What happens if you add the -debug parameter in the shortcut? I'm nearly 100% in-sync, will be doing some testing. will test later, i have now other setup going on. edit: removing visual 2013 solved this one:" is crashing upon opening, even when started clean with an empty data folder. now downloading blocks again. + still crashing while downloading blocks but database did not corrupt anymore. |

I can confirm the latest wallet (v0.30.17.2-Win64) is crashing upon opening, even when started clean with an empty data folder.
EDIT:
Seems that starting the wallet with the -debug parameter starts it without issues on Windows 8.1 x64.

I'm having hell in the southern hemisphere. Been crashing a bit as well. Will wait for the next release. Tell me more about the crashes and we can fix it. Please keep in mind that this is a x64 release I have wiped all, for now I'm using a blank wallet. Will see how it goes. If it crashes again I'll give you the details. I am running bit so I don't see why it would be a problem. Just saddened by the no sync and inability to mine. But it will get there. As I write this after trolling the thread for all the nodes, I have managed 3 connections and as we speak I have made it to block one. Edit:  From there I have to close the software and then it starts from zero blocks again. found this one, is he a troll too? |

Create a link -> right mouse on link -> properties -> Compatibility -> check "run in comatibility-mode" and choose "windows 7" Save link and run the link. Delete from %appdata%\Bitcredit folders "bidtracker" and "database". After it will start without any problems if you have the correct chain. If not, start the wallet with -reindex. The hardcoded nodes are unavailable. Till then, I don't think that is a problem if you add by hand some nodes ... no, the problems is that im downloading the chain from zero.. i get file missing erros and db errors and runtime erros and.. once its fully sync->, after client restart chain is invalid.-->delete folders and dl again.. just not want to fight that now, must take look if there something in the source.. |

icm needs only 2 minutes of work and crave is dead.
only action he needs to do is start wallet and send the code.
That days ICM also could destroy the chain. So just stop spreading FUD and do something constructive. Can someone explain exactly how that would destroy the coin? All my research only shows that it could potentially disable some RPC commands until an ignore alert flag is added to the config file. Is it something different with the masternode/staking code? Anyone using RPC commands has (should have) enough experience to do this in 30 second. So what if he sends a key-compromised alert? Does this mean that satoshi, Gavin, and thyemos can all kill the bitcoin core if they wanted? I highly doubt that is the case. JJ yes it is issue with bitcoin too, who to trust. as already said they say btc has a failsafe system if one of devs will go mad. what ever their failsafe system is, dont know |

@cisahasa We are not worried about the exploits you mentioned because 1) they did not apply since we had not activated those features, and now that we are 2) we do not use the "spork" feature, rather i am using hard numbers ie blocks.
I would love nothing ore than to bring people together in cooperative effort, but my first loyalty is to those who have been with me for a while as community members and advisers. We always have open discussions in this thread and for most items the community decides. Just because they leave most decision making to me, does not mean they are powerless, they simply trust that i always function in a manner beneficial to the project. For a coin to be applicable in the proposed merger, one of the key items is community support, both the BCR community and the hxx community. Members of the "guest" community should express their interest in merging and we can all assess what each group brings to the table.
the thing about malicious behaviour on the BCR chain is that we have gotten pretty efficient at forking it out, the last fork was rather extended due to my untimely bad health, but for the most part we respond rather effectively to threats against the chain.
@ proletariat you are quite right, as we are an active community with enough ongoing development (current and planned) to last a few years, the decision on what we will host is ultimately ours. The public offer is one meant to increase cooperation and bring many people under a single banner, but not at the expense of existing members. Most of you guys who post here have been long term on this, all weather partners.
Let's give each other a chance and see what we can do if we put ours heads together.

I plan to make a public offer to any communities who whose coins lack a dev or, coins that have strong communities but no direction. The offer will be as follows :-
Our bidding process will be expanded with a secondary system that lists all accepted and interested coins, essentially we would encourage them to burn their coins and be allocated new coins on our chain. As it stands we have a 6 000 000 BCR fund that has remained untouched since the very first day , over the months there has never been any real use for it and now that we have moved to backing our coin with assets..it seems an unnecessary item. Rather than burn the coins or use them/sell whatever, i think it's a great opportunity to expand the BCR community while at the same time possibly draining value from other coins and adding it to our own.
We would of course have stringent requirements for a coin to qualify and include as much oversight as we can. I think that the potential increase in community size and subsequent interest in ideas like bidding, BN mining could have some serious benefits for all.

i still think we need to get the wallet running better. This way, new investors wont have so much trouble getting a wallet to work properly. Maybe a new thread with some updated information. What happened to the 8 bit logo?(on the thread) there is one possible code out there but i havent tested it yet. bitcredits source that he posted is not that one. i will help if i found loop holes. still 8-bit hates me.. maybe that i will work on master code; then i will share it for now it seems that i will postpone master work to better time actions to fix it will need more time than i have. |
