381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should We Be Panic Of ICO Ban? on: September 06, 2017, 02:24:00 PM
Panic is for the weak and newbies if you've been in crypto world for long time then you will not panic because this situation already happened many times. Few days all I can see is blood bath but look at now its already bouncing back so glad I did not panic.
As a newbie in cryptocurrencies, I feel panic because I am afraid of loosing my digital asset. Fortunately, I didn't sell my possesion at low price. Now, I follow most member suggestion here, and see that " everything is gone a be alright"  Like Bob Marley Lyric.

Certain people will always tell you things will be alright, while they are dumping away.
Best to use your brain and listen to yourself.
382  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC-e's Big Claim: Bitcoin Withdrawals to Begin Tomorrow on: September 06, 2017, 04:49:32 AM
Happy to get at least something back..but it isn't the ideal situation.
Are the IOU tokens meant to be traded on their own market or is it literally a static token to be able to make your claims at a later stage.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: September 05, 2017, 11:11:33 PM
The usd graph is a little better than the btc graph but damn, still looking quite harsh.
Hoping for some new development in the near future.
384  Economy / Economics / Re: Being a Smart Person or Strategic on: September 05, 2017, 04:46:34 PM
One would assume a smart person utilizes a smart strategy.
So the whole question is kind of moot.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese government banned all of ICOs on: September 05, 2017, 03:23:03 AM
I think not only ICOs,but also cryptocurrency, need to be regulated, thus can have a long-tren healthy development.
We should reject bad coins and hug good coins and good technology.

Bitcoin was always the currency of the people, regulation only take us away further from that.
And  I don't mean regulating ico's but crypto as a whole.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Latest news - BANNING from Russia, Korea AND China on: September 05, 2017, 12:53:46 AM
That's going fast all of the sudden, and I bet more countries will follow.
Kind of annoying this is happening now when btc was mooning so nicely.
387  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-09-04]‘Black Monday’: The People’s Bank of China Declares ICOs Illegal on: September 04, 2017, 03:57:48 PM
They had it coming.. I haven't always followed alts closely, but lately I have and a lot seem to be obvious money grabs.

Let anyone that helps you help you through this thread so they cannot deceive you.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best crypto to buy now? on: September 03, 2017, 12:11:15 PM
You should do your own research, not saying that to be mean but because it's the best option.
390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: September 02, 2017, 03:34:49 PM
It's worth money but has so many different properties I wouldn't call it money.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steem pyramid scheme revealed on: September 02, 2017, 11:12:31 AM
I'm unsure, but have heard several people say writing the steemit articles isn't really worth their time? i.e not earning them much.
Is it the way they write articles, is it worth it for the average person?
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH wallet on: September 02, 2017, 11:09:04 AM
it's "myetherwallet" .
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: September 02, 2017, 02:22:10 AM

It's time to buy DOGE, trending up. If any news regarding development come out, it will just explode...

When do you think it will reach $1?

lol it would have to become bigger than bitcoin for that to happen.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Multi-Coin-Wallet do you use? on: September 02, 2017, 02:08:32 AM
I have tried jaxx recently, seemed "ok".
Ill try out coinomi when it's available.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2017-08-29]Ethereum Plans Metropolis Release in September on: September 02, 2017, 02:06:50 AM
Going 'proof of stake' soon?

Oh good, then those that hold the 72,000,000 premined coins can control the network completely, and instead of the top 3% of the addresses mock voting for a 'fork' like they did during the DAO hack, it will be totally legit this time. Yup.

Oh, maybe this time they actually get a 'Dapp' that works and won't crash the network such as everytime an ICO launches...? because smart-contracts!

Go Ethereum!

/s

72 million premine?  Undecided
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] bitJob: Decentralized Student Marketplace for Online Jobs on: September 02, 2017, 12:25:38 AM
It's ok but could easily be run without a specific token as well.
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There are so many fud articles today on: September 01, 2017, 04:30:24 AM
I'm an older bitcoiner and judging from the fud I've been reading on bitcointalk alone these past few days, it has become a gazillion times worse.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A new bitcoin fork? on: August 31, 2017, 10:02:57 PM
Been out of touch for a while, seems the mining game has changed. And selling most of my stack early was the wrong choice. I have some left to claim Wink

I'm trying to get into altcoins, but I don't like the idea of bch, and regular old miners like me can't mine this.
399  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Best CPU miner (for mining pools) on: March 30, 2013, 09:23:46 PM
Thanks crazyearner  and matt4054.

That software works just fine. I'm now on my way to fame, and fortune! (Or maybe just ruin, we'll see.)
400  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Best CPU miner (for mining pools) on: March 27, 2013, 12:26:42 PM
Thanks for your comments. However, that doesn't really answer my question.

What is the best software? I wish to confirm for myself whether or not it is viable for myself. I don't need lectures about how it is uneconomic etc. I understand what you are saying, people where saying the same thing two years ago. Regardless, I am still interested in just seeing what my current computer can do.

So, any advice on the best CPU miner? Must run on Ubuntu 12.04, and be able to connect to a pool (probably slush's).

Thanks...
