41  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Hashkings Lending,Deposit 1.25% INSURED, ALL PPT ACCOUNTS CLOSING ON 8/19 on: September 11, 2012, 09:26:04 PM
hashking, please don't let them get to you, just focus on those with deposits...

JoelKatz, go away, your not helping

Yes he is. You only started listening to him much too late.

He's not helping anymore, he's kicking a dead horse.

HK, Please check your PMs (even though I understand you are probably flooded with them). I just need to know what withdrawal address I used with you.

Or is it safe to hit the withdraw button after the original term is up with no ill effects?

Leave the withdrawal button alone.  I will initiate it once I'm ready to send funds.

Then can you answer my other question please?

I did receive your pm.  I will contact you before I send any funds out.

Good, thanks.

Well, thank you for telling us about the "various things" and "alot of factors." I feel so informed. How about a good-faith 1% payment or something, anything.

1. Do you not feel like you are asking too much from a person who just had their operation tear down in front of them?

2. HK could have easily up and run but instead is showing a good-faith effort to pay everyone back.
1. He lied to depositors about risk
2. Pirate made the same amount of effort hashking has.

I'll just write this one off as a loss this week.

You are correct. You do have a right to be upset.
We'll see where this goes.

To be fair, he said the deposits were insured, but didn't specify the timeframe that the insurance would be paid out over.  You are lucky it isn't 30 years.   Roll Eyes

I don't think I've seen a post where your avatar has been more appropriate.

I will currently be suspending all interest payments and withdrawals.
As I receive coins from the various things that I have going on I will start sending people's principal back.  I will also be purchasing coins from my personal
funds.  Interest that has been paid out will be deducted from the current principal.  The reason for this is I would like to get everyone's principal
back before anyone receives anymore interest.  I am not able to give a timeframe on the repayment as there is alot of factors that can effect it.  I know for sure it won't be
weeks or months, but more then likely in the ballpark of 3 years.

Why did this happen?

Over the last several weeks, I have had alot of depositors request their funds back with no new deposits.  I have been able to process these requests up until now.  I was also buying mining equipment and had some bad luck with some of the new vendors on the forum.  I put in some large orders that I never received the equipment in a timely manner, received equipment that really didn't work up to spec, or was forced to take a refund at a higher BTC price.  Finally I did make a mistake and invest a portion of the funds in BTCST along with with some personal funds.

I do feel very bad that this has turned out this way.  I will do whatever I can to get everyone paid back.  I am also at a personal loss.  Payments will start going out Monday 9/8/12.  This will be a slow process, so please be
patient.

At the very least, I appreciate you being transparent and sticking around. Hopefully it won't take 3 years to pay everyone back, but better late than never. This still doesn't excuse you lying to get deposits.

52  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitfloor status update - September 6, 2012 on: September 06, 2012, 08:51:10 PM
After careful consideration, ACH withdrawals of USD from Bitfloor will soon be re-enabled, with details to be posted on bitfloor.com. ... As I have previously stated, all USD funds are available as no theft of USD occurred.

Glad to hear it.

Best of luck resolving your situation!
53  Economy / Currency exchange / [WTS] 1,000 GOXUSD 1:1 for USD. Wire,cash,check,WU2BANK,ACH,PNC cash deposit on: September 06, 2012, 08:37:26 PM
I bought 1,000 Mt. Gox USD that it turns out I don't really need. I'll sell it 1:1 to untrusted members for a domestic bank wire, cash in the mail (USPS, UPS, FedEx), or a cash deposit at a PNC Bank branch. I'll sell to trusted members (judged by me) for checks (cashier or personal), WU to bank (I can't do pickup, the WU near me rarely has a grand in the drawer when I stop in), ACH, or any other method listed previously.

See my signature for ratings. I also have a few small transactions on this forum:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=100694.0 Hard drive loan
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=92273.0 2 btc loan from IBB
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=95219 paid gweedo for services rendered (he provided service first)

Update 9/8: I can take PNC cash deposit as well.
54  Economy / Goods / Re: Guild Wars 2 Gold on: September 03, 2012, 09:11:24 PM
oops, looks like the average was actually 24 silver per 100 gems.
On top of that, currently I can receive 283 gems per gold.. but it looks like I should not do math anymore today, as my calculations from before were either way off or just misinformed.

Forget what I said earlier.
55  Economy / Goods / Re: Guild Wars 2 Gold on: September 03, 2012, 03:18:22 PM
I did the math on this, tell me if I made a mistake.

100 gold = 10,000 silver.
The current average price is 24 silver per gem.
That means 417 gems =~ 100 gold.
$10.00 USD = 800 gems, so $5.21 = 417 gems.

Maybe $1 off of the gems to gold trade is fair, so using the Gox Average, 4.21/10.95=~ 0.4 BTC (rounded) per 100 gold.
56  Economy / Goods / Re: Guild Wars 2 Gold on: September 01, 2012, 02:10:53 PM
I'm too lazy to look up the current exchange rate, but there is an in-game gems <-> gold market. You could set prices off of that market minus X%.

Understandable. As much as I appreciate my free PNC account, I knew someone, somewhere was paying for it. Looks like it's you.

Cash deposit works just as well though, it just requires a quick trip to the bank. I can live with using wires for withdrawing.
60  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Who Pays What? on: August 29, 2012, 09:45:07 PM
Interesting that there's an exact negative correlation between credit score and interest rate: pick any two deposit takers with a different credit rating, and the one with the higher rating offers a lower interest rate.

It's entirely understandable though.

One could say that's the price you pay for peace of mind.
I'd much rather have my money with Patrick at 2/3 or even 1/3 the rate of other deposit takers because IMHO Patrick is the most trustworthy deposit taker on this forum.
