3941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A case of the pandemic changing the score and affecting sports betting on: October 08, 2020, 02:10:58 PM
If strong players of a team get infected then obviously the result will be different. In short quarantine also cannot guarantee a players condition. Either ways this pandemic has ruined every sector. It is not only sports but sports related events like betting on sports are also getting affected. Imagine if France was facing the same issue then the match outcome could have been very different.

I agree with you. The effects of pandemic especially in sports can be obviously seen especially on how players react nowadays. Just think of this, if one player gets affected by the virus, then the whole team is compromised already which would result to an unfavorable situation and an imbalance in betting. Imagine, you are rooting for a team to win JUST to find out that their star player got infected with the virus. This could actually be a game changer in the history of betting due to this goddamn virus.

While its certain that the pandemic has affected certain teams in sports, there are proven solutions that could work to boost a players morale to play despite the pandemic.
We can see, virtual audience is effective for players to gain energy especially with a digital world. Its more easy to connect with many people in social media platforms.

The virtual audience is indeed, a solution in order to boost morale of the team. But when you think of a home-court advantage, it speaks of crowds cheering the team and giving all the cheers for them. Even with the virtual fans all over the world, nothing can literally beat the spirit of a physical crowd cheering in a competition.

What happened: STOLEN CONTENT

FLAG: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2375

READ: The contents of his ANN were plagiarized from two (2) sources without giving/citing reference to the original source. As @rikaflip pointed out in their ANN, almost all of their social media websites including their official website were not working.

Copied content and useful links:

As @holydarkness also pointed out, he mentioned that "the current account was recently awaken from a long period of activity."

I'll ride along. Add the fact that their account were recently awaken from a long gap, and how it used to be a regular hunter account, it is very likely that account is hacked or sold.

3948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greatest Gambling Losers on: October 07, 2020, 03:27:09 AM
the main thing is still:
not gambling more than one can afford to loose.

it's intresting to know about the greatest losers and all, but I'd be curious to know what was the % of the loss in relation to their total wealth.

keep it as less than 3% and it'll be much easier to survive.

To be honest, I think their mindset was clouded with bad judgement since they can gamble and afford to loss the resources. The problem is their addiction in the whole gambling game. These people are considered rich and they have gambled almost all of their resources with the hope of recovering what they loss in the process.

I just hope that people here learn from their lesson as they only regretted it once they have already lost everything. If one does not have the discipline to control their addiction, I highly suggest to seek help and support from your peers or family members.

What happened: STOLEN CONTENT

FLAG:

READ: After giving some time to explain about my allegation that their content was very similar to YFMOONBEAM's website, he did not respond. Additionally, @amorejaz pointed out in their ANN about its copy-pasting of content. You guys be the judge but I think this is a lazy scam attempt of the "Y-defi" projects.
Just to add, OP also promoted ycrab.finance but right now, the website is already down.

*Interestingly, YFBEAM's twitter account was created last January 2015 but it only contained three (3) tweets which started only this October 04, 2020. In YFMOONBEAM's twitter, the account was created only this September 2020 and it contained seventeen (17) tweets which started on September 22, 2020.

Copied content and useful links:

good catch qwertyup!
there's a difference in their ticker. look closely on each site

                                 https://www.yfmoonbeam.com/                                                    vs.                                           https://yfbeam.finance/

but it seems both are just copy cats of this Y-defi project.  I dont understand about this Y-stuff anyway. can we see X-DeFi next?  Roll Eyes
checking their site registrations. yfmoonbeam is about half month early than this yfbeam.finance
so we know who's exactly copying the site here.

3951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question: Is there any websites where I can gamble crypto under 18? on: October 05, 2020, 04:58:05 PM
Well since you mentioned specifically "websites", this implies that you are to gamble on the internet. Most gambling sites nowadays just require you to input your username, a valid email, and your password then you are good to go. Just make sure to avoid some gambling sites that require KYC functions (although very seldom). But if we were to talk about its legality, I highly suggest you avoid gambling until you turn 18 years of age as it can be very destructive and addicting.

If we are talking about entering into a casino and do physical gambling, then I do not believe that there is a way for a minor or someone below 18 years of age would be able to participate in gambling.

<snip...>

Thank you for supporting the flag. Unfortunately, scammers would do anything jus to take advantage of the situation and at least try to scam one person. It is appalling that they would resort to any means with that goal in mind.

<snip..>

Thank you also for supporting the flag. That is true, projects with plagiarized whitepapers will always be there as their goal is to at least scam one person. It takes literally no effort to copy-paste an existing project and then try to scam at least one person. In that way, they can already fulfill their purpose of taking advantage of a naive and newbie investor.

Great catch buddy...flag support. By the way what plagiarizm checker website you are using. link pls.

Thank you for the kind words. Most of the time, I just google the paragraphs and sentences of the whitepaper of the current project. You can refer to this LINK to check for useful tools that can aid you to check scam projects.
3954  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Hideme.finance (DeFi) - Fake Team on: October 04, 2020, 04:22:45 PM
Since you can't create flag against @Arch Crypton Game, I took the liberty to create one, I hope you don't mind, no point to wait for 6 months since activity of @Arch Crypton Game mainly  consists of creating ANN threads for dodgy DeFi projects, so better warn newbies and guests immediately since you made solid case against him. By the way, nice find, keep up the good work, and you have been very active lately!
Flag Type 1 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2368

I appreciate the kind words from you, Rika! Thank you for creating the flag in my behalf, I shall now edit and include the flag that you made on the post. Once again, thank you!

Good finding OP, and negative feedback for scammers.
I guess putting red layer over images didn't help them to hide the fact that they used random generic images for their fake team.

Putting a red layer does not solve anything and it is a weak attempt on the scammer to shroud the generic/stock photos that they used. Also, I appreciate the kind words that you said. Thank you!
3955  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam] Bayya fake Bitcoin escrow, mining... on: October 04, 2020, 02:48:40 PM
Facially, you could already determine that the pictures that they used are stock photos. With their outrageous ROIs in a short amount of time which increases the higher your minimum deposit is, this is clearly a case of a ponzi scheme. I just hope that willing investors are not fooled by this attempt made by these scammers.

Good job, OP and keep up the good work!

<snip..>

Thank you for pointing that out.

Given that YFMOONBEAM was registered first according to the whois.domain tools, it is implied that YFBEAM may have copied its contents from the former. Regardless, I will wait for the project manager of YFBEAM to hear their side before I create a scam accusation thread against them. In addition, I would also like to ask for your permission to use the data you have gathered and add it on the scam accusation board I will create in the future.

Once again, thanks!
