42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pretend that you believe storing btc in an exchange is better than a hard wallet on: September 29, 2024, 10:39:48 AM
Although using a hardware wallet is advised, it’s not 100% foolproof either—sometimes we make mistakes, like our devices getting compromised, often due to user errors.
You did not leak your private key when broadcast your transaction with a hardware wallet, it is safer than other methods.

Quote
For a change, since most of us here recommend not storing Bitcoin on an exchange because of the "not your keys, not your coins" principle

So, let’s have a little debate to test everyone's knowledge here: defend why we should store our Bitcoin on an exchange instead of a hardware wallet. Enjoy! Cheesy
Debate is not necessary. Rather than debate, read what is advised and absorb it is better.

44  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some qualities a good trader should have on: September 29, 2024, 02:34:13 AM
I think many people will be against this statement that trading is not gambling.
You can trade, everyone can trade but whether your and their tradings are like trading or more like gambling, it depends on how the trade is made.

Quote
Trading is involves prediction without actually knowing the outcome and this is why most people don’t trust it and rather easily relate it to gambling. Personally I wouldn’t debate on that even if I think it is not but I tell people that even if it is gambling then it is a calculated gambling because the odds are in your favour if you do the right analysis unlike the other gambling
Trading if is done properly, will start with your analysis for your entry, your exit and assessment of risk and profit if you open a trading position. A responsible trader will open a trading position if analysis shows that chance to get profit is higher than risk of loss. But above all, that trader has a solid plan on his exit with two possible exits: one exit for profit, and another exit for a draw or small loss to take the initial capital back.

Defending initial capital is most important and if a trader can do this, it's truly trading. If a trader can not do this, it's gambling, and no longer as trading.

To be truly a trader, make sure of using Stop loss order or Stop limit order.

One of best weapons in trading. It's a stop loss order but there is another weapon in trading, stop limit order.
What is a stop limit order?

How the hell did you make your telegram accounts banned? it's simple, read their term & conditions and you will avoid the ban. People who are getting banned is always people who:
- Spamming.
- Scamming.
- Other illegal activity.
I never have had any issue with my Telegram account and several years ago, Telegram improved their platform by assigning a scammer bag on Telegram user that has many scam reports against it.

15 most common Telegram scams

How to report scams on Telegram
What is the Telegram Scam Label (Tag)?

It is logic if an account receives many scam reports, will be banned after all.
46  Economy / Gambling / Re: Playgram - The Telegram Casino 🟡 on: September 28, 2024, 10:48:47 AM
I have heard that a lot of people got their account banned due to unknown reason.
If their accounts were banned, Telegram will show reasons of bans for them.

Telegram has hundreds of millions of users. Unless you heard from a few million, at least, you can't say that a lot of people got their accounts banned. Wink It's true that changes were made to Telegram's TOS and Privacy Policy
Changes in Telegram's ToS and Privacy Policy won't cause your Telegram account to be banned if you did not use it for scamming or bad things in the past.

Telegram is a paradise for impersonators, scammers so it's good if these accounts got massive bans from Telegram.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025 on: September 28, 2024, 10:36:10 AM

Top three clubs in Premier League will have their matches and Manchester City have highest risk to lose points because they will meet a strong opponent Newcastle United and it's also a home away match.

The 6th week of the English Premier League will be held today, there is one very interesting match to watch, namely the Man City vs Newcastle match, they are both quite tough teams and this is an away match for Man City at Newcastle headquarters and bookmakers give odds to Man City of @ 1.61 in my opinion it is a reasonable odds and most likely Man City will win.
Newcastle United begin this season well, and it's different than how they began the last season. Manchester City lost Rodri by an ACL injury and he will miss all rest of this season, it's huge loss for Manchester City because Rodri is very important with their tactics. Newcastle United can take advantage of this shock and Manchester City did not have enough time to adapt to this newest change, to find points in a match they will host the league champion.

Quote
For other matches I bet on the Arsenal and Liverpool matches, I think they have a greater chance of winning Arsenal against a promotion club with a performance that is not so good while Liverpool also faces a club that is currently performing poorly which is at the bottom of the standings.
I agree both Arsenal and Liverpool will have good chances to win their matches and wait for opportunity to catch or surpass Manchester City on the Premier League Table.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Kamala Harris wins, Bitcoin will be fine. on: September 28, 2024, 02:35:08 AM
Regardless of Kamala Harris' knowledge about technology/IT (something I can't evaluate), as a president she would not be in charge of the technical details of a tech-education policy. Not even her ministers (although from these I would expect at least a bit of detail knowledge). The real knowledge is normally at secretary level (i.e. one step below ministers in the hierarchy) and below.
A President has many ministers, many governmental staffs who are responsible technically to help him/ her and no person can know everything about finance, technology just because he or she is a President.

I am not focusing on it too technically but I think about it like this. Will Bitcoin be good or bad with Kamala Harris as a President of the United States?

Let's think about how the USA economy will be if Kamala Harris is the President?
I don't know what you think but I think the economy will be more terrible under her administration and because of big impacts of USA on the world, if its economy is terrible, in recession for example, the rest of world will be affected seriously too.

Will Bitcoin be fine in that scenario?
Maybe Bitcoin market will have very big shocks like what happened in Covid, after the WHO announcement that it is officially assessed as a pandemic, Bitcoin lost 40% or 50% of its price, I recall it from memory, not check details.

In long term, Bitcoin will be fine but in short term, we will have market massacre.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Harris Vs Trump - Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election on: September 28, 2024, 02:28:02 AM
There are valid arguments showing that he is better than Biden on certain occasions, but calling him better than Harris is just silly especially after the way he botched the debate against her recently.

Harris might be a corrupt politician just like any other politician, but she is clearly better than Trump overall and only his fans would say otherwise.
Did Harris actually make a better speech in the debate?

Did you watch the debate or simply read reviews on media, televisions which are all manipulated by Biden, Harris team and Democratic Party?

If you want the debate fully and if better, watch speeches of Harris in interview recent weeks or in the past, she is very bad, no good train of thought. No idea on good policies for her country and by this I don't see anything that makes Harris better than Trump.

Watch Kamala Harris's broken speech on economy.
https://x.com/EndWokeness/status/1839744097403167184

This is another explaining reason on why Google made "bugs" in their Search engine and months ago, after Biden passed his nominee to Kamala Harris, if you Google "Donald Trump", you will get all results about Kamala Harris; while if you Google "Kamala Harris", you will only get results on Kamala Harris.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Harris Vs Trump - Bitcoin betting on the 2024 US Presidential Election on: September 27, 2024, 10:29:17 AM
That is what the US get for even allowing someone like Donald Trump to contest for the president for the second time, not after what the whole world witnessed during his first administration. This guy is selfish, self-centred, dividing and inciting, the US has never had it this bad in this new age where their president/intending president would have it almost all wrong.
You can say whatever you think about Trump and his personal characteristics, but about his works as a President, it's better than Biden and Harris time.

Quote
You can't open your mouth to say the truth but it's all about you and what you want to achieve, so you must find a crooked way to get it. As you said, the truth doesn't matter anymore and the US president's seat looks like a mockery now even as everything looks like a TV show, so we should enjoy the show as it unfolds.
It's what's happening in the Presidency and administration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. The censorship in the USA happened four years ago in 2020 Election and it has been lasting till 2024, not better but become worse.

So is it because of Trump or combination of Biden and Harris?

Watch why Robert Kenedy Jr. left Democratic Party, but in his words the party left him.

These people Biden and Harris have no solid explanations why they opened the USA border for criminals, drug traffickers and violent people invaded their country. Lately because of their fear of losing the election, they do this.
Immigrants Are Becoming U.S. Citizens at Fastest Clip in Years

The only explanation is they are doing this, to import undocumented illegal immigrants and approve them as citizens as fastest process, to steal the election again. It's because these new citizens will surely vote for Democratic Party.

You can see this common trend in European countries too, with massive problems from illegal immigrants and locals are trying to request governments make mass deportations, to bring their countries back to normal.
51  Economy / Gambling / Re: DGbet.fun - Crypto Sportsbook | No kyc, No limits, Instant withdrawals on: September 27, 2024, 06:49:28 AM
Yeah, there have been some controversies with that, but it's not like it was their choice. People are quick to forget that all the KYC requirements come from governments, not businesses.
But I believe the KYC only applies to Brave rewards not Brave wallet (as mentioned above, they are not the same thing).

Anyhow, MetaMask seems to be working fine for me at least so far.
I only gave information for people who did not know about Brave team but Brave browser and Brave wallet are different products. People are all free to choose wallets they want to use, that can be MetaMask, Trust, Brave, Myetherwallet and anything else.

They only need to have basic information about these wallets, read reviews and consider risk and benefit of their experience and their fund safety, before using one wallet.

It's good to see your sharing that MetaMask wallet works fine with your end.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do when the next wave of spam floods Bitcoin? on: September 27, 2024, 01:39:47 AM
I guess you're asking about spam on the network, like ordinals which will cause fees to jump significantly and fill up the mempool. So far, theyve blown over after a few hours or days so you can wait it out if you don't have any urgent, pending transactions to make at that time. You should also consolidate your smaller inputs when fees go lower now, so you'll be spending less if their is a few spike.
Network and mempool spams occur some times but these spam attacks won't be able to last forever. It comes and disappears because if attacks won't bring profit, attackers will stop. These things initiated by developer teams to create hype waves in investors, speculators and gamblers who want to get rich quick. In earlier phases, these people smell opportunities to get rich, then they are hurry to join the party. With time, the party comes to over and late comers will have higher risk than early birds, it's when these attacks will naturally die by market selection.

53  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dollar cost averaging Bitcoin - can we do better? on: September 27, 2024, 01:33:08 AM
I agree here. So basically your model is valid for the "growth phase" in adoption, and when we approach saturation we have simply to accept it breaks. I also agree that it is difficult to predict how high the percentage of global savings could be in the "full adoption" scenario.
Majority of Americans aren’t confident in the safety and reliability of cryptocurrency.
The research on Americans but globally Bitcoin also has big open space for further adoption.

I agree with you, that everything will come to a point of "saturation" and Bitcoin adoption growth will hit the "saturation point" in future but based on the research result, I believe that we are still far from that point and in near future like next 2 or 3 market cycles, Bitcoin will continue its good growth when adoption continues to soar sharply.

Quote
And of course Bitcoin can fail.
Yes, Bitcoin can fail like others but risk of failure in 2024 is much smaller than in earlier years of Bitcoin history.

The bullish case for Bitcoin (Part 2).

Lindy effect works and Bitcoin is not excluded from Lindy effect.
Quote
Furthermore, the Lindy effect suggests that the longer Bitcoin remains in existence the greater society’s confidence that it will continue to exist long into the future. In other words, the societal trust of a new monetary good is asymptotic in nature, as is illustrated in the graph below:

See image in the medium article.

If Bitcoin exists for 20 years, there will be near-universal confidence that it will be available forever, much as people believe the Internet is a permanent feature of the modern world.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rare Satoshis, thoughts? Anyone on here holding or trading? Block 9 450x? on: September 26, 2024, 10:02:57 AM
1. Use explorer which support Ordinals or other NFT such as https://ordiscan.com/
2. Enter your Bitcoin address on search bar.
3. Click on tab or section which shows any rare sats.

The website also have statistic and price for such satoshi on https://ordiscan.com/rare-sats, but i don't guarantee it's accuracy.
Or can use this website https://magiceden.io/ordinals/discover-raresats

I see this is very bad for privacy by typing a Bitcoin public address and check Rare Satoshis, perhaps only for fun and nothing more. If want to do this, to satisfy curiosity, people can check it with Tor if they want.
55  Economy / Gambling / Re: DGbet.fun - Crypto Sportsbook | No kyc, No limits, Instant withdrawals on: September 26, 2024, 06:48:52 AM
Nope, Brave Rewards and Brave Wallet are two separate things. Brave wallet essentially works the same as MetaMask and alike, it's just already integrated in the browser.
Brave wallet seems to be an open source wallet.

Their source code on Github https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/wiki/Brave-Wallet

Brave browser has bad history and broken their own slogan on privacy, by requiring their users to KYC for claiming BRAVE rewards from web browsing. I dislike that policy change from Brave browser and Brave wallet is developed by Brave browser team so I don't trust this wallet as well as the Brave browser.
56  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what would you do when you can no longer trade? on: September 26, 2024, 04:47:46 AM
This topic is directly concerned to those traders that have intention of making trading their only source of income or trying to make trading their life time job. My suggestion is for you not to only relay on trading.
Except if you are a very experienced, professional trader, you can get profit from trading and you can have your main income from trading. Otherwise, trading is risk and majority of traders lose money with trading. In addition, if you get profit from trading very well and sustainable, it's better if you spend controlled and limited time for trading, and use most of your time for other things. So you can work for money, hang out for physical exercises when you are not trading.

Even you are a professional trader, you will still be able to do other jobs and get money, it means your income will not only come from trading.

Quote
Invest in other passive source of income and also in good assets so that when you can no longer be able to analyze the market, you can survive on your other investment.
Investment long term in Bitcoin is good and profitable. It is applicable for many people while trading is good only for very few people.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2024/2025 on: September 26, 2024, 04:41:51 AM
Now Everton even wants to hire Gareth Southgate the former coach of England. Gareth Southgate had a good performance while working in the England national team but he got fired in the end. while he said get believed that they were wrong in getting him fired.
He was working in the England national team from 2016 to 2024.
Everton can do it and Southgate can have another chance to prove his ability, not with a national team but with a club. Honestly, with a club, Southgate ability will be assessed better because he will manage many more matches with a club than a national team. His strength and weakness in management will be shown more clearly in club management.

Getting Gareth Southgate is a huge flaw. I recently saw that new of how they was going to get Graham Potter who I consider a better candidate for the job over Gareth Southgate.
Southgate is not the great coach they think he is, as for Graham Potter, he's got good experience in the Premier League Competition and it'll not be difficult for him to manage underdogs like Everton.
Southgate received a lot of criticism when he was a coach of England national team but results were not good enough. He did brought England to third place in World Cup, a final match in Euro 2020, and another Euro final match in Euro 2024, but he failed with both final matches and there were some not too good decisions from him, that cost England titles in Euro. After all, Southgate decided to leave the national team and find a new challenge for his career.

Assess him as a good coach is possible but as a great coach, he is not at least at this moment. He needs to win big titles like Champions League and with national teams to be recognized as a great coach.

Youtube is like other media platforms, can be used by scammers but when they do their works, they will do it with a trend. In your post, you said these scams on Youtube are nearly the same, it's understandable and explainable. Scammers copy and use a same scam method in a scam trend.

In the past, scammers on Youtube did some scam trends too. In a market bull run, scammers are  more active than in bear market, because in bullish months, people are less careful than in bearish time and there are also more newbies in this market.

The death of bitcoin. No real world use case to buy things from a major retailer. Walmart knows that taking payments in BTC would be even WORSE than paying merchant processing fees...
And we are here to discuss a death of Bitcoin, really?

Bitcoin is not a replacement of fiat currency for daily payment. It can be used like it when transaction fee is cheap or with Lightning Network or Layer 2 solutions but it is not the only use case of Bitcoin.

It can be used for payment, investment, store of asset and more. You're free to see what use case is interested and helpful with you from Bitcoin and start, or if you don't see anything helpful but only see a coming death for Bitcoin, now it's time to ignore Bitcoin.

The bullish case for Bitcoin
