are readable, some people are very good at reading people and be able to figure out what they are planning.

It's not the same with gambling, you are completely on your own and what happens next doesn't depends on you, casinos and gambling have been operating since the beginning of time, if there is really a way to beat casinos it would have been found already, the reason why it's not found is because there is no way to beat luck, so therefore it can't be found, because it was never lost.

getting lucky is a one in a million chances, this is why casinos wins more than gamblers, they are not at big risks like the gamblers, gamblers are the ones trying to beat the impossible not the casinos.
377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alter Ego In Gambling on: January 25, 2024, 09:08:58 AM
We all have that alter ego, some knows how to control and some don't know how, but for me I strongly believe that gambling is dangerous, the only way to be ahead of gambling emotion and other problems is to avoid risking too much on gambling.

Avoid having the mindset that gambling will give you things that your jobs or investment should, I know the dangers awaiting me when I am gambling, this is why I am never going to fall at the mercy of gambling, I don't expect much from this..

I prefer working very hard and saving up money and also investing my money, gambling is just something I do for fun and only when I missed it, with very small amount of money, the expectations that people have in gambling is what get them wrecked.
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin an opportunity like land on: January 25, 2024, 08:01:04 AM
Total supply is limited but if we start counting how many buildings are been built in a single country the numbers will be in millions, yet there are lands left that are still bushes or jungles, saying land is limited is nonsense, there are still many lands available,  development is the problem, there are places where you won't find single houses or you don't have undeveloped areas in your country?

Bitcoin max supply is just 21 million, that's all there will ever be, but lands are available everywhere, this can't be compare to bitcoin, come to Africa you will see so many lands filled with bushes and jungles, no one dares to build on them because it's not a developed area.

Drive my people out, they will find a new land somewhere else to live and cultivate, this have happened even in the Bible, this world is massive, so massive than the max supply of Bitcoin, so please let's stop comparing lands with Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is far more smaller than lands in the world, and Bitcoin holds the true value appreciation than lands.
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin an opportunity like land on: January 24, 2024, 03:58:24 PM
Lands value depends on the location, there are some places in my country that takes years for lands over there to appreciate in value, in Nigeria you must get land where new houses are been built, they are cheaper than those on the major roads and popular places but I can't help but confess that Bitcoin investment beats land investment, for me, I can't say about others.

Comparing Bitcoin as land opportunity doesn't feel well with me because I have piece of land since 2017 and the amount isn't anywhere close to a half quarter of how much I have made with crypto investment, I am not saying that land isn't a good idea but Bitcoin have done so well since past years that no land can bring their owner such gains.

Many people are scared of Bitcoin investment because of the uncertainty, like they aren't even sure if Bitcoin will survive the future but here we are today, I will still choose to invest in Bitcoin compare to investing money on lands.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been able to win a game given to you in the dream? on: January 24, 2024, 01:07:14 PM
It has never happened to me but I have heard of such thing working for other people, where I am from there are different type of related stories like this that are genuine, it's possible to dream about a solution to something and not all dreams are just dreams depending on the dreamer themselves.

Some people are gifted with the ability to see through their dreams and whatever they see always come to past, I have never been able to win this way, maybe that's because I don't see myself as someone who brings reality from dreams, most are not even important and I don't take dreams seriously, most times it's way different from reality.
