If this guy "only" laundered the money, I expect he earned "only" a few percent of the tens of millions of euros. I guess the real malware makers are still far from getting caught.
Are there any information saying how exactly they caught him? He used Electrum, Bisq and Monero, so it must have been when he sold crypto for fiat currency, and that makes me think Dutch police are also using Bisq exchange themselves. They probably sell cash for crypto and examine all large transactions. That's a foolish way to mix coins that does not provide you with any security. Monero's blockchain is completely independent from Bitcoin's, and what makes people feel safe that the exchange(s) that are cooperating with chain analysis companies are not going to unscramble their moving factory floors of transaction histories?
They probably found all transaction information on computers and devices seized from him.

I still use Electrum the few times when I send BTC transactions, but just today i thought about, why isnt there a Browser extension wallet for BTC like Metamask for ethereum? There are some extension you can use as Bitcoin wallet, but I wouldn't suggest anyone should use this instead of Electrum wallet. Many extensions can turn out to be a scam so watch out for that, but I think Liquality wallet is acceptable and it can be used as exchange with atomic swaps. Safepal released their browser extension but it's closed source and I don't recommend anyone should use it.

I can't speak for Foundation, but I do know that - especially with outgoing emails - self-hosting these days is a pretty big challenge. Some providers will immediately flag your emails or delete them outright due to too strict firewall settings. Imagine a customer not receiving a response because their email provider didn't let Foundation team's reply through. That will probably be the main issue. Sure it can happen, but every serious company in the world have their own email with domains, it would be silly if everyone would use just gmail. Blocking usually happens if people are using shared hosting, and I am not 100% sure but I think that ledger and trezor considered switching to self-hosted emails after leaking of their newsletter with third party partners.

I don't use other servers with my Bitcoin wallets and services. Sure this is true if you run your own node, but ff you are using Bisq and lightning network based exchanges, you need to have some level of trust in their nodes. Why are we talking about closed source wallets? The Trezor is open source - hardware and software. Because some people here are using closed source stuff and in same time they preach other about openess... I didn't say it was you ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) What do you consider as proof?
I consider proof when someone publicly reports that his transaction was blacklisted. Announcing a plan to do something in future is not the same thing as doing it right now. Announcing a plan for trezor and wasabi to work together in future, doesn't even mean it will happen the way someone imagines. If you don't consider that to be proof, OK, that's your opinion.
I can announce anything right now and say it will happen in future, like me start growing horns, etc. If you think that is automatically a proof this thing actually happened, then I have nothing else to add. I personally prefer patience.

I took a short break after our last project development (I publish all my startups here) and have now returned to give community something new and get feedback from the community
Sure, anyone can take a break in forum and be inactive for some time. Problem is that I don't understand how someone located in Russia can run and operate business with app that works in New York city and United States. Do you have any office and people who work in New York city or everything is done as a virtual startup?

If I understand correctly vsys.host and SHKeeper are part of the same team. Nice to see segwit is fully supported, but I am interested to know how exactly are hardware wallets supported and integrated with SHKeeper? It would be nice to see comparison and advantages compared to BTCPayServer and other self-hosted payments processors like CypherpunkPay or SatSale. Looks like the USDT supported is TRC20. Which is fortunate, because it demonstrates that not only Bitcoin-based networks are supported. If you check their roadmap you will see that USDT should be supported starting from September 2022 both as ERC20 and TRC20. This crypto modules look simple on their github page, so I guess it's not so hard to add any other coins in future.

I don't like it overall aside from its privacy-related features. It's slow as you said, there is no clickable link for seeing transaction id, shareable link for txid and address and other features that can be seen in other blockchain explorers, it just shows recent transaction at least in mobile browsers, didn't check in desktop yet.
This is still in early testing development, they announced it will be improved in future with more features, and you can make suggestions for free access. I don't need super-fast blockchain explorer with all the bells and whistles that can record and report connection between all my wallet and IP addresses. SpiralBTC is a good mobile alternative for watch only wallet. Cool project though, I'll definitely stick to Blockstream.info + Tor for now.
mempool.space + Tor and your own node is much much better than Blockstream in every way. Comparing this with new thing like SpiralBTC is not realistic. At current stage, i prefer self-hosted block explorer or block explorer with .onion address. But after they add more feature, i'll consider this website seriously.
Sure, but if you are not self-hosting btc node and just using Tor, I think that SpiralBTC is better option for privacy.

Makes you wonder how many accounts are out there like that, someone got some crap coin, traded it for BTC and left never to come back.
It's probably the same thing with most small exchanges, but maybe someone could try to find Crex Bitcoin address to see if there are any big movement of coins. This would indicate they are shutting down long before this recent situation when website can't be accessed from anywhere. they introduced some innovations in exit scams. Regularly announcing coin delisting and remaining time to recover it. who cares if it is possible to access the platform and withdraw coins from there?
I never said anything about withdrawing coins from crex, but you are the one who created this topic and asked a question ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) They probably have same message for every location and they just add country name based on detected IP address.

Did anyone saw new bitcoin explorer claiming they are using homomorphic encryption that guarantee privacy for Bitcoin addresses you check on their website? This is different from all other blockchain explorers that are connecting address you enter with your IP address and they can potentially store (and sell) that information indefinitely. They have code released on github, they released a paper explaining how everything works, and they plan having some partnership with ledger wallet in future. I tried testing with few addresses and it's working but pages can be opened slower than using regular explorers, and less information about transactions is shown. Website is working and opening pages just fine even in Tor browser. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F3Kq4R8h.jpg&t=663&c=4qV-1k9EDwFhJg) Website: https://btc.usespiral.com/Github: https://github.com/menonsamir/spiral-rs

Još jedan način da zaradite Bitcoin instaliranjem Slice proširenje (nije open source) za preglednike (Chrome i Firefox browser extension) gledajući oglase. Možete povući Bitcoin Lightning bez ikakvih naknada uz Zebedee, ili PayPal sa 4% naknade, a u budućnosti će dodati i Visa podršku. Slice link možete pronaći u mom profilu, preuzmite i instalirajte u nekoliko klikova, i recite mi ako nešto zaradite https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1410401

First is Google, who we use for company email. This means any interaction with our customer support team has emails stored with Google. If you self-host everything else, why don't you do the same thing for emails as well? I know most people use gmail, but you can't seriously expect them to respect any customer privacy. You don't sell anything directly to third parties, but google can and probably are sharing all email content with government agencies. As always, when buying a hardware wallet, we recommend providing as little personal information as possible. As an American company we may be required to comply with law enforcement requests (though we'd fight any request as hard as possible). Do you have any official reseller stores in US and in other parts of the world that can sell Passport devices for cash or bitcoin in person? I think this is a best way for reducing digital footprint and there is no risk of any leaks happening in future.

How do you know which code Wasabi is running on their servers, though?
I don't know, but how do you know which code is running on any servers for all other bitcoin wallets and services you use? I am not defending wasabi or anything else, but someone running closed source wallet knows even less. Sure, I am not trusting wasabi very much with their new coinjoin, but I wont trashtalk them without any proof... if someone want's to be speculation king...go for it ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Wasabi or their CoinJoin implementation being open-source has nothing to do with it.
In reality you know jack shit about anything you use online or offline. You are still running wiInd0ws OS crap in combination with closed source wallets and you are teaching us some lessons here, please give me a break ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Oh, I was really wrong, thanks for the feedback, couriers can earn from $ 200 a day working full time (~ 0.0088096 BTC )
All I am getting right now is login page for creating my order, and that's about it, so is there any page on your website with more information about your service? You are paying people directly with Bitcoin, and that Bitcoin is held in custodial or non-custodial wallets? There should be some FAQ page and same for Privacy Policy. I see Churkin account recently woke up, and one more issue I noticed is that domain is registered from Russia, so I would be very careful with this: Organization:Alexsei Churkin State:Samarskaja obl. Country:RU Domain Name: BRINGA.ME Registry Domain ID: D425500000339782910-AGRS Registrar WHOIS Server: whois.regtime.net Registrar URL: http://webnames.ruUpdated Date: 2022-09-09T13:20:06Z Creation Date: 2022-07-31T19:25:07Z Registry Expiry Date: 2023-07-31T19:25:07Z https://www.whois.com/whois/bringa.me

How are you all tracking your Crypto/NFT investments and managing P&L? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Easy solution is to use CoingGecko cand create account there, but there is also alternative apps and I suggest trying one app called crypTrax from bitcointalk member Escaflowne. crypTrax is open source app that works on all operating systems and you don't have to create any coingecko account: ANN topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5375431.0github: https://github.com/Escaflownevan/crypTraxOne more alternative option for desktop portfolio manager is open source app called Rotki: https://rotki.com/Do your own research before using and installing anything.

Hey folks, do you all use any transaction notification services to keep track of the ins and outs of all of your wallets?
No I don't, but I know there are several websites that can track that and alert you via email, sms, telegram, discord, and other way of communication. This can reduce your privacy and connect your bitcoin address with your real identity so I don't suggest anyone to use this, but here is one website I know: https://cryptocurrencyalerting.com/Thanks folks! How about web3 users that interact with multiple chains, and own multiple wallets? Are all transaction notifications delivered individually, in a fragmented manner? Or is it still unnecessary/no need to keep track of ins and outs?
All this web3 multiple chains is junk and big security risk, and we already know about many hacks related with bridges.

I don't know what country they operate out of (and I'm too lazy and tired to check), but I'm wondering if they got pressured by regulators to comply with something that they either can't or are unwilling to.
Can someone find a single country in the world that can access Crex24 website? I tried with several different locations and I am always getting the same message, and I even tried IP address from Russia that is their real location (I think). This probably started few months ago, and this is their way of saying adios to everyone ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

why does BTT not use the same idea as I think that update based on BIP39 and the forum originally about Bitcoin, does developing such recovery method difficult or I miss something?
I don't see how that would be useful for bitcointalk forum, since there is no automated recovery process here, and it can be used hacking accounts, because nay people don't keep seed words correctly offline. It's much better to add optional 2FA support for better account security. What you missed is theymos rarely add new features to current forum software (SFM)
Not exactly true statement. Theymos just made forum changes adding OP next to the member who started a topic ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I guess the solution would be to use Electrum with the ledger nano, which I was doing for a while, but I changed computer recently and I haven't installed Electrum yet.
So what if you don't have electrum on your new computer, just install it again or use standalone version. Good alternative for Electrum would be another open source wallet called Sparrow and I think it works even better in combination with ledger device. https://sparrowwallet.com/

⚫ Swape can also be used to mix your crypto, however for this we recommend switching networks (for complete anonymity), for example Ethereum -> Bitcoin.
I don't understand how your mixing works, so you should explain it better and show some proof that mixing really happened. Maybe also consider adding few more privacy coins on your website, if you really want to add mixing phrase. 💳 Swape will offer to transfer your crypto to a specific IBAN bank address (SEPA) later this year. (On request)
Is this going to be available also without passing KYC verification? And tell me what happens if coins I sent you for swap/mixing gets frozen on centralized exchange you are using as third party? Please name exactly all exchanges you are using.

Is it safe to save USDT and BUSD on binance for long term?
No it's not safe. Exchanges should be used only for trading, not for storing any coins long term, unless you want to lose them. Your account and funds can get frozen, and exchange can be hacked any times, that happened before many times. Offline wallets can be used for storing, or how wallets for storing pocket money and smaller amount of coins.
