3901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fully vaccinated individuals now spared of masks in the casinos in Vegas on: June 18, 2021, 05:43:15 AM
There is no saying that once you got vaccinated, you are 100% safe from infection.

But the difference here is, with vaccinated, the complications should not be that worst. Lots of people recovered from the virus without even having or showing any symptoms so, with the vaccine, Covid-19 will be just the ordinary flu for years to come.

And if a person really cares for their health, why should they not wear a facemask? It's just that some establishment allows it but still, it's up to people to decide if they will wear a facemask or not.

That depends on the virus strain as well. Current batch of vaccines were developed against the original strain. So they may not be very effective against the mutant strains such as P.1 and B.1.617.2 (although research shows that they have some efficacy against these strains as well). With the original strain, complete vaccination provides almost total protection against hospitalization. However against the Delta (B.1.617.2) strain, even complete vaccination provides only around 80% protection from hospitalization.
The vaccine itself is a similar virus that only created antibodies to fight the original virus (regardless of the strain). If your antibodies count is more than 4 your are safe and you wouldn't have mild symptoms if you catch this virus.

After vaccination there is no guarantee that your body will create antibodies, therefore taking precautions is a must. This will not only help you but also the community. I think people should understand that this virus will stay forever, like other viruses.
3902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and CO2 emissions (Should we care?) on: June 18, 2021, 04:45:26 AM
Apparently the crack head skipped the battery pollution which is 74 percent more than a conventional car and also the space rocket emission which not only destroys the ozone  layer but contributes a good amount of CO2 to the atmosphere. He should first looks into his companies rather blaming Bitcoin and the miners.

The best solution is to ignore him whenever he tweets about Bitcoin. These influencers are cancer to the community.
3903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will EIP-1559 make the price of ETH very high in the future...??? on: June 16, 2021, 05:55:47 AM
Chances are that the price might pump before the London fork. Ethereum dominance has already increased which is a good sign for anyone to make money fast. I am not sure whether EIP-1559 would be successful in controlling inflation. I only know that price will surely pump before it happens.
3904  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Bitcoin a business or an investment? on: June 16, 2021, 05:08:58 AM
It completely depends how you want it to be?

For most of us it act as an asset. For some it comes as a salary. For few it is used for buying goods. For a lot of us it works as a payment system.  It goes on and on as I told you it depends on how you want to use it? That's the power of Bitcoin.

Frankly I have no interest in PSL or IPL as they go interrupted in between. Plus you again need to go back to check what was the standing of teams at the time of interruption to enjoy the present matches which I am bit lazy to check. What intrest me now is the upcoming World Cup.

Same here as well. When the tournament gets disrupted in between, the interest gets lost. I don't even remember the points table for IPL, and don't know which team is on top and which ones are at the bottom. Also, many of the players who took part in the initial stage of the IPL is going to be unavailable for the second phase. The franchises have made the replacement, but the quality will go down without a doubt. Some of the Australian and New Zealand players may still participate, but I am doubtful about the England players. They have already stated that apart from a few exceptions the England players are going to skip the remainder of the tournament.

Absolutely once the momentum is gone the interest fades away. Yes, big names have already left the tournaments not much is left to see and enjoy. I am least interested now and rather wait for the upcoming tournament.

NZ's current form might destroy India if they play the final of WC. At the moment England is getting destroyed, I am happy that NZ is playing so well.
Destroy India? Lol. You are clearly underestimating India here.  They are the number one test team according to ICC currently for several reasons. The final between them will probably go down to the wire.

England is getting screwed primarily because of the low morale in their camp due to ECB's recent moves against their players coupled with the fact that many of their big players are out of form currently.
India is ahead by only 1 point so both teams are equally capable and we can't deny the fact that Kiwis clearly got a better chance here. Fingers crossed for the finals

It worries me that Kiwis exploiting the swing conditions perfectly, on other hand English bowlers looked toothless so far.

I agree this England team is missing few key players ; mainly Stokes and Archer because of their rotation policy / upcoming series against India, Australia But kiwis also made 6 changes in this game.

Whatever England did with their team has completely gone wrong as they have no clue what to do next in this match. On the other hand NZ looks strong and confident. This will simply would boost their morale.
3907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 13, 2021, 07:13:16 AM
Isn't anyone here interested in PSL? Why doesn't anyone discuss about PSL related issues? It is also a big betting platform.
The match between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiator is being held at the moment. And Peshawre has collected only 67 runs in 10 overs, by losing only 2 wickets. I bet on the victory of Quetta Gladiators in this match.

Frankly I have no interest in PSL or IPL as they go interrupted in between. Plus you again need to go back to check what was the standing of teams at the time of interruption to enjoy the present matches which I am bit lazy to check. What intrest me now is the upcoming World Cup.

Looks like NZ will win the test series(1 - 0) at this rate. They demolished England in the 2nd innings thanks to Henry, Wagner and Patel primarily. Root continues to struggle currently.

Am excited for the India vs NZ WTC final thanks to NZ's performance against England. Am betting on India to win.
NZ's current form might destroy India if they play the final of WC. At the moment England is getting destroyed, I am happy that NZ is playing so well.

Forum is also a website, wherein every original post gets ranked on google. If a user post plagiarized content then Google punished the forum by downgrading the content rank of this forum.

Therefore if anyone publishes plagiarized content the forum mods ban the user and delete the content ensuring Google does not downgrade the forum ranking. That is one of the reason why mods are so strict.
3910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICP (Internet Computer) on: June 12, 2021, 06:02:10 AM
I see ICP as more of the same case with any IEO coin that instantly got listed in some big exchange, it reaches some ridiculous fee and then tank.
as I've seen ICP was really hyped so much that the price could reach as high as $800 and I was almost get fomo'd thinking it could hits $1000 trying to make an
entry at around $500m though I stopped since the market at early stage of listing is really volatile and than proves me right, though the current price I think it's undervalued.
Maybe I will also try to accumulate some but the thing I was most afraid was the same as you, the market cap grows so fast it's actually feels dangerous.

It is clear that the promoters were not interested in long term growth of the project. The price was kept extremely high (at least by a factor of 10x). There was a lot of dumping going on, right from the beginning (and looking at the trade data, I don't think that a majority of this came form the airdrop recipients). What we saw in ICP is very similar to the case with some of the other previous projects. The promoters came up with a very innovative idea, create a lot of hype and thereby pump the prices. When the prices are at peak, they will dump their tokens and make the exit. Those who purchased the tokens at peak levels will be now stuck with them, as the development will never kick off. The promoters have received a lot of money and they will be no longer interested in this project.

Development is still going on I won't say that they are not working on the product. This is not an easy project by the way, what they are trying to create will change the way cloud computing works. Creating a decentralized infrastructure on already established centralized infra takes time. If they are successful this token will pump a lot. The key is to be patient and HODL.
3911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 12, 2021, 05:50:59 AM
In the first Test against South Africa, the West Indies lost all their wickets by just 97 runs. I was surprised to see the West Indies batting. I did not expect such a bad game. South Africa scored 216 runs and lost 6 wickets. If South Africa can maintain their destructive bowling in the second innings, they can easily win.

And the most surprising thing was that it was Lungi Ngidi who took 5 of those wickets. The West Indian batting lineup just collapsed against the pace of Rabada, Ngidi and Nortje. IMO, they should stop playing in the test format, as they are good only for T20 cricket. It looks as if the shorter format of the game has killed test cricket in West Indies. The way they got dismissed for a total of less than 100 was just shocking. And even in the second innings they are not doing much better. They are trailing by 143 runs, and have already lost 4 wickets.

West Indies players are less interested in playing Tests. They feel more comfortable playing in the T20 format. Their patience is low. They can’t stay at the crease for long time. I think the West Indies board should have separate teams for different formats. I don't see the possibility of the West Indies doing well in the Test format unless a separate team is formed for the Test format.

Moreover, WI players are getting paid more for playing T20 tournament than ODI or Test Cricket. They are good at playing T20 formats, most of the top batsmen in T20 come from WI. Also, T20 matches are more often played nowadays than Test cricket. The WI board needs to create a separate team for playing Test Cricket.

Before 2017 faucet were one of the best ways to earn free Bitcoin. After 2017, it is the worst way to earn Bitcoin for free. It is a simple waste of time, no one will now give you bitcoin for free. You will need to work for it now, join this subreddit  - r/Jobs4Bitcoins you can get a job and also get paid in Bitcoin.

^^^ Need to see whether these players will remain for ever as the net bowlers, or will they get an opportunity to represent India. As far as the pace bowling department is concerned, there is going to be hardly any vacancy until the regulars like Ishant, Shami and Bumrah retires. Even talented bowlers such as Umesh Yadav and Natarajan are struggling to find a slot nowadays. And to make matters worse, the RCB quota (Saini, Siraj.etc) comes in to play. In the spin department, there may be a few openings available.
Yes, you are right how many of them will actually play is a question. I read on one of the news feed that dravid has categorically said every player will play. Let see if that happens!
3914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using Tether to increase your Bitcoin Position on: June 11, 2021, 06:17:34 AM
This is the right time to take a position in Bitcoin and wait until the year ends. Bitcoin is presently available at a discount price, you can use your tether to buy it on Binance. In just a few weeks it has lost near about 20k and has been holding strong at 30K level. If you want your holding to increase invest in Bitcoin as soon as possible. Also, it has been advised quite a lot of time to keep your assets in your personal wallet and not on an exchange wallet.
3915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ECR20 BSC BNB difference on: June 11, 2021, 06:03:10 AM
BSC is an exact replica of the Ethereum network, the only difference is that it is more centralized and has very little transaction fee. The problem with Ethereum is only the transaction fee, which at the moment are way less to what it was a few weeks back.

As Ethereum has Erc20 tokens in the same manner BSC has BEP20 tokens. BNB is a BEP2 token, you can swap BEP20 to BEP2 on BSC DEX or on Trustwallet.
3916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICP (Internet Computer) on: June 11, 2021, 05:45:35 AM
I don't deny the issue, when it was listed it was easily exaggerated compared to the value it represented in the market. And what we're seeing with this coin is its massive drop since its own ATH, but it doesn't matter much I think if they do well then cap in what I believe they deserve it will only stop at <$20b

The current valuation stands at $8.9 billion as per coinmarketcap. And the trend remains overwhelmingly negative. Those who invested in the early stages (when the price was around $500 are stating at massive losses). Anyway, I like the idea behind this project. If they can overcome the initial chaos, then there is a chance that it will once again get included in the top-10 list. BTW, does anyone know how much of the circulating supply is currently being owned by the promoters of this project (they list more than 200 promoters in their website)?

From $500 to $70 as of today, the loss is significant. If these guys are able to deliver what they promised then the price might go beyond $500. At the moment the hype is still there and people are still buying it. I think most of the sellers are those who have received airdrop and for the next 10 month, they will be receiving tokens.

@Sithara007 there’s no doubt about Rashid Khan talents, because he’s an exceptional player and would have been a legend of this game if he was playing from the top 5 or top 10 countries. Also I feel that with each match he’s only improving like we saw yesterday, and he’ll be a key player to watch out once IPL resumes.

The next IPL auction is going to be interesting as well. Rashid Khan has proved himself in various T20 leagues, including the IPL and PSL. I won't be surprised, if he is auctioned for an amount in excess of $2 million next time. If the BCCI goes ahead with the idea of having additional teams for the 2022 tournament (this is yet to be confirmed), then there will be a full auction sometime before that. I expect players such as Rashid to cross the $2 million mark (currently he is at $1.3 million).

First let BCCI complete 2021 IPL then we can talk about the auction.

Rashid Khan is a good player and he has proven that he is good for T20 format. At present he is part of the Hyderabad team in IPL, we need to wait and watch whether his salary gets increased in the next season.

If your not in a mood to spend money on a hardware wallet (hardware wallet highly recommended) then use a desktop wallet. Ensure that the desktop in not often connected to the internet. There are many non custodial multi cryptocurrency wallet out their for free and most of them have desktop version.

This is how gambling owners make money and turn rich. Is the owner have reached on the top list of the rich people of UK. Bet365 has years of history, and the reputation never declined. Soon we can expect cryptocurrency accepted gambling site owners getting listed on the top.

If the pandemic continues for another year I am sure you will read more name and some of them might be from the crypto industry. I am there are a few who have already reached that list but might have not been listed as the list is based on UK based entrepreneur. This is how the pandemic is changing the way business has to be run in the future.

Looks like the situation in the England camp is pretty bad currently thanks to the Ollie Robinson suspension which stunned many including me. This is a big blow since he performed well with both bat and ball against NZ.

Seems that another English cricketer is under investigation for his tweets though his name hasn't been disclosed yet. Karma is kicking them for their stupidity.

"Karma is a Bitch"

But it is too much I mean it is a decade old tweet. In my opinion that is very harsh on ECB's part, they could have given him a warning and allowed him to play. This guy deserves another chance, he was just a kid at that time.
