41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spain bans betting adds - no celebrities, no sport sponsorship, no daytime adds on: October 05, 2021, 01:18:47 PM

just adding some other points to the discussion
on places drugs are forbidden you don't see any ads about drugs on television, radio or whatever, pretty sure that even places with lighter regulations still don't have massive ad campaigns on that

I understand we need ads to feed the "passion for products" and I know from experience that they work

but not all industries need ads

the example of the drug market is a good one because people don't need television or internet ads, it just sells
What drugs are you talking about? Pretty sure I can give you some examples of those drugs that you're talking about. There are ads for cough medicine in my country. Well, not all industry but given how glamorous and how ads benefits almost any kind of business, I don't think that there's no industry that Haven tried advertising.

I am very relieved to report that I have now received all pending withdrawals after 19days.

Good luck and great wins to you all!

See OP, all it takes is just patience, I knew that they won't simply let their reputation be tarnished that easily especially if it can be resolved, @lightlord is just so busy, even our pay outs we're moved to a bi-monthly basis so it's easy for @lightlord to distribute the payouts and do the posts.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Arizona has legalized fantasy sports betting! on: October 05, 2021, 11:44:42 AM

From the information when you search online about it, I think it involves a team which you select for both sides then you belong to one team and off course you play to win the other team. Maybe I'm not very correct but I searched and got that on quote.
if you can do more searches to understand better.

Quote
Fantasy sports betting is a different concept from traditional sports betting, as you don't bet directly on the outcome of any sporting events. Instead you create a fantasy sports team and compete against opponents to try and win money.

I also did my due diligence and searched about it and you're right it's as you say it is, I don't find it fun though, I mean they can probably do some sort of tweaking to your opponent without your knowledge so I don't trust this kind of game.

key thing is: bad for who?
not for bitcointalk signature campaigns if Spain gambling business end up coming online

in the end I think its good to have some regulation on the kind of publicity we allow on media, specially for young people

Brazil could definitely benefit for having less ads about beer and alcohol...
we don't have gambling ads here

idk...
Of course for the gambling businesses, businesses need to stay relevant so they do advertising and sponsorship to place their name on where the public can see it while watching their favorite sports.
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: October 05, 2021, 10:16:34 AM
This fight is just a quick cash grab for those two, this is definitely going to be in favor of Fury, it's unlikely that Wilder will be able to do anything, not to mention that at his best, he was only able to do a draw.
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔻 List of Casinos and Sportbooks to Avoid on: October 05, 2021, 09:42:43 AM
Op, you should make it in alphabetical order so people can easily scan for websites with just their first letters. I don't know if this has been added already but PNXbet is part of 1xbit if I recall.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Arizona has legalized fantasy sports betting! on: October 04, 2021, 03:59:03 PM
How is it any different than a normal sports gambling for that to be legalized as if it's a different kind of gambling? Can someone tell me the difference because from what I've seen, there's not that much difference to a normal gambling.
48  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think about this? on: October 04, 2021, 03:09:06 PM
It would seem to me that there could be problems with registering more than one account due to the fact that suc
h website sites sometimes offer promotions and giveaways. Not only that but multiple accounts could look suspicious in the eyes of regulators. So the casinos might not want to put themselves into hot water...
That's what I was thinking too, that can be the only valid reason why they don't allow multiple accounts in their websites, just like this forum, they don't like the idea of multi account but it's not explicitly banned.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain and Gambling on: October 04, 2021, 02:29:40 PM
It has brought to gamblers easily because of blockchain. With this tech, everyone can easily understand many things not only about blockchain but as well as crypto.
The good thing about it is that it has given a lot of advantage not only with its feature but as well as additional knowledge.
But the fees are exorbitant though so it's not really the best one to use right now because of that. Maybe they can just stick to what they're using right now, it's not like what they're using is offensive or anything so why change right?
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legalized Gambling where you live..where does it stand? on: October 04, 2021, 01:44:54 PM
Gambling is pretty much legalized in my country although, I did some research and I've read that you're going to need a lot of money to start your very own casino and the license are about 6 digits in the country's currency. So even if it's legalized, not many gambling house as it's expensive, not to mention that Chinese POGO workers are pouring in the country to work for Chinese owned casinos.
51  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betburger on: October 04, 2021, 01:02:42 PM
First time I've heard of that site, are they a crypto gambling site? Not a lot of people are talking about this site here so not many are familiar of this one and I hope that whatever issue they're facing right now, it's going be resolved especially if it involves a player.
52  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of an iPhone in Bitcoin at their launch over the years. on: October 04, 2021, 12:03:06 PM
Is that for real? An iPhone 13 only costs about half of what I currently have in bitcoin? That's pretty absurd and such a good comparison on how big the growth of bitcoin is over the years that it has been existing and at the same time being scorned as a fad or a scam back then.
53  Economy / Speculation / Re: October Bitcoin bull month. on: October 04, 2021, 11:17:34 AM
Hopefully it's not going to be just this month and that the run will continue to go up and rally towards a new ATH and hopefully stagnate there for awhile and then do a run again. Hopefully by that time, I would have around .2 bitcoin with me so I can enjoy the the bounties of my hodling.
54  Other / Archival / Re: [POLL] What to expect from Bitcoin in 2022? on: October 04, 2021, 10:15:16 AM
I don't have that much expectation, bitcoin tends to break expectations so I don't expect too much or too big from bitcoin, for me it's the prices and more people and institutions including countries continue to adopt bitcoin.
Me too, bitcoin has done a lot of things before that we never expected, I remember when at that time bitcoin was still around the hundred dollar mark and not a lot of people really thought anything that it will go higher than that and then it did.
55  Economy / Speculation / Re: El Salvador run or survive? on: October 04, 2021, 08:58:45 AM
El Salvador's action to make Bitcoin legal tender can survive as long as the government keeps the country safe from the high volatility of Bitcoin. They should already be aware of the thing that people would be in a great loss when the times that Bitcoin price dumps a lot. Bitcoin is one of their main currencies from now on in the end and they should be extra careful from now on. There are already many people who are opposing Bitcoin in the country.
They won't be able to protect bitcoin from that, they're not the biggest whales out there so it's not really in their reach on what's going to happen next, the best thing that they do is that they don't use the public funds to invest in bitcoin or at the least make the investment as small as possible.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 6000 coinbase clients hacked on: October 04, 2021, 06:23:46 AM
This is scary, I have some considerable amount of my tokens in Binance and I am definitely risking those coins from being atolen because I don't have any hardware wallet and the hardware wallets that store those tokens are so expensive and a lot of the tampered ones are spreading online, being sold to unknowing newbies.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "cash in, cash out" on: October 03, 2021, 11:57:03 AM
Some of the investors are only focused on profiting, specially those who have big investments. They are not willing to explore what other things BTC can do but we can't blame them because most of those who started here thinks of profiting in the future.
That's what I would do too if I am an investor, I mean it's the name itself, investor, they're invested in bitcoin because they see value in it and not because they believe in it's future, it's nothing to be worried though, it only takes one person to believe that bitcoin could go above and beyond for bitcoin experience changes.
58  Economy / Economics / Re: I tried money making apps! on: October 02, 2021, 05:17:48 PM
I have a bad experience about a lot of money-making applications. They are exploited applications that make you watch a lot of ads, download many applications, answer a lot of surveys, and in the end you get some dollars after a great effort from you that may last for many months, I see that these applications are just a waste of time, I have tried the SweatCoin app it already pays you to walk but you need to walk for years to get $100 Is it worth it?!
That's their scheme, they make you think you're making money too but the real winners there are the developers because they're the ones that gather those brands and put them as so called way to make money but it's really not. It's a waste of time no matter how big they're promising you.
59  Economy / Economics / Re: Neopets attempts to cash in on NFTs, proceeds to burn up goodwill on: October 02, 2021, 04:14:17 PM
Isn't this Neo Pets a game? It's not an NFT game though as I feel like it's have seen some of their advertisements before so they sound familiar to me. I don't see why not get in the action, the craze is a wildfire and it's not a good thing to ignore it as it is right now.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen to the bitcoin price if adoption increased on a larger scale? on: October 02, 2021, 03:34:43 PM
It seems that everyone seems to agree that it's definitely going to go up because of the law of supply and demand, which is true because it's the most basic principle in economics, when there's more demand, the price goes up but it has to be that the supply doesn't go up either because there won't any competition for demands because there's a lot for everyone.
