Another great match between West Indies and Pakistan and it went till the last few overs and this time Pakistan was able to finish the match by picking all their wickets and even though one day was lost due to rain, it was a perfect ending for the match as Pakistan lost the last match as they were not pick the wickets of the tail end batsman and this time i thought the tail would hang in there and will draw the match.
The Test series is over and they should have played one more match.
I never thought an inconsistent team will be able to repeat the same performance in bowling. An intresting game overall, at one stage I thought the match is over when rain started pouring. Pakistan is known for its inconsistency and if they performed well in the first innings does not mean they will perform well in the second one. They need to take wickets and WI needs to stay on the pitch. The last day of a test match is always entertaining. No one is sure about the win but i think that currently odds are in favor of the Pakistan. If Pakistan can repeat the same bowling performance which they showed yesterday, there are good chances that they will take the match away from WI. However, since its the last day, even a single big partnership by the WI can save the match and who knows they may go on for a win in they have wickets in hands in the last session of the 5th day. That is correct one single big partnership and the match is over for Pakistan. I know Pakistan bowlers performed really well last time but if they only repeat their performance once again, will they win. Whereas WI only need to stick to the wicket till the end of the day. Pakistan has the entire day and 90 overs to pick the rest of the 9 West Indies wickets and hopefully there wont be any weather delays because Pakistan needs those 90 overs to create pressure and possibly try to win the match. It all depends upon the West Indian batsman's mentality as they will not survive if their game plan is defense alone as they need to produce some incredible innings to defend the entire day.
In the first Test i thought Pakistan could win the match in the final session but West Indies somehow was able to win by one wicket and this match can go the same way if all the 90 overs are bowled and West Indies are able to chase down the score as they need 280 runs to win at around 3.1 runs per over and they have 9 wickets in hand. Will see whether it will boil down to the last session or end up in a draw. 280 runs can be easily achieved. They have only lost 1 wicket and they will have a full day to play. Looks like Pakistan is losing the grip in this match. Pakistani bowlers have to perform really well in order to win this match. The match is in control of the WI team either they can win it or they can draw it. |

Seems like both team are of same nature and both needs to improve a lot on their batting ? In last test match, West Indies only won by 1 wicket and this does not stand them ahead of the opponent. There has to be a winner when you play a 5 days match with low scoring on each side. West Indies is also not having the best team in Test and like the first match i am also expecting a close encounter and the match depends upon how long the Pakistan batsman can hang in there and how much they are going to score. Pakistan is not having the best bowling line up either but the inexperience of West Indies in the longer format will cause problem for them. The second day's match is being delayed due to rain. This is good for both teams. If today's match is not played due to rain, the chances of the match being drawn will increase. Because the performance of the players of both the teams is very irregular. Even after losing 3 wickets for 2 runs, Pakistan is now in a good position. I never thought they would be able to collect so many runs. Similarly, the performance of West Indies players is completely irregular. A draw match will more favor the West Indies because they already won a test and this will give them a series win. Although its bit early to conclude the winner right now. The news is that there is only a drizzle at the moment, and the chances of whole day wash out is very less. Lets hope that there is play and the winner is decided on the basis of the performance and not by the weather. On the second day, no team could enter the field. Basically 90% sure that the match will be a draw. Because not even an innings is over yet. Pakistan will play at least 40 more overs. I don't know why their ranking is so low, but I consider them as one of the strongest associate nations. They haven't played a lot of matches lately, and that may be the reason why their ranking is low. I still remember the match between Namibia and England in 2003 world cup. At one point, Namibia was ahead in the D/L par score. ~
16 nations will participate in upcoming T20 world cup. Namibia is the last ranked team among them. All other nations staying ahead of Namibia in the Men's T20I Team Rankings. ICC should take some steps so that lower rank teams can gradually improve their performance. If you recieve a zip file or a .rar file as an attachment then never download it and immediately delete that mail. In general, if you receive an attachment from an unknown sender then always block that sender. This is applicable to any platform from where you can receive attachments.
OP this is not new it is a very old and effective instrument that hackers and scammers to date still use it. People do fall for such mail and then lose everything.
