41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: April 24, 2024, 08:52:39 AM
Leverkusen has even made the Bundesliga more colorful again. I was originally the one who underestimated Leverkusen. And considers every win Leverkusen gets like luck. but my thoughts about them changed after they also managed to beat Bayern in the Bundesliga. And from there I began to see that Leverkusen had indeed become stronger.
Leverkusen actually made Bundesliga more interesting and more colorful after many years under Bayern Munich domination. Dortmund last season came very nearly to the finish line to lift the trophy but they lost it in last minute to Bayern Munich. What Leverkusen have done in Bundesliga this season is similar to how Bayern Munich usually dominate this league in the last decade.

Quote
And they are a club that must be respected in Europe today. Because becoming champion in the Bundesliga is something that is difficult to achieve but Leverkusen together with Xabi Alonso managed to make it happen. And last season everyone will definitely be curious about their performance in the Champions League. But for now we can judge them through the European league. Especially in the upcoming match against Roma.
They will have two other Europa League semi finals after going there last season. It's coincidence that they have a same opponent in two latest seasons in semi finals, AS Roma. With their outstanding performances in this season, from Bundesliga to Europa League, they have enough strength and confidence to beat Roma and have a first Europa League final match.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 23, 2024, 02:30:57 PM
On paper I agree with you, Borussia Dortmunt certainly has a lot of experience in the Champions League so they know how to deal with both the fear and the anxiety of playing at this level
Among other things, the German team seems to me to be a solid team, I dont think its that simple for PSG to conquer them easily.
PSG has many talents, they could be able to do some great magic to entertain us fans who watch the match.
I just hope itz not a defensive, boring game. I want to have fun.
Dortmund played many seasons in Champions League and they are experienced there but they don't have much experience in Champions League quarter finals or semi finals. They regularly participate in Champions League but are different than biggest clubs like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Barcelona with ability to appear very often in deep phases of Champions League.

Fortunately for Dortmund, PSG don't have many seasons in semi finals too so their semi final matches in this season will be very equal from their squad quality to experience in this round. Chance for Dortmund is like 50% to win and is not too smaller than chance of PSG.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin is fungible? on: April 23, 2024, 02:26:12 PM
Bitcoin is fungible, nobody and no government can change it.

Because Bitcoin is fungible, we have Bitcoin transactions with any bitcoin value different than round numbers. Because of fungibility, 19,689,128 BTC in circulating supply can be exchanged by many people. If it is non-fungible, actual available bitcoins for circulation will be very smaller because many bitcoins will be locked.

In addition, miners get transaction fee because Bitcoin is fungible. It is unrealistic to get transaction fee in only round numbers of bitcoin.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much did it cost to mine 1 Bitcoin back in 2009? on: April 23, 2024, 11:18:15 AM
I don't know any resource to show you cost of mining 1 bitcoin in 2009, but there is information for it in 2010. It is related to the forum admin, theymos.

Quote from: theymos
Around that time I measured with a Kill-A-Watt that 1 kWh could get me 160 BTC, and based on that I thought that BTC was substantially overpriced at the 5 cents or so it was trading at. As a result, I also have the honor of selling BTC at the lowest price ever recorded, $0.003/BTC. 🎉

(That "BitCoin" capitalization... such cringe...)
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: step-by-step process for BTC transaction on: April 23, 2024, 11:13:49 AM
Even when we "copy with the keyboard and mouse", it is important to be able to look at the original address and the copied address and make sure they are identical. Malware exists that can modify the contents of your clipboard. So, it's possible that you could copy an address, then the malware modifies the contents of the clipboard to be someone else's address, and then you paste that other person's address into wherever you are using it.
There is risk from malware and people must be very carefull when copying, pasting an address in their transaction broadcasting process. Check, double check will help them to avoid risk of sending their precious bitcoins to a non-wanted address.

How to lose your Bitcoins with CTRL-C CTRL-V

It can help to reduce risk and loss of hijack from malware attackers.

131 bitcoins in a single win is outrageous to be honest, I thought casinos used to have some kind of limit to an amount of money a player can win in a single win, just like on stake, it's been a while though but I remember I tried placing a bet on a really high odd mutil - bet game one time, and the system returned an error message telling me that the amount of my potential winning is way higher than the winning limit of the casino, and as such, my bet could not be placed, that I should reduce the amount of money I am staking or remove some games from the multi - bet to reduce the odds.
As far as I read from the case's update, the user who created the accusation seems to fail with it. The moderator on Casino.guru briefed the case, so far, based on evidences of both sides, game logs, it seems the user has very suspicious activities which are not helpful for this accusation.

You can read two latest updates from moderator on this case.

Update 1
Dear JesseJuliano,

This year, the Curacao government is implementing changes to the gambling regulations, which may lead to some delays.

I must point out that, according to the game logs, the gameplay in question appears highly suspicious. I comprehend the casino's skepticism regarding the legitimacy of your results, suspecting possible manipulation or errors. Given the significant amount at stake, it would be advisable to await the regulator's decision. I trust you concur with this course of action, and I can once more mark this case as 'waiting for regulator's decision.'

Update 2
Dear JesseJuliano,

We are extending the timer by 7 days. Please, be aware that in case you fail to respond in the given time frame or don’t require any further assistance, we will reject the complaint.
With a big company like Roobet, they have a big business and valuable reputation to protect, and I am not surprised that the user was accused with cheating accurately by Roobet.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: April 21, 2024, 01:06:00 PM
I'm not sure about that to tell the truth, I'm saying it at least for the semi final stage. Because the opponent is Marseille, not Leverkusen yet.  Tongue

I see Atalanta's chance quite high against them. A team that can eliminate Liverpool should be able to put up a good fight against Marseille undoubtedly. I have seen the odds for reaching the final like these:

- Leverkusen: 1.25
- Atalanta: 1.50
- Marseille: 2.50
- Roma: 3.75

Atalanta are even the second biggest favourite for winning the Europa League title according to bookies. I think that we will watch a Leverkusen - Atalanta finale and Leverkusen will be victorious.  Smiley
If Atalanta can beat Marseille and have a final match, even the opponent in the final is Leverkusen, they will have chance to lift Europa League trophy. In a single match like a final, a weaker team can win if they have proper approach, players execute tactics well and have enough support from luckiness.

Atalanta are not weak and they can beat any team in semi final rounds from Marseille, Roma to Leverkusen. The odds makes sense in my opinion because Atalanta looks better than Marseille.

Winning against liverpool has changed atalanta's odds a lot. It's really surprising me to see that caused by i was rarely seeing this happens. I would rather than favoring roma rather than atalanta in this competition. It's really weird caused by i never expect that if atalanta's odds will be that low.
The higher odds for Atalanta against Roma is because they don't have to meet Leverkusen in semi finals. Roma will be a direct opponent of Leverkusen in semi finals and the given odds shows that Leverkusen is a strongest candidate and most favorite team for Europa League title.

So in another semi final pair, Atalanta are considered higher than Marseille and it explains why their odds is better than Roma. It does not mean Atalanta are stronger than Roma.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Runes push fees as high as 900/vbyte or $196 US on: April 21, 2024, 01:01:28 PM
I think adaptation is something we all need to accept because even if the wave of BRC and RUNE passes there is no guarantee that a new concept will not be created and we will continue to fall into this situation.
I agree and I shared my thinking that they can come and go, many times. Except if Bitcoin developers can do something to stop these attackers. I really consider them as attackers, not actual users of Bitcoin blockchain.

They know that it's more easily to be known if they deploy their inscriptions on Bitcoin blockchains than altcoin blockchains and they see opportunities to make noise, get rich with Bitcoin blockchain. They will not abandon their rich games if the bull market is still here but actual Bitcoin users deserve to use the blockchain in either bull or bear market.
49  Other / Meta / Re: Introducing scammers to the forum. on: April 21, 2024, 12:49:57 PM
I have been thinking about how I've been reading a lot of topics from scammers who give themselves away easily by saying they recover bitcoins and I've been wondering how are these scammers finding about Bitcointalk when some regular people have not yet discovered this forum on their own.
Bitcointalk is the oldest and most famous forum about Bitcoin. It is not the initial domain name for Bitcoin forum but it inherits user data base from original Bitcoin forum created by Satoshi Nakamoto.

You don't need to be a genius to search about Bitcoin and will be given resources, links that direct you to this forum, Bitcointalk.org.

Quote
I know some scammers are intelligent people who read a lot and can discover this forum from their research while trying to gather information, but it is possible that some of the people we are referring to the forum are scammers, and we now also have to be careful of the people we refer to Bitcointalk.
If you want to be an influencer and go around to make speeches and let people around you to know about Bitcoin, this forum, it's not bad. You must know about risk on yourself like life and your bitcoin, can be kidnapped, stolen, and more risk. If you accept such risk, go ahead with public speeches in your communities but you can not control what people do. You only give them information, be a kind person or a scammer, they choose, not you.

Quote
Avoid referring the forum to friends and even family who we know have tendencies to become scammers, have affiliations with any known scammer, etc.
It's very unrealistic. You can not know what they want to do and if they are scammers, they will not let you know their scam intention. Very few scammers will let people know about their plans to scam.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Runes push fees as high as 900/vbyte or $196 US on: April 21, 2024, 12:25:51 PM
Complain does not help anything for us in our practice. We have to switch to other blockchains for our fund transfers when Bitcoin mempools are continuing to be spammed by Ordinals and Runes.

I believe these spam waves will come and go but it takes time for them to be resolved block by block and hypes on Ordinals, Runes become less and there will be less demands from them on Bitcoin transactions. It's certainly that we have to adapt to live with Ordinals and Runes so we must have other plans for fund transfers.

It's true to say Bitcoin blockchain during these attacks, are not helpful for the poor with small fund and even for the rich, if they are smart, they will not waste their precious satoshi for very expensive transaction fee.
51  Other / Meta / Re: Why is merit not common on trading discussion board on: April 20, 2024, 10:18:14 AM
This will be the best solution. It is easy to say there are only low quality posts in a particular section and not visit that part of the forum at all contributing to the low quality there. Merit sources do not visit those boards and are not obligated to if they are not designated to that board.
No contract between theymos and merit sources that after a merit source applies and gets approval to be a source, the merit source user will have to use sourced merit for distribution in one or two boards only. It's free to distribute merit to any board if the merit source sees good posts.

Quote
Some have those boards on ignore so any quality post there will not get noticed and there is no incentive for users to put in any effort to contribute constructively
Merit sources don't have time to read all posts of the forum, in all boards. Theymos does not ask merit sources to do it, it's a free job and they are volunteers to be merit sources.

If merit sources distribute sourced merits to good, quality posts, they complete their tasks, no more stress.

What browser do you use? could that also have an influence? because I didn't experience what you experienced and I've been using Brave Browser for several months and my account has never been automatically logged out of Twitter.
I use Chrome browser and it happens when I click on like a post or repost. I barely do it as I usually only read so I can not understand why Twitter detects me like a bot and log out my account. A notification appears and if I refresh, my account will be required to log in again. It only happens recent weeks, less than one month.

Talking about Elon and his actions on Twitter, it seems to be making social media better, but I just see it as an act of frustration because it turns out this didn't give him what he expected.
He has a lot of ideas, some are good, some are bad and I see he wants to change it to be a better platform. Succeed or not, I don't know but talking about bots, I think he is right on his intention to control bots that are contaminated many social media platforms.

We use a platform but want to interact with actual people, not with bots.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now that Bitcoin halving have been completed, what next? on: April 20, 2024, 09:55:25 AM
What path will Bitcoin chose following the halving
Bitcoin does not choose anything. It is coded by Satoshi Nakamoto, and mined by miners. It is traded by investors and traders and price will depend on Supply and Demand Principle.

After a halving, future supply for next 210,000 will have half of previous 210,000 blocks. Halving helps demand on Bitcoin to increase so you can see, less future new supply, bigger demand, what about price?

Quote
If this event will lead to more Bitcoin related innovations?
Innovations or new upgrades on Bitcoin protocol don't depend on Bitcoin halving. Developers work daily to upgrade Bitcoin protocol, from idea to code, test with test net before a deployment on main net. If you see an upgrade after a halving, it does not mean Bitcoin developers only develop it after halving, but they did it months or years before the halving.

Quote
If this will lead to more people getting involved in Bitcoin
Yes, it will. More noise on media, more free advertisement for Bitcoin, more people will get involve in Bitcoin.
54  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: April 19, 2024, 08:39:21 AM
It's true that there are problems and they are only temporary because I saw a post on Duelbits Twitter that the original game has returned to normal so you can use it now without facing any problems.

And to celebrate the return of the mines game Duelbits held a quite interesting event via their Twitter post, there are images that change quickly and you have to take a screenshot right when the image shows the mines game, as well as other orders to get $50 for five winners
Problems are solved and it's good to see Duelbits do more interesting events for their users and community. I am really uncomfortable with Twitter recent weeks when they regularly automatic log out my account and I have to sign in my account again many times.

It does not happen with Twitter on their application but happen regularly with a browser. I read news that Elon Musk wants to charge minor fee for posts and interactions with bots on Twitter. He considers it as good solution to fight against bot and I guess log out account regularly is another solution from Elon to cope with bot accounts.

It's sad that a normal user can be affected too.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: April 19, 2024, 08:31:32 AM
Liverpool was struggling and were unable to score any other goal apart from the penalty they scored by Salah and after then nothing else Liverpool have gone cold even in the Premier League. And imagine Atlanta disqualifying Liverpool who would have expected. What surprised me was the fact that Liverpool was struggling to score Atlanta. All Liverpool attacks were disallowed. Liverpool had 5 shot on target and they had a lead on possession but they were unable to score even with all this lead. Atalanta defended their home very well.
Liverpool started that match very good with a goal at 7th minute but they failed to trigger a collapse of Atalanta. They tried to do something in a second half but can not score any more goal and it's not because they played bad. Atalanta did played a careful match and reduced as much as possible risk from Liverpool. They know that Liverpool have a huge task to complete and when their players managed successfully against panic, they won.

Liverpool only can feel regretful with some individual mistakes in a first leg match and finding three goals against a club from Italy is not easy especially when they only focus on defense.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 19, 2024, 08:25:36 AM
Very surprising to see the four semi finalists, I’m shocked Man City didn’t make it, they dominated Real in the 2nd leg but if you don’t take your chance you will regret it. Real Madrid are a special force in the CL, so often they are not the best team but manage to find a way to win.
Manchester City did played good but I can say they wasted many opportunties in two quarter final matches and Real Madrid are simply strong and experienced enough to take advantage of any chance to beat Manchester City. They are at same level and both played well so if you can not beat the opponent, the opponent will beat you at the end.

The severity of their matches shown in penalty shootouts with two Croatian players missed their penalties. Modric and Kovacic are very experienced with penalty shootouts because they joined some with Croatia national team in World Cup and Euro tournaments. But experience can not help them to finish their tasks in this match because pressure is so huge.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: April 18, 2024, 03:36:17 PM
Liverpool's chances of qualifying are still below 50% because they are 3 goals behind this is quite heavy and if 3 goals are owned without reply then it is something that cannot be believed, but I know anything in the match later hopefully there will be surprises.

I don't see West Ham going through, Leverkusen are on fire they will continue to win without losing maybe the minimum result is a draw that Leverkusen wants.

The match is 4 hours away, so the line-ups won't be shown now, but I feel Liverpool will field their entire main squad so it could be Liverpool winning even if it's not above 3 goals.
They will not give up and will fight for their own chance to have a position in semi final round but their chance is not too good. Three goal difference is too much at this level and they will have to play home away in Bergamo. Atalanta is not a big club but if they can beat Liverpool with three goals at Anfield stadium, I believe they will be strong enough to secure this big advantage at their home stadium.

They have another support from not too good form of Liverpool recent matches. Atalanta will only need to start this match with maximum carelessness in their approach by which they will reduce risk from Liverpool a lot.
58  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Illusion of Trading Success on: April 18, 2024, 02:07:48 PM
Many are teachers only few are traders. They make their money from selling trading courses, teaching trading classes, creating trading contents for YouTube and other social media. They have their own trading podcasts and collaborate with people like them to talk about trading yet, they have never been successful at trading.
Trading is actual spending your money for trading.

It is different, very different than trading with demo accounts or learning trading courses with fundamental or technical things about trading. When it comes to actual trading, actual money, profit and loss, you will be affected by emotion and your psychology will be affected a lot.

You can see a professor teaches about trading but it's unsure that if the professor uses his money to trade, he will be one of rare winners in the market.

Someone won 131 BTC from Roobet.. They are not paying.

There are suspicions that Roobet manipulated the gameplay error logs which lead to player won that much..

Its about 8 million dollars in bitcoins...

https://casinoguru-en.com/roobet-casino-player-s-winnings-confiscated-due-to
I read that thread on Casinoguru and so far, there is suspicious and skeptical thinking about that user. There is also no final conclusion about the case yet but from what I read, it does not has anything to support the user to claim that winning.

Before the case is finalized by the regulator, it is not right to say either the casino or the user is the winner. Casino guru also recommended that user (if not you) to wait for updates from the regulator. Else you can go with hiring a lawyer to do it, escalate it for you.

I am neutral but it seems evidence shared to Casino guru and regulator, their, so far, thinking is not on that user.
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: April 17, 2024, 08:32:09 AM
Experience does not really matter, what matters is your tactics on the night, we have seen many inexperienced coaches go in to win trophies in their debut seasons, coaches like Pep Guardiola, Zizo, and even Xabi Alonso didn't really have the required experience before they were given their first senior jobs as a coach but were all successful and went on to win trophies in their debut seasons at their respective clubs, though experience play a little role but not certainly,
They need to have talent and luckiness to win trophies. Every coach needs those factors to win trophies even they are temporary coaches like Di Matteo who won Champions League with Chelsea, Tuchel won Champions League with Chelsea some seasons ago. Luckiness is important to win a single match and a battle but winners must work very hard so that luckiness will be like enough constructive factor for their success.

Quote
De Rossi might not be an experience coach but he has improved the club better than where he might them,  explaining and passing his tactics perfectly well to his players, now we can see the improved results of his Roma side,
It's still far for De Rossi and Roma to win Europa League and a first barrier is to win against AC Milan at Olimpico stadium after all. They only need a draw to win in aggregated result but I am sure it will not be an easy task for De Rossi and Roma. After that, Leverkusen will likely be their next opponent and after that one more opponent in the final match.

They will have go through some last challenge to win Europa League that will be a second title in Roma history in Europe.
