Can you link to some examples of threads that would go there?
Any "pool" that isn't a pool? GPUMAX, Project #2, etc.

And maybe things like mining contracts.

Can you link to some examples of threads that would go there?

How active are those threads?  If something pops up once a week that's not really necessary, if it's once a day that's a little different.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=55819.0 GPUMAX Very active
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=54467.0 Project #2 Active

I suppose there aren't many more than this at the moment (unless Pirateat40 wants to be specific), but I have a feeling that a lot more of this type are going to come along soon.

The old LadyBytes address is still getting coins send to it =/ Has InstaWallet done something that new donations to that address are going to LadyBytes?
According to the reddit post that was fixed already. Apparently the Instawallet site owner changed the link but was able to keep the address or something?

She the bitcoins are being redirected to her? what's happening to the bitcoins being sent to that old address?
This is what I saw: http://www.reddit.com/r/GirlsGoneBitcoin/comments/rk0hr/to_the_observant_l33t_hackers/c46g9vy

Watermelon.

All melons really. Cantaloupe. Honeydew. All crap.
I don't like them because of the distinct lack of flavor, mostly water. Some say that can be improved by adding salt, but the only good watermelon I had was one where someone cut a hole in it and dumped in half a bottle of vodka, and let it sit for a while.

Bump. What happened? Can't reply cause you are in jail? Grin

Or did we ever get some video of this?

+1, also variants such as marmite.
3968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Magazine on: March 30, 2012, 01:06:59 PM
Finished the ULINE catalog. I've seen every single product they have to offer and probably read the description for over 80% of them. I know the different width & tensile strengths of their cable ties, know the NRR of their various ear plugs, and know the load capacity of their shelving units. Next up is product/# memorization. The 5+ hours I put into memorizing these prior to BTCMag arriving will save me minutes if I were ever to order packing, organization, cleaning, and/or trash receptacles over the phone.
Next up is this one:

You might be able to finish it in time for the magazine to arrive. Maybe.

Pretty much guaranteed to burn your eyes out. Make sure you know wtf you are doing.

Watching...

PS I'd rather have a "as-cheap-and-barebones-as-possible" FPGA.

No fancy screens or built in ethernet or cgminer. Just a bare FPGA board that I can connect with USB.
Ztex?
3971  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Got me a Kill-a-watt and some 7970's..... on: March 30, 2012, 12:33:50 PM
My first 7970 came with a number of issues while booting. I had it RMA'd, the new card that just arrived reaches 750 MH/s (1225MHz core, 1375 ram, 1.07 V, 168A) with sensor readings (HWiNFO64) indicate I am pulling 193 watts (Core + RAM).  My first card would already be over 220 watts at these settings, seems either software improved or hardware improved, I used the same drivers from the end of Feb, so probably hardware changed?

This is probably just from leakage.  Each of the cards are going to have a GPU that is "binned" differently.  I've found on my rigs that as soon as I let the temps go much further than 68C, power consumption starts climbing pretty heavily (additional leakage from heat).  If I let the cards in one of my 4 card rigs run at 74-75C, power consumption goes up by almost 100W at the wall.  My 6970s/6870s/5870s/5970s don't do this until they get very hot (80C or above).
This is interesting to note. So as processes get smaller and smaller, power usage will fluctuate more and more widely based on temperature. All the more reason to have good cooling.

^^ Not to get off topic but how do you add to the Wiki page?  I take it you have to register with Wikipedia and then you can add in your info?

 Embarrassed
For the wiki at https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison you just click the "Log in / create account" link in the top right of the page.

Screw it, picked up a pair for cheap on some forums. Will have some numbers on this card next week.
Be sure to update the mining hardware comparison wiki, there are only single GPU 6870s listed there.

I don't have time to go through 40 pages, so long story short - Is Bitcoin Magazine a dud or what ?
It's a What. I'm pretty sure it's not a dud (yet), but Matthew pulled a BFL on us Grin

EDIT: Oh, and no, it's only Congress that can create rules/laws.
That's what the justices would like you to think.

The Supreme Court has the duty and power to interpret the law, not write it. That's why it's important to be clear in writing laws.
No shit, but have you been keeping up to date with all the goings-on in the courts? Justices way overstepping their bounds and basically inventing laws on the spot.  Undecided

I am missing one or two shares. Only one IBB share is showing. I had another share from another company "LIF.M" that is not showing up.
LIF.M was/is a scam, and didn't get migrated over.
3979  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [Split] Coineer Magazine on: March 30, 2012, 12:33:12 AM
So you have a physical copy available for purchase as well?  Is it at any physical shops, or does it have to be shipped out?  Do you have any pictures to show off the quality of the print job?

That is correct. Actual printed copies of the magazine are available now and they will be coming to retailers (first in Canada).

They are digest-size, full-colour, 80lb glossy magazine stock with saddle-stich binding.

I will be posting pics tomorrow so everyone can see what the magazine looks like (in print) Grin

Sweet, a 2600 wannabe. Hopefully they don't get lost behind other mags.
3980  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Using a 220V wash machine outlet for power..... on: March 30, 2012, 12:29:47 AM
How about getting a gas dryer??? The outlet & all its glory will be yours Grin

this is what I am thinking now....

Until you spark the gas with your miners. I have noticed that plugging things into 208v seems to always give a little spark on initial contact.
What, you normally leave the gas whooshing out all the time waiting for a spark? Grin Grin

Those things have pilot lights for a reason, although newer ones will probably light on demand with a high voltage starter.
