I agree with genjix. Although I don’t like the light blue, but that may be personal preference.

How cool!  Is there a recording online somewhere?  How big is your audience?

It's hour number two of the episode dmp1ce linked: http://traffic.libsyn.com/ftl/FTL2011-03-16.mp3 (Hour 2 starts at approx 40 mins in.)

Audience size varies by when we are on, but the 2nd hour is carried on more radio stations than our first.  Add to our dozens of stations a few thousand internet listeners.  Not a huge show, but also not small either.
I enjoyed listening to this episode today. Have you thought about accepting Bitcoin for donations yet? Wink

You should definitely update the screenshot on silkroadmarket.org from time to time, so that users won’t be discouraged by a low transaction count etc.
3825  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Get shops to accept Bitcoins on: March 17, 2011, 02:14:35 PM
I started a piratepad where we can try to write something which explains why businesses should consider using bitcoins as a payment option.  You can just link to bitcoinme, but I think sending an email that says "accept bitcoins, see more here" is not going to win anyone over.  In any case you can read and edit the pad here.  It is by no means done, but its a start.
I think this deserves more attention. We certainly need a good summary of the benefits for merchants if we want them to accept Bitcoin. This way, we can just email them all with some personalized changes and get the word out.

New suggestions for shops/services are also welcome, I’ll keep the list up-to-date.

Recht so, mach dir keinen Stress wegen deiner Seite.

Re: the logo. Could we please be careful with the Thai Baht B thing? The logo is really cool but it is for a currency that has existed for much longer than BitCoin ...
I wouldn’t say that it looks like ฿. Also, the official logo has the same kind of B (favicon of bitcoin.org and the client’s logo). I like skull88’s logo better.
3830  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bounty for Bitcoin Animated Movie [13622.05 BTC ($2520) and growing] on: March 09, 2011, 09:56:47 PM
That looks fantastic!
I second that. Really looking forward to that video – and spreading it of course. Smiley

Well, I’m in.

How about using the bitcoin logo that use binary as the official logo?

You can thanks skull88 for the logo.

+ 10

That is just golden... Literally & metaphorically.

3834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Targeted advertisement - Who would BitCoins appeal the most to? on: March 05, 2011, 09:08:17 PM
You're missing the entire point of bitcoins.

Oh? Educate me then Smiley
Bitcoin’s not about mining.
3835  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How do you see MtGox (objective, not rigged poll) on: March 05, 2011, 03:45:45 PM
There’s no poll (yet?) in this thread.
3836  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin "From" address, can i change it? on: March 05, 2011, 03:16:28 PM
Sounds good, vladimir. A key could be very well used as a form of authentification instead of an email. The advantage would be that you can create keys much more easily and faster than emails, plus you have a better overview.
3837  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin "From" address, can i change it? on: March 05, 2011, 11:14:48 AM
So if i had 3 people send me 50 BTC each at the same time...i cant tell which 50 came from which person.?
You should create a new address for everything and name it. This way you’ll know and gain some anonymity.
3838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to grow the Bitcoin idea? on: March 04, 2011, 04:41:50 PM
without realizing that gold itself is not backed by anything either.

Anyway, all I'm saying is that sometimes it's hard to convince non-geek gold-worshipers of the advantages of bitcoins.

I don't want to side track this thread but Gold is rare and peak gold production was in 2001/2003...world production is in decline despite world record prices = good fundamentals.
3839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can my Bitcoins be stolen? on: March 03, 2011, 10:29:58 PM
Are we re-inventing the banknote here?  Undecided
No. It’s just the key to your BTC wealth.
3840  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: New pool with proportional and pay-per-share reward distribution, ~30 Gh/s on: March 03, 2011, 08:23:17 PM
There is already a lot of competition between pools, so this isn’t an issue (anymore).
