I actually mentioned about the so called 'gambling cycle' that regardless of the result of your gambling round, the gambler would most likely gamble again. For example in a given round, the person loss money. The tendency is that he will most probably gamble again to recover those losses. He will continue until he has recovered such. Another theory is that once that person recovers his loss, he will most probably gamble again and try his luck since he was able to equalize his winnings/losses.
I just hope that in the future, people would know their limits and develop some sort of self-discipline. In this way, this would most likely prevent people from losing more than what they actually planned for.

The fact that the scammer mentioned that their project is 100% legit and legal is suffice enough to conclude that such is indeed, a scam ponzi scheme. I checked the website for their resources and I find it funny that under their testimonials, they posted stock photos with fake identities of members claiming that said project is legit. Man, the lengths that these scammers would go just to take advantage of a person. Imagine the number of people they already scammed and took advantage off...

Good catch, OP! Just to highlight what @holydarkness said: After a period of meticulous development and testing lasting more than a year, we finally announce our general opening to the public [...]
Hello, you claimed that you've worked for more than one year, can we see any mention or published achievement during this period? Can't find any info or proof that you've been around for more than one year (note: this project should not be mistaken with the dead BitQY). Further, your website, it is copyrighted on 2019, further supporting your claim that it's been around for more than one year, but domain age checker revealed that they're not even two months old. And oh, your whitepaper is also inaccessible. I find it hilarious and appalling at the same time that these scammers will really attempt to do anything just to take advantage of people and at least earn them a quick buck. The inconsistencies on their statements, the irregularities and inaccuracies of information that they posted all contribute to the conclusion that their project is indeed, a scam. If ever you do open a flag against him, I will sure to support it!

Once I was a high roller, and used to spend upto 0.1 btc per roll. Most of the time maximum roll value happens with martingale strategy. I encountered a massive loss out of gambling and the same has made me go low on rolls. Right now the maximum bet value doesn't exceed $10. Today read about a person winning from chips.gg having a bet value of $400, and a misclick getting him a winning amount of $19800 on Dice. Maybe some day I need to be such a high roller with high percentage of luck. Man, gambling with 0.1 btc per roll? You must have loads of capital that you can dispense with. Usually when I gamble, I set a cap of around $100-200 for the whole game. I usually allocate those funds equally, thus most of my rolls are relatively low. I occasionally win but when I experience some loss on the round, I try my best to recover such loss. But when my loss exceeds the capital that I initially set as my limit, I tend to stop and call it a day! Well again, gambling is gambling. Sometimes you get extremely lucky in a roll and sometimes you lose a significant amount of money in a day. As long as you are willing to shoulder that loss and it does not hamper or prejudice your livelihood, then you are good to go.

Do you ever asked yourselves these things? 1. Which one do you prefer, Casino gambling or online gambling? 2. How much money are you willing to spend on gambling? 3. How do you manage your lose streak or win streak? 4. If you will have $1000, what game in the casino you are going to play? 5. What is the best advice that you can give to a gambler?
I will try to answer these questions to the best of my abilities and from my experience from gambling: 1. Which one do you prefer, Casino gambling or online gambling?- I actually prefer both but most of the time I tend to enter casinos and do physical gambling. Meeting other people and enjoying the atmosphere of the casino is enjoyable. But do to the pandemic, I am compelled to do online gabling instead. 2. How much money are you willing to spend on gambling?- I learned this the hard way. Before, I used to gamble with my debit card with me so I tend to spend more than what I planned for. Nowadays, I usually bring up to $100 and from there, I just pray that the odds may be in my favor! 3. How do you manage your lose streak or win streak?- Like what I advised most people, you need to break the cycle on your streaks. People tend to gamble more when they experience either a losing streak (since they want to recover their losses) or in a winning streak. I usually set up a goal and I tend to stop at a certain point upon reaching that minimum. 4. If you will have $1000, what game in the casino you are going to play?- I would prefer gambling it online instead with sports. With there, I can manage the allocation of my funds and at least control the risks that I am going to. Controlled risks is part of my strategy; and 5. What is the best advice that you can give to a gambler?- Learn when to stop. If you do not have the self-control and discipline, bring a friend along with you so he could be your saving grace. Gambling can be very addictive and you need someone to at least help you when you start experiencing the urge to gamble everyday. Make it as a leisure and not a habit.

I do notice that some people naturally don’t allow bitcoin in any of their daily transactions even when it faster and easier, they still don’t prefer using it, I have noticed this a lot, Some classes of human,Sometimes when they are to receive money from another country like international transfer sometimes it takes 2 3 days to arrive,They will advise them to use bitcoin and they still don’t accept it even it faster and easier. Now how come we make bitcoin come to people.
Be reminded that cryptocurrencies work behind the revolutionary blockchain- where everything is connected in a web and all transactions are transparent. The problem is, transferring bitcoins to another wallet is completely anonymous in which the government worries for due to money laundering schemes or illegal transactions. Another thing, media has contributed significantly on the widespread of false information and stigma in cryptocurrencies. That is also the reason on why some people avoid knowing this stuff. It is very easy to read and be convinced by anything that is posted on media compared to knowing actually the technology behind cryptocurrencies.

So it is important for each player to first know how much they can afford to lose and play accordingly. Just by reading somebody won so much etc and feel that even they can also win the same or more might not happen. Each one has different luck and skills so judge yourself and check your own position and then gamble because once lost big money then nothing else is left later other than regretting it.
Yes, it is important to know how much money we can afford, so we know how to manage the money. I think we don't have to feel jealous of other people luckiest because they can not always get lucky all the time, and that is what we get it too. We need to avoid the big loss in gambling because we will hard to recover the loss once we cannot control ourselves. I am sure we already see many gamblers losing their money because we don't know how to manage the money. The key to gambling will always be on how you manage your resources well. With proper managing of resources comes with discipline and self-control over it. I remember that I mentioned about the gambler's cycle; wherein a gambler will continue to play until he/she recovers his/her losses in a given round. Unfortunately, this landslides quickly resulting to the exhaustion of their resources until the end. That is why if you plan to gamble, just bring limited amounts of cash with you so you can avoid this cycle.

Man, I am so sorry to hear about that. You know what drives you crazy? The thoughts running in your head full of "what if I won that bet?" or "I could have bought this and that..."
I had a similar experience when I used to bet using my online skins in a gaming platform. I had like worth $1,000 worth of online premium items and I bet them on my favorite team which was at that time, the crowd favourite and the leading team on the tournament. They were leading for like 30 minutes in the game but at the last minute of the match, the team collapsed.
I hope you get the opportunity again in the near future but again, this is gambling! Anything can happen in this platform whether we like it or not.

Thank you for reporting this, @holydarkness.
I actually checked their previous posts and information in I found it very confusing that parts of their content were copied from sources like Harvard, etc. I was about to open a scam accusation against them but I only had like a relative small amount of evidence against them. Good job from spotting the similarities from Comet Finance's ANN. I also advise that if it is possible, create a flag in order to warn users about his peculiar behavior.
|
|
|
OP, open the flag and lets paint the account advertising this scam for good. There is no use in withholding the option to put a warning banner on this account. The account's username says everything. They are not here for hiring a bounty manager but using their own account to scam users.
These scams come up everyday but not every one of those make the mistake of creating an ANN here. Since these guys thought of doing so lets not waste the opportunity to flag them.
I will tag them right away. Will wait for the flag too.
Whoops! Forgive me as I forgot to include the flag on the post. If you will also look at their ANN, they are holding an auction which the minimum amount is set to 1 btc. Well it is really absurd and pathetic as they attempt to lure more people into this fake project. Update: Added flag.

Added three (3) new FAKE projects on the list. Lots of projects being stolen and copied from different sources. I urge everyone to exercise extreme caution before investing into a project. Keep safe, everyone. Last updated: October 16, 2020

What happened: STOLEN CONTENT READ: After giving OP a reasonable amount of time to answer against my accusation on their ANN, he ignored and completely abandoned the project. Contents of his ANN were copied from Comet Finance's Whitepaper. Copied content:
As was pointed out by @holydarkness, the devs of Comet Finance were responsive but please exercise extreme caution before investing! Hi upon checking the contents of your ANN [...]
Ahh, since you're here already, I'll leave this one out. I'm currently investigating the other project you mentioned, that comet thingy, their dev was really to respond, but I am rather sure it will also be a scam.
