4. We have both fundamental and technical analysis pointing for upside move.
Share analysis, please.

Anyway, I agree with your sentiment. I am long again for the time being. The depth has recovered for the second or third time to full strength on the bid side (in b4 manipulator, last time someone sold 45k straight into the bids, so no, the bids are real). It’s difficult to top this selloff.

Problem is, there’s lots of resistance at 5.85, 6.2, 7.2.
3142  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crash!! on: February 08, 2012, 06:56:51 PM
At this point I've become bearish only because of a desire to buy back much cheaper in the projected 4.5 or 4.1 zones. Hopefully watch it climb back up again from there. I would have been happy to have it climb right from here with bullish delight, but the big players 'YOU SHALL NOT PASS' walls of doom seem to have prevented it. I'm sick of staring at these super walls in the high 5 and low 6 area.
Yeah right, let’s just forget our own due diligence and listen to some analyst. Grin

S3052, I wonder if you consider the trendline from 4.64/5.05 broken?
3144  Economy / Speculation / Re: 94% correction? on: February 08, 2012, 06:02:40 PM
Just glancing at the daily bitcoincharts chart something like 75-90k bitcoins have been dumped today.  Does somebody know something?
What do you mean? Do you think the sellers know something we don’t yet?
3145  Economy / Speculation / Re: Uh oh on: February 08, 2012, 04:43:27 PM
im so mad. i bought in at 5.62.... GRR
Feels good to buy along with the Bitcoinica gamblers, doesn’t it?
3146  Economy / Speculation / Re: mtgox.com is down on: February 08, 2012, 03:35:35 PM
No! Learn some game theory. I will not switch for the "greater good" if I incur individual losses due to greater spread and lower liquidity.

Here, I have created such a thread myself in May: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=8653.0

That’s simply how your awesome free market works. There is no greater good, and everyone suffers because of it.
3147  Economy / Speculation / Re: * The starfish is upon us * on: February 08, 2012, 03:26:03 PM
So we are back to where we were.

NEXT STOP 100 LEVERAGE UP GUYS Grin
I TOLD YOU BROS Grin

3149  Economy / Speculation / Re: mtgox.com is down on: February 08, 2012, 03:17:37 PM
The speculators are the consumers in this market. Why don't you guys fix the problem? Demand better service or stop using it!
Yes, but what can I do? There is no market with better liquidity than MtGox, and I need it. Have you heard of the network effect?

Personally, I’ve given up on this monopoly thing on both pools and exchanges a long time ago. Maybe with pools it can change now, but exchanges, no way.

Randall just messaged me about a page that works:

https://classic.mtgox.com/

It has the old "StartCom" signed key... doing a tracert shows that it is a different server: 72.52.5.81, also at prolexic, so I guess it's legit?

Thanks, I remember that URL! Way better than their new design anyway.
3150  Economy / Speculation / Re: mtgox.com is down on: February 08, 2012, 03:11:28 PM
Roll back and give me 5.8 again! Angry

Is it truly a fair market at any given time if you can call an outage and selectively lock out traders in a geographic region?

No, it’s a piece of shit, even without Bitcoinica.
3151  Economy / Speculation / Fellow Euros, we got Goxxed on: February 08, 2012, 03:08:51 PM
https://support.mtgox.com/entries/20875523-rescheduled-maintenance-notification

"During this time frame, European customers may experience intermittent periods of latency. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause."

THANK YOU FOR KEEPING US OUT WHILE THE MARKET GOES CRAZY!
3152  Economy / Speculation / Re: mtgox.com is down on: February 08, 2012, 03:07:11 PM
HAH!!!! That's awesome...

It's a routine scheduled maintenance outage!!

WTF? A planned outage that shuts out only the EU, but keeps other people trading?

Genius! That's... I don't know... what a plan.
Almost as good as updating their system live.
3153  Economy / Speculation / Re: mtgox.com is down on: February 08, 2012, 03:05:03 PM
Seriously? What the hell?

Why not shut trading down if you are doing maintenance if not everybody can trade? Who is going to come up for my losses generated by this?

Typical goxxing.
3154  Economy / Speculation / Re: Uh oh on: February 08, 2012, 03:00:08 PM
Err... the price was at 5.75 before the sell. If I was buying there, what's $0.05 more?
Ah, looks like you are right. Generally it’s just herd mentality and panic either way.

Then why was he using TOR again? Doesn't MtGox frown upon TOR? Am I being trolled?
I would rather avoid a big loss than follow MtGox’s stupid rules just because I cannot access it.

If they cannot handle a 24/7 exchange, they should not be having it trade 24/7.
3155  Economy / Speculation / Re: Uh oh on: February 08, 2012, 02:56:16 PM
You are missing how markets work. Grin

Oh right! Buy high, sell low. Forgot.
You could also ask the same question with regard to the buyers. Why did they suddenly decide to buy at 5.8, but before the crash that price was way too high?
3156  Economy / Speculation / Re: Uh oh on: February 08, 2012, 02:54:10 PM
Now why didn't this person sell during the decent volume on the climb past 5.80? What am I missing?
You are missing how markets work. Grin

Maybe he wasn’t on MtGox at the time.
Maybe he thought it would go up further.
Maybe …
3157  Economy / Speculation / New Bitcoinica Alternative on: February 08, 2012, 02:11:36 PM
DO NOT MAKE ANY DEPOSITS. IT IS A TEST SITE!

Oh my God. It’s epic. Grin
3158  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gox is goxxing? on: February 08, 2012, 01:37:27 PM
This was the only reason I was doing this. Seems quite a few people are in the dark at the moment. Resting at 5.83. =)
OK, but please create ONE thread for it. Tongue
3159  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gox is goxxing? on: February 08, 2012, 01:30:37 PM
Eating away at a 5.849 wall now.
Please stop spamming the forum with your live ticker.

Anyone can refresh and watch the latest here: http://bitcoin.clarkmoody.com/ Works ok.
3160  Economy / Speculation / Re: mtgox.com is down on: February 08, 2012, 01:20:46 PM
EUR, down here as well.

Fuck MtGox, seriously. Either everyone can trade or they shut trading down.
