I am simply skeptical. Nothing can be truly known except that you perceive and all that is perceived is simply perceptions. Beyond that, nothing can be proven to have intrinsic meaning except, again, that it can be perceived.

Solipsism is a cold hard truth that is so potent, that most people mark it as ridiculous from the start. It is much like when the concept of God came into question.
362  Economy / Auctions / Bitkoin.su - Hidden Reserve on: March 07, 2012, 06:10:18 AM
You are bidding on a Soviet Union (.su) domain: Bitkoin.su

Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, ICANN has fruitlessly attempted to shutdown the registrar of .su domains but to no avail. Due to little to no overreaching jurisdiction by a government, nor even by ICANN, .su domains continue to be an independent force in the TLD world.

By this legacy, I bring you the Bitkoin.su domain.

Minimum bids are at .01 BTC with a hidden reserve. The starting price is 0 BTC.

Is there a solipsist here, or is it just me?
You/I just like talking to yourself. There's nothing wrong with taking pleasure in it.
364  Other / Politics & Society / Why I am proud to be a solipsist. on: March 07, 2012, 05:45:08 AM
Is it not a virtue to perceive yourself and others as one and the same?

...or would it be preferable to treat people as external, manipulable objects?

I have a life, gentlemen.

You spend your day playing TF2. You don't in fact, have a life.

I sold my Steam account months ago, Matthew. I couldn't play a game for my life nowadays.

You are not entitled to any proof, kid. I am only doing this because it's convenient for me.

Shakaru should learn to let go. I locked the thread to signify the deal is done. I am a private individual; not your local entitlements office.

I hope you guys don't act like this when a woman doesn't text you back. That can lead to restraining orders.

The chip is being given to the first person that PM'd me.

I have a life, gentlemen. If you didn't get a response, you didn't get a response. That's all that means.

Isn't he?
370  Other / Off-topic / Re: Another dilemma: Why does Matthew attack me? What is his goal? on: March 05, 2012, 04:34:46 AM
Alright, I'm all of those things. (!) So what?

So now in order to protect ourselves from your harassment, annoyances, potential threats, we ostracize you. Isn't it lovely?

Now Atlas, since you're a coward, please go change your name one more time and forget this ever happened like you've done (and we've already had this conversation) 12 times before.

Sure. Heh.

I like how old people scoff at books and talk about how their life experience is worth more.

It reminds me of diploma mills among other things.

"That dem there kid just likes books. I know just as much as you, you know. I have de life experiences."

I like how all the books you respect were written by people who had life experience.

You'll be reading my book and watching my movie soon Atlas. The only people who will be reading your books are the detectives gathering evidence at the scene of your mass murders when you grow up and can't deal.

If that is the case, I won't even give a damn, Matthew. If seeing me exiled from society as a mass murderer gives you pleasure and a hard-on, it's really none of my concern. I am without shame. I can't really play your game but it does help my creative process.

I know that I am intelligent because I know nothing.

That's the only thing I liked from Socrates, really.

So by your own admission, you know nothing. So why are you talking then?
Answer that for me, Matthew. What do you think I would say to this?

*pours himself a glass of wine*

Ha, we are a bit a like it seems. I remember seeing these as they were posted actually.

I don't see anything wrong with them, frankly.
377  Other / Off-topic / Re: Another dilemma: Why does Matthew attack me? What is his goal? on: March 05, 2012, 03:45:20 AM
The value should be inherent. Otherwise, there's the ignore button, heh.

Joint, what you say is likely accurate. As for conflict, there is no real conflict. I am content and happy despite any pain I endure. I accept reality as-is -- even Matthew. I actually enjoy Matthew a lot.

I have a feeling my anxiety is just a side effect of my existential mindset. Unlimited choice will lead to stress.
379  Other / Off-topic / Re: Another dilemma: Why does Matthew attack me? What is his goal? on: March 05, 2012, 03:05:19 AM
If you like chaos, you will notice it all over the place, including within yourself.

Think about what you just said.

Hm, let me try to find your objective here. You want me to desire an alternative here. It seems you want me to desire, period.

I don't desire, joint. I accept and act as I will.

Do you feel ordered inside or chaotic inside?  That's what I'm getting at.

Chaotic is a good term. Anxiety is the most accurate. It's how I've always been.
