2901  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk censorship discussion thread. on: December 27, 2022, 06:10:02 PM
I do not have an opinion on these threads, though I think that we can all agree that bitcoin is more about liberty than it is censorship...
You created a topic so you do have opinion about this.
It would be the same like I said that I don't have opinion about you and than I write something like thsi:
So you just crawled up after two years of inactivity and you decided to write about censorship in bitcointalk...
Since your main thing in forum pre 2022 was selling accounts I have the reason to suspect that your account changed ownership, and password was changed several times.
Someone could dig deeper and research this but I don't want to waste time, because I don't have my own opinion. :/

You can't have forum that is totally free of censorship, or you can in theory but it would soon turn into unusable trash.
We had people who made threats, wanted to kill people, and they break all kinds of forum rules, so it's perfectly normal for people to report and for moderators to delete some stuff.
Someone who is promoting shitcoins and selling illegal stuff like narcotics can expect to get their topics moved or deleted in future, nothing wrong about that.
2902  Other / Off-topic / Re: Hackers stolen Last Pass users passwords and sensitivw information on: December 27, 2022, 05:33:30 PM
Hackers got Employees keys  , customers passwords, name, billing information,  email..
What the fuck! This is a password manager. How does this kind of shit happens?
And why do people share so much sensitive information (such as billing information) with a password manager?
I stopped using LastPass ages ago, and I am glad I did it, even if I never saved really important information there.
Most people use password managers as one-in-all solution for saving everything, and they trust ''the cloud'' aka other people computers  Tongue

Keypass and bitwarden are probably the best.
Is it Keypass or KeePass?  Cheesy
My vote goes for KeypassXC for desktop and KeePassDX for mobile devices.
Both of them are free open source and easy to use, without the need to trust same ''safu'' servers and websites.
One more plus for this apps is they all accept Bitcoin donations!
2903  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any security risk of running a bitcoin node? on: December 27, 2022, 05:27:30 PM
Will my home network become a target for hackers if I run a bitcoin node or run bitcoin mining from devices in my home network?
I don't think it would be very profitable for right now to mine Bitcoin and buy ASIC miners, but in theory you could do it and if done correctly with cold storage backup nobody could hack you.

On the other hand, anyone can and should run Bitcoin node to help network and increase privacy in transacions.
You could use VPN for your node but it's waste of money unless you already have some unlimited vpn plan, so good alternative is Tor that is already free.
People are running nodes on old laptops, raspberry pi devices and recently I saw people who are doing that on old smartphones, so you can choose whatever you want and fools instructions.

2905  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Novosti on: December 27, 2022, 04:58:13 PM

2906  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SportsBet.io, Stake.com, Roobet.com and others don't pay me $158,000 due to me on: December 26, 2022, 06:27:10 PM
I'm trying to read real threads here with valuable information but members with the characters listed above are ruining it for everyone - when will enough be enough?
It will never happen probably, or this thing will exist as long as bitcointalk forum (and humans) is existing.
Most of this members are usually newbies and usually don't trust anything they are saying, but there is always smart percentage of real users that could have real issues with some websites.
Tricky thing is to differentiate between this two categories  Wink
2907  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Foundation Devices 'Passport Batch 2' hardware wallet review on: December 26, 2022, 06:15:59 PM
Sure, however think about that: $7m may sound like a lot to us, but it's just 0.1% of this hedge fund. Even if they wanted to focus 99.9% on shitcoins, they could absolutely do that without pressuring Passport into any weird direction. Cheesy
Yeah it's not a lot when you look how much money they have, but they won't throw away money just like that.
Foundation Devices also raised $2 Million last year, so you do need money flow to keep running things for any business.
Let's compare that with Ledger who collected $380 million from last year series C fundraising, that is really a big difference.
I personally wouldn't mind if they allow adding few other shitcoins that are privacy based, but I know the road is going down the hill when that happens.

PS
It would be interesting to collect foundrising information for all hardware wallets, but this would be tricky thing to do,
You would need to find who exactly invested money, how much they invested, and find som reliable documentation or links for that.
2908  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Im happy to announce the official launch of PNNV.com on: December 26, 2022, 05:51:39 PM
My company is KYC'ed with changenow, their license allows them to exchange crypto. you are correct at some point it might raise questions, however, im planning to switch to 1inch solution which is DEX.
I wouldn't say that 1inch is really a Dex exchange, and people won't be able to exchange and swap real Bitcoin but only tokens built on various centralized blockchains.
Maybe you could consider using atomic swaps instead, or use something that is connected with Bisq and other p2p trading platforms.

You don't have to be precise, but if it's not a secret can you tell us how much coins/money got exchanged using PNNV website through ChangeNow?

2909  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: December 26, 2022, 05:30:54 PM
You mean like total amount of posts created/merits shared since creation? I am not sure how that would look like since some local boards were created in 2010 while some in 2014 so it wouldn't really be fair comparison. Or you had something else in mind?
You know much better than me how this statistic stuff works Wink
It doesn't have to be full comparison between different boards, but we could see dates of creation, activity and number of posts and merits for every year since creation of specific local board.
You can do whatever you think it's best, but if bitmover creates racing bars all that information would look much better.
2910  Other / Meta / Re: AI writing messages on Bitcointalk.org on: December 26, 2022, 05:13:25 PM
I don't think this chat GPT cannot predict the future because it has only data till 2021. For example, today I asked him who won the football world cup 2022, on which he has no clue because his database is only till 2021.
This just shows how stupid this chatGPT really is, if there are no humans to feed him new information and training all the time, he would soon become irrelevant junk.
They are probably going to start asking money to feed this computer new data in near future, and people playing with this crap are doing it for free now.
Repeating stuff and mixing words doesn't make something intelligent, and there is always some human (good or evil) who is controlling this machine.
2911  Other / Meta / Re: Censorship on Bitcointalk. My topic was removed! on: December 26, 2022, 04:52:01 PM
Censorship on Bitcointalk. My topic was taken down without any explanation by an administrator !
Bitcointalk forum is not free of censorship, people report posts and mods decide what to do, but main reason for your post getting deleted is that you were promoting some unknown privacy shitcoin and posting in wrong section.
If you want to talk about shitcoins you can post in Altcoin section and if your service is not accepting Bitcoin you could also end up in Altcoin space, and I am not saying you are doing that.
There could also be the issue of selling ''illegal'' stuff on your website (drugs, cocaine, meth, etc.) that is not allowed in forum, but that is a different topic and concept of legal and illegal  is not the same for everyone.

You might want to read Forum Rules first:

2912  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Privacy issues when purchasing hardware wallets on: December 26, 2022, 04:40:23 PM
Of all the methods you posted, is there one that allows for partially signed transactions (like ColdCard)? Not being able to sign transactions offline is a major issue for me.
Hardware wallets that fully support partially signed transactions are Passport (by Foundation) that is forked from ColdCard, Keystone and I think Jade should be able to do that with recent firmware updates, but I am not 100% sure.
All hardware wallets I mentioned can be used offline as airgapped devices, and they are communicating with camera and QR codes, that is much better than what Coldcard wallet is doing.
All other hardware wallets also support PSBT maybe not natively, but you should not care much about that.
2913  Economy / Services / Re: Best Mailchimp alternative paid with crypto on: December 26, 2022, 04:17:38 PM
I am looking for reliable email service provider like mailchimp but paid with crpypto.
Is there any good software to send bulk emails cheap and without problems and not going to spam?
I couldn't find any reliable service that accepts cryptocurrency payments, but maybe it's best to run your own service and reduce risk of getting hacked, and nobody could ban you like Malichimp did.
After doing some research I found something that I didn't test myself, but you could try these open source alternatives that are free like ListMonk or Mailtrain:
https://listmonk.app/
https://github.com/Mailtrain-org/mailtrain

EDIT:
I did found few email marketing services that accept Bitcoin and other crypto, but I can't say how good or reliable they are, so better do your own research:

2914  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: December 26, 2022, 11:35:36 AM
Jao u kakvom sam problemu.

2915  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Novosti on: December 26, 2022, 11:17:36 AM

Predict Bitcoin price on December 30th and get your share of the 15 mBTC!
Sretno svima Wink
2916  Local / Off-topic (Hrvatski) / Re: Kutak za kulturni trenutak (filmovi, serije, knjige etc) on: December 26, 2022, 11:08:27 AM

2918  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Cost of safe deposit box for seed phrase storage by you. on: December 24, 2022, 11:08:58 PM
Just wondering what the cost is in other places.
Online pricing is wrong, the 2 banks I checked still show 2021 (2020?) pricing.
Why don't you consider checking out non-bank private Safe Deposit Boxes that are also insured and they can even be semi-anonymous?
Price should be lower than using banks and trusting banks means that you are trusting your government that can always confiscate them.
2919  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: virtual debit card for non-EU? Virtual card for samsung pay? on: December 24, 2022, 10:44:45 PM
Any trusted services for getting virtual debit card for the resident of non-European Economic Area (EEA)?
Watch out for next year 2023 when coindebit.io should become operational again.
They are still messing around with banking crap and refunds from their beta testing period, but I am waiting to see what is going to happen in January.
Good thing about this cards is that they could be loaded with Bitcoin without any verification, and I think virtual cards should work worldwide.
2920  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PNNV.com - Major update #2 - need your review, again! on: December 24, 2022, 10:38:31 PM
I had to upgrade and add another API, mainly i used coingecko but wanted to add coinmarketcap as well. I have 10M monthly API calls and had to combine those two.
I think that Coinpaprika, Livecoinwatch and Coinranking.com also have API you can use.

Sorry, but the bugs were fixed!
Is there a way you could run your website on Tor with onion address, especially the exchange part?
Some people would like to have better privacy and you could have more people wanting to use that since you pledged not to ask customers for any kind of kyc verification.
