1041  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Canada bans crypto leverage and margin trading after FTX collapse on: December 15, 2022, 05:41:11 AM
Instead of complaining , we must still be thankful because they only banned those features and not the entire crypto.
There will be some features for cryptocurrency market will be eliminated by governments. There will be more regulations on cryptocurrency market. There will be more enforcement on tax in cryptocurrency market. Fortunately, I believe strongly that cryptocurrency market will be here, not be eliminated.

Quote
And like you said, crypto will still be functional even without those. This is great actually so that no more newbies are going engage directly on them because they are riskier than the basic ones. Now they can expect less losses from those who engage in cryptos.
It helps to save more people who are not knowledgeable but over greed. It helps to reduce panic sells and big red candles because of forced liquidations.

After suffering serious loses, people might have deeply serious disorders mentally that are barriers to keep them in the market or return in future. If we can prevent it at start for cryptocurrency newbies, it is good or at least not harmful for them.

Quote
Before Canada, it is said that US already did the same move, so don't be too confident and say that it didn't happened on others because there is a big possibility that they will be next on the list but again there is no need to worry as cryptos and its other features are still running continuously.
Before it is really applied, I consider it is a fake news or at least  a fud news.
1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saudi Telecom (STC) accept Crypto payment in Bahrain. on: December 15, 2022, 05:29:51 AM
I don't understand Arabic but with Google translate, I did not find any term on Know Your Customer at STC's Terms and Conditions

If it is truly their Terms and policies, no KYC for their customers, it is good for normal users and for cryptocurrency users who want to use cryptocurrency to pay bills and other payment on STC.

Could anybody from Arabic countries can confirm STC policies on KYC, please?

Google Translate is not too good.
1043  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Canada bans crypto leverage and margin trading after FTX collapse on: December 14, 2022, 11:18:21 AM
Did Canada ban leverage, margin tradings for stocks, forex?

If they did not have these bans on other markets, it does not reasonable to ban these trading types in cryptocurrency market.

Cryptocurrency market won't die if it does not have margin, leverage, future tradings and it is only unverified news from Canada. Even Canadian government go far like this, it is only one nation on Earth. There are more other countries allow margin, leverage, future tradings in cryptocurrency market.

China ban Bitcoin mining, ok move to other countries.
Gambing is illegal in one nation, ok gambling company moves to and register their license in countries which accept gambling.
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When devs don't even know what they are doing on: December 14, 2022, 11:11:39 AM
It is not true to say developers don't know what they are doing.

Cryptocurrency is open source but developers do know what they want, what are their aims when copy code and create a clone coin. They do it with laziness and intention to scam investors easily without many initiatives in their codes.

They might not be capable to code something news and can change a world, a blockchain industry but they know what they're doing certainly at beginning and when they abandon their projects.
1045  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance futures Are you full time trader ? on: December 13, 2022, 03:06:57 AM
But whether you are a successful trader or not you are not focus only trading. It is good to have different options of financial stability and not to rely on one side. You can quit the boss job no problem but you have to involve in something else that will supplement for your at the down times. This is important because such times are always to be considered in life. Trading is an area of livelihood business that also would give you the chance to involve in other investment.
It is true @palle11.

People should assign big part of profit they get from trading for investment. If they use that profit to continue trading, they will end losing most of it. That is very bad ending after starting from small capital, make it to a big one and end it with nearly initial capital or worse less than initial capital.

You will be very negatively disappointed if you end your trading like this.

I don't believe much in trading that most of traders can have profit from trading and manage risk and their orders good enough to prevent loses later. Investment is best especially investment in Bitcoin.
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: December 13, 2022, 02:52:38 AM
Why is so quiet here?
By the way, I would summon the campaign participants to again support the representative account of the project. In the past summon, we helped it to rank up to full member and now it is not too far to rank up to Senior member. Why do we not give it a helpful hand?

A very long lasting campaign should be supported enough. It's fair support from community and participants.

Looks like we are in very interesting moment right now for the GOLD token price. In my opinion soon we will see sharp spike or further correction, of course i count for the spike, keep accumulating GOLD tokens as much I can.
After all silent and boring movement, it would be enough accumulation for gold so a spike must come.

Wonder your thoughts? Will GOLD token hit another ATH this year?
I don't know about another ATH this year because we are very close to this year ending.
1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to recover Myetherwallet password? on: December 09, 2022, 01:25:45 AM
In most cases, the Myetherwallet password cannot be recovered. It is important that you have an easy-to-remember password for the private key. In this case, you should use the MetaMask extension for the Chrome browser and no need password. You just need to insert the private key. Done.
Easy to remember password is a terrible idea. It will be brute-forced easily and you should use a strong password instead.

[Guide] How to create a strong / secure password

Are your passwords in the green?. If your password is weak, easy-to-remmeber, it would be in red and unsafe, unsecured.

Important to backup your password, not to remember it with your brain which can be damaged and lose its memory some day.
1048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here Another Reason Why Bitcoin Is So Important To Humanity on: December 09, 2022, 01:17:48 AM
Banks are centralized and controlled by governments. When governments corrupted or collapsed, it is hard to see banks can exist well and without damages. As bank users, we are the very last ending components in their chain and at the end, customers bear most of loses if a bank goes bankruptcy.

Last but not least, nowadays we can not use Bitcoin for everything in life, every where so we still need fiat currencies and banks. We only should not store all of our capital in bank accounts, not in a single bank or multiple banks.

90% in Bitcoin and 10% or 20% in fiat currency is a good allocation for me.
1049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigerian government set to tax bitcoin and crypto transactions on: December 08, 2022, 10:40:44 AM
Of course it is, but history is full of breaches of government spending. I personally don't trust my president and financial secretary for doing the right thing for the community, and that's mostly because they don't know what's the right thing to begin with.
We can not trust them completely but society must have government and their staffs to operate. One party is down, another party takes over the government and it's democracy that can keep society works well. It's not perfect but it is better than no government at all or a dictatorship.

Quote
I'm not in favor of zero taxes, there's absolutely a percentage of income that has to be taxed, and a percentage of services the government might be doing more effectively or/and properly than the private sector, but our government spending has reached the ceiling.
It's good to know that you are not a zero-tax supporter. I believe tax is necessary but how government use tax to serve their citizens, communities and their national well-beings is a challenge.

We only know it is good or bad after they do it.
1050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigerian government set to tax bitcoin and crypto transactions on: December 08, 2022, 03:14:34 AM
I think you've went at the extremes. Obviously some cryptocurrency users are purely selfish, don't want regulation that affects their pocket, want their coins to rise in value, sometimes even have their national currency debased to gain capital appreciation, and the like. But, don't take it to the other extremeness, in which we should welcome more regulation (as if it isn't a bureaucratic paradise already) that is completely hostile to the cryptocurrency market, for the sake of the community.

Governments attempt to tax the citizen at the drop of a hat. Somebody designed something for ordinary citizens that's easy to avoid taxes by, and now they're sweating. Without conceiving that either of those is morally fine: Pick a side.
Not extreme!

I only want to emphasize a fact about tax and growth of cryptocurrency market. We can not want one and reject the another one.

It is fair enough if cryptocurrency investors have to submit their tax report and contribute part of their earnings to government tax treasury and contribute to communities, societies they are living in.

I know governments are not perfect and they even corrupted too but without them, societies would be in mess. Democracy is a tool to control governments and their policies. In countries where there is no democracy, governments are dictators and citizens bear lot of unfairness and bad policies from governments. Their voices won't be listened by governments without democracy.
1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigerian government set to tax bitcoin and crypto transactions on: December 07, 2022, 02:33:59 AM
To be honest, I fail to understand how people want a lot.

What do they want a lot?
Get rich by cryptocurrency
Avoid tax on cryptocurrency
Bigger cryptocurrency adoption
Better regulation on cryptocurrency and better protection for cryptocurrency users, traders and investors

Tax is something neccessary to keep communities going. Many infrastructures in societies are built with money from taxation on citizens. Without tax, we will have less of neccessary infrastructures.

Not all things in societies can be built as community-led.

So please don't feel panic with tax on crypto. It is a good step to a brighter future for crypto. If governments want to tax on theur citizens, they should have more and better regulations which are good for this market.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Governments will issue "stablecoins" on existing main stream blockchains on: December 07, 2022, 02:28:41 AM
Stable coins so far are used to mention about altcoins which are created by non-governmental parties.

If you imply about another representative of fiat currency which is created by governments, central banks, it is CBDC term.

What do you need to know about CBDC?

1053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Negative Relationship Between the Monetary System and Bitcoin on: December 06, 2022, 10:33:30 AM
When people lose their trust in fiat currencies, they will find other assests which cqlan be better storages of value.

Bitcoin is one of good storages of value because its total supply is only 21M, can note changed to be higher like fiat currencies with high inflation. With Bitcoin, you can only have less and less Bitcoin in circulating supply because more bitcoins will be lost when people lose private keys.

The collapses of Venezuela fiat currency is good reminder for people to choose Bitcoin as well as fiascos of Terra UST, FTX FTT and many tokenized Bitcoin tokens lost their pegs.
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to recover Myetherwallet password? on: December 06, 2022, 10:21:00 AM
There are different methods to login your Myetherwallet. Key store is one of methods to use. If you have it, you can simply log in your wallet by importing it to Myetherwallet but must hve a password to decrypt that file and get a private key.

If you back up your wallet in mnemonic seed, when you import it, you will not need any password.

1055  Other / Meta / Re: Prevent Multiple Bitcointalk Login on: December 05, 2022, 01:25:58 PM
If you login to your account, log out, your Bitcointalk account will immediately log out on all devices you used to login before. After you log out, you can login again.
Your account won't be logged out on other devices if you log out it on one of your devices. Logging in, out. If you don't use Tor, your account will stay logging in. If you use Tor, when you close it, your account will be logged out.

Of course with your account password, you can log in, log out it anytime, on any device.
1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A single alt coin which gives you profit multiple times? on: December 04, 2022, 01:51:51 PM
Raiblock (XRB) A.K.A NANO.

From this alt-coin, I finally know more about Cryptocurrency. It's super easy and free for mining this coin on the olds day, you just need to solved captcha for the coin. Finally this coin making the big success by listing on Binance.

It's crazy.
That coin is crazy in early of 2018 when it was Raidblock. $28 for that shit token that was rewarded by solving captcha in 2017.

In the 2021 bull run, it recovered to over $10 but now again it is traded under $1. The token is crazy as it has changed the name two times from Raidblock to NANO, the token ticker changed three times from XRB to NANO and now XNO.

1057  Other / Off-topic / Re: Reuters Report: Crypto among highest-growing topics on twitter on: November 30, 2022, 02:45:33 PM
With twitter changing its identity after Elon Musk bought it, it seems that crypto is (besides NSFW topics) the most growing topic at the platform.
Twitter is a very cryptocurrency friendly platform and it is more favorite by cryptocurrency developers, teams as well as investors, influencers, shillers. It is a more favorite platform for crypto than Facebook.

Moreover, it does not happen recently but has been like this many years. The ownership change to Elon Musk does not change it at least as what we see now.

Quote
Lets see how this will impact the crypto scene and also if there will be an impact to bitcointalk.org
How many Twitter users have their accounts on Bitcointalk forum and how many forum users have Twitter accounts? Many accounts on Twitters are multi accounts and it is one of reasons Elon delayed to buy it months ago. In this forum, in altcoin bounties board, shit posters use their Twitter accounts to join bounties and did not contribute anything to the forum except traffic.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralized and Decentralized Exchanges Binance research on: November 30, 2022, 02:38:29 PM
Binance tried to expand their service and their customers by launching Peer-to-Peer trading feature on their platform. It was launched in 2019 before a 2020 bull run and even people have to KYC on Binance to use their Peer-to-Peer trading, it is a good service expansion from Binance.

Months later, they launched Gift card trading which brings Binance to more users. They are not pioneer in Gift card trading but they got great success too.

Decentralized exchange are not a new term but I believe that Binance will bring this branch to a new high with their initiative. Bear market and Binance saw opportunity after FTX collapse to make their exchange, their ecosystem bigger.
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MetaMask Tracking IP Address on: November 28, 2022, 04:02:48 AM
Metamask disgusts me. Although it is non-custodial, it is extremely dangerous. If your device is hacked or your wallet is compromised, the hacker will be able to see your seed again. That means your entire wallet could be drained. I've seen a few similar claims online. As a result, use metamask with caution.
Some wallets disable seed visibility when you import your wallet seed but some wallets show your seed words by default. It makes your screen more vulnerable to hackers and if your devices are infected, your seed words will be seen.

Quote
Most software can track your IP address. To avoid tracking, use a proxy connection whenever you use a wallet. It is not only Metamask that collects your IP address. I'm no longer a fan of Metamask after one of my known people's wallets was drained.
Do you have any recommendation on better wallets to use than Metamask?

Myetherwallet
Trust wallet
Safepal wallet
C98 wallet

What is the best in your opinion or any other wallets that I did not write down above?
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Excessive greed is detrimental to investment on: November 28, 2022, 03:32:06 AM
When I was new to cryptocurrency I was totally ignorant about market prediction, volume, future plans.
You don't need to have predictions but you need plans to manage your capital.

Volume in market is like blood in living things and you must pay attention on Trading volume.

Quote
Finally I would like to say one thing from my real life, don't get too greedy in cryptocurrencies and hold any particular coin for a long time.  It has the possibility of much more loss than profit.
With Bitcoin, you should hold it as long as possible, maybe at least 4 to 8 years. After two halving cycles, I am sure you will end with very enjoyable profit.

Quote
Will the market go to the previous position?
When you invest in a bear market like now at prices are very lower than all time highs, you will get good profit when they reclaim their past all time highs. Honestly, you don't need to see a new all time high to double your capital.

Like one year ago, if you want to double your capital, you must see Bitcoin touches $120,000 or $130,000 but now you only need to see it moves up back to $30,000 to double your capital. That is very good chance.
