3941  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty stuck on: September 13, 2017, 08:06:25 AM
fixed?  Cheesy

no, still the last update was on Aug 3rd on the drop down chart at the bottom

note:

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/litecoin/difficulty

I found this link ..but it only shows current difficulty for LTC ....I'd like a link to show BTC and LTC difficulty along with past difficulty like bitcoinwisdom 'used to do' Sad

http://ltcwisdom.net/calc/

it is annoying...would like to see the past months difficulty as well as whatever it is NOW on BTC and LTC..but know of no other links that show current difficulty and
past difficulty in a table format like bitcoinwisdom "used to do"

3942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if the ICO is scam on: September 13, 2017, 07:56:50 AM
Well the LISK ICO was no scam.

1 BTC in 2016 at 650 usd a BTC if I remember right..and it is worth $42,111.52 as of a couple of min ago.

On the other hand, I could have gotten 990 ETH at 1 BTC also on their ICO and passed Sad (Would have been worth today $276,873.30..ouch!)

But maybe, now in 2017....too many ICO's and too many are scams..don't know..just saying from my viewpoint

Ack!...so many missed boats Sad

This is probably someplace on the thread but bear with me...I understand the L3+ is loud.....I have a 3 story house and some of my KNC Titans are in the basement etc

I don't really care if I hear the miners on the 1st floor above the basement....I use mostly use 2nd floor upstairs for office etc/1st floor I can avoid if noise is too much and/
sleep on 2nd floor. so that should not be an issue.....

So are these D3's and L3+'s  so loud that I can't get by with them in the basement with the windows open because the neighbors will freak?

or on the 1st floor, you can get by with your life etc and use say 4 of these puppies on the basement w/o going crazy?

got the space..winter is coming....free heat *such as it is* Not sure if I'm going to get any more equip this year but

what I have in the UPS wind as it shows is:

D3 (1 unit)    Sept 15th shipping start I think?

D3 (1 units)    Oct 15th shipping start I think?

L3+ (3 units)  Nov 15th shipping I think?

So anyway, with the above setup on house etc...is this gonna be too noisy or just mildly annoying on the 1st floor?

thanks....appreciate it...I have L3+'s but the rest are now in the FULL data hall ...so have had no exposure to noise Sad

Searing

p.s.

edit: unless the PSU's from bitmain arrive first I may also need to know if 2 Corsair 1200i's can run D3 to get by till the bitmain PSU's show? (or not recommended?)

Since no one "legally" have D3 in their home, i think they dont know how the power pull up like the spec said.
Like S9, i found out that its took more Watt that it spec (although its already state in their spec) and L3+ are less Watt

I would like to hear how the Corsair may work to run D3, please risk it for us  Grin

back to the "noise' issue in my basement and house arrangement (and not carrying too much if it is distracting on the 1st floor)

are other running D3's in the basement (with noise) and not going crazy...?

I had/have up to 3 hanging high speed 32" bracket window fans blowing in the height of summer in the basement...I think it is likely less noisy than them

then again when people say 69db that is the same as a canister vacuum cleaner running 24/7

as to the PSU stuff arriving the same time as the D3 unit...

just saying..you just know the D3 unit will show then the PSU 2 weeks later ....looking for an option Sad with the 2 1200i corsairs I have here about

LOL ... this puts Jamie Dimon into perspective:

Two numbers that stand out:
Over $13b in fines paid by JPM because of fraudulent mortgage practices
Over $1b in separate fines paid because of its role in the Madoff scheme.

All under Jamie's watch. But it's Bitcoin he's worried is the FRAUD

Even if the FUD is fierce...and price drops to 2k this year ..that means I only DOUBLED my money this year in crypto and mining..boo hoo

I sure would have taken that bet in Jan/Feb

and regardless .... even if we go sideways and down the rest of the year....we will come back (remember 2015 and 1.80 LTC price from a $10 dump...same $$$ down for BTC)

let the assholes whine and get it out of their system...worse case is everyone looks at all the FUD being tossed.....price goes sideways a bit..then everyone shrugs

and the moon ride ramps up again Smiley

Feels like lift off. Everybody hand me your pants. No time to explain...

But anonymous sources told CNBC that China is going to shut down all the exchanges at any second.

How could you not trust CNBC and anonymous sources Huh

I figure it is probably true....I also figure that no one gives a damn.....less speculation would (maybe) lead to more holding
if the Chinese ban exchanges at the non-local level

go figure ..the price is up ..my current theory ..but "the ways of Bitcoin and crypto are mysterious to me" ....indeed....

but is looking to me ...on the ban news of exchanges in China (except OTC) has already been locked into the price

(hey a guy can hope)

I'm interested in buying 100+ pieces of this. But email and facebook of the BW are not replying. Please someone PM me managers contacts for buying and shipping questions.

don't bother ...I tried ..they seem not to interested on any 100+ orders now...I suspect they are sold out

(no reply after 3 attempts the last month)

then again...at 3k I kinda wonder if that makes any sense by a Nov timeline anyway

the not giving a f*ck and not answering emails is also a concern
3948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: September 12, 2017, 11:08:18 AM
D3 can be ordered again in bitmain official website. Check it out man Smiley

Looks like it's sold out again.

I guess they don't have any 'site issues' when they simply don't announce WHEN they are shooting product out Smiley

Not sure I'm in the market for any D3's and/or L3+'s anyway ...this late in the difficulty game for this year

but hey ..sure solves the lag issue on the site....'super hidden fly by nite auctions here'

Hey guys, I'm new to all this but have a D3 and an L3+ on the way. Can anyone tell me if running these two in a 12'x12' room without ventilation would cause the room to heat up beyond a sustainable temperature? The ambient room temperature is usually around 65 F since it's in the basement.

ok a D3 is 1200 watts

an L3+ is 800 watts

that is a 2000 watt space heater 24/7 .....so figure out if that is too much heat or plenty for this winter to help your heat bill
3952  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN NOW at $4000+? What are your thoughts about this? on: September 10, 2017, 12:19:06 PM
thoughts on this...hmmmmm....

if China does ban their exchanges ..we at least for a brief time will see like 2k bitcoin again

if they go further and ban trading and ban China IP's ..then more

(scared self) Sad

Does anybody know which dates were D3 batches so far? Is it already 2nd batch in progress of shipping out ?

Batch 1 - September 15-25
Batch 2 - October 15-25
Batch 3 - November 1-15
Batch 4 - November 16-23

*There were some partial batches in which the unpaid orders were re-listed with similar delivery dates.

Does Any1 know the quantities to be shipped for the batches? I have heard figures in the 30Ks.

If that is true than 30K's of D3 miners will bump the global hashrate of Dash from todays 35K to around 500K. About 14X difficulty increase and thus more than 14 times less profit than today? Bringing the daily profit down from $130 to $7. That is what I got in case of 30K total delivery.

Don't forget the other FOUR manufacturer's duming stuff in October....baikal/innsilicon/ibelink/pinidea

3954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BW.com L21 - Litecoin (scrypt) ASIC miner - unofficial speculation thread on: September 10, 2017, 12:20:35 AM
I will arrange for BW to put an introduction on their website next week with our contact details. And I am not sure what list you are referring to? We are the only retail distributor?

Well...the problem is...not very many folk on here will send you $$$ w/o a legit email or announce on bw.com of your legitness as it were....

IF that is cloudy..then some newbies will buy your product....and if you are legit announce such on thread here..the old hands will still avoid your product

and newbie accounts saying they got your product and you being a newbie account ...has no weight on here

thus again..not a slam..if you are legit you wasted a month getting cred on here when you could have moved product

and again this is NOT a plug by me to get a unit...philipma1957 has done such reviews and paid afterward. The guy who did the review from bw.com on this thread

paid after I believe also ..it is common.....I think longsnowsm on the original A4 unit group buy it was the same

pick your person on bitcointalk to do such to move this process along

but again..just being the official distributor on bw.com is helpful..but someone has to jump and get some first...that may take a bit on here w/o some more trusted

members like philipma1957 etc backing your play..you lose a month of sales while your trustworthness is verified (slowly imho)

thus how philipma1957 and longsnowsm etc were able to participate in group buys and/or review a product

(hey ..its just like the celebrities on the shopping network) Smiley

anyway good luck...I'm golden for product....so not a big deal...was bored willing to do a review ...but there are plenty of others on here

that would say you face the same bottleneck on being trusted and such....losing time (imho a month) while it got sorted out that folk COULD

get units thru you..)

anyway ask the other guys I listed as options for advice...you have mine Smiley

3955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BW.com L21 - Litecoin (scrypt) ASIC miner - unofficial speculation thread on: September 09, 2017, 11:56:59 AM
Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate your concerns. If you want to get some machines before we launch our site, I can offer a solution to verify. Contact BW directly (bw.com) and ask them for their distributors email, or whether they know who I am. Just offering the opportunity early as I am aware the interest there has been here from the members of this group.

again..anyone can get on that list (hell, I'm on that list) does no good for the numbers they want in my case...can't afford in bulk

proof is in the pudding ..again you are likely legit..but no way I'd take a chance with your bitcointalk newbie status

it is the only work around I know to your problem...find someone on here with decent trust rating (see my prev post( hint: me, me) lol) Smiley

send unit..trusted bitcoin guy reviews unit...pays after the fact.. and you have your status verified by a trusted member on here actually getting unit and paying after the fact
as proof of concept

not sure how else you could do this (paypal?) but w/o cred on here with newbie status will be a long, slow haul imho

good luck regardless, just how it flows with the never ending newbie scams on bitcointalk (see the bitmain thread as an example) your gonna find it slow going

later

I have some good news for you all wanting this machine. Our company Block Assets Limited is now the official international distributor for BW mining equipment including the L21 Litecoin machine. There is no longer a need to buy a minimum 100 units through us! If you would like to get your hands on any of our stock pre-launch then please get in touch with me at brett@balimited.io

Block Assests have been given the opportunity to bring this product to the retail market worldwide! Look forward to sharing the official site link with you all in coming weeks. In the meantime, get in touch if you want to reserve.

Thanks

and how exactly do we tell if you are legit with a newbie account?

my status here is legendary with a good trust rating...send me ONE and I'll review it and pay you for it after it arrives..thus establishing trust

if you don't prefer me others on here can be the same

philipma1957

longsnowsm

Maxumark

Searing (me)

others?

But right now with a newbie account with out someone on here with a decent trust rating and account standing...to act as a check on this being legit....with.too many scammers on bitointalk it is not gonna fly imho ..too damn risky

again ..not a slam..just the facts

brad

note: sent you a pm here and to your above email.

3958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon A4+ Coming soon - Pre-order and possible group buy on: September 08, 2017, 07:50:59 AM
So looking at the website, it says preorder 3 units with a deposit of 3150 if I do a wire transfer. How much would I owe after deposit? Is the 3150 70%? Sorry if this has already been addressed.
Yes.

The total 100% price for one A4 is 1500 USD.

The price for the A4+ will be the same per one Mh/s.
So if the A4+ ends up being a 550 Mh/s miner for example, the price for it will be (550/280) * 1500 USD --> 2946 USD

Or probably 2950 USD to make it an even number.

It is kinda tough to get fired up for a 3K unit that arrives end of November? Getting tough to justify equipment at this time...(even if they just let me get 1,3 or 5)

Just saying, not a slam,

well that sounds like a bunch of 'hooey' to me ...they are likely gonna do zip as long as they sell out within an hour or so...why spend the massive amounts

needed to upgrade the site ..to take the massive amounts needed to cut your sales from 1-2 hours of traffic jam...to 1/2 hour of better performance

they are just gonna continue to wing it and hope it hangs together imho

Looked at the bitmain facebook page...they are getting murdered by folk not able to get into their site and get
their product. Which confirms what most of us think here on this thread. They really don't give a f*ck, as long
as they can sell out.
