First off I would like to state that I have huge respect and confidence toards casascius and he's wonderful product. I own some and use them to store bitcoin. Out of this respect I attempted contacted him before making this post, I did not get a reply in what I consider a reasonable time.
1. The current and future bitcoin prices have made it viable to forge casascius coins. The way I see this happening is a malicious party aquires legit funded casascius coin and blanks. Or produces the blanks himself. 2. After that he proceeds to replicate the holographic, tamper proof seal. As I am sure some of you are aware there are services available online who forge concert tickes and likes. 3. Said party exchanges the forged coins and the original for fiat or goods.
I myself will nolonger be accepting physical coin as payment, before I move the bitcoin within under a different private key.

It's a decent hashrate, but purchasing it only to mine bitcoins could be a bad desicion. If you have a need for a such computer otherwise, go for it. Make sure you keep your 7970's nice and cool. I'd reccomend staying below 72c, or less.

One thing Mt.Gox could do is release what information they have on the attack(s). We all know it's a botnet of infected computers, but I would not count out the bitcoin community out from doing detective work and more.

1110 - 1650 Mhs, depending on your luck with the cards, overclocking and wether or not your willing to loose the crossfire (it can only hurt your hashrate). But tbh thats more of a gaming pc.

Osta bitcoin. (Finnish) Bitcoin ostaminen. (Finnish, propably the most likeley search term)

I have a theory: Mt. Gox's physical security is not enough to store all offline coins at their site. Somewhere out there is an armored vehicle stuck in traffic, delivering a usb-stick.

I wont be using this service anymore.

I've searched and found nothing similar or certainly not posted recently so I thought I'd share what I'm doing to help this thing.
1) Ask your favourite online retailers if they plan to accept Bitcoin. No need to go into a spiel - many may be considering it already but the volatility might be a negative factor. See this is a simple registering of interest.
Done. 2) Tell your friends about Bitcoin. Don't be preachy, don't be techy. Just link to a plain English, non-biased (yeah I know!) explanation of what Bitcoin is and what it has done recently. Perhaps drop in the caveats "What goes up.." Past performance is not an indicator..." etc.
Done. 3) Get a friend of family member to buy 1 BTC - damn this now reads like a pyramid scheme. Perhaps just ask, don't force. Now all my family know about it. Even my Mum asked "Where can I buy them?" <- Bears you may now reply using the word bubble or crash as you see fit.
Cannot be done. I feel so sorry for everyone I "offered the red pill" to around me. My Bitcoin news posting on social networking mostly tends to fall on deaf ears but a couple of the more smart friends have asked me to explain more, which I have done. Perhaps in a year or two I will retroactively become their best friend ever when they come to cash in their pet Bitcoin Done, but very much deaf ears, I cant even spark up a debate. Anything else anyone would like to add?
Offer goods or services for bitcoin, tell your employer that you wouldn't mind accepting part of your salary in bitcoin.

Reading this, unfortunateley agreeing with it, being someone who has talked and taught bitcoin for the past 14 months to anyone willing to listen and ask. Im seriously considering getting a huge tattoo over my chest:" THIS WORLD IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME." or "BTCecause this world is not good enough for me." Please talk me out of it.

Just curious.
I come into work some days thinking, holy crap...I made more money last night than I will make all day at work.
Im trying to suppress similiar toughts, very hard. It's not time for them yet, atleast for me.

Whoops, the filter was not active in the search queries. Can you please check again and confirm?
Working as intended now, thank you.

This is something you might want to show sceptics who say bitcoin has no use.

Feature request: Items from (the zone I can have them shipped from without paying 24% VAT), in my case this would be the Eu. Im sure other regions with protectionistic customs duties could also benefit from this.
Your wish is my command. Check out the country dropdown on the top right of the site. Update:- Item pagination on user page - Added European Union to country/region filter New Geo targeting features: - Privacy settings for geo targeting - Distance search filter (currently only available for registered users) Sadly the Eu selection shows items shipping from the Us, so something is wrong or you misunderstood my point. Which is the 24% VAT I get slapped with at customs.

Unfortunately for this bet, Luke posted 36 minutes after April 1. Does the bet specify a timezone? I think this is going to be hotly debated. The parameters of the bet a the bottom specifically refer to Eastern Time, but the words of the bet do not, so it seems that there is some wiggle room on either side. I suppose local pickup and shipping can also be considered two different things.

I cant draw for s**t, but my small bitcoin e-commerce states: "Images: I hereby give free permission to reporters, bloggers, etc. use any images found on this webpage in their online or printed content. Infact I'd lke to urge you to do so, Im sick and tired of seeing the 3 same images allover news sources covering anything bitcoin related."
Havent caught anyone using them, but I sure wouldnt mind the free publicity.

and today is APRIL 1
+1 This. The most unfortunate coincidence ever or trolling gone pro ?

I put every item in stock on a -25% sale during April 1.st, not sure how bad it'll get but I am a bit anxious right now. Apart from that I guess I should of have gone full retard on bitcoin earlyer, 10/10 hindsight.

Also, should I put these cards in crossfire or no?
Asfar as I know crossfire can only hurt your Mhs.

Hi, what do you think about this one ? Virtex-7 2000T: Designed with ASIC Prototyping and Emulation in Mind - FPGA enabled by Stacked Silicon Interconnect (SSI) technology delivers 2 million logic cells, 6.8 billion transistors in 28 nm design. Around 20W @ 100 MHz (3600 8 bit processing elements consumed 85% chip capacity providing 180 000 MIPS) http://www.xilinx.com/applications/asic-prototyping/index.htmoops - do they really cost 5000 USD each ? I wouldnt know if that could mine or not. What I know for sure that the needed bitstream does not exist and making one is no trivial task. See here to what lenghts the community had to go inorder to get the cairnsmores for example utilized when the hardware manifacturer was struggling to provide a useable bitstream: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=94317.0
