201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it okay for Bitcoin Core development to be funded by Banks? on: February 02, 2024, 02:40:34 PM
To start, Banks and governments will fight to prevent its use as a currency or they will co-opt it to more completely control the movement of money.

Yeah, and how is that working?
Cause I see governments legalizing's Bitcoin everywhere but when I ask bitcoiners if they want to use it as a currency 99% of the responses are "My previous, why spend it, it can be 10000% after the halving, it's stupid to spend this investment, my precious, give it to me".  Grin
They will have to sell bitcoins to have cash but how much they will sell from total bitcoins they have will be different by investors. Investors who have strong finance and good finance management, will don't need to sell bitcoin because need of money to use. They already reserve cash to use without need to sell bitcoin.

With small investors who can bet all in bitcoin, they have bad capital, financial management and they will have to sell bitcoin even before a halving. Sometimes they have sudden need of cash and can not hold their bitcoin.

Have good financial and capital management will hep us to maximize our chance to get profit.
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 02, 2024, 01:18:17 PM
Manchester United got all 3 points yesterday and they should all be thankful to Mainoo who was able to convert that chance he had from the run. Imagine he missing that chance then I think the fans will be ready to tear him apart and I guess he had that in mind before taking that power shot.
They led the opponent 3 -1 but let them equalized it within 10 minutes and they must feel happy and appreciate the big gift from Mainoo. Hope the young player will grow up more and contribute more for Manchester United and this important role for the club is his good beginning in Manchester United squad.

Quote
Now you see why I tell you Manchester United aren’t a team to trust because they can hand you surprises when you don’t expect because I don’t know why a team having a 2-0 lead will begin to fumble to 3-3 at the final minutes. Well they’ll have to work very hard if they want to continue fighting for an European spot and they’ve got to begin with the Goal Keeping position.
They can score goals and even many goals but they can fail to protect their goalkeeper and can not turn their goals to winnings and points. It happens many times in latest seasons and again we just witnessed their chronic problems. Their weak defense also is bad because they easily got big and shameful defeats like a big defeat under Liverpool or Tottenham.

Those shocked defeats usually are not from a strong team that can be trusted. Manchester United are a risky team for gamblers to spend money and bet on Manchester United. Even they won against Wolverhampton, many gamblers lost money with their belief and bets on Manchester United.

I guess for experience gamblers, we shouldn't used VPN in the first place. If it is prohibited by the casinos and it's clearly on their ToS, then we shouldn't violate it simply as that as it might give you problems in the future.
If we don't have something to hide, we should not use VPN because benefit is less than potential risk and damage on our account and money.

By saying "something to hide", I don't imply that users use VPN are bad users but they must know about risk of casino's suspicious activity detection, and if they don't want to have problem with it, they will be careful with VPN.

If they care about privacy, want to use VPN, make sure they don't store big money in their account. It's their prevention for something bad happens and they fail with their appeal.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Revision of High transaction fee in bitcoin. on: February 02, 2024, 12:10:57 PM
If you don't want to pay high fees, use a network or lightning network and broadcast the transaction/open channels when the fees are low, batch transactions when the fees are low, use a good wallet that supports RBF options, but the option to support some quick fixes like increasing the block size Or banning BRC20 has bad future effects.
Consolidation is good to use when mempools are clear and transaction fee is cheap. Lightning Network will need an on-chain transaction to open a channel, so if demand to use it only occurs when transaction fee is expensive, it is unrealistic for small Bitcoin holders, who don't need to make many transactions.

Side chains like Liquid or Rootstock.

Political bets are very interesting and hope we will see them on many crypto casinos. I think it was very easy to predict Biden as a winner in the previous election, I didn't know about political bets or I would really bet on him.
There are some things are very hot and big, politics and religion. Members in a family can have serious conflicts just because of politics or religion. Betting on political events are surely hot and gamblers are keen on joining those hot events. Especially the USA. President Election that only happens every four years. This year, it's very probably a second fighting between Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Some survey results recent weeks show that Donald Trump has better chosen rate than Joe Biden but till the President Election day, it will be enough time for many changes from politics, economics and other things in the USA as well as around the world. Those changes can affect this election a lot similarly to 2020 Election when Joe Biden suddenly got a gift from Covid-19 pandemic and eventually won against Donald Trump. Without the pandemic, I believe Trump would be the winner and the Elected President in 2020.
206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why a large Bitcoin transaction does consume more space on the Blockchain on: February 01, 2024, 04:11:17 PM
to my knowledge a large Bitcoin transaction does consume more "space" on the blockchain than a small BTC transaction.

Why that?
What are large and small transaction in your post?

If large and small are their sizes, it means all already.

If large and small are values of those transactions, it is different and it seems you misunderstand how Bitcoin blockchain works.

Transaction fee is paid by users to Bitcoin miners, who confirm transactions but they don't care how big or small value of that transaction. They only care about transaction size, fee rate and at the end transaction fee they receive.

Transaction fee = Transaction size * fee rate.

With same transaction size and same fee rate, transaction fee will be the same but transaction value can be either 1 btc or 1,000 btc or even more.

207  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: As a trader never settle for less on: February 01, 2024, 01:34:25 PM
There is a certain level of desire for anything. Once you reach it, your desire for it will decrease. Money is something that everyone seeks to achieve. However, once you reach a certain stage of wealth, you will begin to search for something special of your own, for example a car with limited editions, a phone with a personal design, or a designer dress. Especially for you, or a rare piece like a painting. All of these are reasons to satisfy the desire to get something new and in exchange for it you may pay 10 times the money. Therefore, contentment is better, setting a certain level of profits according to the money in your hands, and striving to improve your financial situation year after year is better than searching for more money, and you deserve to get thousands of dollars per month.
You gave many good examples and from small desired things like phones, car, etc. I would like to give bigger examples. Some billionaires are very rich but they don't buy luxurious assets and just live their simple life. With them, simplicity is best and some people like Bill Gates even left his powerful position because it will help him enjoys his life with less pressure and stress from powerful position.

When you are poor, you want to be rich but when you are rich enough, you will find ways back to yourself. Look at your soul, with meditation, connect back to wild environment and assets mean nearly nothing important with you.
208  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was Bitcoin ETF really a good thing for growth of crypto and Bitcoin prices? on: January 30, 2024, 05:59:13 AM
It would of been good if they approved all the etfs except GBTC. Reason why is because when it converted to an etf, the shares were unlocked with the bitcoins and the outflows started to happen.

Since they kept their fees very high, many people left for the other etfs. But the bigger issue is companies like Ftx selling the shares they bought years ago at a deep discount. This leads to the decline in bitcoins price and will continue until people are done selling GBTC.
It will need some weeks or months for investors and market to digest selling pressure from Grayscale but eventually Bitcoin market will be fine. Because capital from Black Rock, Fidelity and other ETFs are bigger than Grayscale and surely they will want to buy more bitcoin.

In addition, it is not logic if Bitcoin skyrockets after approvals of Bitcoin Spot ETF when everyone expected its soar. Market makers usually do oppositely than majority of market participants think. I bet Bitcoin will go side way for a while maybe some months and only start to grow after Bitcoin halving.

My expectation is Bitcoin will have good bull run since Q3 2024, not too soon in Q1 or Q2 2024.
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 30, 2024, 12:59:53 AM
We should probably make decisive actions regarding the matches of the present form of AS Roma, because they're gradually falling back to brilliant form. AS Roma nets a goal against Sportiva Salernitana, it wasn't tough for the visitors because they came prepared, they have everything in plan and pulling big shoots for the best.
Salernitana is a weak team in Serie A and they even created many difficulties against Roma at their home stadium. Salernitana created some dangerous attacking situations and came closely to an equalizer. Roma played better in the match but also struggled to secure their three points. They won two latest matches against two weak teams and it's far to say they are back to brilliant form.

Excuse me, but this is so wrong...

They are not gradually falling back to brilliant form. They are actually miles and miles away from brilliance and this result against the last team of the Serie A table standings only came to happen because Roma had two shots on target and both hit the back of the net. In the entire game they had two shots on target, that was all they had against the weakest team in Serie A.
There is a fact we can not deny, they are getting better results in two latest matches than previous matches with Mourinho. We also can not ignore another fact that in previous matches, Roma and Mourinho had to play against stronger clubs so losing points is not something strange. With two winnings, De Rossi and Roma can move onward with more confidence about themselves and they need to beat strong clubs to prove that they are ready for top four. Brilliant form is not important and the ultimate purpose is joining top four.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 29, 2024, 05:04:17 AM
The decline in Bayer Leverkusen's goal productivity began to appear when they managed to achieve a dramatic victory at Augsburg headquarters, they were only able to score one goal in that match and Leverkusen achieved success when the match was almost over. After that, Leverkusen played another Big Match, they were forced to use all their energy to face RB Leipzig's very disciplined game, a dramatic comeback was achieved in that match.
Leverkusen does not have deep player resource like Bayern Munich and they have many young players in their squad who don't have enough experience to use their energy wisely through a match and a long season. Xabi Alonso is responsible for it too because as a head coach of Leverkusen, he must request his players to slow down in playing intensity when necessary.

Quote
Now Leverkusen is starting to run out of gas, even though they are playing at their own base, they are unable to secure full points.
Now Leverkusen have only 2 points more than Bayern Munich and we knew what happened with Dortmund in the last season. With Stuttgart and Dormund at third and fourth positions with only 37 and 36 points while Leverkusen and Bayern Munich with 49 and 47 points, Bundesliga seems to be a race between two top clubs only. Because the competitor is Bayern Munich, Leverkusen must be very careful if they don't want to be another version of Dortmund in 2022 - 2023 season.
211  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blochain wallet ISSUE ! on: January 29, 2024, 04:47:33 AM
isn't it more easy if copy my 12 words of the wallet and put it on a Trust wallet ? rather than dealing with electrum thorugh phone !
Trust wallet is a wallet for multiple coins, Bitcoin and altcoins. I am against practice to use a wallet for both Bitcoin and altcoins.

Choose a wallet for Bitcoin, only use it to store Bitcoin.
Use another or other wallets to store altcoins.

Electrum wallet is available for mobile, Android. What is you issue to use Electrum wallet on phone while you can use Trust wallet on phone?

for high rollers, you are not exempted to undergo kyc on this site. just a reminder though. withdrawing more than 5ETH is their trigger to conduct kyc.

https://metawin.com/games/kyc/

Is 5 ETH a triggering amount for a single withdrawal or a lifespan withdrawal value?

At the site notification pop-up, it is 25 ETH withdrawal in less than 60 seconds. It looks impossible to have KYC completion within 60 seconds.

I also see mSOL, USDC, PEPE so is the term needed to be like 5 ETH and equivalent value of other coins?
213  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blochain wallet ISSUE ! on: January 29, 2024, 01:16:18 AM
But today i do have a issue with BLOCKCHAIN wallet
1. i copy the address  and send 0.022 BTC from an exodus wallet
2. Transaction has more than 20 Confrimation
3. The BTC isnt showing up on Blockchain wallet at all , it used to show up instant even when 1 confrimation
Did you try to check the address balance with Bitcoin block explorers?

20 confirmations so that address should have a balance with that transaction value plus what you have in it before that transaction from Exodus wallet.
If balance is shown on block explorers, you don't have to worry because issue is from Blockchain.com wallet.

A similar guide like Charles-Tim.

How can I migrate from blockchain wallet to Electrum?
Importing your private keys, seeds into Electrum.

Choose BIP39 after enter your wallet seed.

You should verify your Electrum wallet too.

214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Lightning Network Tutorial on: January 28, 2024, 03:58:08 PM
In this topic, [Table] All Lightning Network Threads In One Place, you will have many tutorial threads about Lightning Network. I believe those threads will be helpful for your guides.

Very few exchanges have Lightning Network for deposit and withdrawal but basically if you can use Lightning Network from your non custodial wallet, it will be better than using centralized exchanges.

The barrier is you have to open your Lightning Network channel, with an on chain transaction, before you can use LN as an off-chain solution for your bitcoin transactions.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is nothing like it since the past 12 years on: January 28, 2024, 03:43:38 PM
I don't know who needs to hear this, I had no job when I started gathering some Bitcoin for long term hold, I looked wreteched for few years, I eat single meal per day, I looked old at a young age, like those who don't want me to carry on my BTC journey used to tell me, but in the end it all went well
I am very confusing by reading your post because if you could not have a job, no salary and have to minimize your diet to only single meal per day, how did you invest in bitcoin?

Health is most important so you must have acceptable diet, meals daily to maintain your health. With good health, you can learn, find jobs and use salary to invest in bitcoin.

Quote
Because since the past 12 years, there is no investment that does it better than Bitcoin, you can't find anything like this anywhere else.
Bitcoin is best in risk management and ROI but there are other cryptocurrencies that provide better ROIs. The big reminder is they are more risky than Bitcoin and very few people can bet on right altcoins to gain bigger ROIs than Bitcoin.

If you want both, safety and good ROI for your investment, Bitcoin is best.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have updated the list now. The issue I was facing was with image hosting, maybe the images were too small and were getting rejected when I was attempting to upload them individually. I just bunched them up and managed to upload it. Does it look fine?
I think those images are good enough. No visual issue from my view, you made a great job vennali.

Trying to add sportsbook's logos along with the name but having some issues with it at the moment.
What is your issue with sportsbook's logos?

I am unsure that all sportbooks in this topic have signature campaigns but I believe most of them have signature campaigns. You can visit Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns and get their avatars.

If the issue is their avatar size is too big to fit with your table column, you can use image resize websites to do that.

We will soon celebrate the Run Bitcoin even from Hal Finney who already passed away.
