I don't think we're going to see a huge take off like 2 years ago but i'm sure we'll see more sideways movement with a slow uptrend eventually, but i do agree that we're going to see a more targeted growth im platforms and coins that have tangible use cases, it just makes sense people are tired of pie in the sky coins with no real usecase

Neuroneum project could be one of them. Although they are in the earliest stage of the project and no MVP yet, they’ve got a whitepaper that could be an amazing mining model once launched.

I think if they are able to have an mvp in place it would help them greatly; I understand the card may not be feasible to have this early on but the miner could very well be built and even the marketplace.

Exactly, MVPs do go a long in solidifying investors trust in a project and like you said, the card might not come this early at least but the miner should do just fine in letting investors know how serious they are.

That’s right. I really hope they are working on a making a big announcement on a huge move. Very confident the team would have amazing tokens sales after that.

Hoping for the big announcement too. The type that will change thw whole narrative of their token sale. Coming to think of it I have not really seen any big announcements from this team.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - MinedBlock - STO - Pre-Sale Live 15th February on: February 23, 2019, 08:25:55 PM

The plan is definitely to buy back tokens but not all of them. We will aim to reduce the supply by up to 50% over time. The reason being if you held 1% at the start of the project and held onto them indefinitely, by the time we reduce the supply your 1% becomes 2% of the total. Add to that the planned growth of the service and you should receive a significantly larger amount of value that you did at the start.

We don't want to create a speculative token, we want our token holders to keep holding because the monthly payouts provide real value and to support that the founding team will only personally make money from this project through their own token holding so if our investors don't get paid then neither do we.

Nice to get replies from the team directly. This kind of interaction gives good hope for the people around here. 50% of the tokens for buyback? What kind of timeframe are we talking about here?

Yeah agree on you, its so nice that the admin keep on responding and being active not only in telegram but also in the thread.

I would understand that’s because it’s the first STO from a mining project and they have an experience team that would do all it takes to get this right. First, they took a bold step by being the first mining project to promote investors from harsh regulations.

To think yesterday that I said they wouldn't burn any tokens? Or will they burn the tokens that are bought back or sold back to big investors?

They can only burn tokens if they make that as an option to unsold tokens, usually it is made known by the team before hand

Just read what is said in the messages above. They will spend 5% of their profits to buy back tokens and send these tokens to a dead ETH address and remove them from circulation (burn them) this way.

I am in crypto market for almost 2 years now, but never saw such unique fair strategy.
Quoting reason of this kinda creative  'burn' theory from whitepaper:
The primary aim of the buy back will be to reduce the supply and increase the ‘return per token held’ by customers

Isn't this amazing way to keep alive and booming the ICO... Great job devs...

Actually, buy-backs are a pretty common strategy. But normal ICOs have the risk to get deemed a security token when they are offering a buy-back program.

What is the effect of sending the tokens to a dead eth address. Will this reduce their total supply in any ways? Or is it seen as another method of burning tokens? I really don't get it.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - MinedBlock - STO - Pre-Sale Live 15th February on: February 22, 2019, 06:38:47 PM
I see them bringing plenty of new things, regulated things from the last ones. Its actually true how market  is being manipulated! So their idea of This much regulation makes sense despite me being a hater of This KYC stuff!
Why do people hates this KYC stuff? i just dont get its for the safetyness.

I think they don't want to give their private information for security purposes and some project have KYC that become scam and get all the people private information with them and I think they are using it for something.

You are right. In the crypto world you can't easily trust anybody with your private information. Because you do not know what will be done with that information.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 📢🔥[ANN]NEURONEUM - Best In Decentralized Cloud Computing & Crypto-Mining🔥📢 on: February 22, 2019, 06:35:23 PM
So does anyone have more information about when their private sale will end? Some time ago someone mentioned here that it should be over soon but nobody knows the exact date, it seems.

I don't know the exact date also and I want to know it too but if you based and look to their road map ICO crowd sale will start on May 2019 so that before or on May 2019 private sale will sure come to end.

Private sale. I have no idea about that. But there is still a long way to go before the whole token sale ends for Neuroneum. So we all have to be a bit patient.

Nice observation there, consistent update is a very important aspect of blockchain projects and needs to be taken with utmost seriousness. That being said, I hope the current market improvement will help their course as well.

Market is definitely in the verge of breakout most likely on the north direction. All the good and quality ICOs will also get attention during this breakout of it happens very fast.

Some huge adoption from financial institutions like we seen from JPMorgan, could be the reason. More adoption and less restrictions in countries would be great for neuroneum.

Wow jp Morgan is planning on diving into cryptocurrency. Where have I been all this while. I need to search for this news if it is true.

You could miss out on weekly announcements on neuroneum. Follow up on neuroneum social media and chats: http://t.me/neuroneum
https://neuroneum.io
https://www.facebook.com/neuroneum

I did not know they were doing weekly updates; Anyways it is a given for anyone to invest to follow all of the channels for constant updates; Otherwise they would make for lousy investors.

There are weekly announcements? When I look at their Twitter account, there isn't really that much project-related information available. That is something they should really try to improve. Communication and transparency is key if they want to convince more people about their project.

I am curious too, They have not actually come out with any tangible development to begin this weekly updates. we are all waiting to hear of any positive development news from them though.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - MinedBlock - STO - Pre-Sale Live 15th February on: February 20, 2019, 05:07:00 PM
Being the first mining project issuing security tokens, Minedblock is set to make a difference with future events to give more value to these tokens, like token burn.

Many project that I participated they burn the tokens that not been sold to their tokens sale but in mining project I think burning token is not an option.

Yeah, I guess security tokens won't have token burnings. But the value for these tokens come from the 'dividends' that are paid out to token holders.

Is it even possible to burn security tokens? because this is a mining project where the tokens will be involved in a lot of their activities. I am just assuming though.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - MinedBlock - STO - Pre-Sale Live 15th February on: February 19, 2019, 07:02:25 PM
We have added the ability to invest using Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Binance Coin and Neo. These options are available once you have passed KYC and have been whitelisted.

Great job guys. It’s great to see more options other than bitcoin and Ethereum have been added. Is there a YouTube video to assist newbie on how to participate in token sale for STOs?

https://youtu.be/u9_PPF5OAWo
This video explains the service and the project.

The instructions on how to invest are detailed in the user dashboard when you pass KYC on our website https://www.minedblock.io

Thanks for this. It will be of great help to the community. Especially as many people are just hearing of STO for the first time.

I find that 2018 and 2019 is just heavily moving away from the open public ico's and seems to have a huge shift toward institutional and private sales which i think is good for the project but really does shrink the chances for the small guys getting into big projects at good rates early

The exchange is am open place where anyone could get tokens however it could go for even higher value compared to what is obtained during the ICO phase. I'm up for whatever brings in the much needed success to the project

Are Neuroneum considering moving towards institutional sales? That will be awesome for them and will add a lot of value to the project if they are successful.

It got to me while going through the minedblock Whitepaper first page that this have got to be the first mining STO we've got today, I invested in quite an handful of mining companies last year that promises a share of their revenue but are not able to scale due to the fact that they aren't registered yet by SEC

Investors are safe here  Shocked

In my opinion it might be still be too early to call as they are just beginning again. But from the way they have organised themselves, it seems like investors will be safe.

Yeah, and also they are Also STO now I believe minedblock have staged themselves to be a great project now let hope all goes well with this new approach

That's right, they have a great comeback when they have STO right now more people will participate and more investors will catch eyes to invest a project like this that have STO.

This is the first STO i have come across and I don't know how the public reacts to STO but from what I can see right now they are positive reviews everywhere
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 📢🔥[ANN]NEURONEUM - Best In Decentralized Cloud Computing & Crypto-Mining🔥📢 on: February 18, 2019, 09:03:00 PM
i think this project is longterm because ico crowdsale start may 2019. the target of softcap and hardcap is so high. we all know that investors are not very enthusiastic about following an ico because many are scam

I think this makes it more interesting. They got much more time to reach the softcap while everyone the opportunity to research on the project before you invest.

Definitely they have enough time left for any sale. I think their sales will be running for the most part of the year.

Isn’that too much? It’s much likely to affect the progress of the project. Would the project go on, without reaching the softcap?

I definitely am not a fan of long ICOs and setting high softcap and hardcap targets is definitely not something good at the moment. I hope they have a different story in the end.

Yeah, their softcap looks a bit unrealistic high with 15 million on the first glance. I think they need strong private investors to raise the most part of it  if they want to reach it.

15 million might look high but we have to look at the other things they might have planned and other budgets. Thwy definitely know why they set that amount. I have seen ico raised that much.

Neuroneum ICO platform should be up soon and team says it’s going to be lit. I guess the private sales are over. Best to wait for an official announcement.

Really where did you get this information from. Would like to read through it myself. Not a bad one if their platform is going to be launched at this time.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - MinedBlock - STO - Pre-Sale Live 15th February on: February 16, 2019, 07:15:13 PM
There's been a few questions on here about paying $2 for KYC which, hopefully, we've explained but we have a little promotional offer in the final hours before the pre-sale starts:

As there are less than 24 hours until out pre-sale opens we've decided that the next 500 people to sign up and email tokensales@minedblock.io once registered will get their KYC check for free (excludes US/Canada Accredited Investor check)

To get involved:
1. Head over to our website to sign up www.minedblock.io
2. Complete KYC ($2 charge which will be reimbursed with our tokens at a discount)
3. Once whitelisted and the sale opens send POLY to the smart contract and receive our tokens straight away!

That’s a great idea. I just signed up. I hope to be one of the lucky ones. $2 is a low bonus amount but I’ll take what I got. Success in your presale.
I didn't understand this deal. I registered it and whenever I am trying to verify account it's showing that we have to pay 2$ for it. It's almost nothing but why we have to pay this much amount do our verify account?

We decided to pass the KYC cost, at our cost price, onto investors. A few have questioned this but it is a way for us to filter out any time wasters. Imagine if we got 10,000 people sign up and no one invested in the token, we’d have a $20,000 bill for nothing.

We are reimbursing the $2 with discounted tokens (50% cheaper) so all you’d really be doing is buying your first few MBTX at a bigger discount

I really like this move from them. 2 dollars isn't really a much amount to pay for kyc and for the fact that they are going to reimburse users in mindblock tokens.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - MinedBlock - STO - Pre-Sale Live 15th February on: February 15, 2019, 06:33:58 AM
Why not factor the cost of KYC into the token rather than having investors pay for KYC? I know the FAQ says you are factoring KYC cost into discounts, but 50% discount is not unheard of in the industry. Paying for KYC just takes the loathsomeness of getting KYCed to a whole new level

A 50% discount? Well, that looks like giving tokens at no cost. Would the percentage bonus be much lower with a new phase of the token sale?

Just to clarify - the 50% discount is purely for tokens that we will distribute to reimburse the cost of KYC and Accredited checks.

So if you spend $2 on a KYC check we'll give you 30 MBTX at a price of $0.066 each instead of the $0.15 STO price.
If you spend $60 on an accredited investor check then we'll reimburse with 800 MBTX at a price of $0.075 each

The only other discount we are offering is during the pre-sale where we are running our raise only in POLY at a 1:1 ratio. Poly is currently fluctuating between $0.08 and $0.09. Our main sale will be 'pegged' to $0.15 and allow you to invest with POLY or ETH.

So you will have to pay $2 to get your KYC documents checked? Is this normal for an STO? Never had a project before that charged for this.

Wow!  Same question I am asking myself. But I know a lot of people will pay to get this done. Still I don't still get what is the benefits of STO tokens. Are they better than utility tokens.

CRyptocurrency Mining is a huge industry. Combining that with a much larger market for computing power would be much more tasking. How does the team plan to take on the task?

well as it stands right now i believe the team are putting things in place to make sure they achieve their goals, time will tell how they are going to make that happen

Crypto currency and tokens have a growing adaptation. More companies are looking to use Blockchain based projects for the speed, transparency and low transaction fee they offer. Neuroneum has an amazing future if they keep up with all in the whitepaper.

yeah, it seems a lot of people are getting involve with cryptocurrency now more than before i believe the good days of cryptocurrency will soon be a think we all enjoy

Crypto mining industry is one of the biggest industry that dominate the crypto world last year when many crypto goes up like bitcoin. So that until now many company and project are starting to create mining project.

But even mining giants like Bitmain had a really rough last year with a huge loss. So I would say that a lot of mining projects closed last year due to the bear market.

That's true many mining companies increasingly crashing down because of the market and many of the biggest mining companies are now gone or stop their services because the huge loss they acquired on the recent months last year.

Yeah. Last year was a pretty rough one for a lot of mining companies but i would like to think that they experienced lost because most if them started operations when we had high prices in the market.

I believe the team are aware of the intensity of the task involved and are putting up structures to ensure the project is successful. The whitepaper has some information about the structural issues which the developers intends to execute.

This is certainly a huge project. This would require a much larger team, fund and experience. BTW what experience does Neuroneum team have in cloud computing?

Nice question. I don't think anyone knows. Maybe it will be on their website or somewhere. But I think they would have advisers who are really experienced in that field.
