361  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PCSO Idinemanda Ang Isang Blockchain Company on: November 19, 2023, 05:02:35 PM

Kahit mapa gambling game, lottery or raffle basta di lisensyado at di legal approved, wag na kayo magtiwala. In the end kayo pa rin bahala, DYOR muna if gusto mo pa rin tuloy nasa sayo na yan sariling pera mo naman ang iririsk mo.
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Are you in profit? on: November 19, 2023, 04:49:18 PM
I would literally want to say EVEN cause if I remember all the games I had back then when I also won huge amounts of prizes, but if I compare it to the number of unprofitable games, for sure I would say NO. I have tried a lot of online gambling it could be a card game, fish game, etc, but most of these game has a similar outcome which is loss of money. I already know that if I gamble I would eventually lose money but for sure I only aim for the entertainment and enjoyment of playing a game with money at stake for a thrilling effect. Also, I'm starting to get fishy on some online gambling if it is programed for the players to lose and would only pick some people where they have the chance to win, well I could also say that into physical gambling but in the end, everything in the gambling literally depends on luck. I barely gamble nowadays when I'm bored cause I would want to focus on investment in Bitcoin for now.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miss Universe 2023 betting today. on: November 19, 2023, 03:55:44 PM
The winner is Sheynnis Palacios from Nicaragua, and the odds was +1200. Lucky for those who spotted it right!

I actually stopped watching the show when the Philippines wasn't included in the top 5. She got a lot of awards, so it's surprising that she wasn't part of the top 5. I thought she'd perform better in the Q and A part. The odds could have been better than the winner, which is at +1400.
Same here, I stopped watching the live show after they announced the top 5 Finalist and PH is not included, However I think there's something fishy with the result because MU2023 Instagram page's posted the top 5 Finalist wherein Philippines is included. Anyways, Ms.Nicaragua is my bet since 1st day, I have no idea that there's a MU betting today, If only I had known, I would have won. Congrats to the new Ms. Universe 2023, To all participants and most specially, Congrats to Nicaragua for having the first ever Ms. Universe Crown title, which remarks in their country's history.

I also felt the same way since I support the Philippines of course it's my own country, I even bet some money with my cousins that she would be part of the top 5. I think the results are quite right as he mentioned, she won a lot of awards so it seems like they put a lot of reason for them to eliminate PH in the top 5 by raining of awards. What you have seen on Instagram might be a fake account of the Miss Universe cause for sure they have learned a lesson from the previous Miss Universe where Steve announced the winner wrong, it has an impact on the audience as well as the country. To be honest, I would really like to bet on Ms. Nepal cause she's actually beauty and I love how confident she is despite being curvy. But yeah other candidates really have a good answer in Q and A, still congrats to Nicaragua for winning MU2023.
364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now buy and hold the bitcoin is profitable on: November 19, 2023, 02:42:41 PM
Seems like you are just starting to invest in Bitcoin but you are also already a member of this forum which is good, cause there's already a lot of existing thread here that is actually helpful for the newbies. But before you invest, it would be better to invest in yourself first cause looks like you don't know when to start as you lack knowledge. You mentioned that Bitcoin has risen its value and it would be a good time to invest, which is still good cause Bitcoin would be better and much more profitable in long-term investment, still the best time to accumulate Bitcoin when it is in a bear market, cause you would profit from lowest when Bitcoin increase it will be a huge profit. There's no such late comers in Bitcoin and you don't need to put huge amount, you can use methods like DCA.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not share your bitcoin holdings with everyone on: November 19, 2023, 01:21:04 PM
I was listening to a news that one of the relatives of a person kidnapped him and asked him for bitcoin in ransom. This happened because that person showed his bitcoin holdings to many of his relatives and news spread among them that he has lot of money invested in crypto. Though, finally funds were recovered from that guy but he could have even lost his life in the whole scenario. Thus, you should be careful with disclosing about your bitcoin holdings to everyone.

That's a major flaw! Does anyone goes to the street announcing how much money they have in the bank? Same should happen with Bitcoin. You shouldn't be waving a sign with your possesions of Bitcoin out in the street, I guess.
People should take Bitcoin as any other kind of money! This is no joke but people still act as if it is!

Exactly, haven't we questioned why Bitcoin is giving you anonymity? It isn't to provide users their security and safety by not revealing their identity. If you really want to share your experience in Bitcoin with your family or relatives, I think it would be better to not tell how much funds you have or choose wisely the people that you can literally trust like your parents, cause we know that even blood-related people can still do such things. We should always be careful, cause we don't know what people can do just to attain someone's money or Bitcoin, this not only applies to funds but also to any valuable things.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: November 18, 2023, 05:44:58 PM
Children are very good imitators, they try to imitate whatever they see from their parents because they cannot distinguish between good and bad, it is very right that you at least realize this, maybe you did not even think that it would be affected before, but after the questions he asked you, you seem to regret it.

I think it will not affect him too much because you are aware of this and you are aware of this. You are looking for ways to keep him away from games or you have convinced him that it is a game for adults. Gambling games should never be played in the presence of children. I hope this title will raise awareness for all gamblers.
Well, to be honest, I don't see anything really important here, playing gambling games in front of children is absolutely no big deal, children love games, and even if they don't know how to play, they would love to watch their parent playing games as watching can also be fun.

And why i said I see no big deal in this is that, like you said, children can not differentiate good from bad, same way they can not differentiate a gambling game from a normal video game which alot of our children play this days.

If you are gambling, like playing a slot game, there is no way your child will know that you are gambling except you tell him or her, what he or she will understand is that you are playing a game, simple.

And if you want, you can one day download a video game from Google playstore or iPhone app store and give the child to play, and make him or her understand that that was the same game he or she watched you play the other day, this way, they won't ever know anything about gambling until they grow up and start mingling with people outside like in school or so, who they may learn such thing if people they mingle with are people who already know about gambling.

That's actually a good point, where you just simply tell your children that it is just a simple game, but I still believed that they would still be learning that the mechanics of some games would need some bet if you do not inform them about the bad effects of gambling which they might think is normal cause they can't distinguish what's wrong and what's right. I think it's not really a good idea to bring your kids into an environment where people are betting up their money and relying on luck to win, it is not just about the game, it is that we are trying for them to not adapt and learn this kind of habits cause not only that they are a good imitator but also environment influence their behavior. When the time comes they encounter a gambling game that is familiar to them, for they are gonna be interested in playing it and it will continue which might lead to addiction. It's really much better for them to understand and learn when they can already decide for their own.
367  Economy / Economics / Re: Are You Sticking to Your Plan or Has Life Made You Pause or Modify It? on: November 18, 2023, 05:13:39 PM
There are literally a lot of pauses and modifications to your plan even if you make a lot of plans like plan A, plan B.... and plan Z, cause there are a lot of possible outcomes that might happen that we could not think about. For sure, the flow of life might not follow the plan we have in our mind, but having a goal will help you to keep forward and for that reason would help you to be consistent in investing. Your plan would be just your guide in your journey, but you will really have to be prepared for unexpected events, for example, you accumulated a lot of Bitcoin recently, but suddenly you really need to have a huge amount of funds for emergencies as well then the market went down, things like that. In this industry it's really a must to be cautious about your decision and not invest money that you cannot afford to lose cause in the worst-case scenario, you would be the one who will suffer. Remember that the market is still volatile, you cannot predict the accurate outcome but for sure you could do speculations.
368  Economy / Economics / Re: Imaginary Future on: November 18, 2023, 04:26:40 PM
Do you ever feel like that being after saving or investing for future you forget to live in the present? You don't buy the things you want to or don't go after experiences you want because you'd rather save/invest for future instead.

If it has already become your habit or routine to save up for investment, you wouldn't mind budgeting yourself as you don't have any time to enjoy yourself. Some people would say that's a bad thing and some would say its a good thing, but for me, it would just depend on your goals, some would prefer to go YOLO so they would try everything and explore early while on the other hand, some people have the mindset of they want to retire early and enjoy life in the future without thinking of their money. I think people who would prefer to go after the experiences are already financially stable as they can enjoy life without saving up and budgeting their money for their everyday lives, cause people who have a bare minimum wage are barely surviving and having a hard time investing, how else when it comes to their desire, wants and enjoyment?
369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcin does not support financial crimes and is not involve in political affairs on: November 18, 2023, 10:56:16 AM
Why are we always quick to attribute crimes to Bitcoin and crypto generally? For God sake people launder money using Fiat. People buy weapons using Fiat and other source of extend.
Why is it that the beam light is now on crypto.
I honestly do not think it is right to blame Bitcoin for the fight between Israel and HAMAS.
The government is saying it and linking crime to bitcoin and crypto, so more people don't like crypto. But that doesn't stop other people from finding out the truth about crypto so they don't care much about the propaganda put out by any government.
The current spotlight on crypto is because crypto has become more popular than it was a few years ago, so there are people who haven't liked crypto from the past now trying to influence other people not to use crypto.
It is normal that there are people who blame bitcoin and crypto for being used for illegal transactions between warring countries or for illegal activities.
But there are still many people who actually use crypto for good and are interested in changing their lives for the better by making bitcoin a long-term investment.

They really discourage people from using crypto as they won't benefit in the end cause people would prefer to use digital currency rather than fiat currency which they cannot control, they can't corrupt the system and manipulate it, plus the tax that they could get from people from it unlike in crypto where it is decentralized. We can't deny that due to Bitcoin's features that even the government couldn't handle, it can be used for illegal activities and crime but if we think of it, even before Bitcoin there were already a lot of people committing crimes like in the banks, money laundering and etc. It's literally normal and fine to have a negative side to a certain thing but if we focus on the bright side which is how Bitcoin's power to change someone's life, maybe we could succeed, for sure those people who say Bitcoin is for crime and illegal activities never experienced or doesn't have knowledge about its profitable market since its volatile in long-term or short-term investment.
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An easy approach to Bitcoin on: November 18, 2023, 08:11:37 AM
Most people especially kids have heard about Bitcoin or crypto currency without really knowing what it is about or how it works.recently I came across a particular video which I found online.it was an animated video giving a very brief and basic knowledge about the concept of Bitcoin. It talked about why Bitcoin was created, how Blockchain works ,as well as mining.I saw it as a good approach to teaching young ones or even newbies about Bitcoin.Without saying much here is a link to the video.
https://www.facebook.com/reel/3050082035123654?mibextid=Hn3EexMF1WhlYZLE
op To me teaching bitcoin to kids is nothing but stupid. Because children do not want to study properly under the guise of play. They cannot focus on something as important as Bitcoin. They are just busy with sports, if you try to teach them about Bitcoin, you will fail completely. Bitcoin should be taught at a time when you can make your own decisions. If you don't understand the importance of bitcoin, you will spend all day explaining it to kids and they won't understand anything about bitcoin. Sixteen to seventeen year old boys and girls can be taught about Bitcoin then they will slowly understand the importance of Bitcoin.

Teaching Bitcoin to kids would be actually an advantage for them, but not all kids at a young age comprehend and understand complex things. It's not really advisable and recommendable to apply the knowledge of Bitcoin at an early age since in the crypto industry it is not just a simple game as you involved money for profit and losses. Plus as a parent, they should know that if their kids are really interested or not, they shouldn't be forced to understand things that are really complicated for them to understand. I think the proper age for them is when they are already 18 because I think that's the age they would feel like an adult and have their own decision in their life. Where you can simply introduced Bitcoin and learn on their own phase.

371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason of why Bitcoin is good for trading (for me) on: November 17, 2023, 06:26:32 PM
Correct. Bitcoin may produce less profit but it is actually very good at reducing the real risk of risky trading. I'm sure with your patience you might be someone who can be successful in trading as long as you don't rush into it because many people fail because they rush to become rich.

Profit is profit, if you are consistent enough and disciplined you could even consider that less profit from Bitcoin to be huge. If you rush your way in the crypto industry, for sure you won't even survive long in here. It will just make you pressured as you are too focused on your goal which is to be rich, than learning in the process and every mistake to be part of your development journey in trading. Just think of the persons that has been trading for years or decades, some of them are already successful but mostly for sure are still in the progress of becoming rich. You cant rush something that you understand, that's why we can observed that from learning courses would literally need to be years, which I think is applicable to trading, invest with yourself first with knowledge.
372  Economy / Economics / Re: Marketing Strategies in the Digital Age on: November 17, 2023, 05:45:30 PM
There's no market strategy as best as using the social media for making advertisements, now we are in the era of advanced technology development and people are making alot of opportunities out in making the use of the internet to market themselves, there's no way you won't see people on the social media each time they are online browsing on different platforms, and the most of this target is the advantage of covering a larger percentage of people with this target.

Except from the user point of view. Especially when it comes to cryptos. I have seem handful of actual cryptocurrency advertisements, or exchange adverisements, while being flooded with scams..

Also i wouldn't click any advertisement link i get from social media, or via any platform that shows ads. No matter what the crypto opportunity it is.
Changes are it contains a fake site and a wallet drainer. Any serious project would know typosquatting and duplicate sites are a problem, and i sort of hope they would advertising in social media, because this shouldn't be a thing that might be legit. People should find the official login link via google.

You have a point, as they take advantage of the internet as their market strategy for introducing their products, or into cryptos like their coins and tokens, scammers also do the same, they even literally copied your way advertisements that could clickbait users to open a new link that could be harmful to your private accounts which could be a drainer.
I think making links and clickable ads would be not a good idea. My experience here in the crypto industry with their advertisement (from Twitter). Even a legit site that is made by a legit team, they are still prone to scams, which is also their fault cause their site is not that secured. If you are going to make a platform with users putting their funds, at least make it secure. You really need to exert effort by having a trademark where users could identify fake sites, plus easy to search in browsing app websites than links.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I learnt from a crackhead about gambling on: November 17, 2023, 05:33:51 PM
Drug addiction compared to gambling addiction is almost the same, you are ruining your life by destroying your physical health, mental health with drugs while gambling is when your finances are affected, for sure it would cause problems in providing your needs as well the relationship of the gambler to their family. He's good at managing money which might be the reason for budgeting his money for drugs, you can consider it as a skill but you only acquire that kind of skill when you are addicted, for they have the problem of resisting the urge you would really need to be rehabilitated.

I'll be honest, cause if I were gonna have a conversation with someone addicted to drugs, I would be scared for my safety than the story itself, cause you would never know what's going on in their minds. They might attack you cause they need money for drugs, which is applicable to gamblers they might use violence just to have money.
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some rich person not interest about bitcoin for following reason on: November 17, 2023, 04:40:14 PM
A friend of mine is not interested in buying Bitcoin even after learning about it.
Because according to him Bitcoin is a small number of people who have a lot of Bitcoin. They can easily go down on the bitcoin market if they want to.
Example: Cz. Craig wright & Michel Sailor etc.

Looking forward to the well thought out opinion of the experienced in this regard.

Well, we all have different opinions on Bitcoin which is actually normal. Even if you say that there are only a few people holding Bitcoin, the market still depends on its volatility Bitcoin's potential for the long term for sure would increase its value but its current value would be volatile. If your friend is already rich and doesn't want to invest in Bitcoin, I think it's more like his preference, because he might get rich in another way cause if he'd make money in Bitcoin, he wouldn't doubt it. Some rich people find alternative investments other than their source of money like from their business than putting them into a bank. I also think that your friend might not be knowledgeable enough in the crypto industry but has other ways of making money where he's much more skilled and smart.
375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Start with the little you have, you don't need millions of dollars to own BTC. on: November 17, 2023, 02:24:58 PM

The bottom line is that it is better to start buying now with the little money you have than waiting and the time passes by.
Bitcoin is still fucking cheap right now to compare the price it would be in the future.

Hope this can encourage someone who may find him or herself in such a situation.

Maybe 10 years from now and if Bitcoin still exists the price is probably over $100k. And that time, it was just like what we were buying today while the price of Bitcoin was very cheap 10 years ago. Investing is not a contest but we are actually running out of time before the price surges high again. I don't say it was a good time for buying these days but at least, we don't miss the opportunity while the price of Bitcoin is just $38k before it reaches another ATH.

Having $1000 worth of Bitcoin now can be multifold in the future which means that there is no regret in doing this, yes we only need courage and faith.

We can't be sure when would be the exact outcome results of Bitcoin 10 years from now, but for sure we know that from its potential, it would be a huge amount of value. For that simple reason, if you really want to secure funds in the future, you should accumulate early as soon as possible since Bitcoin's value is currently cheap. You don't really need huge amounts to accumulate Bitcoin when you can start with small amounts as long as you have consistency and discipline like the DCA method. For some people, you don't really have to rush or be pressured especially if you can't afford to invest the money you have, but we're really running out of time as the halving is coming closer. Take it slow and find ways to have extra money to invest into Bitcoin cause it will eventually pay off in the end.
376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Luck and skill, which is more important for gambling success? on: November 16, 2023, 04:57:39 PM
i would say luck is the most important factor in gambling. just imagine when you have skills but unfortunately your internet goes down in the middle of the game, or the game suddenly errors and your match doesn't count, that's definitely very annoying because you have to lose because of a trivial problem. but when you have high luck, no matter what your skills are, you will be able to win by relying on your luck in any way.

Luck could be obtained anytime when you are gambling, but it isn't always on your side, if you have the skill you can still manage to win as you know the mechanics, techniques, etc. Let's say from your given scenario, that you are already an experienced gambler, you might have alternate options from that issue like having cellular data to back up your internet or autosave your settings things like that.

Because luck itself would be useless if you don't even know what to do as you lack the knowledge, imagine you won a huge amount in gambling but you don't even know how to simply cash out the money from digital gambling, which might have a negative effect if you search or ask someone that might scam you right. That's why both luck and skills must be combined for the gambler would have the advantage and benefits.
377  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you work toward hodling bitcoin? on: November 16, 2023, 04:22:58 PM
I'm definitely, or still, thinking about diversification. But in business or the kind of entrepreneur I'm made of, the goal is mainly to arrange or organize everything possible for the growth of my business.
If your business can make more money than invest in Bitcoin, why forcing yourself to invest in Bitcoin?

As long as you still have an idea or making your business bigger, there's nothing wrong to re-invest into your business. Invest is when you have idle money, but you don't know or have any time to generate more money.
In as much as he thinks his business can earn him more than investing in Bitcoin. He also feels that whatever he gets from his business as a profit, instead of saving fiat in the bank, where inflation can affect is so much and the value will reduce over time. He prefers to store the value by investing in Bitcoin.

Many people do this and i am not exempted, since i have no use of my fiat and have enough for emergency and to sort my bills, the next thing is to keep putting my money in Bitcoin. However, am not saying if there are other investment i would venture into it, i can do both the investment and still invest in Bitcoin.

That's actually good thinking as you are thinking of your funds to earn more than just save it in the bank. The only thing is, savings could be used for emergency funds for emergency purposes so when you are in need of money, you could simply withdraw money. If you invested your money in a long-term aim or short, when you're gonna leave the market in a red market, seems like you'd just lost some money. If you are going to do this method, it would be better to split your funds into savings and some for investment. That's why it is really important to manage your funds, cause you can lose your money in an impulsive move. Assess your situation first cause not all scenarios are applicable to everyone.
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and misinformation on: November 15, 2023, 05:41:35 PM
Some people who don't think about managing their finances well, of course won't think about investing, because they tend to spend the income they have without paying attention to their needs. Yes, that's right, if we explain about Bitcoin to people like that, of course they won't listen and even if they do, they won't be interested in what we explain about Bitcoin to them, because they only think about momentary pleasure by spending the income they have and doesn't think about what will happen if he can't have any more income.

Some people don't think about future and spend whole money but don't realize that if hard time comes then what will they do. Everyone is familiar with bitcoin but some people don't accept bitcoin because they are unable to wait for such a long time. Who desires to invest in bitcoin will invest without learning from others but those who don't have any dream of investment will never understand even we teach them each and everything about bitcoin.

When a person has money then they don't think about investment but if they don't have money then they say that if they wish to have some money that they can use for buying bitcoin. Those individuals who don't have any bitcoin yet will surely wish when they see other fellows to take benefit from it in 2024 but it will be too late as halving again will be four years later.

That is the mindset that we should break, if you are currently financially stable doesn't mean it could last forever, it would still be better to have investments or savings in case of emergency, if you can't handle big amounts there are some methods like the DCA method. Plus for the future of your family, they wouldn't have to think financially. Bitcoin is literally free for everyone to use it could be any person, and the results would depend on their knowledge, skills, mindset, and funds. These factors affect their decision-making when it comes to investing in Bitcoin. I think some really wants to take the risk of accumulating Bitcoin, but it is the negativity, and they focus on its cons, of course, they are having second thought since they've seen how powerful Bitcoin is that it could change someone's life. But if you are living a good life you won't really hassle yourself to invest in something you don't know.
379  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is it difficult for people to get capital easily? on: November 15, 2023, 10:05:56 AM
How did you get your capital to start that business you are doing today? Or do you experience some things like this from your relatives, because to get capital these days is not easy for me, and there are some people all over the world looking for way to get this capital to start a good business but is not easy for them. Can you share your experience on how you get your capital.

To a person who starts with zero funds, it is really not easy to accumulate funds and make it capital unless you loan it.  I work hard and save an amount of money for a long time to have a capital for my business but sadly business is not like getting capital and establishing it.  To make the story short,  I let other people manage my business by partnering with them, me providing the funds, while they provide the service of management.  It's an epic fail, so I am back to working hard again, getting multiple extra sidelines.

The only way to get capital to use in the business is through hard work if you do not want to have debt in establishing your business.

I don't suggest going for a full loan when you're planning to start a business from scratch, because it will have a double negative effect ones it fails. I'd always suggest for a loan for a partial portion to start your business outside from your personal savings. That way, you won't get to have a long term credit payment with huge interests.
Also, It's not a good idea if you let others run your business, it's either you'll fail your business or let your partner become successful first before you, because he knows your business model more than you do.
Starting business from scratch is a lot harder than saving for a capital, since business demands more of your time than working for the other company.

It is not really recommended to take a loan especially if you can't afford to pay up for the loans in case the business does not work. Due to reason as you said, that it would just worsen your situation if your plan doesn't work. I actually agree that it would be better to borrow a money for partial portion that way it wouldn't hurt to pay up for years with high interest included.

It is really better to run your own business cause it would be a problem to run a business with someone, especially if they don't see success without you. That's why it would literally take time to build a business from the start, you can gather knowledge and information by simply attending seminars, online, or even from the book. You might have the capital to start but the knowledge is not enough, even if you hire someone who's knowledgeable in the end they would take the credit for your business.
380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is King on: November 15, 2023, 05:46:53 AM
Bitcoin is king because :

1) It was the first crypto coin. People associate crypto with Bitcoin.

2) It has a solid foundation. Developers made this coin with long term vision.

3) It is a good option for current investors alao because it proved its worth in last 13 years.

I don't think Bitcoin was the first coin in the market back then, there's already a lot of existing coins but it would eventually die.
