Did Srilankan board and Players resolved their contract drama? Last i heard SL players were fighting over new contract and refused to sign it.

Looks like every team is on practice mode for the upcoming T-20 WC. Next month almost every team is touring here and there and playing bilateral T-20 + ODI series. Good to see Proteas also touring Ireland for the limited overs cricket.

The ICC is yet to confirm the venue change for T20 World Cup. They have a meeting next week, and if there are no last minute surprises, then the formal announcement may be made. Meanwhile the Oman Cricket Board has already announced that one of their grounds will be hosting the world cup matches. Next week's meeting is going to be chaotic. The big 3 are opposing ICC's decision to include 8 global events in the next cycle (2023-31). But the smaller boards want this many events, as they are heavily dependent on the funds from the ICC.

So much uncertainty due to the pandemic and still ICC wants to have 8 global events! they have not yet decided about the venue they should think about successfully hosting the T20 world cup first and then think about the future. Small boards will always support it as they need revenue but who know whether these events will happen or not next year.

Although I am an Indian citizen, I was supporting New Zealand throughout this test match. Virat Kohli makes it hard for people like me to support the current Indian team. His celebration after the dismissal of Kane Williamson in the first innings is the perfect example. He was roaring and jumping like a monkey, as if his team has won the trophy. And the New Zealand captain is just the exact opposite. I still remember the words he said, after New Zealand was robbed of the 2019 ODI World Cup trophy. There is a reason why cricket is known as "gentleman's game". There is no place for intimidation or bullying in cricket.

Virat Kohli is very arrogant. He is a talented player. I like her playstyle very much. But I don't like him as a person. He despises other players. These habits of Virat Kohli must be changed. I don't like Jadeja either. Compared to them, Rohit Sharma and Rahane seem to be polite enough.

Apart from being arrogant, he is also jinxed, every important tournament final he has lost yet he still comes out on the field as if he is the only crusader for team India. I do not know what his problem is but he thinks he is the one  Grin

Not sure which player can replace this guy as a captain but Rohit Sharma would be my first choice.

Having said that BCCI need to figure out something because Indian team need at least 2 practice match before playing any red ball cricket in the England, otherwise we can't crack the English pitches.
~~~~
The BCCI and the Indian players simply refuse to play warm-up matches nowadays. Even this time, they treated the England tour as an excursion, and brought a large contingent with them including family members and friends. And reportedly they spent time on shopping rather than organizing warm-up matches. On the other hand, the New Zealand team prepared for the final for many months and even kept the test series against England just ahead of the WTC final. In the end the team that worked hard won the trophy, and the ones who were arrogant and casual got defeated.
Unfortunately, this happens with most of the South Asian teams they treat England as a holiday event rather gaming event. BCCI needs to organize practice matches the condition in England is very different to the subcontinent. In my opinion, most Indian players were not at all serious about this WC.
NZ on the other hand was there and had adapted to the condition. They were very confident from the beginning itself.
3884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you worry about not being able to convert BTC to fiat in future on: June 24, 2021, 06:25:56 AM
I'm currently receiving some of my income in BTC, and I'm just holding it because I expect it will go up long term and so it is my savings.
But sometimes I'd like to be able to turn it into fiat for daily expenses. I can't yet pay my rent or buy my groceries with BTC (hopefully one day! but not today and not in the near future).
With banks in some countries blocking transactions from known exchanges is there a worry that one day it will become impractical to turn the BTC into fiat? Either just very hard to do, maybe street-corner-deals or at risk of getting your bank accounts frozen?
Do people think about this and have plans to work around these kinds of banking barriers? Or are there ways around it already but I'm not aware?
It is good to hear that you are holding your Bitcoin for the future. That is the right strategy as the USD value of Bitcoin will increase substantially in the coming years.
If in your country Banks are blocking cryptocurrency exchange transaction then you can always use the P2P service as most exchanges do provide this service. For example - In India when the central bank had banned all cryptocurrency transactions, local exchanges initiated the P2P service until the ban was in place. International exchanges like Binance do provide P2P service, you can also check localbitcoin to find out whether their service is available in your country.
3885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paraguay to propose Bill that would make Bitcoin Legal Tender on: June 24, 2021, 06:16:34 AM
Most South American countries will follow El Salvador sooner or later. Almost all of them are facing an economic crisis and they know that Bitcoin can only revive their economy. The interesting part is that they are also welcoming Bitcoin miners to set up mining rigs. As China is banning miners other countries are offering lucrative deals to them.
3886  Other / Off-topic / Re: John McAfee: Anti-virus creator found dead in prison cell on: June 24, 2021, 06:12:01 AM
Quote
Anti-virus software entrepreneur John McAfee has been found dead in a Barcelona prison cell hours after a Spanish court agreed to extradite him to the US to face tax evasion charges.
The Catalan Justice Department said prison medics tried to resuscitate him, but were not successful.
It said in a statement that "everything indicates" McAfee took his own life.
A controversial figure in the tech world, his company released the first commercial anti-virus software.
McAfee VirusScan helped to spark a multi-billion dollar industry in the computer world, and was eventually sold to technology giant Intel for more than $7.6bn (£4.7bn).
In October 2020, John McAfee was arrested in Spain when he was about to board a plane to Turkey, and accused of failing to file tax returns for four years, despite earning millions from consulting work, speaking engagements, crypto-currencies and selling the rights to his life story.
The US Justice Department alleged that McAfee evaded tax liability by having his income paid into bank accounts and cryptocurrency exchange accounts in the names of nominees.
He was also accused of concealing assets, including a yacht and real estate property, also in other people's names.
Spain's National Court authorised his extradition to the US to face the charges on Wednesday morning.
In recent years, McAfee repeatedly claimed that there was a plot to get him - however the court said there was "no revealing evidence" that he was being prosecuted for political or ideological reasons, Spanish newspaper El Pais reported.
A prominent libertarian, engaging speaker and crypto enthusiast, McAfee still had the ability to make money. His latest brush with law enforcement was due to alleged tax evasion on his recent earnings.
Well, I guess someone won't be eating his own dick now.
I still doubt he committed suicide, he was such a self-centric man and loved himself so much that it is not possible for someone like him to commit such a sin. I think there is more to this story!
I still remember in 2017 when he predicted Bitcoin will reach 1 million. This man did have a good point of view and a very strong belief in Bitcoin.
Anyways adios McAfee! RIP!
3887  Economy / Services / Re: SELL- Articles About Cryptocurrency on: June 22, 2021, 09:02:06 AM
300 words are enough to explain some topics. For some topics, even 1000 words may not be enough. Even with 300 words, there are articles that get a lot of hits.
If you have a different request; we can consider it and adjust it according to your demand.
Minimum should be 500 words for an article. 300 words would be considered as a press release. Try to increase the number of words and then advertise.
3888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 20, 2021, 02:41:36 PM
Historically, the Indian batsmen (apart from Virat Kohli) had issues against bowlers with a lot of pace and bounce. In this test also that was the case with Kyle Jamieson breaking the backbone of Indian batting. And at the same time, the Indians have performed better against medium pacers and it was not surprising to see de Grandhomme going wicketless after conceding so many runs. I would have still preferred New Zealand to include either Mitchell Santner or Ajaz Patel in the place of de Grandhomme.
Unfortunately Kohli and rahane were not able to score any runs from yesterday. I was expecting Kohli and Rahane to atleast reach 50. This was an appalling batting by both the batsmen. Nothing can be expected by the tail enders, still Ashwin scored a few. Nothing went well for the Indian batting line up. The score is not that much for NZ, they all need to do is to stick to the wicket to the end for today's session.
If you are here for earning then the forum is not for you. First learn about this technology, undestand what is driving it and then start creating topics and helping others by replying to them. In due course of time you will achieve a rank of a Member then think about earnings here.
Earning through the forum should be your secondary objective, learning should be primary.
3890  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can we post and comment by following the one section? on: June 20, 2021, 12:56:51 PM
Spam and plagiarized content will lead to a ban, posting does not but, if you post in boards where you do not have any idea then your content will get deleted by the moderators and later on it will be considered as spam and you will get baned from the forum.
So think twice before writing a reply or creating a topic.
If they are able to save 43% of tax it is a huge number and they do not need to complain further and look for alternatives.
The government also needs to think about it. Once of the reason why the ICC was not very keen to allow India to host the tournament was due to the fact that the tax rate is too high there. Most of the countries grant tax exemption to global sporting events, but India never does that. The government needs to realize that there is a lot of indirect benefit from hosting such tournaments, and they can generate a lot of jobs and improve the tourist potential. And also, the generation of indirect taxes also needs to be taken in to account.
What can you expect from a third world country? Government wants a piece of everything in India. They say it is for the benefits of the citizen. To an extent it is true, but not all. The best they should do is reduced the tax. I agree that 43 percent is a big number, they should be realistic and think about other benefits that tournament like this bring to the country.
I thought that India could not host the tournament at the moment because of the pandemic situation there. I don't think any country will refuse to host the tournament in their own country because of more taxes etc. The monetary benefits which comes with hosting, can take over all the taxes.
Whenever such big sporting events are organized in a country the biggest earning comes through tourism but looking at the present pandemic situation that would be negligible. Another benefit is indirect job creation but I cannot comment on that considering the situation. The only way Indian government can make some money is I think through taxes but the percentage is huge. They should think about the future and not the present situation.
3892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth vs bnb on: June 20, 2021, 06:54:45 AM
At the moment both Ethereum and BNB are the best, safest investment option in the market. Earlier the gas price of Ethereum was a concern but not any more. BNB is not truely decentralised but it is backed by one of the biggest exchange.
Both have some of the best project under their respective Defi ecosystem. Therefore in my opinion both are best at the moment.
<snip>
The game has stopped today for the bad light after 64.4 overs. Generally 90 overs are bowled in a day of test matches. First day was lost for rain, a reserve day is available which will fulfill the loss of day one. But the weather isn't good overall. Seems like the bad weather and rain is going to be the winner of WTC final. New Zealand and Indian team is the spectator in the field.
It a best of three if this match gets disrupted then they still have two more matches to play. I am not sure what is the weather forecast for this month but If it continues like this then WTC will be in trouble. It is supposed to be summer in England by the way.
3894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are some long term projects for holding? on: June 20, 2021, 04:50:12 AM
In my opinion for long term hold you should go for the top 50 coins on CMC. In particularly the top 10 if you do not want to do your own research. Always insure you keep Bitcoin and Ethereum as your preferred one and whenever possible try to accumulate more of these two.
3895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Auto Deduct System on: June 20, 2021, 04:21:01 AM
If you activate this auto detect feature then basically you are completely giving access to your wallet, which according to me is like giving your Private key to the casino. In such case it is better to create a new wallet to use this feature and not to use the main wallet. But, I still think this is not good for anyone of us to activate this feature.
3896  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Knowing Bitcoin on: June 20, 2021, 03:04:25 AM
As more and more exchanges make KYC mandatory the traceability of transaction to an individual becomes easier for the government, if you convert your Bitcoin to USD. If you only use Bitcoin to make purchases on the internet then it is not possible to find the identity of that individual.
3897  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Discussion] How to work of Signature Camping is performed.? on: June 19, 2021, 08:23:33 AM
Bitcointalk is showing respect to all the high members of the platform. I want to know how signature camping works.
My question❓
1. Where to post to do this camping work.?
2. How this campaign is handled.?
Please let me know. Thank you
Change the bolded words to campaign, just saying because they are typos
Signature campaigns can be found in this service thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0
You will need to be at least a full member or higher rank before you will be able to join a signature campaign.
The second one are bounty campaigns
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0
No it is not mandatory to have full member rank to join signature campaign. Atleast you need to have a Member rank. Although being a Full Member gives you a lot.of choice. If you want to participate in signature campaign first concentrate on ranking up by creating good topics on the forum.
3898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miami’s mayor looks to woo Chinese bitcoin miners on: June 19, 2021, 05:27:59 AM
If a few miners shift to Miami and start their rigs from China then more will follow them. Such encouragement will not only help miners but also help Bitcoin. China has been banning and unbanning Bitcoin for a few years now. It is a possibility that later on they realize what a big mistake they committed when these miners move to other parts of the world.
BTW Qatar and Nigeria have the cheapest electricity in the world.
3900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 18, 2021, 07:10:49 AM
Forbes is one of the reputable media channels, although I don't think that they can be considered as any sort of authority in the field of cricket. So I would be more cautious before I confirm this news, preferably from the official ICC website, or from ESPN Cricinfo.
IMO, the number of teams doesn't matter much. If cricket is an Olympic sports, then it will be taken seriously by a lot of the governments around the world. Winning an Olympic medal is considered as close to priceless. And a lot of countries, where cricket is not popular now (China, Korea, Germany, Japan.etc), will give attention to the sport if it is included in the Olympics.
Forbes these days is just what they call ego media. You can pay to get almost anything inside and because most people still think if you're published in Forbes it gives you reputation and credibility. It kinda does, but if you also see some of the crap inside Forbes you might not even want to be associated sometimes:)
Olympics for sure is the way, but maybe cricket takes too long.
I think it is just speculation by Forbes, they are know to create such kind of click bait. They are also not into cricket as much as espn is. It is better to wait and watch what espn has to say about the number of teams.
