I think the biggest issue is fantom forked a project that has not been released yet. There are reasons the parent project hasn't been released. From my experiences, this dev can be wreckless but he is only 12 years old. And yes, this is relevant since we are talking about the developer of YOUR coin. I don't think the dev is trying to hide niitassin == duckyeah! since it is public info on Github. Also I forked DarkSilk from crave and have spent thousands of hours working so for someone to take the work, make no change, keep the same magic numbers and ports, give no creditation. Then yeah I will say something. Anyway I'm done here. I'm going back to the silkcoin thread and back to fixing my code in preparation for the prelaunch of DarkSilk as I'm thoroughly testing my software prior to release as it is unfinished. It is very interesting to see the BCT cancer spreading and the toxin doing its work in the thread of yet another alt-coin.
Anyways, if the Fantom dev fixes the code and gets everything sorted out, Dark Silk becomes obsolete. I think that this is the biggest threat to the original coder and probably the motive driving all the posts which explains the hostile behavior. The decisive factor is not if the Fantom dev is 10 or 14 or 20 or 60 years old, but if he can make the code fully productional. It is long overdue to have a proper CPU mineable coin and this could be it if the Fantom dev delivers the goods. There can be arguments for and against the code being released in its current state. A lot can be said for going to market first even with buggy code. It is not a foreign concept with even well known software companies going to market quickly with unfinished code and sorting out bugs and flaws later.
Would be delightful to follow fantom devs commits. thats what open source dev is about! but keep the hopes up. i will too. |

If BCT would really trace back IP addresses, don't you think they would have used it to expose who the dev(s) are that are including RATS in their code? That seems a lot more important than to try and tie this dev to some kid(s) who do nothing but clone and implement broke code. Sorry, unleashing Trojans is much more serious than someone unleashing broke code. I really don't understand why these self-made super investigators feel happy if they succesfully trace down the dev. Who the fuck cares if it's a 12 yo kid. At least he's trying. ATM, the most important thing is to get al the bugs fixed and not flaming the dev It will be fixed soon after the code that SLievensDRKSLK is working on is fixed. (If DuckYeah doesn't throw in the towel before then.) I now have my eye out for Darksilk.  I really hope this embarassment doesnt make it on an ezchange. crypto has had enough scams/incompetent devs and yep lots of room for people interested in a real dev developing this project over at Silk. |

There are still a lot of differences such as CCoins too DarkSilk will launch with these changes you mention in place Did I review the wrong code or do you have another repo? I'm glad you included theses and other fixes. I only named a few. I know you have been working really hard on DarkSilk. Are you including Sling's market in the first version or did you remove it? i was wondering the same. have i wrong git? that may be i had. if so the core is ok? but not out yet? How many times..... DarkSilk is not released. ok. but dont ignore these olds bugs. cryptovote already gave you some small part of those. he knows what we are talking about. problem is not the mastenode code, but the main code.. all because of some guy messed up sourcecode out there really bad time with the earlier masternode shit coins. who was it? icm? name if you can. I know about the mess of Crave. It doesn't work, simple. I have been working on DarkSilk since April and CryptoVote was using MY commits and is now helping with DarkSilk which is nice of him. A simple example and proof of this is the fact that the mixer is disabled in the Crave source to not display on the overview page, ask yourself why. It is the typical cancer of BCT - nobody can do anything without being fudded by someone else for whatever reason. This place is toxic in this regard and one of the big reasons why no alt-coin has made any significant progress. Sometimes it best to not post anything or face certain death by fud. Sorry for posting here again, but need to explain this wasnr FUD and the coin is not fixed. This is what was said. But nonetheless hopfully we can find something useful in your code as you commit to benefit both coins. Youre welcome tho for your codebase from the Silkcoin comm. The goal is after all to be an open source community as opposed to closed communities using open source code. |

Well sorry man wasnt FUD, but yes in the future when the code is complete we can let you know privately so you can fork the code and release this coin without having a disastrous effect on your investors and community. For previous comments. Yes this is what open source is about, but using code from an unfinished coin in current tesring phase and lainching while asking for public funds is dangerous. We will let all of ya kmow when the code is complete. Else guess can follow the commits as we releaae them. Spencer has worked on this for thousands of hours.. so maybe good to wait until the code is complete befoee releasing to the public. Then yep open source fair game! |

That color scheme hurts my brain. Also, someone with UX experience should help out. I understand that it's a technically advanced wallet, but the amount of parameters and checkboxes is way too high. I'll lend my time if you want some help. Would be very interested in hearing your views and ideas for thw wallet including any ux improvements you feel may make for a better experience. this is what testing ia all about ux and esthetics included. the primary focus of current testing is this extremely feature rich client and at thw same sense trying to minimise cpu usage so anyone can use it. look forward to hearing all suggesions and i will do my best to chronicle and communicate tge group of testers as a whole. thanks for joining the thread! edit: in addition we could use help with experienced wiki writers for each segment of this client both from bare bolts and future user experience. darksilk is a caddilac in the crypto world and has many bells and whistles. a clear description of each of the features will be essential. |

It is a new launch. DarkSilk is a coin in its own right. The will be a swap period from Silk to DarkSilk though for current holders at the point of the ANN thread launching. The moment before I start the ANN I will snapshot all addresses on the Silkcoin blockchain and their balances. These will be entered into Weaver for the swap period. The swap period will be a short amount of time i.e 72 hours - 1 week Will Polo be a part of the swap or do coins need to be withdrawn? This will not be a standard swap. coins will be fully exchangable through the silk weaver so no need to withdraw from any exchangs. looking into the sync issue but imagine the seed nodes may be expired. trying to get a hold of palm but the .conf file mentioned with the peers above should fix the issue for now until we upgrade the current Silkcoin Client. |
