Can't wait for the start of the next season. This should be another exciting one as more players are showcasing their talents for different teams. I would love to see Kristaps Porzingis takeover the New York Knicks and unleash the full potential and hopefully become an All-Star. The West is still pretty predictable with the Warriors looking stronger than ever, while the East could be anybody's ballgame, given how the Bucks, the Wizards, and of course the Celtics have gained confidence in the last playoffs, but the Cavs could prove to still be the best in the East after all that's been said and done.

I've been excited to see the start of this season to see on how everyone is doing with their practice, adjustments with the new rosters and teammates. I'll keeping an eye all the time with Bucks, I just want to see this NBA league not to be dominated by the same team each season, give some doors to the new outstanding teams but they need to work harder.

Bucks is a young team and will be ready soon. A little bit more experience for the stars of this team and they will be ready to dominate Eastern conference. I am also looking forward for this team to be the next champion, if it gets managed right.

Bucks, Sixers (and maybe Celtics!) are the future of the Eastern Conference no doubt about it, the likes of Raptors, Bulls and Knicks are all falling off the wagon. The Knicks do have a young pair to develop for the future but with all due respect to Knicks fans, they always seem to find a way to screw it all up so I never hold my breath for them.

Another young team with a lot of heart is the Hornets, they don't have star players but their core is solid, they just need a couple of good players to make the jump to the next level.

What are your opinions on Tyrion? Why is he very concerned about who Daenerys sleeps with? He was acting the same way with Dario Naharis and adviced Dany to leave him in Essos in season 6.

Will there be another twist in the story? Is Tyrion really a snake like Littlefinger?
One of the theory suggests that he made a shady deal with cerise after he heard that she was pregnant, and what why he was lurking outside of Dany's cabin maybe because he felt guilty for making that deal. Another theory says that may he tyrion has become the new Jorah and that why wasn't so cool about Dany and Jon hooking up.

Lol, I don't think so, I think it's pretty evident that Tyrion as the hand of the queen needs to be concerned about this. Kinda like a relationship in the workplace, what if the relationship doesn't work? You still need to go to work and work with your ex. This is the same, and to add fuel to the fire, one could argue that when Jon Snow (and Daenerys) learn about his heritage there could be some issues (yes, incest!). This could create a lot of tension and that could spill into strategic decisions going forward.

To me that's all there is to this scene, he was worried because he was thinking long term.

Been reading this recent news about the recent big trade between Cavs and Celtics. Looks like things aren't over and we might see another surprises in more days to come.

Cavs To Consider Voiding Kyrie Irving Trade After Evaluating Isaiah Thomas

http://fadeawayworld.com/2017/08/26/breaking-cavs-to-consider-voiding-kyrie-irving-trade-after-evaluating-isaiah-thomas/

Anyways just a rumor.

Hip injury? I thought that was all recovered. Anyways, I've never heard of a trade void before, because of an injury. Would this be the first in case?

Another twist in the ongoing drama about the trade. It could be included in the contract as well, that they can void it once they see that Isiah Thomas is not fit to play in exchange of a healthy Kyrie Irving. Well its just a rumor and we will have to what for the next episode of this soap opera.

I also guessing that the extent of the injury of Isiah Thomas is not that big and he has already recovered. He's injury in not life threatening that he can't play anymore. But still though, maybe Cavaliers management just wanted to make sure because they are giving up their no. 2 scorer in the team.

Or it could be a bluff by the Cavs to get more assets from Boston.
can consider that mate as we knew that cavs really aiming again for another rematch against gsw and doing everything to make sure that they have that edge because losing kyrie will be a big adjustment though they've got thomas and  Crowder but still its different when kyrie who really can manage the floor without lbj inside, let see how this drama will end and how the season will start.

Actually, I've read an article analyzing the Cav's offense. There they conclyded that Kyrie, on his own, without LBJ on the floor, isn't very efficient, as compared to LBJ alone in the floor without Kyrie. So it suggests that it's Kyrie that needs LBJ in the team and not the other way around.
That's pretty obvious, Kyrie is good but Lebron is better than him, there is a reason why Lebron is a high paid athlete and has won championships in different team. When Lebron want anything he gets it, that's how valuable he is in the team now that he has proven he can give championship to the team.

Kyrie Irving is a deadly scorer, perhaps the one with the most killer instinct especially down the stretch but that's it sadly, he's not a good defender, not a good rebounder or even passer. He's of course lethal when he is on fire. I still think he's doing the right thing here if he doesn't want to progress in developing his game (like Kevin Love did). If he's just looking to be a star every night, take 25-30 shots, well he needs to go to another team, the Cavs doesn't have that many shots to spare plus he and Lebron get a lot of isolation plays and the rest of the team chemistry suffers.

Irving would do well but he's very far from being able to win on his own. I would compare him to a poor's man Harden. On the other hand, he already has a ring and he's a Cavaliers legend, no one can take that away from him.

No doubt that he can really score but can he bring any team and become a champion? Remains to be seen. Yeah, he is like Harden, but Harden has many good supporting cast and eventhough he is a lethal scorer, still he can't bring Houston to the finals. Just proves that basketball is really a team sport and no matter how good you are 1:1 if you don't pass or rebound then you will be having a hard time reaching at least the semis. Let see how Kyrie really adapt to Celtics, maybe in a year or two when he has matured enough in his role with the team we can really see his full potential as franchise player.

Well for starters Irving deal is not finished so we'll see, if he ends up in the Celtics he may not win this year but if Lebron leaves in the next, then the Celtics definitely have a shot for the Eastearn Conference title at least (that if Lebron goes to a Western Team). As for Harden, he's that type of player in my opinion, I would say Irving is even a more professional, serious type of player even with his limitations.

Harden has plenty of talent but he has no will to win or persevere, at least yet in my opinion, we'll see how Chris Paul affects his game, either positively or negatively.

Exactly as many of us "predicted" McGregor went the distance and the fight was pretty entertaining but when Floyd really started boxing it was over. This sets up a possible rematch where McGregor will state that he'll prepare better and for the little he train he made a great fight. So the hype would be around that narrative "imagine if McGregor trains harder and gets better while Floyd gets a little older".

I hope this doesn't happen really and Floyd can retire in peace but we all know how much these two love money!

The Cavaliers-Celtics deal involving Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas could be on thin ice due to Thomas' hip injury.
If the trade ends up badly it will be glamorous!
The 2 players would play with little motivation!

Well the Celtics are definitely in a hard spot here, at the mercy of the Cavs turning down the deal or asking for more players due to renegotiation of the deal. Most likely all blame points to Boston medical staff and Ainge, they surely knew Thomas was not fit to play, maybe even for the full season but stated it was a minor injury. The medical staff at Cleveland must found out otherwise.

I think the deal will go through perhaps with some modifications but it would be the best to avoid a pretty ugly situation. If the deal falls through Irving will still get traded to the Bucks or Suns but I don't know what Boston will do with Crowder and IT...they will sure want out asap.

While i certainly think that the trade worked out for both teams, Cleveland got the better hand here. Not only do they get a scorer whose offensive game is as potent as Kyrie's, but they also got a decent defender in Crowder.

However, Kyrie can now take Boston to the next level if he is take his offensive game up a notch . What do you guys think about Bostons offence now?

Its already giving me chills, the offensive potential of this Celtics lineup. Kyrie himself is a monster while it comes to offense and with the likes of Avery Bradley, a highly rated shooting guard with an impressive 3P shooting record, it only gets better. Also, with the likes of Gordon Hayward and Al Horford adding to the rebounding ability, Kyrie could make use of all these good players to make it to the finals.

You forgot that the Cavs got a first round pick on next year's draft too. So the Kyrie trade did pay them off well.

In no way did I mean it was a bad trade for the Cavs, I was just talking about Boston's offensive prowess from lumeire's quote.
The trade is mutually beneficial for both teams as the Cavs got hold of IT whose a sneaky PG and combining him with the likes LeBron and you have a force to reckon with. The addition of Crowder boosts the overall defense too.

The Celtics still don't have what it takes to compete with the Cavs so I don't think the comments from Ainge saying that they needed to upgrade after the East Finals are correct. I mean, he's right but I don't think these Celtics will give Cleveland any trouble. However as I mentioned some posts ago, what if Lebron leaves next year to a Western Conference team?

I think that's what the Celtics are betting on, if that happens they will reign in the East for many years to come with this roster and up and coming young players, so in that way it was a bold and interesting move.
392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: August 24, 2017, 01:33:03 PM

Boston wants to be on the higher stage now for getting Kyrie Irving.

I don't know if they are the winner for this trade or Cleveland Cavaliers. But most of analysts here are saying that Cavs got this deal for real.

Why most people saying the Cavs won the deal?

It's because of promising players that Celtics gave up just for Kyrie Irving. Without the effort of Isiah Thomas and Jae Crowder, we can't see Boston Celtics rised again at the playoffs. IT is one of the big reason why Celtics gets to the top again and now they traded this guy without hesitation. Another one is 2018 first round pick. It may become a superstar someday but they gambled it. Once season game started, let's see if Boston Celtics also won the deal.
We have to realize that IT4 is already 28 years old and last season's performance might have been his peak already. Also, the Celtics are not sure if they are going to give him max contract by end of next season, so rather than losing him for nothing, they got a younger player who is still in contract for the next few years. But then again, we wouldn't know how things willl really turn out until we see how the Cavs and the Celtics turn out to be 5 years from now.

I don't agree with that, IT being 28 years and reaching his prime? Come on, 28 for basketball is so young! He's playing his best years, especially a small guy like him. I do agree that he's somewhat limited because of his size but that's nothing new, so his ceiling would not be as high as other more dominant players, however that doesn't mean he can't score +20 ppg all season long, he's a very reliable scorer and a dead cold clutch one too. In that way he's very similar to Irving. I would say he's even a better defender but he's hindered by his height again, but you can't blame him for that.

Now Irving has a lot of defensive and concentration lapses, sometimes you can see he has what it takes to be a good defender (with blocks and steals) but most other times it's just baffling.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: August 23, 2017, 06:44:30 PM
Yes, I hold alot of ETH than BTC. ETH big spike trend will happen later, I don't feel worried if it decreased though. Because my motivation to hold ETH for long term. That way, i can be calm because i want to harvest huge money from ETH.

That is right . I think the ETH price is consolidating now.

The price has been going sideways for a while so the market jumped a little, I think it's safe to assume that ETH was passing and still is in consolidation as you said. We'll see what happens when news on development and next release start to pour, I think the rally will be much more cautious compared to the start of the year but it will most likely happen.

Bitcoin price would be crucial of course but there's still a long way until November drama (and that could be overexaggerated), hopefully it remains somewhat stable.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: August 23, 2017, 06:27:47 PM
It's clear my Cavs got the better end of this deal, just think about it Thomas is a lesser version of Irving true but Crowder is perhaps the best defender in the East and a huge addition to the Cavs to stop Durant. But besides that they get an interesting young prospect in Zizic plus a very valuable 2018 pick (could be top 5!) if they go to rebuilding mode next year.

However, Boston shouldn't be too hard on themselves, if Lebron leaves next year the Celtics will be kings in the East (unless LBJ stays with team from the East (NYK maybe?).
395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather Vs McGregor: Info and prediction thread on: August 20, 2017, 05:18:33 PM
I really don't see how McGregor can win against Mayweather, for starters it will basically be the end of boxing as a sport basically, although that already started many years ago. If an MMA fighter is better than an active boxing legend then you know the sport is a joke. I know Mayweather is old (it's not that old either for boxing) but that's no excuse, he's been praised as one of the best, perhaps the best defensive boxer of all times.

Now what I think will happen: McGregor will hang in there for a couple of rounds while Mayweather test him, McGregor may even land a couple of punches (nothing major) to the surprise of the audience. Eventually Mayweather will start attacking and may even may him go down a few times but no KO. He will most likely win as a technical decision or by points (by far) and McGregor will keep his dignity and a rematch will be in the cards (more money!).

I won't give out any big spoilers but be warned if you haven't seen the leaked episode yet...

While it was certainly full of fan service moments and action it was one of the most poorly written and embarrassing of the series in my opinion. The teleportation issues are going full retard, it's getting so ridiculous I'm laughing out loud lately. This one in particular is the worst, similar distances were covered in almost a full season earlier and now they are 12-24 hours away and happen on a single episode lol!

The ending was definitely an iconic moment to be remembered, it was expected after the outcome of the battle but it was still pretty cool.

398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: August 16, 2017, 11:06:06 PM
Looks like New York Knicks will probably turned down the offer to get Kyrie Irving in exchange for Kristaps Porzingis. Well if Im on the Knicks I will do the same. I see Kristaps Porzingis will improved more and can be a role player on a team. I also see my long time idol Dirk Nowitzki to this guy.

Well Cavaliers really targeting younger players and that is good for the future of the franchise as no doubt some members of rosters are kinda on their mid peak now so they really need those.

The younger the stronger and more endurance they can have for a longer time of playing. And that's why they are training this more and getting the young ones for their team. I don't really know on where Kyrie Irving will go because of this issue, does anybody here have an insight on what team he is going to after having some negative chance with NYK?

I can only speculate that he still open and shopping for a team. And of course Cavaliers is looking for the best option that they can get if they are going to release him to any team. And since the news broke out with NYK, he is back to square one again. I guess we have to wait a little longer to see what team is he officially moving.

Apparently Lebron James won't be back with the Cavs next year (an NBA source said) so the Cavs are looking to get a young prospect in exchange of another (Irving). I think the Knicks should do it honestly, they will get a huge franchise player and a proven all star, it will great for NY marketing team. Porzingis of course is a great player but I don't know if it fits in NY that well, I mean, he seems destined to be in another team in my opinion, a more serious contender.

It helps that Irving is pushing this trade to happen supposedly so we'll see what happens. I would even unload Thompson alongside Irving to be honest to make it happen.
