Completely agree. The Manipulator is an excuse for bad trading so you can self-victimize.

Also, I like arepo, please continue posting. Much better than a FlipPro. Grin

In that case, let’s see if you can call the low when it happens.
3243  Economy / Speculation / Re: KNIFE IMMINENT on: January 27, 2012, 06:03:55 PM
So did we move from pessimism to panic yet?
3244  Economy / Speculation / Re: KNIFE IMMINENT on: January 27, 2012, 05:05:47 PM
The speculators in this section really need to do some soul searching, and find out why this project is special, instead of ZOMG GOTTA MAKE GREEN BACKS ASAP!
U jelly bro?

Also, I prefer to make some Bitcoins. Cool
3245  Economy / Speculation / Re: I can't believe the margin traders haven't liquidated. on: January 27, 2012, 04:42:08 PM
Last Tuesday obviously wasn't a violent enough beating to knock sense into people.  I think the worst is yet to come, unfortunately.  Bitcoinica has turned out to be the best worst thing to happen to bitcoin yet.
So true.

Somehow, Bitcoin never fails to surprise in this regard. There is ALWAYS something completely ruining trust in it. Anyone want to take bets on what it’ll be post bitcoinica?
3246  Economy / Speculation / Re: I can't believe the margin traders haven't liquidated. on: January 27, 2012, 04:23:04 PM
What do you think, proudhon? Bitcoinica is completely fucking up the depth in both directions.

How will this all end?

3249  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Technical Analysis & other financial markets (bitcoinbullbear.com) on: January 27, 2012, 01:18:46 PM
He hasn't always been a bull. He is a bull when the trend is up and there is no evidence that it isn't up. Even the short term is, you heard it, up, from $4.6.
If you only consider trendlines, then

Short term trend is down since 6.2, one might argue up since 5.05.

Mid term up since 4.64, trendline was tested at 5.05.

Long term up since slightly below 2, trendline not tested since 19th Dec.

Mid/long term indicators continue to be bearish and implying that 7.2 was a bear market retracement.

fundamentals
Grin Grin Grin Grin

Also, if you can "pretty much guarantee" it’ll be closer to 5 than 2, you probably can also pretty much guarantee price will rise and that it won’t go below 2. In that case, I suggest you take all of your Bitcoins to MtGox and buy more Bitcoins with them as margin. Possibly you could also use 2.5 leverage if you are confident it won’t go below 4.
3251  Economy / Speculation / Re: shit, shit, shit on: January 27, 2012, 11:14:55 AM
Not selling a single BTC. Buying more if it drops really low. Nothing has fundamentally changed to not be bullish about Bitcoin long term, there have been some confidence breakers recently but nothing compared to what we had after the big bubble. I will ride this one out and see you on the other side. That could be in 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. Doesn't matter.

I did quite well in the last half a year  doing the opposite to what you were advising: selling when you were so enthusiastic and then buying when you started posting more balanced notes.
SHHH, you’re screwing up my contrarian indicators!
3252  Economy / Speculation / Re: shit, shit, shit on: January 27, 2012, 07:44:34 AM
I'll never get out.  I don't trade.  Everything I have in this is play money Smiley
11k play money? You’ve got too much of it. Grin
3253  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Daily Speculation Poll] :: Not to worry the wall at 5.20, is made of solid gold on: January 27, 2012, 02:56:16 AM
I'm holding on to my BTC and waiting for the way up again which will come once people start to buy back. Let's test 7.22 again!

3254  Economy / Speculation / Re: Controlled Drop, or has the manipulator run out of steam? on: January 27, 2012, 02:46:08 AM
Don't ignore bitcoinica's influence on this.  I saw the 9k bid get eaten up like it was nothing.  This has been a bear move that is essentially a boon to new buyers from The Good Wife and other sources.  The rate of bitcoin innovation is expanding and new bitcoin only shops are starting up all the time.  I'm a long term bull, any time is a good time to buy bitcoins.
The long-term double digit bagholders want to have a talk with you!
3255  Economy / Speculation / Re: I can't believe the margin traders haven't liquidated. on: January 27, 2012, 02:16:49 AM
Let's end it. End it here and save us another round of this. The leverage party has been on crack for a month now, it's high time. Let it go.
This. Someone mercy kill the leveraged bulls. You could even do it via Bitcoinica itself, they still allow 10:1 for smaller funds (use multiple accounts).

Bomber Bitcoinica, do it again!

3257  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will it happen? on: January 27, 2012, 12:59:26 AM
When will a large fish knock out all the Bitcoinica longs, post a screen of his position on 10:1 short and get raped by a whale?  Grin
u cant do that anymore 10:1 caped at 2000 USD 5:1 capped at 20 000 USD 2.5:1 is uncapped

Simply create as many accounts as you need and automate them to short at the same time. Cheesy

Bitcoinica, moar leverage please!  I want to short at 9000:1.  K, thnx.
I want to short sell all Bitcoins in existence!
3260  Economy / Speculation / Re: I can't believe the margin traders haven't liquidated. on: January 27, 2012, 12:44:22 AM
I’m inclined to believe it. Why? They aren’t traders, they are gamblers. They want the casino to hit jackpot or lose their bet.
